Abstract

This training aims to improve the writing and publication of scientific articles originating from research and community service efforts carried out by educators at Madrasah Tsanawiyah and Madrasah Aliyah Aliyah Paringgonan in May 2025. This training involved 20 educators from both levels of education with the aim of increasing teacher competence in the formulation and dissemination of research-oriented scientific works based on classroom actions and community service initiatives. Instructional content includes methodologies for the composition of scientific articles, criteria for selecting appropriate journals, and strategies for publication on national and international platforms. Using instructional methods that include lectures, discussions, and practical exercises, participants gain valuable experience in compiling articles that are considered suitable for submission to scientific journals. The results of this training show a significant increase in participants' understanding of the structural components of scientific writing, in addition to the development of several article drafts as initial outputs. This training is anticipated to be a basic step in fostering a culture of academic writing and publication in the madrasah environment.

Abstract

This study sought to improve students' vocabulary acquisition by using English lagugu. To collect data, the researcher conducted Classroom Action Research (PTK) consisting of four stages: planning, action implementation, observation, and reflection. The research subjects were the seventh-grade students of SMP Muhammadiyah Sibabangun, totaling 25 students. This research was carried out around two cycles, namely the first cycle consisted of two meetings and the second cycle consisted of one meeting. Data collection instruments used vocabulary tests and questionnaire sheets. Based on the vocabulary test, students' scores continued to increase in each test. The students were given four stages of tests namely: pre-test I, pre-test II, post-test I, and post-test II. The students' pre-test I score totaled 880 and the mean score was 35.2%. The pre-test II score totaled 1105 and a mean score of 43.8%, the post-test I score totaled 1985 and a mean score of 79.4%. And students' post-test II scores total score 2115 and mean score 84.6%.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui jenis-jenis kesalahan yang dibuat oleh siswa, untuk mengetahui jenis-jenis kesalahan yang paling banyak terjadi oleh siswa, untuk mengetahui alasan mengapa siswa membuat kesalahan ketika mereka menulis teks recount. Metodologi penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode campuran. Teknik pengumpulan datanya adalah tes tertulis dan wawancara. Penulis menemukan seluruh kesalahan yang berjumlah 14. Kesalahan yang paling dominan adalah tanda baca sebesar 21,14%. Diikuti oleh kapitalisasi sebesar 18,12%. Sumber kesalahan yang ditemukan adalah kesalahan intralingual sebesar 88,21% dan kesalahan interlingual sebesar 11,78%. Peneliti juga menemukan mengapa siswa membuat kesalahan saat menulis teks recount. Hal ini disebabkan karena kosakata mereka kurang memadai dan kurang memahami simple past tense.

Abstract

The research’s aims explained speaking problems and speaking ability of students by implementing Story Telling Technique. This research used qualitative research method and 14 students of the Grade X of SMA Negeri 3 Padang Sidempuan. Instrument in collecting the data were interview and test. The finding of the research shows; Firstly, students’ problems in speaking before implementing the technique were: limited vocabulary, confused to pronounce the correct words, and difficult to understand what the speakers were said. Secondly, after implementing the technique, the students’ new vocabulary enrichment, had more experienced how to pronounce words correctly, and easier to understand what the speaker were saying.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui jenis-jenis kesalahan penggunaan tanda baca pada teks narasi dan faktor-faktor yang menyebabkan terjadinya kesalahan dalam menulis teks narasi pada siswa kelas X SMA Negeri 6 Padangsidimpuan. Peneliti fokus pada tanda baca, dimana peneliti membatasi beberapa tanda baca. Tanda baca yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah titik (.), koma (,), tanda Tanya (?), tanda seru (!), dan tanda kutip (”). Penelitian ini bersifat kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Populasi penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas X SMA Negeri 6 Padangsidimpuan.   Teknik yang digunakan adalah random sampling dimana peneliti mengambil 20 siswa dari kelas X. Peneliti menggunakan teks naratif sebagai instrumen penelitian berupa test menulis, kuesioner dan wawancara. Peneliti memberikan teks naratif yang tidak memiliki tanda baca. Berdasarkan analisis data, peneliti menemukan beberapa jenis kesalahan yang dilakukan siswa kelas X SMA Negeri 6 Padangsidimpuan, yaitu kesalahan pengurutan, penghilangan, dan penambahan tanda baca. Peneliti menunjukkan (1) titik dengan kesalahan 31,87%, (2) koma dengan kesalahan 32,19%, (3) tanda tanya dengan kesalahan 2,19%, (4) tanda seru dengan kesalahan 12,50%, dan (5) tanda kutip dengan kesalahan 21,25%. Peneliti menemukan bahwa keseluruhan koma dalam teks narasi merupakan kesalahan yang paling dominan dilakukan siswa, yaitu sebesar 32, 19%.

Abstract

Analisis Kesalahan Penggunaan Simple Present Tense dalam Teks Deskriptif Siswa Kelas VIII MTs Muhammadiyah 22 Padangsidimpuan ”. Tujuan skripsi ini adalah untuk menganalisa kesalahan siswa dalam penggunaan present tense pada paragraf deskriptif teks berdasarkan masalah yang diteliti, siswa merasa bingung dengan penggunaan present tense yang ada pada deskriptif teks. Skripsi ini metode kualitatif deskriptif . Objek penlitian skripsi ini adalah kelas VIIIA tahun ajaran 2021/2022 di MTs Muhammadiyah 22 Padangsidimpuan. Teknik pengumpulan data dengan menginstruksikan siswa untuk menulis teks deskriptif dengan tema tertentu. Data dianalisis menggunakan metode analisis deskriptif dan diklasifikasikan jenis kesalahan dan penulis memberikan cek di daftar periksa observasi. Dari hasil temuan di Lapangan peneliti menemukan ada empat jenis kesalahan yaitu : omission, addition, misformation, misodering. Kemudian, peneliti mengkaji dan menyimpulkan bahwa jumlah kesalahan yang tertinggi adalah misformation dengan hasil 37%. Hal ini dikarenakan oleh siswa merasa bingung untuk mentranslate kata dari Bahasa Indonesia ke Bahasa Inggris begitupun sebaliknya. Siswa juga tidak mengerti dalam penggunaan dan penempatan to be pada subjek yang dipilih. Siswa juga mengaku mereka jarang praktek untuk membuat paragraf dalam Bahasa Inggris.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menggambarkan hasil implementasi  pembelajaran online pada terhadap keterampilan mengkritik sastra oleh mahasiswa Program Studi Pendidikan Bahasa Indonesia. Penelitian ini dilaksakan selama 6 Bulan pada semester 5 tahun 2021. Objek penelitian adalah Mahasiswa Semester 5 Program studi pendidikan bahasa Indonesia yang berjumlah 28 mahsiswa. Metode penelitian Deskriptif, dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui servey dan wawancara dengan informan serta di ambil dari hasil pembelajaran mahasiswa. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian diketahui bahwa 75% implementasi nya berdampak positif pada peningkatan hasil pembelajaran mahasiswa dan 25% berdampak negatif.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the ability students to write descriptive text using online experimental model at grade XI students of SMA N 1 Batangtoru. To obtain research data, researcher used pre-test and post-test.Research data collection used quantitative methods, the data on the number of students’ in the class is 10 students’. The result of the researcher showed that SMA N 1 Batangtoru accepted and used online experimental model well at school.To collected the data, the researcher was used classroom action research that consist of planing, acting, observing, and reflecting. Based on the analyzed, it can be found that (1) the scores students’ writing descriptive text before by using online experimental model at grade XI SMA N 1Batangtoru is 55,5 (2) the scores students’ writing descriptive text after by using online experimental model at grade XI SMA N 1 Batangtoru is 74,00, (3) writing difficulties descriptive text.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the representation of speaking ability and grammarThe sample of this study was students in five high schools (SMA) in Padangsidimpuan, with a sampling technique by using cluster random sampling. This research is a correlation research with descriptive quantitative data collection techniques. The tool used in this study is speaking performance rubric to measure students' speaking ability, while to measure students' vocabulary mastery using the multiple choice test.  To analyze the data in this study, the author used descriptive statistics (individual score, mean score) and inferential statistics (pearson product moment correlation) to calculate variables of vocabulary mastery and speaking skills. The results of this study represented that for the level of vocabulary and speaking achievement of students was at a good level. Researchers also found that there was a positive correlation between vocabulary mastery and students' speaking ability with a correlation significance of 0.943. The correlation is classified as a close correlation, meaning that the two variables have a strong correlation. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the representation of students' speaking ability and vocabulary mastery is positively correlated, meaning that the highest level of vocabulary mastery then the level of speaking is also high. Therefore, teachers who play a role in controlling students in the teaching and learning process are also important to know the improvement of vocabulary and speaking ability.

Abstract

This research aims to find out the effectiveness of the use of Audio-Visual method in enriching the vocabulary of students at grade VII MTs Muhammadiyah 04 Sibolga. The methods in this research are quantitative methods using pre-experimental designs as well as one group pre-test and post-test. The subject of this research is a student of seventh grade who has only one class. The sample of this research involved 24 students. The instruments used in this research include pre-test, post-test and questionnaire. The results of this research show that the total pre-test average is 50,83 which is categorized as “poor”, while the post-test mean is 79,16 and is categorised as “good”. Based on data analysis, t-count values are higher than t-table values (11,737>2,012), meaning there is a significant difference. Therefore, H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted. The results of the questionnaire showed that the average percentage score of the questionnaire was 85.83% and was classified into the “very good” criteria. It shows that students positively responded to the Audio-Visual method. This research concludes that Audio-Visual method is effective to enrich students’ vocabulary.
