Abstract

The global tourism landscape is witnessing a significant paradigm shift toward authentic, meaningful, and sustainable experiences. In response, Community-Based Tourism (CBT) has emerged as a vital strategic framework. Hanjeli Tourism Village, situated within the Ciletuh-Palabuhanratu UNESCO Global Geopark, offers a distinctive Unique Value Proposition (UVP) through the cultivation of Coix lacryma-jobi L. (Hanjeli)—a nutrient-dense functional food deeply embedded in local cultural heritage. Despite this potential, the destination faces critical branding and digital promotion deficits, resulting in a strategic misalignment between its intrinsic brand identity and its perceived image among prospective travelers. This study examines a strategic marketing intervention leveraging narrative marketing and visual storytelling via promotional videos. By transforming Hanjeli’s core tangible and intangible assets into a cohesive brand narrative, this approach aims to enhance brand awareness and stimulate visit intentions. Beyond marketing objectives, the intervention is designed to catalyze positive socio-economic and socio-cultural outcomes for the local community, fostering long-term resilience and sustainability.

Abstract

This study examines the impact of employee organizational citizenship behavior (OCB) and engagement on the performance of microfinance institutions, with a focus on the moderating role of managerial decision-making. Data were collected from 100 key microfinance institutions employees in Greater Bandung, with interviews of 10 experienced staff (>5 years) conducted to refine the questionnaire and ensure alignment with microfinance institutions work conditions. Using Structural Equation Modeling using Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) for data analysis, this study finds that both organizational citizenship behavior (OCB) and employee engagement significantly enhance microfinance institutions performance. The results further indicate that managerial decision-making serves as a critical mediator between OCB, employee engagement, and organizational performance. These findings underscore the importance of managerial decision-making in amplifying the effects of OCB and employee engagement on microfinance institutions performance. Furthermore, this research introduces alternative metrics for assessing OCB, employee engagement, managerial decision-making, and organizational performance.

Abstract

Gamification has become an important digital marketing strategy for creating a more engaging online shopping experience. Shopee implements this strategy through Shopee Games, which allows users to participate in various game activities and earn rewards that can be redeemed during shopping. The present study investigates how gamification applied through Shopee Games influences the purchase decisions of Shopee users in West Java. This research adopted a quantitative approach using descriptive and verificative methods. Data were collected through an online questionnaire completed by 100 respondents who met the predetermined research criteria and were subsequently analysed using descriptive statistics, validity and reliability tests, classical assumption tests, simple linear regression, the t-test, and the coefficient of determination with IBM SPSS Statistics. The results show that participants generally reported positive perceptions of the gamification features provided by Shopee Games. Statistical analysis revealed a statistically significant positive relationship between gamification and purchase decisions (? = 0.382; t = 13.162; p < 0.001). Furthermore, gamification accounted for 63.9% of the variance in purchase decisions (R² = 0.639). Overall, the findings suggest that gamification can serve not only as an entertainment feature but also as an effective digital marketing strategy for encouraging consumers' purchase decisions on the Shopee platform.

Abstract

The development of the cosmetic industry in Indonesia has experienced substantial growth, accompanied by increasing awareness of self-care and personal appearance, particularly among Generation Z. In an increasingly competitive cosmetic market, understanding consumer perception is essential because consumers' evaluations of product quality, price, brand image, and product benefits may influence their satisfaction. This study aims to examine the effect of Generation Z consumer perception on consumer satisfaction toward Raecca cosmetic products in Bandung City. This study employed a quantitative explanatory research design. The population consisted of Generation Z consumers who had used Raecca Cosmetics in Bandung City. A total of 96 respondents were selected using a purposive sampling technique based on predetermined inclusion criteria. Data were collected through a structured questionnaire using a five-point Likert scale and analyzed using IBM SPSS Statistics through descriptive analysis and simple linear regression. The findings show that Consumer Perception obtained an average score of 82.57%, categorized as High, while Consumer Satisfaction achieved an average score of 82.76%. The regression analysis demonstrates that Consumer Perception has a positive and significant effect on Consumer Satisfaction, with a regression coefficient of 0.433, a calculated t-value of 14.227, and a significance value of 0.000 < 0.05. The coefficient of determination (R² = 0.683) indicates that Consumer Perception explains 68.3% of the variation in Consumer Satisfaction. These findings confirm that positive consumer perceptions contribute substantially to satisfaction among Generation Z consumers of Raecca Cosmetics and highlight the importance of maintaining product quality, value, brand consistency, and consumer experience in strengthening satisfaction.
