Abstract

Rancabolang Village, Gedebage Subdistrict, Bandung City is one of the sub-districts which in several RWs has carried out the cultivation of TOGA plants based on urban farming. However, in reality, the program has not run optimally because it has not been able to absorb all members to be able to play an active role. This study aims to determine the description of the implementation of the TOGA plant cultivation activity based on urban farming and the obstacles experienced by the community during its implementation. The data and information obtained is analyzed using descriptive statistics. The results showed that TOGA cultivation activities in Rancabolang Village have not been able to get to the production stage to be used economically. This is because most of the harvest is only used by PKK group members and harvesting activities are not carried out routinely when it reaches harvest time. There are 4 aspects of the constraints discussed in this study. In terms of the constraints on TOGA cultivation, limited land is the main obstacle and another obstacle is the need for seeds. In the aspect of harvest constraints, unscheduled and irregular harvesting processes are the main obstacles. On the marketing aspect, the small amount of production is the main obstacle. In the organizational aspect, member participation is the main obstacle and another obstacle is the routine meeting activities to discuss TOGA cultivation.

Abstract

Mango fruit is one of the seasonal fruit groups that have the potential to be processed into processed products. The processing process is one of solution when the selling price of fruit is low during the harvest season and a lot of the harvest is wasted because it is stored too long. Raw materials that have run into a change in value can be estimated how much their value is. So the purpose of this study is to describe the background of the formation of the processed mango fruit strips from Frutivez and to analyze the added value of these products. The research design used is to use a quantitative design of case studies with the interview method. Data analysis was carried out by using the added value analysis of the Hayami method. The results showed that in one production process the added value obtained by the product was IDR 5,000 / kg with a ratio of 11%, where every IDR 100 the value of the mango fruit strips product contained an added value of IDR 11.

Abstract

Greged District, Cirebon Regency and Japara District, Kuningan Regency are included in the mango production centers in West Java. Both areas have their respective potentials and weaknesses in terms of farmers, farming and market access characteristics. The purpose of this study was to compare the conditions of farmers, farming and market access of mangoes in Greged and Japara Districts. The research method uses quantitative research methods using survey methods. The sample of farmers was determined using simple random sampling technique. There were 130 samples of mango farmers for each population. The analytical tools used in this study are Descriptive Analysis of Frequency Distribution, Two Samples T Test and Mann-Whitney U Test. The results of this study indicate that the condition of farmers and mango farming in Greged District is significantly different from Japara District in all variables analyzed, namely gender, age, main occupation, farm income, number of trees owned. Meanwhile, for market access, there are 2 significantly different variables, namely the distance to the market and the travel time to the market.

Abstract

One of the horticultural products widely consumed by the public is guava fruit. West Java is a province with the second largest number of red getas guava varieties produced in Indonesia. The purpose of this study is to know the costs of production, revenue, income, and ratio of revenue (R) and cost (C) that happened on red getas guava varieties in Desa Panyingkiran, Kecamatan Panyingkiran, Kabupaten Majalengka. This research was conducted in Desa Panyingkiran, Kecamatan Panyingkiran, Kabupaten Majalengka which is the center of production of red getas guava varieties in West Java. The design of this research is qualitative survey method. The sample of this research is 3 SOP farmers obtained through census and 50 Non SOP farmers obtained through the Slovin formula with a simple random method. The strata used in this study were based on the area of red getas guava varieties. The results showed that: (1) The results showed the farmer with the highest cash cost income is obtained by SOP farmer who use narrow land area it is Rp 209.805.922/Ha/year and Non SOP Farmer with medium land area it is Rp 100.858.775/Ha/year. While, the  farmers with the highest total cost income is obtained by SOP farmers who use large land area it is Rp 165.429.758/Ha/year and Non SOP Farmers with medium land area it is Rp 64.39.333/Ha/year, and (2) The highest R/C of cash cost farmer is obtained by SOP farmer with large land area (R/C=17,1) and on Non SOP farmer with medium land area (R/C=4,6). While, the highest R/C of total cost farmer is obtained by SOP farmer with large land area (R/C=9,9) and on Non SOP farmer with medium land area (R/C=2,0).

Abstract

PT Lotte Mart Shopping Indonesia Bandung, as one of the modern retailers in Bandung, has a number of products with private label, including sugar products. This study aims to analyze the relationship between consumer characteristics and consumer preferences for "private label" of sugar products at modern retailers Lotte Mart Shopping Indonesia Bandung. There were 42 research respondents who were private label consumers of sugar products at Lotte Mart who were determined using systematic random sampling technique. The data analysis tool used is cross tabulation. The results of the consumer preference research show that the most ideal size attribute according to the respondents is a sugar size of 1 kg, the private label sugar packaging design has been said to be attractive for the Choice L brand, the clarity of the information is still unclear because the information about the product is not shown clearly. so you have to really pay attention to the packaging of these products. The price attribute and the ease of obtaining sugar products are the main factors for consumers buying sugar products with this private label. Consumers who have a good preference for private label sugar are generally female, aged 36-50 years, have high school education, work as housewives with an income of Rp. 2,000,000-Rp. 4,000,000 per month.

Abstract

Permintaan konsumen terhadap buah, khususnya mangga semakin besar, seiring dengan meningkatnya pendapatan dan kesadaran konsumen akan pentingnya mengkonsumsi buah sebagai salah satu penjaga kesehatan. Konsumen sekarang ini menghendaki mangga selalu tersedia di pasar disertai dengan kualitas yang terjaga prima. Untuk memenuhi tuntutan konsumen tersebut, petani tidak bisa berperilaku seadanya dalam menangani mangga, tetapi perlu lebih bersikap professional terutama dalam usahatani dan pemasaran mangganya. Berdasarkan hal tersebut, tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskipsikan dan mengkaji dampak dari risiko produksi dan pemasaran terhadap pendapatan petani mangga serta mengidentifikasi kelompok mana yang paling berisiko. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan metode survey. Petani mangga di Kabupaten Cirebon dan Majalengka diambil sebanyak 240 orang dengan menggunakan teknik Multi Stage Cluster Random Sampling. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa faktor-faktor risiko produksi dan risiko pemasaran seperti risiko jumlah pohon, risiko biaya pupuk kandang, risiko biaya pestisida dan risiko harga jual mangga berpengaruh signifikan terhadap pendapatan petani. Sementara itu, Terdapat perbedaan perilaku petani dalam produksi dan pemasaran mangganya jika petani dibagi kedalam tiga kelompok, berdasarkan jumlah pohon yang dikuasai, yaitu petani yang jumlah pohonnya terbatas, cukup dan banyak. Diantaranya perbedaan tersebut adalah dalam hal rata-rata harga jual mangga per kilogram. Fakta selanjutnya, petani yang jumlah pohonnya terbatas dibanding dengan petani dari kelompok lainnya, kurang berani mengambil risiko produksi, tetapi mereka lebih berani mengambil risiko pemasaran.

Abstract

The selection of the market that partners with farmers is based on the ability of farmers to attract the attention of buyers. But in reality, most mango farmers have a high dependency to sell their harvest to middlemen. This study aims to analyze internal and external factors related to market selection for mango farmers. This research is a quantitative study conducted in Sedong District, Cirebon Regency, West Java. The research method uses the survey method. The research sample was taken using a simple random sampling technique such that a sample size of 50 people was obtained. The data analysis tool used is crosstabulation analysis. The results showed that internal factors that have a directly proportional relationship to market selection are the level of education, number of trees, ownership of transportation, and activeness in farmer groups, while internal factors that have an inverse relationship with market selection are age and farming experience. The eexternal factors that have a directly proportional relationship to market selection are distance to market, travel time to market, and government contribution. While internal factors such as level of trust, access to information, and activeness in participating in counseling, and external factors such as conducting counseling have no relationship with market selection.

Abstract

Tingginya tingkat konsumsi kopi yang ada di Indonesia membuat peluang bagi banyak pelaku usaha kedai kopi untuk mengembangkan usahanya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat bagaimana sikap dan perilaku konsumen terhadap pembelian kopi yang mereka lakukan di Armor Kopi Garden, Bandung. Metode analisis data yang digunakan adalah theory of reasoned action dari Fishbein yang terdiri dari sikap dan perilaku konsumen dengan sampel sebanyak 95 orang. Atribut yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah rasa, variasi menu, desain produk, layanan pelengkap, harga, dan promosi. Hasil analisis menunjukan bahwa konsumen yang datang rata-rata adalah laki-laki berstatus mahasiswa/i. Alasan mereka datang ke kedai kopi yang paling dominan adalah karena suasana yang nyaman (44%), kemudian keinginan untuk sekedar mencoba (22%) lalu karena faktor rasanya yang khas (10%) dan berbagai alasan lainnya (22%). Sikap konsumen terhadap pembelian produk kopi secara keseluruhan menunjukan hasil yang baik. Sikap yang dianggap paling baik ada pada atribut desain produk dan yang dianggap paling tidak baik ada pada atribut promosi. Hasil analisis perilaku konsumen di Armor Kopi Garden berdasarkan angka skor rata-rata menunjukan bahwa yang berperan paling dominan dalam membuat keputusan konsumen adalah teman dan media sedangkan skor yang terendah ada pada keluarga. Potensi yang dimiliki antara lain produk yang beragam, fasilitas yang lengkap, serta barista yang handal. Kedala yang dimiliki dalam menjalankan usaha adalah adalah adanya competitor yaitu Armor Kopi Tahura yang menyebabkan pengunjung terbagi-bagi.

Abstract

Mango farmers in Sindang Kasih Subdistrict have been in partnership with UD Wulan Jaya for quite a long time so that there should have been an impact obtained by farmers, especially related to their farming income. This study aims to analyze the relationship between the farmers' income of mango farmers who do mango partnerships with the characteristics of farmers and farmers' perceptions about aspects of the partnership. This research uses a quantitative research design by conducting a survey. The sample withdrawal technique used is a simple random sampling technique such that it is obtained 38 farmer respondents in partnership with UD Wulan Jaya. The data analysis technique used is crosstabulation analysis. The results found that the characteristics of farmers who tend to be relate to the farmer income are age, farming experience, land area and productivity per tree. Meanwhile, the aspect of partnership tends to relate to the income of mango farmers are the completeness of planning, dependence on price determination, increase in income, price guarantee, quality of production results, and mastery of technology.

Abstract

Recognizing the varied characteristics of consumers in consuming products, producers better understand the characteristics of their consumers in advance from various aspects in order to get maximum profit. Especially with the Covid-19 pandemic, it is expected to affect changes in many aspects. The purpose of this study is to identify how the characteristics of consumers of processed mango products are based on 4 aspects, namely geographic, demographic, psychographic and consumer behavior before and during the covid-19 pandemic. The research design used is a quantitative design with data analysis techniques used are descriptive analysis, crosstabulation analysis. This research was conducted at the Faculty of Agricultural Industrial Technology, University of Padjadjaran with a sample determined using the simple random sampling method of 120 people. The results showed: (1) The characteristics of consumers before the covid-19 pandemic were dominated by female sex with the age of 20 years, the average pocket money earned was Rp. 500,001 – 2,500,000 and the average expenditure was Rp. 0 – 1,000. .000, has a residence in West Java and the type of processed product that is most often consumed is juice with a consumption rate of 1x per month; (2) During the covid-19 pandemic, the level of consumption of processed mango products that have a health effect has increased, while the consumption of processed mango products that are snacks will decrease because the pocket money that student get is reduced. Then the location for purchasing processed mango products will shift from modern retail to online stores.
