Abstract

ABSTRACT Pratama XX Clinic in Samarinda serves up to 100 patients per day with limited manpower resources, thus potentially causing mental workload and stress. Mental workload occurs because work demands exceed the individual’s mental capacity which can trigger fatigue and emotional reactions. Psychological disorder such as depression, anxiety, and stress often arise as a result of high work pressure. Understand the correlation between mental workload and psychological dimensions such as depression, anxiety and stress. Also understand therelationship between psychological dimensions (depression, anxiety and stress). This study used a quantitative descriptive correlational design with a cross-sectional approach. The sample consisted of 10 XX clinic employees in Samarinda who were selected through total sampling. The instruments used were DASS-21 to measure depression, anxienty, and stress, and simple NASA-TLX to measure mental workload. Data were analyzed descriptively and using the Spearman correlation test because the sample size was small and the data was non-parametric. The correlation between mental workload and anxiety is significant( = 0.642 ; p-value = 0.045), while the correlation with depression (= 0.263 ; p-value = 0.462) and the relationship with stress ( = 0.351 ; p-value = 0.320) are not significant. While the correlation between Depresion and Anxiety is significant ( = 0.664 ; p-value = 0.036), and the correlation between Depression and Stress is also very significant ( = 0.777 ; p-value = 0.008), as well as the correlation between anxiety and stress which is also significant ( = 0.746 p-value = 0.013). From the research results, it was found that mental workload and anxiety have a close relationship, and the three psychological dimensions, namely depresions, anxiety and stress, are interrelated and can strengthen and each other. Keywords: Mental workload, Depression, Anxiety, Stress.  ABSTRAK Klinik Pratama XX di Samarinda melayani hinga 100 pasien per hari dengan sumber daya tenaga kerja yang terbatas, sehingga berpotensi menimbulkan beban kerja mental dan strs yang terbatas, sehingga berpotensi menimbulkan beban kerja mental dan stres pada tenaga kesehatan. Beban kerja mental terjadi karena tuntutan pekerjaan melebihi kapasitas mental individu yang dapat memicu kelelahan dan reaksi emosional. Gangguan psikologis seperti depresi, kecemasan, dan stres sering muncul sebagai dampak dari tekanan kerja yang tinggi. Memahami adanya korelasi antara beban kerja mental dengan dimensi psikologis berupa depresi, kecemasan dan stres. Juga memahami hubungan antara diemensi psikologis (depresi, kecemasan dan stres). Penelitian ini menggunakan desain kuantitatif deskriptif korelasional dengan pendekatan cross-sectional. Sampel terdiri dari 10 karyawan klinik XX di Samarinda yang dipilih melalui total sampling. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah NASA-TLX sederhana untuk mengukur beban kerja mental serta DASS-21 untuk mengukur depresi, kecemasan dan stres. Data dianalisis secara deshriptif dan menggunakan uji korelasi Spearman karena jumlah sampel kecil dan data berskala non-parametik. Korelasi antara beban kerja mental dan kecemasan bersifat signifikan ( = 0.642 ; p-value = 0.045), sementara korelasi dengan depresi (= 0.263 ; p-value = 0.462) dan hubungan dengan stres ( = 0.351 ; p-value = 0.320) tidak signifikan. Sementara korelasi antara Depresi dan Kecemasan bersifat signifikan ( = 0.664 ; p-value = 0.036),dan korelasi Depresi dengan Stres juga sangat signifikan ( = 0.777 ; p-value = 0.008), begitu juga dengan korelasi kecemasan dengan stres yang juga signifikan ( = 0.746 p-value = 0.013). Dari hasil penelitian didapatkan beban kerja mental dengan kecemasan memiliki hubungan yang erat, dan ketiga dimensi psikologis yaitu depresi, kecemasan dan stres saling berhubungan dan dapat saling memperkuat. Kata Kunci: Beban Kerja Mental, Depresi, Kecemasan, Stres

Abstract

Hipertensi merupakan penyakit tidak menular yang umum dialami lansia, namun sering tidak terdeteksi sejak dini akibat kurangnya pengetahuan dan kepatuhan terhadap pengobatan. Program pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman dan keterampilan lansia dalam mengelola hipertensi secara mandiri melalui pendekatan edukatif dan demonstratif. Kegiatan dilaksanakan di Posyandu Kenanga 2, Desa Loa Pari, dengan melibatkan 52 peserta lansia. Metode pelaksanaan mencakup senam lansia, pemeriksaan tekanan darah dan IMT, pre-test, penyuluhan interaktif tentang hipertensi dan mitos obat, serta demonstrasi pembuatan minuman herbal dari bahan lokal seperti jahe, sereh, kayu manis, madu, dan mentimun. Evaluasi dilakukan melalui post-test dan observasi praktik langsung peserta. Hasil menunjukkan peningkatan nilai pengetahuan peserta dari rerata pre-test 79,22 menjadi 93,45 pada post-test, dengan hasil uji paired t-test p = 0,011. Kegiatan ini menunjukkan bahwa intervensi edukatif dan praktis dapat meningkatkan literasi kesehatan lansia dan menjadi strategi tambahan dalam pengendalian hipertensi secara berkelanjutan.

Abstract

Bencana kebakaran dan ledakan masih menjadi momok bagi warga terutama yang bertempat tinggal di sekitar terminal BBM. Diperlukan sosialisasi dan simulasi pengendalian bencana kepada warga yang bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman warga mengenai jalur evakuasi yang aman saat kebakaran dan memperkenalkan bunyi sirene agar warga lebih siap saat menghadapi bahaya kebakaran. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini dilaksanakan pada hari Rabu, 31 Mei 2023 terhadap 32 kepala keluarga yang bertempat tinggal di RT 27 Kelurahan Teluk Lerong Ulu, Kecamatan Sungai Kunjang, Kota Samarinda. Kegiatan sosialisasi jalur aman saat evakuasi dilakukan secara langsung dan menggunakan selebaran yang berisi informasi tentang peta dan prosedur saat evakuasi bencana, sedangkan kegiatan simulasi dilakukan dengan mempraktikkan cara menggunakan alat sirene manual kepada warga untuk memperdengarkan suara atau bunyi sirene yang dipergunakan saat dilakukan evakuasi bencana kebakaran. Hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa kegiatan sosialisasi dapat meningkatkan pemahaman warga mengenai jalur evakuasi ke titik kumpul aman dan meningkatkan kemampuan warga untuk membedakan bunyi sirene saat terjadi bencana kebakaran.

Abstract

Kebakaran adalah salah satu bencana yang tidak dapat diprediksi oleh manusia. Kebakaran paling sering terjadi dikawasan padat penduduk. Meski sudah merasa sangat berhati-hati dalam menggunakan perangkat dan peralatan yang menghasilkan api di dalam rumah. Banyak faktor yang dapat menjadi sumber penyebab kebakaran rumah salah satunya adalah kebocoran selang pada kompor gas dan konsleting listrik. Tujuan dari sosialisasi dan pelatihan dalam pengabdian masyarakat adalah memberikan pengetahuan dan pelatihan tentang pencegahan kebakaran tingkat rumah tangga. Peserta yang terlibat dalam sosialisasi dan pelatihan meliputi dosen, tenaga kependidikan dan warga RT. 27 Kelurahan Teluk Lerong Ulu di Sekitar Fuel Terminal Kota Samarinda. Pelaksanaan kegitan dilaksanakan dengan metode penyampaian materi, praktik dan peninjauan hasil dari pre-test dan post-test. Berdasarkan hasil dari kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat adanya peningkatan pengetahun terkait dengan pencegahan kebakaran yang ditinjau sebelum dan setelah kegiatan berlangsung. Sebelum kegiatan dilaksanakan, tingkat pengetahuan mengenai pencegahan kebakaran sebesar 72%, namun setelah kegiatan pengabdian dilakukan meningkat menjadi 90%. Dengan demikan terjadi peningkatan pengetahuan warga sebesar 18%. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa luaran dari kegiatan sosialisasi dan pelatihan keselamatan pencegahan kebakaran ini berhasil. Diharapakan Kegiatan sosialisasi dan pelatihan seperti ini dapat tetap dilaksanakan secara berkala dan berkelanjutan agar masyarakat selalu waspada dan berhati-hati serta perlu dilakukan simulasi tanggap darurat kebakaran tujuannya memberikan gambaran kepada seluruh warga sebagai antisipasi dalam menyelamatkan diri ketika kejadian kebakaran terjadi. Selain itu, simulasi ini juga dapat meminimalisasi akibat dari kejadian-kejadian yang tidak diinginkan.

Abstract

This ethnographic study investigates the Haul tradition's execution in Samarinda, East Kalimantan, emphasising the procedures and challenges of preserving this significant religious and cultural event. The Haul custom- an Islamic observance that pays tribute to esteemed progenitors or saints, is of great spiritual significance; however, it is currently facing contemporary challenges, such as ethnic diversity and generational shifts. Betulungan, a native term that signifies cooperation and communal assistance, is the foundation of the Haul's prosperity in Samarinda. Betulungan's role in fostering collaboration among women from various ethnic backgrounds—Javanese, Banjar, Kutai, and Dayak—who are involved in the administration and maintenance of the Haul is further clarified in this study. The research employed a case study methodology, utilising data collected from five key informants chosen for their substantial contributions to the organization of the Haul within their communities. The neighborhood leader, a critical participant in organising community events, is identified as a key informant because he fosters collaboration and ensures inclusion in this multiethnic environment. The research, conducted through participant observation and exhaustive interviews, illustrates how Betulungan is a conduit for bridging ethnic divides and promoting interethnic collaboration in preparing food, rituals, and logistics for the Haul. The data indicate that Betulungan fosters a collaborative environment where women, regardless of ethnicity, unify to achieve a common spiritual goal, thereby preserving the Haul heritage and enhancing social cohesiveness. In response to the socio-cultural dynamics of a modernizing, multiethnic Samarinda, the Haul heritage has continued to evolve, with the culture of mutual assistance being crucial to its preservation. The research improves understanding of the substantial role those local cooperative behaviors play in conserving cultural and religious traditions among various groups.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini berfokus pada pemberdayaan pemuda Desa Karama, Kecamatan Tinambung, Kabupaten Polewali Mandar, dengan mengusung tema “Peran Pemuda dan Digitalisasi.” Tujuan kegiatan ini adalah meningkatkan kesadaran dan kapasitas pemuda dalam menghadapi tantangan serta memanfaatkan peluang di era digitalisasi 5.0. Pemuda sebagai generasi penerus bangsa diharapkan tidak hanya menjadi pengguna teknologi, tetapi juga inovator dan agen perubahan dalam bidang pendidikan, ekonomi, dan budaya. Metode pelaksanaan terdiri atas tiga tahap, yaitu ceramah, sharing session, dan tanya jawab interaktif untuk menggali permasalahan serta solusi yang relevan bagi pemuda Desa Karama. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan meningkatnya pemahaman dan motivasi pemuda untuk berperan aktif dalam pengembangan potensi daerah melalui pemanfaatan teknologi digital secara kreatif dan produktif. Dengan demikian, kegiatan ini mendorong terbentuknya generasi muda yang adaptif, berdaya saing, dan siap menghadapi transformasi digital global.

Abstract

Heat strain is a physiological reaction of the body that functions to release excess heat through sweat output, increased body temperature, heart rate, blood pressure, and weight loss. PT X is a company that operates in the oil and gas sector. The results of the study found that the workload was not appropriate and the incidence of work accidents that occurred due to fatigue. This study was conducted to see the heat strain complaints experienced by tank overhaul workers in the Oil Refinery Area of PT. X Balikpapan City and the associated factors. This research applied quantitative method with analytical approach and cross-sectional design and the research sample amounted to 80 workers (total sampling). The results showed that heat strain complaints among tank overhaul workers at PT X Balikpapan City are included in the danger zone as many as 39 workers (48.8%). It is concluded that heat strain complaints among workers fall into the danger zone or red zone, there is a relationship between drinking water consumption (r=0.030), physical workload (r=0.039), indoor work climate (r=0.001), and outdoor work climate (r=0.018) with heat strain complaints, and there is no relationship between age (r=0.145) and length of work (r=0.539) with heat strain complaints. The company is advised to provide education on the importance of consuming drinking water to all workers, adjust the amount of work or workload according to the ability of workers, and carry out engineering controls by installing vents.

Abstract

Coal mining is one of the industries that has a high level of danger and risk of work accidents. In 2023, in PT X department Z there were 36 work accidents with the most units occurring in the dump truck unit. The purpose of this study was to determine the factors associated with work accidents in dump truck operators at PT X East Kutai Regency in 2025. This study used a cross sectional study design with 78 respondents who were dump truck operators taken by stratified random sampling. Data collection using questionnaires and CMR (Compliance Monitoring Report) observation sheets that apply at PT.X. Measurement of variables using the Guttman scale based on K3 theory and adaptation of previous research. Data analysis using Spearman rank correlation analysis, the dependent variable is work accidents, and the independent variables include OHS knowledge, OHS training, compliance with SOPs, length of service, work shifts. In this study, 30.8% of workers had experienced work accidents. The results of the bivariate test showed that there was a significant relationship between OHS knowledge (pvalue=0.000), OHS training (p value=0.015), compliance with SOP (p value=0.003) with the incidence of work accidents in dump truck operators. Meanwhile, there was no relationship between the variables of length of service (p value=0.619) and work shift (p value=0.213) with the incidence of work accidents among dump truck operators.

Abstract

Background : Work in the industrial sector has a high potential for occupational accidents, especially in material handling activities using heavy equipment such as forklifts. Unsafe actions, unsafe conditions, and lack of operator competence can increase the risk of accidents. Therefore, identifying and controlling workplace hazards is essential to improve occupational safety performance Objective : This study aims to identify potential hazards and assess the level of risk during forklift loading and unloading operations at PT United Tractors Balikpapan using the Job Safety Analysis (JSA) method. Research Methods/ Implementation Methods : This is a descriptive qualitative study conducted through field observation, interviews with three informants (supervisor, forklift operator, and HSE officer), and documentation review. Data were analyzed using Job Safety Analysis (JSA) to determine potential hazards, probability, severity, and control measures. Results : The study identified 15 potential hazards in 8 work stages, including risks of electric shock, falling objects, pinching, and non-ergonomic posture injuries. The main contributing factors were human error, equipment condition, and work environment. Preventive measures include certified operator training, regular equipment maintenance, and consistent use of personal protective equipment (PPE). Conclusion/Lesson Learned : The application of Job Safety Analysis effectively helps identify workplace hazards and improves safety management in forklift operations. Continuous training, supervision, and hazard monitoring are recommended to minimize accident risks.

Abstract

Background : Work fatigue is a significant occupational health issue leading to decreased work capacity and an increased risk of workplace accidents, as evidenced by global and national data (ILO, BPJS Ketenagakerjaan). Administrative staff at PT. X experience demanding conditions, including monotonous tasks, long working hours (>10 hours), work overload, and deadline pressure, contributing to stress and fatigue. Creating a comfortable and pleasant work environment is one strategy to mitigate fatigue, with music intervention being a promising, non-invasive method. Previous studies suggest that music can reduce stress, improve mood, and enhance concentration. Objective : This study aimed to analyze the effectiveness of instrumental music playback in reducing work fatigue and increasing work morale and work productivity among administrative staff at PT. X. Design: A quantitative quasi-experimental study with a Two-Group Pretest-Posttest design. 40 administrative staff members were divided into an experimental group (n=20) and a control group (n=20). The experimental group was exposed to instrumental music played via speakers for 7 consecutive working days. The control group continued working without music. Data on work fatigue, work morale, and work productivity were collected using standardized questionnaires (KAUPK2 for fatigue, plus specific questionnaires for morale and productivity) before (pretest) and after (posttest) the intervention. The paired sample t-test was used to analyze work productivity data, and the Wilcoxon signed-rank test was used for work fatigue and morale data, with a significance level of α = 0.05. Results : The study found statistically significant differences in the experimental group after the music intervention: Work Fatigue: A significant reduction was observed (p-value < 0.001). The percentage of staff in the "light fatigue" category decreased from 65% to 10%, while those in the "normal" category increased from 35% to 90%. Work Morale: A significant improvement was recorded (p-value < 0.001). Staff with "good" morale increased from 50% to 95%. Work Productivity: A significant increase was confirmed (p-value < 0.001). Staff with "good" productivity rose from 35% to 85%. In contrast, the control group showed no improvement or a slight decline in these metrics. Conclusion/Lesson Learned : The study concludes that the playback of instrumental music is an effective intervention for significantly reducing work fatigue and enhancing both work morale and work productivity among administrative staff. It is recommended that companies consider implementing scheduled instrumental music sessions to create a more comfortable workenvironment, which can improve employees' mental well-being and overall organizationalperformance.
