Abstract

Fried food waste can have negative impacts on environmental and health problems. On the other hand, fried food waste can be processed into biodiesel and animal feed. So that the utilization of fried food waste can increase the supply of fuel and animal feed which continues to increase along with the increasing population in Indonesia. Cooking oil is a renewable material because it comes from palm oil, coconut, corn, soybeans and others. So that the manufacture of biodiesel and animal feed can be preserved and developed in the future. Based on these problems, community service activities (PkM) in RT 3 and RT 5 located in RW 13, Curug Village, Bogor. This PkM activity was attended by 20 participants and was carried out in five stages. The first and second stages were in the form of counseling containing the delivery of material on making biodiesel and animal feed. In the third and fourth stages, training was given on making biodiesel and animal feed. While in the fifth stage, monitoring and evaluation were carried out. The indicators of the success of this activity were evaluated based on the pre-test and post-test values ​​carried out for both biodiesel making activities and animal feed making activities. Based on the evaluation of the comparison of pre-test and post-test assessments carried out by participants, it shows an increase in understanding of biodiesel production from an average value of 38 to 75 or an average increase of 99%. While the increase in understanding of animal feed production from an average value of 21 to 69 or an average increase of 224%. This activity received high attention from the local community. In addition to increasing understanding and expertise regarding biodiesel production, participants also increased their awareness to maintain environmental sustainability and maintain health.

Abstract

Plan an optimal geothermal well drilling scheme, the identification of suitable drilling parameters must be well known.Several important parameters in a drilling operation include rotary speed (N), weight on bit (WOB), true vertical depth (TVD), foamflowrate (FF), and rate of penetration (ROP). Information regarding these parameters can be obtained from drilling geothermal wells.Drilling parameter correlations are then obtained based on this information. The application of an adaptive neuro-fuzzy inferencesystem (ANFIS) is necessary considering that the relationship between parameters is very complicated and non-linear. On the other hand, the relationship between parameters is not easy to know. In this study, the ANFIS model is developed to propose ROP. Data wasobtained from four wells in a geothermal field in South Sumatra. Three ANFIS models were generated. Each model includes different input parameters. rotational speed (N) and weight on drill bit (WOB) and true vertical depth (TVD) are recommended for estimation of rate of penetration (ROP). Adding the foam flow (FF) input rate parameter can improve the accuracy in three out of four cases. Based on the calculation results of the ANFIS-1, ANFIS-2, and ANFIS-3 models, the average relative absolute deviation (MARE) values were 16.42%, 6.99%, 4.14%, respectively, while the correlation coefficient (R) was respectively - respectively 0.716, 0.909, and 0.937

Abstract

One physical characteristic that is helpful in comprehending the physical and chemical characteristics of a solution is the density of the polymer solution. Its primary function is to ascertain the polymer's concentration in solution. The density value can be used to estimate the polymer concentration in solution. The study of the flow and viscosity of polymer solutions also makes use of the interaction between the polymer and solvent. This study aims to establish a relationship between the density of porang and xanthan gum solutions and the percentage of porang, polymer content, and salinity. Machine learning models, like the Adaptive Neuro Fuzzy Inference System (ANFIS) and Artificial Neural Network (ANN), are used for modeling. The creation of these machine learning models used 471 digitized data of density curves of porang solution, xanthan gum solution, and porang-xanthan gum mixture solution. The training, validation, and testing processes of the ANN and ANFIS models provided average correlation coefficients of 0.99955 and 0.99999, respectively. Comparison between the estimates of the ANN and ANFIS models and the measurement results of 27 porang and xanthan gum solutions provided accurate results with correlation coefficients of 0.99893 and 0.99996, respectively.

Abstract

Minyak jelantah dapat menimbulkan dampak buruk terhadap masalah pada kesehatan. Minyak jelantah juga menimbulkan masalah pada lingkungan. Di sisi lain minyak jelantah dapat diolah menjadi biodiesel. Sehingga pemanfaatan minyak jelantah dapat mengurangi penggunaan bahan bakar fosil di Indonesia yang terus meningkat dari tahun ke tahun. Di samping itu biodiesel tergolong bahan bakar yang terbarukan, oleh karena itu pasokan biodiesel sebagai bahan bakar dapat dilestarikan dan dikembangkan di masa yang akan datang. Berdasarkan permasalahan tersebut tujuan dari kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini adalah untuk memberikan penyuluhan dan pelatihan khususnya kepada Masyarakat di RW 3 dan RW 5 yang berlokasi di RW 13, Kelurahan Curug, Kecamatan Bogor Barat, Kota Madya Bogor. Kegiatan ini mendapat antusiasme yang tinggi dari masyarakat setempat. Berdasarkan evaluasi terhadap perbandingan penilaian pre test dan post test yang dikerjakan oleh peserta memperlihatkan kenaikan dari nilai rata-rata 37,5 menjadi 74,6 atau kenaikan rata-rata sebesar 98,9%. Selain peningkatan pemahaman dan keahlian mengenai pembuatan biodiesel, para peserta juga memotivasi kesadaran peserta untuk memelihara kesehatan dan menjaga kelestarian lingkungan.

Abstract

Penelitian ini menggunakan metode material balance dengan software IPM-MBAL untuk mengestimasi cadangan minyak di Lapangan Z secara akurat dan tepat. Penelitian bertujuan menghitung Original Oil in Place (OOIP), mengidentifikasi mekanisme penggerak reservoir, serta menentukan Remaining Reserves (RR), Estimated Ultimate Recovery (EUR), dan Recovery Factor (RF). Langkah ini penting mengingat meningkatnya kebutuhan energi dan menurunnya produksi dari sumur tua. Metode material balance dilakukan dengan menganalisis data tekanan reservoir, produksi kumulatif minyak dan air, serta parameter PVT dari 19 sumur aktif. Analisis menggunakan software IPM-MBAL melalui proses PVT matching untuk mendapatkan parameter fluida akurat dan history matching untuk mengestimasi OOIP serta mekanisme penggerak reservoir. Maka hasil penelitian menunjukkan nilai OOIP sebesar 47,9 MMSTB, dengan deviasi kurang dari 5% dibandingkan estimasi volumetrik sebelumnya sebesar 45,7 MMSTB. Mekanisme penggerak utama yang teridentifikasi adalah water drive, berdasarkan analisis energi reservoir dan metode Ganesh Thakur. Selain itu, Recovery Factor (RF) tercatat sebesar 42%, dan Remaining Reserves (RR) dihitung mencapai 1,38 MMSTB. Kesimpulannya yaitu metode material balance berbasis IPM-MBAL memberikan hasil estimasi yang akurat. Penelitian ini berkontribusi pada pengelolaan reservoir yang lebih efektif serta pengambilan keputusan strategis dalam pengembangan lapangan. Pemahaman yang lebih baik tentang cadangan minyak dan mekanisme penggerak reservoir mendukung efisiensi pengelolaan sumber daya hidrokarbon secara berkelanjutan.

Abstract

Perilaku reservoir meliputi kedalaman, besarnya kontribusi tiap-tiap feedzone, respons tekanan, dan suhu reservoir. Perilaku ini dapat digunakan untuk menentukan kelayakan lapangan untuk dikembangkan serta untuk memperkirakan kemampuan produksi sumur. Oleh karena itu, perilaku reservoir harus diperhatikan. Ada beberapa survei yang dilakukan di sumur panas bumi untuk mengetahui kondisi di dalam sumur dan kondisi reservoir.Untuk mengidentifikasi karakterisasi dalam sumur, alat survei PTS dimasukkan ke dalam sumur terlebih dahulu agar kecepatan fluida yang dikumpulkan mencerminkan kondisi sebenarnya di dalam sumur. Kalibrasi ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan slope. Pada tahap berikutnya, kecepatan laju alir massa dan fluida dapat dihitung. Gambar 3 menunjukkan diagram alir pengolahan data. hasil menunjukkan bahwa sumur memiliki empat zona feedzone berdasarkan respon pembacaan temperatur dan spinner. Feedzone sumur berada di kedalaman 2887 m, 2591 m, 2401 m, dan 2114 m, kontribusi feedzone 1 adalah 35.0%, kontribusi feedzone 2 13%, kontribus feedzone 3 25%, dan kontribusi feedzone 4 27.5%uhu air dalam sumur panas bumi ini berkisar dari 234 hingga 306 derajat Celcius, dan pada kedalaman 810 meter, suhunya menyinggung temperatur saturasi, yang menunjukkan bahwa fluida air akan berubah menjadi uap zona 1 memiliki kedalaman 2887 m, zona 2 memiliki kedalaman 2591 m, zona 3 memiliki kedalaman 2401 m, dan zona 4 memiliki kedalaman 2114 m.Kontribusi feedzone yang terbesar pada kedalaman 2887 sebesar 35 %.Kondisi sumur dalam keadaan yang memproduksi banyak air dan tidak terjadi kebocoran.Suhu fluida, yang berubah dari fluida air menjadi fluida uap, mencapai suhu saturasi 306 pada kedalaman 2114.

Sehingga pemanfaatan minyak jelantah dapat mengurangi limbah rumah tangga di Indonesia yang terus meningkat dari tahun ke tahun. Berdasarkan permasalahan tersebut tujuan dari kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini adalah untuk memberikan penyuluhan dan pelatihan khususnya kepada Masyarakat di RW 5 yang berlokasi di RW 13, Kelurahan Curug, Kecamatan Bogor Barat, Kota Madya Bogor. Kegiatan ini mendapat antusiasme yang tinggi dari masyarakat setempat. Berdasarkan evaluasi terhadap perbandingan penilaian pre-test dan post-test yang dikerjakan oleh peserta memperlihatkan kenaikan dari nilai rata-rata 35,0 menjadi 80,7 atau kenaikan rata-rata sebesar 130,6%. Selain peningkatan pemahaman dan keahlian mengenai pembuatan sabun, para peserta juga termotivasi menjadi masyarakat yang produktif di samping meningkatkan kepedulian untuk memelihara kelestarian lingkungan.

Abstract

Polymer injection is one of the EOR methods using chemical which is injected into the reservoir to increase oil recovery. The polymer functions to maintain the flow of fluids, especially water, so that it does not boil ahead of oil towards production wells. This is due to the ability of the polymer to increase the viscosity of the fluid in the reservoir. The polymers commonly used in the petroleum world are synthetic polymers and natural polymers which are often referred to as biopolymers. The type of biopolymer in this article is Xanthan Gum while the synthetic polymer used is Terrafloc. The characteristics of these two polymers are compared so that the performance that will be obtained in an effort to increase the recovery of petroleum can be estimated. From the results of the viscosity measurement, it turned out that the Xanthan Gum polymer had a much greater viscosity value than the Terrafloc polymer. Thus, the use of Xanthan Gum and Terrafloc polymers can be adjusted to the needs related to the type of crude oil in the reservoir to be injected so that the results of obtaining petroleum can be optimal.

Abstract

The main purpose of polymer injection is to reduce the water-oil mobility ratio. By increasing the viscosity of the injection fluid, polymer injection can increase sweep efficiency, thereby increasing oil recovery. This study aims to determine the viscosity and adsorption effects of adding porang to polyacrylamide polymers. The method used in this research is a laboratory experiment. The salinity of the formation water used in this study was 6000 ppm, 12000 ppm, and 18000 ppm, with variations in polymer concentrations of 2000 ppm, 4000 ppm, and 6000 ppm on the polymer without a mixture of porang and with a mixture of porang. The result of measuring the viscosity of polyacrylamide by adding porang at the salinity of 6000 ppm and polymer concentration of 6000 ppm was 21.82 cp. With the addition of porang to the polyacrylamide polymer at 2000 ppm concentration and 18000 ppm salinity, the adsorption value of the polymer decreased from 2.708 mg/gr to 1.748 mg/gr for 40 mesh sand and from 3.333 mg/g to 2.358 mg/g for 60 mesh sand.

Abstract

Aims: The aim of this research study is to show that the use of synthetic surfactant from bagasse is Environmentally Friendly Policies. Environmental management is an important step that needs to be taken on this immediate moment. Various human and industrial activities surely have affected the environment. Environmental management should include a number of groups from different varieties such as academics, policy makers, non-governmental organizations, corporations’ employees, government’s employees and related multidisciplinary groups. Methodology and Results: Environmental management will produce an ecological process and shapes industrial ecology which consists of four components namely; production, consumption, waste/by-products and raw materials. Bagasse as one of industrial solid wastes involved in environmental management will also produce ecological process. Bagasse which is produced from sugarcane processing can be further reprocessed into SLS surfactant that is useful for oil companies as injection fluid on reservoirs to improve oil recovery level. Conclusion, significance and impact of study: Environmental management can be applied between two industries that have mutualism symbiosis relationship through secondary production. Waste minimization can be achieved through bagasse processing. Sugarcane bagasse reprocessing into SLS surfactant is a sustainable program that supports sustainable material management effort. The action to reprocess natural waste into a valuable economical material can also alter human behavior into a more environmental friendly type of behavior.
