Abstract

Each region is competing in exploring every potential possessed by the region, one of which is local tax revenue, hotel taxes. One of them is in Tasikmalaya City. The hotel tax in the City of Tasikmalaya provides the second largest income after the restaurant tax for the City of Tasikmalaya, so the government is trying to explore the potential of the hotel tax through planning the potential for hotel taxes. The purpose of this study is to describe the planning process for the potential hotel tax in the City of Tasikmalaya in 2020. The research method used in this study is a mix method approach. The guidance theory used is planning with the five steps from Robbins and Coulter (2012). The data analysis technique used was quantitative data analysis techniques with the calculation of hotel tax potential, and qualitative data analysis techniques were through the stages of data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions. The results of this study indicate that planning the potential for hotel taxes at BAPENDA Tasikmalaya City uses the planning stages although in its implementation there are still obstacles in the planning process and extracting the potential for the hotel tax. Suggestions for this research are that there is a permanent system for storing data related to occupancy to review the hotel tax potential, make new innovations related to the Tasikmalaya City BAPENDA information system.

Abstract

Through web-based business applications, it helps start-up companies to reach their target markets more quickly and in a more organized manner, with a more efficient level of economic costs compared to using conventional consumer marketing methods which require higher levels of economic costs. However, more than 40% of SMEs and startup companies in Indonesia, both digital and non-digital based, experience financial failure and fail to maintain their business continuously, due to inefficient management of the financial aspects of the organization, which becomes an obstacle for business actors in planning and can also disrupt the level of continuity of the business. This is the background for the need for community service activities in order to improve the quality of financial inclusion, especially in terms of working capital management budgeting for mobile-based SMEs and startup companies. This community service activity was formed to expand knowledge regarding effective and efficient working capital management budgeting, where it is hoped that through this program, mobile-based SMEs and startup business actors will have the knowledge to know the financial strength of their business and can be used as a consideration in decisions and make the business run healthier in the future.

Abstract

SMK Karsa Mulya is a private SMK in Palangka Raya that has the highest enrolment-to-learner ratio among other SMKs in the region, according to Dapodik data. In addition, this SMK also accommodates the largest number of learners, reflecting the excellent utilisation of facilities and infrastructure in supporting its enrolment capacity. Despite the limited facilities and infrastructure, SMK Karsa Mulya is still able to attract a large number of junior high school graduates. The learning strategy and cooperation with Iduka (Industry and the World of Work) that is implemented can be an example of good practice for other schools, regardless of the level of completeness of facilities and infrastructure owned. The purpose of the research is to find out the school management from both the Principal and the teachers so that junior high school graduates are still interested in entering SMK Karsa Mulya. The research method used is qualitative. To obtain information and data, interviews were conducted with the principal, teachers, and students of SMA Karsa Mulya. The results showed that the maximum utilisation of existing facilities and infrastructure, cooperation, communication, and maintaining trust with Iduka to utilise the equipment they have, good school management, the seriousness of the teachers to teach and provide good character education, the application of rules to create discipline, good handling of student conflicts, and good communication with students and parents are factors that make SMK Karsa Mulya continue to get students continuously and increase from year to year. This shows that the limited facilities and infrastructure owned by a school are not a significant barrier in getting a large number of students.

Abstract

The increase in borderless digital-based business competition shows how language education is impacted by neoliberalism in this global era. We explore how linguistic technopreneurship (LT) roles is increasingly constructed as a form of linguistic entrepreneurship to exploit language-related resources to enhance one's socioeconomic value strategically. This research aims to critically examine the influence of LT toward business success digitalization for Small Medium Enterprises in West Java  and it’s implication for Language Education. The research also focusing on the creation of novelty, namely linguistic technopreneurship (LT), which is a refinement of entrepreneurial linguistics (EL). LT is expected to be able to explain how linguistic entrepreneurship can be indexed from two different aspects, namely how to package language education and digital business success. We then discuss under what conditions the notion of linguistic technopreneurship can be applied to digital platform-based business settings and what kind of contradictions this gives rise to. The method used is quantitative, and it involves carrying out SEM analysis. A non-probability sampling technique was used to obtain a minimum of 250 Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises and Industry owners who run their businesses through digital platforms in West Java province, which is the province with the most significant number of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises and Industries in Indonesia. The research results show that LT significantly influences the success of business success and impact the language education practice. It can be concluded that language education is an added value for a person and influences socioeconomic success.

Abstract

At the time of nisab, every Muslim is required to pay zakat, which is one of their religious duties. It may be seen as a transgression of Islamic principles to fail to pay zakat. Islam, property ownership, nisab and haul fulfillment, and zakat payment capability are the pillars and criteria of zakat. According to the Quran, there are eight distinct classes that are eligible to receive zakat. The author used a literature review approach to gather references on zakat, its concepts, its distribution, its types, and difficulties in Indonesia, as well as potential remedies to those concerns. More extensive zakat education and outreach, improved zakat institution transparency and accountability, tech-enabled zakat process, party collaboration, and new, sustainable zakat programmes to address social issues are all part of Indonesia's zakat selection.
