Abstract

The shift in curriculum policy in Indonesia towards the Merdeka Curriculum emphasizes the importance of contextual and meaningful learning, one of which is implemented through the Pancasila Student Profile Reinforcement Project (P5). This study aims to evaluate the extent to which the implementation of P5 influences the character and creativity of students at SMAS Adabiah 2 Padang. The method used is descriptive quantitative, with data collected through questionnaires distributed to 10th-grade students. The collected data were analyzed using Microsoft Excel and SPSS. The results show that the P5 project has a significant impact on shaping students' character and enhancing their creativity. The percentage for character and creativity indicators reached 87%, indicating a positive influence. Thus, the P5 initiative has been proven to contribute significantly to the development of student character and creativity at SMAS Adabiah 2 Padang.

Abstract

The development of student worksheet for biology learning needs to be done so that the biology learning process can run more optimally. This study aims to identify the need for Project Based Learning (PjBL)-based student worksheet's with socioscientific content, which will be developed as teaching materials to support the optimization of biology learning, especially in the material on environmental change and conservation. The method used in this research is qualitative, with a descriptive approach. The subjects used were 35 students of class 10.E7 of State Senior High School number 2 Padang Panjang. Data collection was carried out in three ways, namely observation of the school, surveys of students, and in-depth interviews with teachers. The instruments used are questionnaires and interview sheets. Through data collection, the results showed that Project-based learning has been implemented. However, there is no student worksheet with a project-based learning model with socioscientific content, especially on the material of environmental change and preservation. Therefore, it is necessary to develop PjBL-based student worksheets with socioscientific content on the material of environmental change and preservation in the Senior High School E phase. Abstract

ThisPstudy waspconducted to determineethe extent to whichhthe use of Gemini AI in designing biology projects can influence student creativity in project-based learningm(PBL) at the highsschool level. Theeresearch method used was a quasi-experimentalmmodel with a Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design. The study population was all students of grade X PhasmE at SMA Negeri 1 Lubuk Alung. The sample consisted of two classes: X.E1 as the control group with 36 students, and X.E3 as the experimental group with 35 students. The research instrument was a creativity questionnaire. Data analysis was carried out using a t-test and obtained a significanceevalue of 0.02 which isssmaller than 0.05, indicating a significant difference between groups. In conclusion, the useeof Gemini AIlin the planning stage of biology projects has beenpproven topsignificantly increase student creativity.

Abstract

Poverty literacy is an important ability in supporting the achievement of sustainable development goals (SDGs), which includes aspects of knowledge, knowledge skills, and mindset. This study aims to analyze the literacy of the arrival of phase E students on biotechnology issues at SMAN 12 Padang. This study is a descriptive study with a quantitative approach. The sampling technique for this study was carried out randomly using a simple random sampling technique. The research sample consisted of 196 students spread from Phase E1 to Phase E11. The instrument used was a multiple-choice test question related to biotechnology issues that referred to the desire literacy indicator. The results of this study indicate that the literacy of the arrival of students at SMAN 12 Padang is classified as very low at 51.80%. Based on the analysis of the interest literacy aspect, it can be seen that in the knowledge aspect there is a value of 45.04%, in the knowledge skills aspect with a value of 60.40%, and the mindset aspect with a value of 53.23%. Therefore, it can be concluded that the desire literacy of students in Phase E at SMAN 12 Padang is still very low.

Abstract

This research aims to develop an e-booklet with an Emotional Spiritual Quotient (ESQ) theme on human reproductive system material for high school/Islamic high school students in Phase F. The development was carried out using the 4D model (Define, Design, Develop, Disseminate) with the dissemination stage not realized due to constraints in available time and budget. The background of the research is the low strengthening of character, especially emotional and spiritual intelligence, in biology learning. The product was validated by two Biology lecturers and one Biology teacher, while practicality was tested by one teacher and 30 Phase F students at SMAN 1 Lubuk Basung. The results of this study show that the validity score reached 94.93% (very valid) and the average practicality score was 95.92% (very practical).

Abstract

Education plays an important role in preparing students to face the challenges of the 21st century, one of which is through improving scientific literacy. However, the results of a pre-research questionnaire showed that 70.1% of phase E students at SMAN 1 Pangkalan Koto Baru rarely read materials or work on questions based on scientific literacy, and 50.5% of students had never heard of the term scientific literacy. This has impacted students’ low ability to explain scientific phenomena and interpret data scientifically. Therefore, learning innovations are needed, such as the application of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model assisted by color coding to improve students’ scientific literacy skills, particularly on the topic of environmental change. This research is quantitative research with an experimental design using a Randomized Control-Group Posttest Only Design. The study population consisted of all phase E students at SMAN 1 Pangkalan, with a sample of two classes randomly selected. The experimental class received treatment using the PBL model assisted by color coding, while the control class used a conventional learning model. Data were collected through a scientific literacy ability posttest and analyzed using normality tests, homogeneity tests, and hypothesis testing. The results showed that the implementation of the Problem Based Learning model assisted by color coding had a significant effect on improving students’ scientific literacy skills. This is indicated by the average posttest score of the experimental class, which was 79.43, higher than that of the control class, which was 68.22. This study concludes that the PBL model assisted by color coding is effective in improving the scientific literacy skills of phase E students on the topic of environmental change at SMAN 1 Pangkalan.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the level of sustainability literacy of Phase E students on the issue of viruses at SMAN 1 Batang Anai. The method used is descriptive quantitative with a sample of 179 students selected through simple random sampling. The data in this study were obtained through the results of a test instrument in the form of multiple-choice questions (objective) arranged based on aspects of sustainability literacy. These test questions have been tested and proven to meet the validity criteria. The results show that the level of sustainability literacy of students in the knowledge aspect is in the medium category (60.68%), the knowledge-skills aspect (57.43%) is in the low category and the mindset aspect (58.47%) is in the low category. Thus, it can be concluded that the level of sustainability literacy of Phase E students on the issue of viruses at SMAN 1 Batang Anai is still in the low category.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the need for developing an augmented reality-assisted booklet on viruses for high school students with diverse learning styles. The methods used are descriptive qualitative and descriptive quantitative. Data were collected through interviews with teachers, distributing learning style identification questionnaires, and analyzing student needs. The results showed that 84.8% of students experienced difficulties in understanding the virus material. These difficulties were caused by the abstract and complex nature of the material (38.1%) and the difficulty in relating the material to everyday life (29.5%). In addition, students wanted learning materials that were interesting and efficient (60%), utilized technology in learning (43.8%), and were able to support various learning styles. The results of this study are very necessary and serve as the basis for developing an augmented reality-assisted booklet on viruses for high school students with diverse learning styles.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the need for e-module development using the Universal Design for Learning (UDL) approach on the human excretory system material for inclusive high school students. The type of research used is descriptive quantitative. Data collection techniques were carried out by interviewing Biology teachers, administering a learning style identification questionnaire, and administering a questionnaire for analyzing the needs of teaching materials development. The research subjects consisted of biology teachers and inclusive students of grade XI. Based on observations and questionnaires at SMAN 1 Sungayang, it was found that inclusive students (regular students and students with special needs) face various obstacles in learning biology, especially for physically disabled students. These obstacles include limited adaptive teaching materials, the dominance of textbooks, and diverse learning styles that have not been facilitated. The results of the interviews showed that inclusive students need flexible teaching materials and support independent learning. Based on the learning style identification questionnaire, students have diverse learning styles. Most have visual learning styles (14%), auditory (9%), kinesthetic (2%), and combined (75%). The results of the needs analysis show that (87%) students experienced difficulties in learning Biology, including choosing material on the human excretory system, namely (31%). A total of 69% of students stated they had never used an e-module with a UDL approach. However, 100% of students agreed with the development of a UDL-based e-module. The analysis indicates that research is needed on the development of a Universal Design for Learning (UDL)-based e-module that can present material flexibly, visually, interactively, and inclusively.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis efektivitas e-modul sebagai media pembelajaran biologi melalui kajian literatur terhadap sepuluh artikel terbitan 2019–2024. Konten e-modul yang dikaji umumnya memadukan teks, ilustrasi, animasi, video, serta latihan soal kontekstual sehingga mampu memvisualisasikan konsep biologi yang abstrak dan sulit diamati secara langsung. Berbagai model pengembangan digunakan, seperti ADDIE, 4D, Problem Based Learning (PBL), dan literasi sains, untuk memastikan penyajian materi sistematis dan relevan dengan kebutuhan belajar abad ke-21. Hasil validasi ahli materi, media, dan bahasa menunjukkan kategori sangat valid (rata-rata >90%), sementara uji kepraktisan oleh guru dan siswa menunjukkan kategori sangat praktis (umumnya >89%). Penerapan e-modul terbukti meningkatkan hasil belajar yang diukur melalui N-Gain, memperkuat keterampilan berpikir kritis, menumbuhkan motivasi, serta mendukung kemandirian belajar. Fleksibilitas akses e-modul memungkinkan penerapannya pada pembelajaran tatap muka, jarak jauh, maupun hybrid tanpa mengurangi efektivitasnya. Dengan demikian, e-modul menjadi media pembelajaran yang adaptif, inovatif, dan relevan untuk meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran biologi di era digital.
