Abstract

Fatherless adalah kondisi ketika seorang ayah tidak hadir dalam kehidupan seorang anak. Fenomena ini sedang ramai dibahas di media sosial, sehingga meningkatkan kesadaran masyarakat akan pentingnya peran ayah. Salah satu konten kreator parenting dengan perspektif ayah adalah Babehnya Seiji (@babeheji). Akun Instagram ini menampilkan kesehariannya sebagai ayah yang aktif dalam pengasuhan anak, menarik perhatian banyak masyarakat sekaligus memicu pro-kontra. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui penerimaan Generasi Z terhadap peran ayah dalam parenting melalui konten akun @babeheji, serta bagaimana mereka menafsirkan dan memaknai konten tersebut dalam konteks nilai-nilai pengasuhan keluarga. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan metode analisis resepsi Stuart Hall. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara mendalam dan observasi, kemudian dianalisis menggunakan model analisis interaktif Miles dan Huberman. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa mayoritas informan menerima konsep peran ayah dalam pengasuhan, meskipun ada yang masih tergolong dalam posisi negosiasi akibat keterbatasan waktu ayah bersama anak. Babeh Eji menjadi inspirasi parenting modern bagi Generasi Z, mengubah peran ayah dari sekadar pencari nafkah menjadi aktif dalam pengasuhan anak.  Fatherless is a condition when a father is not present in a child's life. This phenomenon is being widely discussed on social media, increasing public awareness of the importance of fathers. One parenting content creator with a father's perspective is Babehnya Seiji (@babeheji). This Instagram account displays his daily life as a father who is active in childcare, attracting the attention of many people while triggering pros and cons. This study aims to determine Generation Z's acceptance of the role of fathers in parenting through the content of the @babeheji account, as well as how they interpret and interpret the content in the context of family parenting values. This research uses a descriptive qualitative approach with Stuart Hall's reception analysis method. Data were collected through in-depth interviews and observations, then analyzed using the Miles and Huberman interactive analysis model. The results showed that the majority of informants accepted the concept of the father's role in parenting, although some were still in a negotiation position due to the limited time of the father with the child. Babeh Eji is an inspiration for modern parenting for Generation Z, changing the role of fathers from mere breadwinners to being active in childcare.

Abstract

Penelitian ini berguna untuk mengungkap maksud dan makna pada wacana pendidikan yang dimuat dalam podcast Malaka Project berjudul “Guru Gembul: Pendidikan Kita Berorientasi pada Kemunafikan | Malaka Podcast”. Podcast ini mengungkap berbagai macam ironi pada pendidikan di Indonesia, seperti manipulasi terhadap nilai, ketidakjelasan arah pendidikan, serta ketimpangan antara tujuan pendidikan dengan praktik di lapangan. Peneliti menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan model Analisis Wacana Kritis milik Van Dijk, sehingga menganalisis dimensi teks, kognisi sosial, dan konteks sosial yang terbentuk pada wacana tersebut. Teknik pengambilan data yang dipakai oleh peneliti menggunakan teknik simak dan catat. Hasil dari penelitian menandakan bahwa wacana yang dibangun melalui struktur makro bertema besar kemunafikan dalam pendidikan, didukung struktur mikro yang memanfaatkan gaya bahasa retoris, idiomatik, serta penggunaan sintaksis yang aktif. Narasi terhadap kritik yang disampaikan berpusat pada pengalaman pribadi narasumber dan data empiris seperti hasil PISA dan praktik manipulatif dalam penilaian di pendidikan. Dimensi kognisi sosial ditemukan bahwa pemahaman dan ideologi narasumber turut membentuk isi wacana, sedangkan konteks sosial memperlihatkan peran kekuasaan media digital, terutama Malaka Project dan figur publik yang mendukungnya, dalam pembentukan kritik pendidikan kepada publik. Penelitian ini menegaskan bahwa podcast merupakan media efektif dalam membentuk opini kritis masyarakat terhadap sistem pendidikan di Indonesia. Abstract

Program pengabdian masyarakat ini dilaksanakan melalui kegiatan Kuliah Kerja Nyata Tematik (KKN-T) dengan pendekatan Eco Pesantren di Pondok Pesantren Baitul Hikmah, Jember. Program ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan santri dan pengurus pondok melalui pelatihan pertanian organik di lahan terbatas, pembuatan pupuk dan eco enzyme, pelatihan kewirausahaan berbasis branding UMKM dan strategi pemasaran 7P, pelatihan public speaking, digitalisasi manajemen keuangan menggunakan Excel, serta difusi iptek dalam bentuk desain gate pesantren berbasis eco design. Metode pelaksanaan melibatkan pelatihan, pendidikan masyarakat, konsultasi, dan difusi iptek. Evaluasi dilakukan melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi praktik peserta. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan dalam keterampilan bertani, kemampuan desain dan pemasaran, literasi komunikasi publik, serta pengelolaan keuangan secara digital. Selain itu, desain visual gate pondok memberikan kontribusi nyata dalam penguatan identitas pesantren yang ramah lingkungan. Kegiatan ini membuktikan bahwa integrasi metode aplikatif dan kolaboratif mampu meningkatkan kualitas pesantren. Keberlanjutan program sangat disarankan melalui pendampingan mandiri oleh pengurus pesantren dan sistem monitoring lanjutan.

Abstract

This study aims to examine how Hardcore music is utilized by the Surabaya Hardcore Community (SBHC) as a medium of social criticism and a form of resistance against various forms of domination, including those exerted by the state, institutions, and mainstream culture. As a subculture, Hardcore music has evolved not only as a form of musical expression but also as a symbolic act of defiance against dominant values perceived as oppressive.This research employs a qualitative approach using ethnographic methods, including in-depth interviews, participant observation, and focus group discussions, to understand the cultural practices, symbolic meanings, and social dynamics within the SBHC community.The findings indicate that Hardcore music plays a crucial role in shaping the community’s collective identity and in conveying socio-political messages. Lyrics addressing issues such as social injustice, oppression, poverty, and critiques of capitalism serve as key tools for voicing dissent and building collective awareness. Moreover, the SBHC community demonstrates strong solidarity through various social and collaborative activities, utilizing music as a means to strengthen social ties and expand networks of resistance.Music is not merely regarded as a form of entertainment, but as a powerful medium of cultural communication to express resistance, advocate for alternative values, and challenge the hegemony of popular culture. This study highlights how music subcultures like Hardcore provide a significant articulatory space for the pursuit of freedom of expression and social justice.

Abstract

The 2024 Indonesian presidential election, won by the Prabowo Subianto–Gibran Rakabuming Raka ticket, marked the beginning of the implementation of massive budget efficiency policies. One of the impacts was the blocking of the budget for a strategic national project, namely the construction of the new capital city, Nusantara (IKN), which sparked public debate and became the focus of online media. Given that media plays a vital role in shaping public perception and opinion, this study aims to analyze how media framing is conducted by Detik.com and Tempo.co in framing the issue of the IKN budget freeze. This study uses the framing model proposed by Zhongdang Pan and Gerald M. Kosicki, which includes four main elements: syntax, script, thematic, and rhetorical. The method used is qualitative descriptive with a constructivist paradigm, which views social reality as the result of intersubjective construction. Data was collected through an analysis of news articles published by Detik.com and Tempo.co between February 6 and 27, 2025, focusing on the issue of the IKN budget freeze. The results of the study indicate that Tempo.co employs a critical framing strategy, emphasizing fiscal uncertainty, environmental impacts, and inconsistencies in government policy. Meanwhile, Detik.com tends to present an informative and administrative frame, emphasizing the continuity of development and clarifications from state authorities. These framing differences indicate distinct editorial orientations between the two media outlets. These findings confirm that framing and agenda setting are not only influenced by objective facts but also by ideological preferences and structural interests inherent in the media institutions themselves.

Abstract

This study explores self-disclosure among adolescents who experience dysfunctional family dynamics due to parental infidelity, specifically in the cultural context of Lamongan, Indonesia. The research highlights how adolescents negotiate personal boundaries in sharing their emotional experiences within interpersonal relationships. Using a qualitative descriptive approach, the study involved in-depth interviews with seven adolescents aged 17–22 who have experienced direct or indirect consequences of parental infidelity. Findings reveal that adolescents tend to be selective in their self-disclosure, particularly when interacting with new acquaintances. In early interactions, they only share surface-level information such as the number of family members or parents' occupations, avoiding emotionally sensitive topics. The study shows that emotional closeness significantly influences the depth of information shared adolescents disclose more when trust and empathy are present in a relationship. Furthermore, digital media has emerged as an alternative space for self-disclosure. Some informants report greater comfort in sharing personal stories with strangers online than with close friends in real life, due to perceived anonymity and lower emotional risk. However, this behavior also poses risks related to privacy and misuse of information. The research emphasizes that self-disclosure is a gradual and context-dependent process shaped by interpersonal trust, emotional safety, and the communicative medium used. This study contributes to the understanding of adolescent psychological resilience and the role of communication in emotional recovery from family crises, highlighting the importance of creating supportive environments both offline and online.

Abstract

Kemlagi village is one of honey-producing village in Mojokerto, East Java, that has not been paid much attention to by the local government, both in terms of potential and marketing strategy. The involvement of housewives in the marketing sector of the Kemlagi village honey business has not been seen. This community service aims to increase women's empowerment in the social media marketing sector so that business development and community income occur. This community service has two focus activities, namely Instagram marketing training and basic photography training. The presenters of this event were a team from the Communication Science study program of the Universitas Pembangunan Nasional (UPN) "Veteran" and the Universitas Muhammadiyah Sidoarjo. The target participants for this event are women in Kemlagi village, Mojokerto who run a business selling honey and its products. A total of 30 mothers participated in this training event. The training event consisted of opening, opening remarks, Instagram marketing and basic photography materials, questions and answers and closing. After the event, an evaluation of the benefits and participants' understanding of this training material was carried out. The long-term goal of this training is that the home business of the Kemlagi village is getting more advanced and its potential is getting more and more optimized. It is hoped that this home business will develop so that in the future Kemlagi village can develop into a honey edutourism area in East Java.

Abstract

In this day seeing men wearing cosmetics is no longer a novelty. Makeup is not just for beautifying women. The genderless beauty advertising concept used by BarenBliss "Gabriel Prince as a Makeup Muse" is an idea that goes against the stereotype of all beauty or self-care products always sticking to one gender, namely women. Descriptive qualitative research using the theory of individual differences. Research data was obtained through interviews with informants. The results of this study show different perceptions, namely that the advertisement is new and dares to appear different from other advertisements because it uses a male model in the advertisement, while other informants consider that this advertisement is not suitable if played by a male model. informants have the opinion that the form of masculinity in the advertisement can be seen from the concept of the advertisement that makes Gabriel Prince as a male model dare to take different steps by using makeup. The masculinity depicted in the BarenBliss advert is also seen through the style of dress. However, one informant disagreed with the masculinity in the advert because makeup is identic with women. These perceptions are created because young men and young women are influenced by different backgrounds, knowledge, experiences, and lifestyles.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana persepsi konsumen perempuan Scarlett whitening pada konten Instagram @zaskiadyamecca selaku brand ambassador pasca kontroversi dugaan pro Israel yang terjadi. Melalui media sosial, informasi dapat tersebar dengan cepat termasuk salah satunya adalah kontroversi dugaan pro Israel yang tengah hangat dibicarakan oleh banyak orang. Penggunaan brand ambassador sebagai salah satu orang yang memiliki pengaruh di media sosial terutama Instagram juga menjadi salah satu faktor pendukung untuk dapat membantu mengembalikan kepercayaan konsumen dan merubah persepsi mereka. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif kualitatif yang memiliki tujuan untuk mengkaji, menjelaskan, dan mendeskripsikan secara mendalam mengenai fenomena yang sedang terjadi. Data dari penelitian dikumpulkan melalui wawancara mendalam dengan 8 informan terpilih sesuai kriteria yang telah ditentukan melalui teknik purposive sampling. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang dilakukan dengan kedelapan informan terdapat berbagai macam persepsi dari masing-masing konsumen terkait kontroversi dugaan pro Israel yang terjadi. Dari hal tersebut, adanya konten instagram yang diunggah oleh @zaskiadyamecca pasca kontroversi dugaan pro Israel pada brand Scarlett Whitening menimbulkan perubahan persepsi dari masing-masing konsumen baik yang sebelumnya turut melakukan boikot maupun tidak.Kata kunci: Persepsi, Kontroversi Pro Israel, Brand Ambassador, Konsumen, dan Instagram
