Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan media video pembelajaran kultur jaringan berbasis masalah. Penelitian pengembangan ini menggunakan model Borg dan Gall melalui 7 tahapan yaitu: (1) Pengumpulan data penelitian berupa nilai hasil belajar mahasiswa mata kuliah kultur jaringan, observasi, dan wawancara kepada mahasiswa yang mengikuti mata kuliah kultur jaringan dan dosen pengampu mata kuliah kultur jaringan, (2) Perencanaan berupa membuat sintak pembelajaran berbasis masalah (PBL) dan membuat skenario setiap materi kultur jaringan, (3) Pengembangan produk awal berupa video pembelajaran kultur jaringan berbasis masalah, (4) Uji coba lapangan produk utama berupa uji teman sejawat, perorangan dan kelompok kecil oleh mahasiswa yang mengikuti mata kuliah kultur jaringan, (5) Revisi produk uji coba lapangan utama, (6) Uji coba lapangan skala luas berupa uji coba lapangan terbatas oleh mahasiswa yang mengikuti mata kuliah kultur jaringan, (7) Revisi produk final hasil uji coba lapangan skala luas. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan angket. Data dianalisis dengan menggunakan teknik analisis deskriptif. Dari hasil penilaian terhadap video pembelajaran kultur jaringan berbasis masalah yang telah dikembangkan dinilai “layak” digunakan dengan persentase rata-rata skor 76,7% oleh teman sejawat dosen. Hasil tanggapan mahasiswa dinilai “layak” digunakan, melalui uji coba perorangan dengan persentase rata-rata skor 75,6%, uji coba kelompok kecil 73,8%, dan uji coba lapangan terbatas 82%. Media video pembelajaran kultur jaringan berbasis masalah dikategorikan baik dan “ layak” digunakan pada perkuliahan kultur jaringan.

Abstract

Research conducted in the village of Dolok Sordang bordering the Natural Reserve of Dolok Sipirok. Found 21 types of liverworts which contains the thalloid liverworts and leafy liverworts. The family has one of the highest types of variation is Lejeuneaceae (6) followed by the Lepidoziaceae (4), Radulaceae (3), Lophocoliaceae (2), Marchantiaceae (2), Plaghiocilaceae (2), Metzegeriaceae (1) and the Aneuraceae (1). These types found on the substrate and elevation. Research data will be used as a reference to see the diversity of types of liverworts in the Natural Reserve of Dolok Sipirok

Abstract

This community service activity is Science and Technology Guidance and Training of Andaliman Plant Seed Germination Process (Zanthoxylum acanthopodium DC.) In Sitaratoit Village. Andaliman (Zanthoxylum acanthopodium DC.) Is a wild plant found in North Sumatra, Indonesia, the Rutaceae family. The Batak people use the fruit as a spice in their traditional cuisine. Breaking the seed dormancy period of andaliman plants is the initial treatment of the seeds intended to start the germination process, this effort can be in the form of physical, mechanical or chemical treatment. Andaliman plant germination is a process of growth and development of embryos that undergo changes where the plumula grows and develops into stems and radicles into roots. Dormancy is a state of stopping growth experienced by a living organism or its part in response to a condition that does not support normal growth. Thus, dormancy is a reaction to certain physical or environmental conditions. The trigger of dormancy can be mechanical, physical, or chemical. Specific objectives achieved were the provision of science and technology about breaking the seed dormancy period of andaliman plants to the people of Sitaratoit Village, Guidance to the Sitaratoit villagers about the seed germination process of andaliman plants, and the training of Sitaratoit villagers to cultivate andaliman plants. Specific target achieved is that the Sitaratoit Village Community can implement the cultivation activities of andaliman plants, andaliman plants in the Sitaratoit Village area can provide economic benefits for the community, andaliman plant management and cultivation are more noticed and known by the local community, and increase the percentage of seed germination of andaliman plants. The methods used in achieving the objectives of this activity are Village Potential Survey, Conducting dialogues through FGD program activities (Focuss Group Disscussion.), And Science and Technology based guidance and training. The stages of this activity are the Breaking of the Dormancy Period of the Seeds of Andaliman Plants, the Making of Planting Media for the Sprouts of Andaliman Plants, and the Making of the Andaliman Plant Shade. The results of this community service activity are the provision of science and technology about breaking the seed dormancy period of andaliman plants for 2 days to 18 people of Sitaratoit Village, 3 people from the village administration, and 3 students from private universities who are carrying out street vendors activities. The Sitaratoit Village community guidance about the process of seed germination of andaliman plants for 1 day the following day was also actively followed by the Sitaratoit Village community. And the training of the Sitaratoit Village community to cultivate andaliman plants for 1 day after 40 days later has also been carried out well and actively followed by the Sitaratoit Village community.Keywords : Andaliman, Seed dormancy, Seed germination.

Abstract

The role of food additives (BTP), especially preservatives, is becoming increasingly important in line with technological advances in the production of synthetic food additives. Preservatives are used to preserve food that is easily damaged. Lately with many found food products such as tofu, meatballs, noodles and snacks of school children containing harmful chemicals that cause people to be careful in consuming these types of foods. The food is often sold in the school environment by food vendors and sold freely in the community. The majority of school food snacks (PJAS) throughout 2010 still contain hazardous chemicals. As a result of almost every year still found some schoolchildren, especially at the elementary level, experiencing food poisoning. The number of PJAS containing hazardous materials is reflected from the supervision of the Food and Drug Supervisory Agency (BPOM). In this case, devotees have provided direction and counselling about healthy snacks and simple test of snack test containing formalin and borax conducted in workshop activity. The target of this activity is the teachers and elementary school children at SDN 200201 Padangsidimpuan. The number of extension participants is 90 people consisting of teachers and students. The place of execution of activities carried out in SDN 200101 Padangsidimpuan. The implementation method used an experimental method and mentoring. With this activity is expected to provide information and hazard knowledge of chemical content in foods, especially formalin and borax to create a healthy and quality generation.Keywords: Healthy snacks, formalin, borax

Abstract

The problem in this research is the low student learning outcomes. The type of study is class action research. The Learning Model used is (GQGA) Giving Question And Getting Answer. The subject of this study is a student of grade X SMA Negeri 1 Muara Batang Gadis consisting of 21 students. The technique and Data collector tools are tests and observations. The results of the study can be seen from the student study results test at Cycle I with an average value of 62%, in cycle II to 76% with an increase of 14%. Then the students ' biological learning activities increased, it obtained from a percentage of 53% cycle I, and 73% in cycle II. Abstract

This research aims to improve creativity, student activity and management of biological learning through the application of learning model of Problem Based Learning (PBL) in class XI IPA-4 SMA Negeri 1 Sipirok T. P 2018/2019. This type of research is class action research (PTK) using two learning cycles. Each cycle starts with planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The data collection techniques used are tests and observations with data collection tools in the form of test sheets and observation sheets. Based on the results of the study, obtained the test result on the cycle I with an average value of 71.84 students who completed 9 people (71.97%) And in cycle II was obtained an average value of 93.59 students over 30 people (93.75%) So from cycle I to cycle II occurred an increase of 7 people (21.88%). The results of the observation on student learning activities in cycle I were obtained an average value of 2.32 (58.28%), Cycle II 3.05 (76.56%) An increase of 18.28% of the criteria is quite good criteria. The management of biological learning from cycle I gained an average percentage of 70% and Sikulus II to 91%. Thus, from cycle I to cycle II There has been an increase of 21% of the circulation enough to be a good criterion. Abstract

A study on the effect of andaliman (Zanthoxylum acanthopodium DC.) leaves ethanol extract to morphological ovary of mice (Mus musculus L.) strain DDW. has been, and was given orally by gavage on 4 days before estrus and 4 days after estrus with the volume given was 0,1 ml/10 g body weight. The research has been studied at Animal Structure And Physiology Laboratory of Department of Biology in Mathematics And Natural Science Faculty, University of  North Sumatera in Medan since February 2006 until September 2006. The research method used was completely randomized designed non factorial which consist of treatment and control groups. The treatment had one factor that is extract dosages with 2500 ppm (0,25 g/100 ml aquadest), 5000 ppm (0,5 g/100 ml aquadest), 10000 ppm (1,0 g/100 ml aquadest), 20000 ppm (2,0 g/100 ml aquadest), 40000 ppm (4,0 g/100 ml aquadest).The result showed that the chemistry consist of andaliman leaves extract is alkaloid, steroid, and saponin. The effect of andaliman leaves extract on 9 days to morphology of  ovary weight and diameter of mice did effect, but DnMRT showed non significantly effect of treatment and control groups of mice. From the result it was concluded that andaliman leaves extract did effect to ovary morphology of female mice, because can be effected oogenesis and ovulation. But the result showed that fluctuatif, because maybe the andaliman extract is crude extract that didn’t  isolation chemistry consist.

Abstract

This research aimed to study Piridoksin (Vitamin B6) status in blood sample of Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) children. Deductive research using the descriptive method through 2 stage, namely : (1) Taken of blood sample, and (2) Analysis of Piridoksin (Vitamin B6) status in blood sample was performed by using High Performance Liquid Chromatograpy (HPLC) method. Data collected and assessed by once in one time. Data were analyzed using descriptive analysis techniques and Chi Square tests (X2) by Computer programs (SPSS 15). The result of the assessment of Piridoksin (Vitamin B6) status in blood sample of ADHD children that had been was considered statistically highly significant a reduce of the assessment of Piridoksin (Vitamin B6) status in blood sample of ADHD children by 0,422 ng/ml compared with laboratory reference (control) by 0,36-1,8 ng/ml, HA<C** (p<0,001). This was considered a reduction in Piridoksin (Vitamin B6)) concentrations induces of the Hyperactivity children by 95%.

Abstract

Tujuan yang ingin dicapai adalah untuk mengetahui kandungan yang ada dalam daun pacar (Lawsonia inermis L.), mengetahui alasan daun pacar (Lawsonia inermis L.) dapat mengobati jamur pada kuku, mengetahui proses pembuatan senyawa antifungi yang dapat menyembuhkan jamur pada kuku. Metode yang akan dipakai adalah metode eksperimen untuk mengetahui kemampuan daun pacar (Lawsonia inermis L.) sebagai anti jamur pada kuku. Pengukuran dilakukan satu kali dalam waktu yang bersamaan. Rencana kegiatan yang akan dilaksanakan adalah pembuatan ekstrak daun pacar (Lawsonia inermis L.), uji kandungan kimia ekstrak daun pacar (Lawsonia inermis L.), pembuatan media jamur yaitu media PDA, pembuatan suspensi jamur dari kuku, uji aktivitas jamur pada kuku, analisis data aktivitas jamur pada kuku. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa semakin tinggi dosis ekstrak daun pacar maka semakin tinggi juga aktivitasnya terhadap biakan jamur kuku pada penelitian ini. Dosis ekstrak daun pacar yang tertinggi adalah 7,5 g, dimana ditandai dengan rata-rata diameter zona hambatnya adalah 2,14 cm dan rata-rata luas zona jernihnya adalah 1,14 ± 0,22 cm2. Secara statistik menunjukkan hasil yang tidak berbeda nyata pada hubungan dosis ekstrak daun pacar dan rata-rata luas zona jernih (0,001 < P < 0,05), dengan Mean Square yaitu 0,048. Kata Kunci: Daun pacar, Lawsonia inermis L., Jamur kuku, Ekstrak Etanol

Abstract

Tujuan yang ingin dicapai adalah untuk mencari alternatif bahan pewarna alami tekstil dengan menggunakan ekstrak buah karamunting (Melastoma malabathricum) sebagai bahan penggantinya. Metode yang akan dipakai adalah metode eksperimen untuk mengetahui kemampuan ekstrak buah karamunting (Melastoma malabathricum) sebagai pewarna alami berbagai jenis bahan tekstil. Pengukuran dilakukan satu kali dalam waktu yang bersamaan. Kegiatan yang dilaksanakan adalah pembuatan ekstrak buah karamunting (Melastoma malabathricum), uji kandungan kimia ekstrak buah karamunting (Melastoma malabathricum), dan pewarnaan beberapa jenis kain. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa alternatif bahan pewarna alami tekstil dengan menggunakan ekstrak buah karamunting (Melastoma malabathricum) sebagai bahan penggantinya. Dimana dari hasil uji kandungan kimia ekstrak buah karamunting yang tertinggi adalah zat flavonoid, tanin, dan polifenol, sedangkan kandungan kimia yang terendah adalah zat alkaloid. Dari hasil uji zat warna ekstrak buah karamunting pada berbagai jenis kain Asianteks adalah jenis yang kualitas warna kainnya paling baik dengan lama waktu penyerapan zat warna kain adalah 30 menit.
