Abstract

The data are obtained from primary data and secondary data. Primary data collection methods obtained from interviews, observations and main documents. Meanwhile, secondary data comes from interviews, library data, books and other literature as a complement to primary data. In this study, the data collection techniques used were: observation, interview and documentation. While the data analysis method uses descriptive analysis. The findings of the study indicate that character education through extracurricular karate activities in students of SMPN 2 Kupang City by examining each movement and exemplary method. This implementation has a positive impact on students. Whether in terms of honesty, responsibility, discipline, religion, independence, tolerance, hard work spirit, curiosity, environmental care, friendly, democratic, creative, peace-loving. The implementation of character education in extracurricular activities will not be carried out well, of course there are several supporting factors, one of which is a coach who is able to insert material character values ​​contained in every movement. The conclusion from the results of the data analysis is that the examination of research results and discussion can be concluded that: Character Education through Extracurricular Karate Activities in Students of SMPN 2 Kupang City is in the good category.

Abstract

This research is to describe the strategy of the teacher in behavior commitment teaching by students X vocational high school (SMK) Hasael puru on physical education learning process. There is the aim of study is to explain the strategy of teacher as the eduator on behavior commitment teaching by students physical sport education learning process. The method that used in this research is qualitative method, the technique which is used to collected the data is triangulation technique there are: documentation, interview,observation.the steps of analysing data are: reduction data, display data and verification. The triangulation data and the triangulation technique are used to test the validity of the data. The result of the study express about 6 findings there are : 1. Behavior commitment teaching, 2. The agreement and the aim of behavior commitment teaching, 3. Physical sport education learning process is to form the behavior commitment, 4. The strategy of behavior commitment teaching, 5. The manner to develop the behavior of commitment, 6. What kind of the characteric that be supposed from behavior commitment teaching

Abstract

Umumnya masyarakat beranggapan bahwa IQ merupakan suatu kecerdasan yang paling penting dan selalu menjadi tolak ukur dalam kecerdasan seorang individu dalam meraih keberhasilan pembelajaran. Namun kecerdasan intelektual (IQ) bukanlah satu-satunya faktor yang menentukan hasil belajar mahasiswa, tetapi terdapat faktor lain yang bahkan paling dominan menentukan keberhasilan yaitu kecerdasan emosional (EQ). Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menilai kecerdasan emosional mahasiswa. Responden yang terlibat adalah mahasiwa PJKR semester VI tahun akademik 2017/2018 yang berjumlah 62 orang. Data dikumpulkan menggunakan TEIQue-ASF (Trait Emotional Intelligence Questionnare-Adoloscence Short Form) yang dikembangkan oleh Petrides, Sangereau, Furnham, dan Frederikson pada tahun 2006. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan responden yang memiliki tingkat kecerdasan emosional yang sangat baik berjumlah 3 orang (4,8%), baik berjumlah 58 orang (93,3%),cukup berjumlah 1 orang (1,6%). Sedangkan tidak ada responden yang memiliki kecerdasan emosional pada golongan kurang dan buruk (0%). Dengan demikian kecerdasan emosional mahasiswa tergolong baik.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Based on a statement by the science class VIIA middle school teacher n 6 middle school Balfai mussels, on classification material teachers have not applied a devoted modal of learning only monoton pafa teacher. This invoves having students become passive ( recording and being less creative in optimizing all of the skills in them for the laerning process that results in low learning. Thestudent”s ability to remember, understand, apply, analyze,edit anf produce anything from the materis is stiil less becausw students are srill glaued to books and talks and lack of practices given by the teacher. Unquote student VIIA class of this materieal from a total of 25 students is only 10 pople who meet the minumum criteia for ketchness. One attempt to address the promblem is to implement a learning model in order to improve the results of the student cocktail cycle . The kind of research thats structured in research is a class action study, the instrument used i our research is obserform and test, data analysis used for descriptions and percents. Abstract

When learning process occurs, the educators expect students’ fully participation.However, learners experience various obstacles in their participation efforts, suchas feelings of anxiety during presentations and discussions. This study aims toinvestigate students’ anxiety predictors when doing communication during thedynamic learning. There are 2 males and 2 female participants (4 participants)involved. Their anxiety problems in communication will be explored usingqualitative approach. In order to obtain data on factors triggering participants’anxiety, researchers used participation-observation techniques on each ofparticipant’s activity and behavior in the classroom and conducted in-depthinterviews to reveal what experiences contributing to participants’ anxiety. Theresults found that factors that cause the participants to feel anxious whencommunicating are: 1) Limited mastery of the material, 2) Ignoring the activity ofself expression in the learning, 3) Lack of confidence, 4) Being trapped intraumatic sense, and 5) Crisis of appreciation toward learning effort from the peers.Keywords: [Anxiety; communicating; learning readiness]

Abstract

The Beginner Lecturer Research Grant (PDP) is an opportunity for non-functional and functional lecturer to practice their writing, researching, and research skills and abilities. The evaluation results found that only 16.6% of internal study program lecturers had ever passed the PDP grant, so it was necessary to provide training and assistance to lecturers so that their proposals could be funded through the PDP scheme. The methods used are sharing-session, distributing strategy tips for preparing the PDP), training (participants compose a PDP proposal according to the template), clinic (participants are assisted to correct the results of their proposal preparation directly), and evaluation (participants' work is evaluated using instruments). The participants were 15 people, including eight permanent lecturers (53.3%) from the internal study program and seven lecturers (46.6%) from the external study program. As a result, the participants' knowledge and understanding increased, and the lecturers' skills in preparing proposals also improved. Training and assistance in preparing proposals must be a severe concern of fostering a culture of writing and researching on campus to compete with critical ideas through national schemes prepared by the government, private sector, and others.

Abstract

Preparing a personal statement for the LPDP scholarship is practical, but it has proven to be one factor that makes numerous applicants drop out during the first stage of selection. This polemic is motivated by applicants who have not been critical and credible in constructing a statement according to the sponsor's criteria. Applicants often prepare personal statements according to their respective “ambitions”. Whereas every scholarship competition, sponsors need applicants who can answer the sponsor’s agenda, both short-term, medium-term, and long-term. To bridge the polemic, preparing a personal statement based on the seminar, training, clinical, and evaluation methods for the participants was tricked out. There were eight participants involved, including teachers (50%), lecturers (12,5%), education staff (12,5%), and final semester students (25%). The mentoring results succeeded in helping participants have an LPDP scholarship account (100%), and the average assessment of the draft personal statement of the participants met the criteria for the trial activity (3,04). Despite having a good personal statement structure, participants conducted longitudinal peer reviews and improvements to several indicators that had low average values. Including less-than-delightful experiences (2,88), what was the last thing you taught yourself? (3), as well as mention and explain 1 (one) thing that distinguishes you from other participants (2,75).

Abstract

This study aims to examine the relationship between self-esteem and learning responsibility and group learning commitment of physical education students. We used a quantitative approach, with a correlation design. During the research, there were 88 physical education students from semester VI involved. In collecting the data, we used the State Self-Esteem Scale from Heatherton and Polivy (1991), the Personal Responsibility Questionnaire from Mergler (2007), and the Organization Commitment Scale from Allen and Meyer (1990). The research data were analyzed descriptively and used Pearson correlation with the assistance of SPSS. The descriptive test revealed that self-esteem is quite good (67%), responsibility for learning is relatively good (54.6%), and students’ group learning commitment is quite good (65.9%). Whereas, the Pearson test indicated that there is a positive and significant relationship between self-esteem and learning responsibilities (0.468) and the students’ group learning commitment (0.282). This study emphasizes that lecturers and peers need to support, maintain, and develop positive self-esteem through supportive feedback to encourage students’ learning behavior, such as being responsible and committed to group learning in completing various learning tasks.

Abstract

Lesson plan haruslah mengejewantahkan pengalaman belajar yang memaksimalkan prakarsa dan potensi siswa, baik dari aspek kognitif, sikap, maupun psikomotor (berbasis HOTS). Polemiknya, guru masih kesulitan ketika menyusun lesson plan HOTS seperti Project–Based Learning, Problem–Based Learning dan Scitific Learning sehingga pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk melatih guru menyusun lesson plan yang berbasis HOTS. Metode yang digunakan ialah pendekatan ilmiah (mengamati pemaparan materi dan telaah lesson plan, menanya kesenjangan indikator pernyusunan lesson plan HOTS, mencoba menyusun lesson plan HOTS, mengasosiasi atau menalar rumusan lesson plan HOTS dengan pengembangan potensi siswa berkualitas tinggi, dan mengomunikasi atau mempresentasikan serta mendiskusikan produk lesson plan). Peserta pelatihan merupakan guru GMIT di Klasis Mollo Timur yang berjumlah 14 orang. Pengabdian ini berhasil meningkatkan pengetahuan peserta tentang penyusun lesson plan serta peserta berhasil memproduksi lesson plan yang mengakomodasi indikator HOTS dengan baik. Kendati demikian, kendala yang paling signifikan saat peserta menyusun lesson plan HOTS ialah merumuskan penilaian HOTS siswa. Peserta harus selalu dan aktif meng–upgrade kompetensinya melalui berbagai platform, seperti seminar, pelatihan, klinik, dan sebagainya.

Abstract

The study program has created a template for a thesis preparation to facilitate and assist students in compiling their thesis. The problem is that the study program still encounters numerous proposal and thesis documents that do not match the template distributed. Therefore, it is necessary to conduct training for students in compiling their thesis following the template. The methods used to carry out this training were lectures, exercises, mentoring, simulations, and evaluations. The material provided included the preparation of a thesis following the physical education study program template, tips on finding credible references for the final project, and technically making citations and compiling the APA model reference by involving 52 students who are preparing their final project, both proposals and theses (only 25 participants whose thesis documents were evaluated). The result showed that students' knowledge and skills in compiling their thesis following the template was improved. Although successful in giving an impact, study programs, course lecturers, supervisors, and examiners need to simultaneously pay attention to the thesis writing as the final project following the template in order to accelerate students to complete their studies.
