Abstract

The Community empowerment is an effort to provide strength and capability to the community to become self-sufficient and develop their potential. It is an effort to help the community improve their quality of life, whether in terms of religion, economy, or social aspects. One way of serving the community is through empowering them with Islamic religious activities. Community empowerment through Islamic religion in the Tihu Village, Teluk Ambon District, Maluku Province aims to increase religious awareness, strengthen religious values, develop skills, increase tolerance, and improve the welfare of the community. This community service activity is carried out by providing understanding and experience of Islamic religion that aligns with the values of goodness and truth. Community empowerment through Islamic religious activities is carried out through preaching, guidance, or religious counseling. Through these activities, 70% of the participants already understand and can implement worship activities, especially in anticipation of the holy month of Ramadan. Therefore, community empowerment through Islamic religious activities needs to be continually encouraged and developed in building a peaceful and prosperous community harmony.

Abstract

Case Based Learning is interpreted as case-based learning in which students are considered to have prior knowledge in solving related cases. As a form of initial knowledge, technology-based teaching materials were developed integrated with Google Site. Through this teaching material, students can use it as initial knowledge before case-based learning is implemented or improved. The development of teaching materials is carried out through the ADDIE model (analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation). Followed by data collection through questionnaires and interviews and analyzed descriptively qualitative. Teaching materials developed with integration into the google site system in the socio-cultural power science course from material expert evaluations with a percentage of 82% and 84% media expert evaluations, this means that the material and media are suitable for use. Furthermore, the feasibility of googel site-based teaching material products from the trial obtained a feasibility percentage of 86%. The use of google site-based teaching materials can be used as an alternative in supporting the effectiveness of case-based learning. This is supported by the accompanying impact in the form of understanding technology-based learning, learning independence, and critical thinking skills.

Abstract

Strengthening knowledge and disaster preparedness for students, teachers, and the wider community can be achieved through community service activities packaged in the form of national seminars. This seminar is an educational and collaborative forum that brings together various related parties to share knowledge, experiences, and disaster mitigation strategies. Through this community service activity, geography learning becomes more relevant and applicable. Not only does it increase understanding of disaster mitigation, this seminar also builds community capacity in dealing with disasters, and encourages active participation of all parties in creating a safer and more sustainable environment. This community service activity was carried out in three stages: 1) Material solidification, 2) Q&A discussion, 3) Evaluation. The community service conducted through a resource person at the national seminar on geography education organized by the Master of Geography Education Study Program at Padang State University provides an overview of the integration of processes and projects that can be done to improve understanding of disaster mitigation through geography learning. This includes projects such as identification of disaster locations in the selection of materials, socialization in collaboration with related parties, simulations in schools, or through the development of learning media.

Abstract

The integration of technology in the learning process remains a significant challenge, especially in remote areas like SMA Negeri 4 Seram Bagian Timur. Limited infrastructure and low technological literacy among teachers have led to a lack of innovation in delivering learning materials. This activity aims to improve digital literacy and skills in creating technology-based learning media using Canva. The partner in this activity is SMA Negeri 4 Seram Bagian Timur, targeting 28 students and 1 teacher. The implementation of the activity is carried out in three stages: preparation, implementation, and evaluation. In the preparation stage, materials and tools are prepared. The implementation involves direct training using a Knowledge Transfer approach and the Community Development Model. The training sessions include an introduction to Canva, a workshop on creating media, and mentoring in the design process. Evaluation is done through pre-tests, post-tests, and response questionnaires. The results showed an average post-test score increase to 84.82 from 63.75 in the pre-test. The N-Gain analysis indicated a 57.82% improvement. Recommendations from this activity include the need for ongoing support for infrastructure and advanced technology training so that the skills gained can be consistently applied in the learning process

Abstract

The use of artificial intelligence (AI) technology in education offers significant potential for enhancing the quality of learning and teaching efficiency. This study aims to evaluate AI-based teaching material development training using Kelas Ajaib on the Canva application, provided to 40 teachers at SMP Negeri 1 Ambon. The methods used included a workshop approach and interactive simulations, designed to improve teachers' competence in designing technology-based teaching media. The evaluation results showed that participants' enthusiasm reached 85%, while satisfaction levels were 86%, indicating a positive response to the training. However, competence levels in developing teaching media only reached 75%, indicating the need for additional mentoring and improved technological infrastructure. The main obstacles identified included hardware limitations and adaptation to new technology. Recommendations include further training, increased technical support, and the strengthening of school infrastructure. The implications of this training highlight the importance of collaboration among educational stakeholders to ensure the sustainability and effectiveness of AI technology implementation in teaching. Further research is recommended to evaluate the long-term impact of this training on teaching quality and student engagement.

Abstract

The Merdeka Curriculum brings a paradigm of perspective in learning in education. Learning is directed towards the potential and characteristics of the learner. This approach in the curriculum is a form of preparation for the nation's successors to be able to face the real facts in the field. This study aims to examine and analyze social studies learning in the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum in Indonesia. The method used in this writing is a literature study with a systematic review. Systematic review is used to determine the condition of various research related to social studies learning in the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum in Indonesia. A total of 31 data taken from the Google Scholar database which has been refined with 4 stages (Identification, Screening, Eligibility, and Included). The results of this writing can be written in several points in planning social studies learning in the independent curriculum, teachers prepare relevant modules and designs to guide students to think critically and contextually, in implementation using relevant models and strategies, in assessment used at the beginning and during the learning process to achieve the goals or competencies of learning, the character of students appears through integration into planning, culture and habits and even teachers as role models, the use of relevant teaching materials and materials to develop social problem solving skills and the use of media in improving quality and increasing active and participatory abilities, in its implementation is constrained by teacher readiness, human resources, and technology use.

Abstract

This study evaluates the productivity and economic feasibility of cultivating Clitoria ternatea L. using three planting systems: monoculture, intercropping with Zea mays L., and intercropping with Oryza sativa L. The research, conducted on sustainable agricultural land without the use of synthetic fertilizers or pesticides, aims to assess the impact of intercropping on the productivity of telang flower and the associated economic benefits. The results show that monoculture produced the highest productivity at 11.3 ± 0.6 grams per plant, which was significantly higher than the intercropping systems, where the productivity of telang flower was 8.7 ± 0.3 grams with corn and 7.6 ± 0.2 grams with rice. Statistical analysis using Tukey HSD test revealed significant differences between monoculture and the intercropping treatments (p < 0.05). Although the productivity was lower, intercropping with corn proved to be more economically beneficial, generating a net income of Rp 5.7 per plant, with a benefit-cost ratio (BCR) of 1.63 and a return on investment (ROI) of 163%, compared to monoculture which produced a net income of Rp 4.5 per plant, BCR of 1.50, and ROI of 150%. In contrast, intercropping with rice yielded the lowest economic benefit, with a net income of Rp 4.7 per plant and a BCR of 1.24. These findings suggest that, although intercropping with corn results in lower productivity, this system is more economically profitable and may be a better choice for enhancing income and land use efficiency in sustainable agriculture.

Abstract

Pendidikan kebencanaan merupakan hal penting terutama bagi negara seperti indonesia. Pendidikan kebencanaan diimplementasikan salah satu melalui pembelajaran geografi, pembelajarn geografi tersedia pendidikan mitigasi bencana sebagai arah dalam pembentukan karakter peduli lingkungan dan lainya. salah satu bentuk implementasi yakni melalui projek pelajar pencasila Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan penelitian kajian teoritis yang bertujuan untuk menegaskan pentingnya pembelajaran geografi dalam mendukung implementasi projek pelajar pancasila. Metodologi kajian teoritis merupakan pendekatan yang berfokus pada penelaahan, analisis, dan sintesis literatur serta teori-teori yang relevan untuk membangun kerangka konseptual yang kuat dalam suatu penelitian Pembelajaran geografi memiliki peran yang sangat krusial dalam memberikan pemahaman yang mendalam tentang risiko bencana yang dihadapi oleh Indonesia, Implementasi Projek Pelajar Pancasila merupakan inisiatif strategis yang bertujuan untuk mengintegrasikan nilai-nilai Pancasila ke dalam pendidikan sehari-hari, sehingga membentuk karakter siswa yang berintegritas, berdaya saing, dan mampu berkontribusi positif bagi bangsaimplementasi Projek Pelajar Pancasila merupakan upaya untuk menciptakan lingkungan belajar yang tidak hanya fokus pada pencapaian akademis, tetapi juga pada pembentukan karakter dan keterampilan hidup yang esensial. Oleh karenanya dalam pengembangan projek pancasila berbasis pada pembelajaran geografi diperlukan kreativitas dalam perencanaan, pelekasnaan, dan evaluasi pembelajaran.

Abstract

The implementation of island-based learning at SMP Negeri 1 Ambon aims to improve the quality of education in accordance with the local geographical and cultural characteristics. This community service develops a contextual Geography learning strategy by utilizing technology to enhance student engagement and understanding. The methods include planning, development, implementation, and evaluation through collaborative action research involving lecturers, students, teachers, and pupils. The ICARE learning model is applied alongside information and communication technology and the integration of local culture. As a result, island-based learning improves students’ understanding of the material, motivation, and engagement, while strengthening their connection with the surrounding environment. ICT-based media such as interactive digital maps and geospatial applications effectively facilitate local geographic concepts, while game-based learning adds enjoyment and student activity. However, challenges related to technological infrastructure and teacher training need to be addressed to ensure the program’s sustainability. Overall, this community service significantly contributes to strengthening the quality and relevance of Geography learning at SMP Negeri 1 Ambon in accordance with island conditions

Abstract

The development of artificial intelligence technology, particularly deep learning, provides significant opportunities to enhance the effectiveness of Geography learning. This socialization activity was conducted at SMA Negeri 3 Ambon City to equip teachers with the ability to integrate deep learning into the learning process to make it more engaging and adaptive to students’ needs. The method used was a participatory approach through theoretical sessions, practical application, interactive discussions, and questionnaire-based evaluation. Results showed that 88% of participants displayed high enthusiasm, 85% improved their understanding, and 78% felt ready to apply the technology in teaching. The activity demonstrated that practice-based training effectively enhances teachers’ competence in the digital era. It implies that such programs should be promoted as models for strengthening teacher professionalism through the integration of modern learning technologies in secondary education.
