Abstract

Electricity is major requirement in today's society. As an important source of energy for household, industrial even government. The increasing demand of electricity itself caused waste of energy. The energy use can be monitored by Kwh meter, to determine how much elecrity that has been used in room is not yet possible. Electricity monitoring usage system in the room using NodeMcu and MQTT (Message Queueing Telemetry Transport) would be a right solution. NodeMcu microcontroller as MQTT client publisher is using C++ program and using PubSubClient library. Then we perform a test to measure system performance of each node for monitoring electricty used in the room. There is a different value of amphere when we conduct the test that is 0-03 ampere when there is no electronic devices activity and 0.17 ampere when there is an activity of electronic device. It is possible to send the data using mqtt and the results can be displayed in grapchical form. At each node 1, 2, and 3 the diffrence is 1.50463 - 6.92544 watt-hour when the hair conditioner at level 1, iron and laptop is on, 1.4475-4.3209 watt-hour when the hair dryer at level 2, iron, and laptop is on and 0.094254-2.981733 watt-hour when all of the electronic devices is off.

Abstract

Robot arm or commonly known as Robot Manipulator is one types of robot that mostly used by the industrial society. Robot arm is generally controlled by a joystick and button. The inventor wanted to design a robot arm control system using sensors accelerometer combined with microcontroller Arduino UNO. Robot manipulator will be controlled by a human hand and arm so that the robot can follow the movements of the hand and arm. Microcontroller hardware implementation is suitable with the design in the microcontroller which uses 2 modules MPU6050 accelerometer sensor, an Arduino Nano, also cable as a medium for data transmission. This microcontroller as the data receiver from the accelerometer sensor 1 and 2 which then being processed and produced by output that will end on the robot manipulator. Test placing of sensor aims to determine the value of each sensor position on the arm and to know the right position to put the accelerometer sensor. In this test the result value can change, when the sensor is placed on the arm at a distance of 10cm from shoulder is 151⁰-152⁰, 18cm from shoulder 157⁰-158⁰. This is because the accelerometer sensor mpu6050 has high sensitivity when mounted on a moving object, the sensor values can change quickly even though the object is only moving little bit

Abstract

The Building is one of the most important facilities and infrastructure in human life. Therefore, when a building is damaged whether it is caused by a natural disaster that can not be predicted or the age of the building itself will have a profound effect on human life. To overcome this problem is by applying wireless sensor network to monitoring the vibration response of building a structure using MMA7361 accelerometer sensor, Arduino Uno microcontroller, nRF24L01 transceiver module, Personal Computer (PC) and Delphi 2010 monitoring application. So it can be easier, compact and low power, but can collect all the information in the form of vibration acceleration data obtained from each client node sent to the node server periodically and displayed graphically as well as the value of vibration acceleration data on the Personal Computer (PC) using Delphi 2010 monitoring applications, without the user must monitor the intended object directly. As a result, each node client is able to transmit vibration acceleration data obtained from several types of wooden, plywood, and concrete structure structures to the server nodes. Thus, the data obtained from the type of wooden structure has an average of vibration acceleration sampling data of 6,1 m/s2. The plywood building structure has an average value of vibration acceleration sampling data of 116 m/s2. Meanwhile, the concrete structure has an average of vibration acceleration sampling data of 0 m/s2. All tested in one hit test.

Abstract

Imbalances between patient and medical personnel, especially nurses on duty 24 hours monitoring the condition of inpatients result in negligence. For example in terms of monitoring the condition of intravenous fluids. Based on these case examples, a system that is able to reduce the level of negligence and help the performance of medical personnel to improve hospital services. So to overcome this, a system designed to monitor intravenous fluids centrally using digital image processing. Some digital image processing methods used are thresholding to separate object image with the background, morphology to improve threshold image results by using dilation and erosion operation, moment invariant to describe characteristic shape and infusion fluid condition seen from a number of area and position. By using Raspberry Pi as a processing unit and sending information the infusion fluid condition is controlled centrally on the local network using TCP / IP socket as the communication medium to the server. The results of this study indicate that the system can detect infusion fluid conditions using several methods of processing digital images and send detection results to the server.

Abstract

Infant nutritional status is very important to be known by the parents, because there are still many malnutrition cases of children under five in Indonesia that is unsolved. It considered because malnutrition not only by physical condition that affect. Based on these problems, a system of infant nutrition status have been made using K-Nearest Neighbor method based on embedded system using gender, age and body weight parameters of infant. The value of K that would be applied to the method needs to be tested to get the best value of K for the system. For readings body weight using a HX711 circuit module, a load cell sensor, connected to NodeMCU ESP8266 in order to send the data wirelessly to a computer / PC as a classifier parameter. The input are gender and age as requiredment for classification, if all three parameters are met the nutritional status can be displayed on web and saved in database as the archieve. From the analysis that has conducted, it can be concluded that the functional testing on the weight sensor has 97,23% accuracy, while the functional testing of basis data storage has 100% conformity. K value has the highest percentage of accuracy when K = 5 and k = 6 with 62.50%. While overall testing of the baby's nutritional status classification system yielded 97,14% accuracy.

Abstract

LPG is an alternative fuel that people use for daily purposes, in addition, LPG has cheaper prices and is also easier to use. However, LPG is flammable and has heavier characteristics that are bigger than air, making it difficult to detect the gas in case of leakage. Based on the problem, a system capable of detecting leakage of LPG gas and its leakage level based on gas content and temperature on LPG. In this research there are 2 sensors that are gas module MQ-6 and LM35 temperature sensor connected with arduino uno microcontroller and can be used as a feature to classify gas condition using fuzzy sugeno method. The output of the system is displayed using the LCD and marked with a buzzer sound. In arduino uno embedded RTOS that served as scheduling task on the system. The RTOS used is already provided in the Arduino Uno library ie FreeRTOS. From the test results, the system can determine the various conditions on the gas leak with accuracy reaches 100%. Scheduling tasks performed in accordance with the priorities made. The average system execution time using RTOS is 1.8976 ms, while the system without RTOS is 1,7304 ms. System with RTOS takes longer time, because in system there is take-and-give semaphore function which need execution time for ± 0,05 ms.

Abstract

The use of cooking oil repeatedly and beyond the normal limits (waste cooking oil) can cause variety of dangerous diseases to human health such as heart failure, high risk of diabetes, coronary heart disease, and others. However, the use of waste cooking oil is still high today. This is shown from the results of research in Makassar which is poor and rich people use the same cooking oil for frying as much as 61.2 percent use it twice, 19.6 percent use it three times, and 5.4 percent use it as four time. Based on the problem, it is necessary to have an automation system for classifying the frequency of the using cooking oil, so it can be used for the frequency classification of the use of cooking oil that has been used several times (waste cooking oil) accurately. In this study, the parameters used are the color and turbidity level of cooking oil. Determination of cooking oil classification is based on color and turbidity level of oil obtained from TCS3200 color sensor readings and sensor photodiode by Arduino Uno microcontroller by using Bayes methods. This method is chosen because it is one of the classification method that is quite simple, easy to understand, and has high computing speed. From the results of the tests performed, it is known the percentage error reading TCS3200 color sensor is 1.9% and photodiode sensor can work well. So, if the cooking oil is more turbid, the value of the photodiode sensor is smaller. Furthermore, the test system using Bayes methods with the amount of training data is 65 data and test data is 35 data obtained an accuracy of 71.42% with a system of computing time on average over 13.144 seconds.

Abstract

A baby is a stage of human development from 0-12 months where brain development and physical development are the main focus interest to see the baby growth. Nutrition status is one of the essential components that is always under supervision for baby growht. Baby's nutrition system is not only measured in terms of whether they are good or bad nutrition, but also being measurd through baby's height and baby's weight. Based on these problems, needed research on the classification system to detecting nutrition of baby and baby's parents can monitor the development nutrition from their baby. Furthermore, there are other parameters such as gender and age that serve as contributing factor when measuring baby's nutrition, A censor with microcontroller has already been developed to provide specific number of the baby's gender and age which then will be input to a system using 4x4 keypad. On the other hand, ultrasonic censor and load cell are used as a measurement system for baby's height and weight. Then all these data will be input and compared to arduino uno classification that will determine the baby's nutrition. The method use for this classification is called Naive Bayes. All the development stages will be put on 16x2 LCD to provide an assessment and analysis regarding the accuracy of this system. Based on the reading the censor provides on 10 objects, the heihgt (lenght) censor has 98.28% accuracy and weight with 71.02% accuracy. The classification test with 30 data that is picked randomly has 100% accuracy for the weight and height. Then average of time classification test are 0.026 second and 0.032 second respectively. The test and analysis of the overall system has 96.66% for ist accuracy for the height and 60% accuracy for the weight system.

Abstract

Wheelchair was initially very helpful for users with leg defects, But there are problems for users who have more flaws to move their hands so some users are still difficult to use the wheelchair. Based on these problems, Researchers used head movement as an embedded system-based controller as wheelchair control. System will use an MPU6050 sensor which will be placed on the user's forehead and 2 pieces of NodeMCU where 1 NodeMCU on the controller is used as client and 1 NodeMCU in the wheelchair as server. Based on the implementation, by using the complementary the problem of reading angle values caused by noise can be solved so that the output becomes more stable and accurate. From the tests that have been done on 5 subjects, it is known that the initial determination of sensor readings is not 0° but has a range of X-axis angle values ​​of -11.61° to -20.70° with an average of -14.86°. Based on the head movement performed on the test, the average value on the X-axis is 30.24° when it is downward and -40.46 ° when upward. As for the Y-axis obtained and average value of -27.97° when tilt to the left and 26.83° when tilt to right. For data transmission, the system has 100% success rate with average response time about 52 ms.

Abstract

In music, there are many various problems. One of them in the guitar instrument. If the sound quality of the strings in the guitar instrument is not calibrated properly, then the sound produced will not sound beautiful. There are 423 chords in the music. There is no practical way to understand a chord other than reading a chord book. When writing a song, naming a chord is necessary, so that when the song will be played by others musician, the musician can understand the existing chord. From these needs arise problems such as how to design a system that can calibrate the tone and detection a chord on a musical instrument. In this study, the system of calibrating the tone and detection a chord was made for the guitar instrument. System design process and user interface is done by using Labview programming. Because inputs are received in the form of acoustic signal, it is necessary to apply fast fourier transform algorithms in signal acoustic filtering. System testing is performed to determine the system's functionality in detecting tones, the time required to acquire data until the tone appears, the accuracy of the tone calibration and the chord detector. Performance generated by the system in the detection tone detection test, tone calibration test, chord detection test, the percentage of success is 100%. In the data acquisition process until the average tone appears the time required is 0.622933 seconds.
