Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengidentifikasi sistem perikanan tuna long line di Pelabuhan Perikanan Samudera (PPS) Cilacap. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada 19 Agustus -17 September 2009 di PPS Cilacap, Kabupaten Cilacap, Jawa Tengah. Analisis yang digunakan adalah analisis sistem. Berdasarkan analisis kebutuhan, pelaku yang terlibat adalah nelayan, perusahaan perikanan, pedagang, PPS Cilacap dan Dinas Perikanan. Formulasi permasalahannya adalah keterbatasan modal pemerintah, masih sedikitnya perusahaan perikanan tuna, dan sarana serta prasarana yang tersedia belum memadai. Hasil analisis diagam lingkar sebab akibat dan diagram input output mengidentifikasi bahwa sistem perikanan tuna bergantung pada fungsionalisasi usaha perikanan tuna, pelabuhan perikanan, aksesibilitas lokasi, kelembagaan dan peraturan/kebijakan. Untuk itu, sistem perikanan tuna long line di PPS Cilacap lebih baik diarahkan pada penambahan unit industri pengolahan perikanan tuna bukan pada penambahan unit penangkapan tuna long line, penguatan kelembagaan, peningkatan sarana dan prasarana pelabuhan perikanan serta aksesibilitasnya seperti sarana transportasi dan sarana cold storage. Hasil penelitian ini menjadi dasar dalam membuat pemodelan sistem perikanan tuna longline bagi pengelolaan dan pengusahaan sumber daya tuna secara berkelanjutan di PPS Cilacap.

Abstract

The mangrove forests is the most important area that must be maintained. Mangrove forests can be covered by vegetation such as Avicennia , palm, and the other that has fundamental in preserving the fishery resources. Fishery resources are classified as a renewable but limited by natural factors and non-natural factors. This study was aimed to analyze species composition, community structure and fish size composition and measure estuary parameters at Musi river. This study was conducted on December 2015 at the estury of Musi river ini Banyuasin, South Sumatera. Survey method was used in this study by measuring the length and weight of the fish cathced by drift gill net. The results of this study found 24 species of fish. Overall community structure at station 2-5 and has a lower category because no one dominates, whereas at station 1 had a high dominance of 0.82 but with the amount of catches was only 2 types by the number of species is not too many. The length and weight of Eleutheronema tetradactylum: 23.9-28.6 cm (26%), 103.5-202.4 g (34%), Engraulis grayi: 11.4-13.1 cm (15%), 6- 22.7 g (37%), Pseudocienna amovensis: 17.9-19.5 cm (24%), 60.1-75.7 g (24%), Setipinna melanochir: 20.8-21.6 (17%,), 58.4-68.7 g (17%). Water quality parameters for temperature, pH, salinity and water stream at the estuary of Musi river were categorized in good condition for aquatic biota.

Abstract

Untuk menjaga kontinuitas usaha penangkapan bottom gillnet diperlukan upaya menjaga produktivitas hasil tangkapan. Faktor-faktor yang diduga berperan dalam meningkatkan produktivitas hasil tangkapan adalah trip penangkapan, ukuran mesin kapal (GT kapal), jumlah bahan bakar (BBM), ukuran alat tangkap dan tenaga kerja (ABK). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menentukan model terbaik (best _t model) produktivitas hasil tangkapan bottom gillnet di Pelabuhan Perikanan Nusantara (PPN) Sungailiat Provinsi Bangka Belitung. Pengujian asumsi model meliputi uji normalitas, uji linieritas, uji multikolinieritas, uji heterosidasitas, dan uji autokorelasi. Model terbaik (best _t model) menggunakan pendekatan persamaan regresi linier dengan metode backward analysis regression yaitu Y = 2;517:314 + 214:110X1 + 304:646X2 . Untuk itu, yang menjadi tolok ukur produktivitas hasil tangkapan bottom gillnet di PPN Sungailiat Provinsi Bangka Belitung adalah jumlah trip penangkapan (X1) dan GT kapal (X2).

Abstract

Soft coral is a marine animal that does not have a spine that lives in shallow water. Soft corals are able to interact with microorganisms such as fungi. Symbiotic fungi from the sea are microbes that are rich in bioactive natural products and secondary metabolites. The purpose of this study was to isolate and identify symbiotic fungi with isolated soft corals from the Sinularia polydactyla type and determine the type of media that produced the most symbiotic fungi in the Sinularia polydactyla soft coral. The research method in isolating fungal symbionts was carried out using the Direct Planting method. This study uses 3 media including PDA (Potato Dexktrose Agart), HDA (Host Dekxtrose Agart), and MEA (Malt Extract Agart). The results of this study showed that symbiotic fungi with Sinularia polydactyla soft coral were isolated in 7 isolates, with 3 isolates identified as Aspergillus flavus, 2 isolates identified as Penicillium sp., and 2 isolates identified as Aspergillus niger. The media that produced the most symbiotic mushrooms were PDA media, where 7 isolates were found, there were 3 isolates that grew on PDA media, 2 isolates on MEA media, and 2 other isolates on HDA media.

Abstract

ABSTRACT  Multigear has been commonly used in small-scale fishery activities in Sungsang waters. The aim of using the multigear is to enable the fishermen carry out their activities at every catching season. Inaccurate and inefficient use of the multigears are the concern that will present inefficiency or even conflict among the fishermen.  Therefore the research was carried out with the objective to determine the best type of a multigear that will be used in the small scale fishery at Sungsang waters based on economic, productivity, social and biological aspects. Multiple Criteria Analysis (MCA) is the method of assessment on the quality type of the multigear.  The outcome of the research presented that the best quality type of the multigear  is 1) the multigear type with the combination of trammel net  and drift longline; 2) the multigear type with the combination of drift gillnet (mesh, 3 inches) and drift long line; 3) the multigear type with the combination of drift gillnet (mesh, 2 inches) and trammel nets.  Key Words: MA analysis, small-scale fishery, the best quality multigear,ABSTRAKMultigear telah banyak digunakan pada usaha perikanan tangkap skala kecil di Perairan Sungsang. Tujuan penggunaan multigear adalah dikarenakan agar nelayan dapat terus melakukan aktivitas penangkapan dalam setiap setiap musim penangkapan.  Penggunaan multigear yang tidak tepat dan bijak, dikhawatirnya malah akan menimbulkan inefisiensi atau bahkan menimbulkan konflik antar nelayan. Oleh kerana itu, penelitian ini dilakukan dengan tujuan untuk menentukan jenis multigear unggulan pada usaha perikanan tangkap skala kecil di Perairan Sungsang berdasarkan aspek ekonomi, aspek produktivitas, aspek sosial, dan aspek biologi. Penilaian keunggulan jenis multigear menggunakan metoda Multiple Criteria Analysis (MCA). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa jenis multigear unggulan adalah: 1) jenis multigear dangan kombinasi jaring udang dan rawai hanyut;  2)  jenis multigear dangan kombinasi jaring insang hanyut (mesh, 3 inci) dengan rawai hanyut (umpan), dan 3) jenis multigear dengan kombinasi jaring insang hanyut (mesh, 2 inci) dan jaring udang. Kata kunci:  MCA analysis, perikanan skala kecil, multigear unggulan

Abstract

Tanjung Api-api sebagai pelabuhan sedikit banyak memiliki kontribusi dalam perubahan lingkunga peraiaran, termasuk perubahan konsentrasi logam timbal (Pb). Hal ini karena terjadinya peningkatan volume dan frekuensi pelayaran yang memberikan sumbangan logam Pb melalui buangan air ballast kapal. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kontribusi pembuangan air ballast kapal terhadap penambahan logam berat Pb di perairan pelabuhan Tanjug Api-Api. Penelitian dilakukan dengan mengambil sampel air ballast pada beberapa kapal (feri, speedboat, pompong) dan sampel permukaan perairan pada saat surut untuk dianalisis kandungan Pb. Pengkayaan logam Pb pada perairan dianalisis menggunakan concentration factor (Cf), Degree of contamination/Cd, dan Pollution load index/PLI.Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa pada perairan Tanjung Api-Api terjadi penambahan logam berat Pb secara antropogenik, dimana salah satu sumber pencemarnya adalah buangan air ballast kapal. Hal ini ditunjukkan oleh konsentrasi logam Pb lebih tinggi dibanding perairan dan adanya korelasi positif antara logam Pb perairan dan air ballast. Konsetrasi logam Pb di perairan telah melampaui ambang batas baku mutu KepmenLH No. 51 tahun 2004, sedangkan konsentrasi logam Pb di air ballast untuk kapal feri masih berada di bawah baku mutu, namun untuk speedboat dan kapal pompong telah melampaui batas baku mutu KepmenLH No. 51 tahun 1995.Keywords : pengkayaan, logam Pb, air ballast, tingkat kontaminasi, tanjung api-api

Abstract

Kristianti et al, 2019. Toxicity of Linear Alkilbenzene Sulfonate (LAS) Surfactant Gills and Liver Histology of Humpback Grouper Seed (Cromileptes Altivelis). JLSO 8(1):107-116.LAS is surfactant that is most commonly used because this surfactant is the main cleaning substance contained in detergent. Waste of detergent can give side effects in the tissue of organisms, especially on the gills and liver of fish. The aims of this research were to analyze the toxic effects arised from LAS surfactant to the survival of fish seed experiment with different concentrations, to determine levels of LAS surfactant that are capable to be tolerated and to analyze the gills and liver damage arising from LAS surfactant to fish seed experiment. The test of LAS surfactant toxicity on fish seed experiment was conducted using the laboratory of experimental method, while the testing of gills and liver histology of fish seed experiment with paraffin method and Hematoxylin Eosin (HE) staining. The results showed that LAS surfactant gave toxic effects on Humpback Grouper Seed (Cromileptes altivelis) and gave effect such damage to the gills and liver histology. Toxicity and tissue damage rose as the increase of LAS surfactant concentration. LAS surfactant levels were able to be tolerated by Humpback Grouper Seed test not more than 0,253 mg/l.

Jurnal Lahan Suboptimal: Journal of Suboptimal Lands. 8(2):213-219. The Musi river estuary plays an important role as one of the fishing grounds. The high activity in the musi estuary has an impact on the ecosystems in this region, including the negative impact in the form of ecosystem changes caused by heavy metals. The aim of this study was to determine the concentrations of heavy metals (Pb and Cu) in Alepesvariand Johniusbelangerii in the Musi river estuary. Fish were obtained from fishermen who used the Gillnet Millennium (Ply) gear in July 2018 and were analyzed using the Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometer (AAS). The results showed that the concentration of  Pb  in J. belangerii was greater than A. vari, but the concentration of Cu  in  A. vari  was greater than in  J. belangerii. Concentration of  Pb has exceeded the limit for safe consumption based on National Agency of Drug and Food Control.

Biodiversity of fishes in musi estuary, South Sumatra, Indonesia.  Jurnal Lahan Suboptimal : Journal of Suboptimal Lands 9(2): 192-198.The high activity in the Musi estuary will have an impact on fishes diversity. This research aimed to analyse the biodiversity of fishes in the Musi estuary in South Sumatra. An experimental fishing method was used for data collection by fishing ground following the local fishermen habit using gillnet millennium. The abundance of fish species found were 21 species and 16 families. The main catch was Hemibagrus nemurus with a high relative abundance (RA) of 35.4% but the high availability frequency of 100% is Eleutheronema tetradactylum. The average value of the moderate diversity index (H'= 1.47), the moderate evenness index (J'= 0.48) and the low dominance index (D= 0.32). This condition shows that the community structure of the species captured by the gill net is in a fairly stable condition with the number of species that are spread fairly evenly and no species dominate each other.

Abstract

ABSTRAKPesisir Banyuasin merupakan salah satu sentra perikanan tangkap di Provinsi Sumatera Selatan. Kawasan ini menyimpan potensi sumber daya perikanan yang harus dijaga kelestariannya. Banyak nelayan yang menggantungkan hidupnya di kawasan ini, hanya saja ragam pemanfaatan di sepanjang aliran Sungai Banyuasin seperti pemukiman, industri, pertanian dan transportasi telah mempengaruhi kualitas perairan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji bagaimana kondisi nitrat, nitrit, amonia, fosfat dan BOD di Pesisir Banyuasin. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan pada bulan September 2017 meliputi 22 stasiun penelitian, analisa sampel dilakukan di Laboratorium Balai Riset dan Standardisasi Industri (Baristand) Palembang merujuk pada SNI. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan konsentrasi nitrat selama penelitian berkisar antara 0,025-3,21 mg/L, nitrit 0,002-0,093 mg/L, amonia 0,002-0,031 mg/L, fosfat 0,011-0,231 mg/L dan BOD 2,14-8,73 mg/L. Konsentrasi nitrat dan fosfat telah melebihi baku mutu yang ditetapkan, adapun untuk parameter nitrit, amonia dan BOD masih dibawah baku mutu. ABSTRACTCoastal of Banyuasin is one of the centers of capture fisheries in South Sumatra Province. This area had the potential of fisheries resources that must be preserved. Many fishermen are depend their lives on this area, but some activity along Banyuasin River such as settlement, industry, agriculture and transportation has affected the quality of water. This study aims to examine the conditions of nitrate, nitrite, ammonia, phosphate and BOD in the Coastal of Banyuasin. Sampling was conducted in September 2017 covering 22 research stations, sample analysis conducted at Palembang Institute for Industrial Research and Standaritation Laboratory refers to SNI. The results showed that the concentration of nitrate during the study ranged from 0.025-3.21 mg.L-1, nitrite 0.002-0.093 mg.L-1, ammonia 0.002-0.031 mg.L-1, phosphate 0.011-0.231 mg.L-1and BOD 2.14-8.73 mg.L-1. The concentration of nitrate and phosphate in Banyuasin River estuary were exceeded quality standards while nitrite, ammonia and BOD were still below specified quality standards.
