Abstract

Problem solving ability is the ability of learners to use their own thinking process to solve problems by gathering facts, analysing information, summarising various alternative solutions, and choosing the most effective solution to the problem. The results of the preliminary study of the problem solving skills of phase E students of SMAN 1 Padang are still in the category that needs improvement and the category that is lacking. One of the efforts to improve problem solving skills can be done by applying a project-based inquiry learning model. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of project-based inquiry learning model on problem solving skills of phase E students at SMAN 1 Padang. This research is a quasi experiment with pretest-posttest control group design. The population in the study was phase E students of SMAN 1 Padang. Sampling was done by purposive sampling technique. The results of the study obtained data on the value of problem solving skills of experimental class students higher than the control class. The results of hypothesis testing get the results of sig value < 0.05 which is 0.000 so it can be concluded that the project-based inquiry learning model has a positive effect on the problem solving skills of phase E students at SMAN 1 Padang on environmental change material.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the PBL model with a local wisdom approach on students' critical thinking skills. Local wisdom-based learning is also one of the efforts that teachers can make to introduce learning with a contextual approach that is full of real experiences while helping to maintain the noble values ​​of local wisdom in their area, which are very much needed by students. This study uses an experimental method with a randomized control-group pretest posttest design that compares the results of the Pretest and Posttest. From the research results, it can be seen that the hypothesis test shows a sig. (2-tailed) value <0.05, which is at 0.00. This proves that there is an increase in students' critical thinking skills after implementing problem-based learning (PBL) with a local wisdom approach. So from these results it can be shown that H1 is accepted, namely that the problem-based learning model with a local wisdom approach has a positive effect on students' critical thinking skills.

Abstract

This study aims to develop Student Worksheets (LKPD) based on Problem Based Learning (PBL) which are effective in improving students' critical thinking skills. The PBL method was chosen because it can encourage students to be actively involved in the learning process through solving real problems. This study uses the ADDIE model development approach, which includes analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The subjects of the study consisted of grade X students in a high school. Data were collected through observation, questionnaires, and critical thinking skills tests before and after the use of LKPD. The results showed that the use of PBL-based LKPD significantly improved students' critical thinking skills. These findings are expected to contribute to the development of more interactive and effective learning methods in the context of education.

Abstract

Pembelajaran Biologi memegang peranan penting dalam membentuk pemahaman konsep dasar kehidupan akan tetapi sering dianggap sulit, kurang menarik dan membosankan oleh peserta didik karena materinya sifat abstrak. Untuk mengatasi kesulitan ini digunakan model Problem Based Learning (PBL) yang efektif dalam meningkatkan pemahaman peserta didik. Integrasi PBL dengan media pembelajaran seperti video animasi dapat meningkatkan pembelajaran biologi. Analisis respon peserta didik terhadap pembelajaran ini penting untuk meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan, memungkinkan guru untuk menilai dan mengoptimalkan metode pembelajaran guna meningkatkan pemahaman dan keterlibatan peserta didik. Penelitian ini bersifat deskriptif dengan populasi peserta didik kelas XI SMA N 1 Sungai Penuh, dan menggunakan teknik Simple Random Sampling dengan 154 sampel. Data dikumpulkan melalui angket tertutup sebanyak 22 pertanyaan dan dianalisis dengan metode kuantitatif deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan respon positif terhadap model PBL berbantuan video animasi dengan persentase rata-rata 72,6% pada dimensi kognitif, afektif, dan konatif.

Abstract

The Teacher Professional Education (TPE) Program aims to train qualified teachers by providing structured training and learning programs through Field Experience Practice (EP), which was implemented in schools in two cycles: EP 1 and EP 2, using the Lesson Study format. Both cycles of EP involved 1 tutor teacher, 2 observer teachers, 1 supervising lecturer, and 5 TPE students. Each cycle goes through 3 phases: Plan, Do, and See. The results of profiling showed that the students' characteristics were kinesthetic and audio-visual. The learning model used is problem-based learning, and based on observations of independent learning activities and collaboration in completing their assignments, all deficiencies are addressed during reflection activities. In the final stage of the learning activities, each party involved in the Lesson Study activities obtained valuable lessons. The supervisors received insights to apply improvements to courses related to the TPE program

Abstract

The use of e-booklet media with Orangutan conservation content can provide deeper knowledge of conservation and can also add variety to biology learning, so as to increase students' awareness of animal and environmental conservation. This study aims to describe the need to develop electronic-based learning media with Orangutan Tapanuli conservation content as a learning supplement at SMAN 4 Padang. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach method, which involves collecting qualitative data and providing descriptive explanations. The research instruments are in the form of interview sheets with biology teachers and student questionnaires. The subjects of this study were 35 students of class X E 6 and Biology teachers at SMAN 4 Padang. Based on the results of the study, 85.7% of students agreed to use e-booklet learning media in learning. On the other hand, 91.4% of students also need conservation-based learning to increase their knowledge.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengkaji pengaruh penggunaan LKPD berbasis PBL yang terintegrasi dengan SSI terhadap literasi lingkungan peserta didik pada materi perubahan lingkungan di Fase E SMAN 2 Batang Anai. Saat ini, pemahaman peserta didik di sekolah tersebut tentang literasi lingkungan masih tergolong rendah. Penelitian ini mengadopsi metode eksperimen dengan desain eksperimen semu (quasi experiment). Populasi penelitian meliputi seluruh siswa kelas X Fase E SMAN 2 Batang Anai, dengan sampel terdiri dari kelas X E 2 dan X E 3. Data dikumpulkan melalui tes pilihan ganda yang diberikan dalam bentuk pretest pada awal penelitian dan posttest pada akhir penelitian. Analisis data dilakukan dengan menggunakan uji normalitas, uji homogenitas, dan uji hipotesis dengan bantuan perangkat lunak SPSS 26. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa literasi lingkungan peserta didik di kelas eksperimen lebih tinggi dibandingkan kelas kontrol. Uji hipotesis menunjukkan nilai signifikansi 2-tailed < 0,05, yaitu 0,00. Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa penggunaan LKPD berbasis PBL yang terintegrasi dengan SSI memberikan dampak positif terhadap literasi lingkungan peserta didik pada materi perubahan lingkungan di Fase E SMAN 2 Batang Anai

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengukur bagaimana efektivitas LKPD berbasis PjBL terintegrasi kearifan lokal terhadap kemampuan berpikir kreatif peserta didik pada materi bioteknologi Fase E SMAN 2 Lubuk Alung. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah eksperimen dengan desain eksperimen semu (quasi eksperimen). Populasi penelitian meliputi seluruh siswa kelas X fase E SMAN 2 Lubuk Alung. Sampel penelitian ini adalah kelas X E1 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas X E2 sebagai kelas kontrol. Data penelitian dikumpukan melalui instrumen tes essay yang diberikan dalam bentuk pretest dan posttest. Analisis data penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan uji normalitas, uji homgenitas dan uji hipotesis dengan bantuan aplikasi SPSS 20. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan berpikir kreatif peserta didik kelas eksperimen lebih tinggi daripada kelas kontrol. Hasil uji hipotesis menunjukkan nilai sig 2-tailed < 0.05 yaitu 0.01. Dapat disimpulkan LKPD berbasis PjBL terintegrasi kearifan lokal terbukti efektif dlam meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kreatif peserta didik pada materi bioteknologi fase E SMAN 2 Lubuk Alung.

Abstract

The shift in curriculum policy in Indonesia towards the Merdeka Curriculum emphasizes the importance of contextual and meaningful learning, one of which is implemented through the Pancasila Student Profile Reinforcement Project (P5). This study aims to evaluate the extent to which the implementation of P5 influences the character and creativity of students at SMAS Adabiah 2 Padang. The method used is descriptive quantitative, with data collected through questionnaires distributed to 10th-grade students. The collected data were analyzed using Microsoft Excel and SPSS. The results show that the P5 project has a significant impact on shaping students' character and enhancing their creativity. The percentage for character and creativity indicators reached 87%, indicating a positive influence. The Pearson correlation test showed a significance value of 0.000 < 0.05 with a correlation coefficient of 0.901, indicating a very strong relationship between P5 and both variables. The coefficient of determination (R²) revealed that 90.1% of the variation in students' character and creativity is influenced by the implementation of the project. Thus, the P5 initiative has been proven to contribute significantly to the development of student character and creativity at SMAS Adabiah 2 Padang.

Abstract

Artikel ini menganalisis urgensi pengembangan bahan ajar biologi yang terintegrasi model Search, Solve, Create, and Share (SSCS) guna mengatasi kesenjangan antara tuntutan kompetensi abad ke-21, khususnya dalam pemikiran analitis dan kreativitas, dengan kemampuan aktual peserta didik. Tujuan utama dari berbagai penelitian yang ditelaah adalah untuk merancang dan menguji kelayakan beragam media serta perangkat pembelajaran, yang semuanya mengintegrasikan model SSCS untuk mengasah keterampilan berpikir kritis dan kreatif dalam pembelajaran biologi. Metodologi yang diaplikasikan bervariasi, meliputi penelitian dan pengembangan (R&D) dengan model Borg dan Gall, Plomp, hingga ADDIE, seringkali dilengkapi dengan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif untuk analisis kebutuhan dan validasi ahli. Hasil konsisten dari seluruh riset ini mengindikasikan bahwa produk yang dikembangkan secara universal dinyatakan valid, praktis, dan beberapa di antaranya terbukti efektif dalam memfasilitasi peningkatan keterampilan yang dituju, seperti minat belajar, keterampilan proses sains, dan hasil belajar konseptual. Dengan demikian, implementasi bahan ajar inovatif berbasis SSCS tidak hanya responsif terhadap dinamika kurikulum, melainkan juga fundamental untuk menumbuhkan kemandirian dan daya nalar ilmiah pada generasi mendatang.
