Abstract

Training on developing differentiation-based learning tools for MGMP IPA Makassar City aims to improve science teachers' competence in preparing teaching modules and learner worksheets (LKPD). This training included 20 science teachers who were members of the Makassar City Science MGMP. This activity occurred in December 2024 at the FMIPA Campus of Makassar State University. The Differentiated Science Inquiry (DSI) learning model is the focus of development by implementing four levels of inquiry: Demonstrated Inquiry, Structured Inquiry, Guided Inquiry, and Self-Directed Inquiry. The methods applied in the training include material delivery, training in the preparation of tools, and evaluation of training results. The evaluation results showed a significant increase in science teachers' understanding of aspects of the preparation of LKPDs dan modules, including understanding differentiated learning, DSI learning models, and the characteristics of LPDs and teaching modules. The training participants also showed enthusiasm and gave positive feedback regarding the methods and materials presented. Thus, this training can increase teacher creativity in developing flexible science learning tools that fit students' needs to support the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum.

Abstract

This Classroom Action Research aims to improve the biology learning outcomes of class X students of SMA Nasional Makassar through the application of the Inside Outside Circle (IOC) learning model on the classification of living things. The subjects of this study were class X students totaling 36 students. Data collection techniques were carried out by observing learning and learning outcomes tests at the end of each cycle. Data on student learning outcomes were collected through learning outcomes tests and then analyzed descriptively. The results showed an increase in student learning outcomes in cycle I with 47.23% to 77.78% in cycle II. This achievement shows that the IOC model can improve the biology learning outcomes of class X students of SMA Nasional Makasar. The IOC model can facilitate students to actively move, interact, work together, and help students understand biological concepts through peer explanations

Abstract

The project learning model is an innovative model that is ideal for developing essential 21st century skills. This study aims to investigate the development, implementation, and integration of STEM-PjBL with students' analytical thinking skills through a literature review. The research method is a systematic literature review of 10 articles that have met the inclusion and exclusion criteria. The review method involves analyzing research trends and pedagogical approaches to analytical thinking skills, developing thinking skills through STEM-PjBL, and 3. Integration of Design Thinking in STEM-PjBL. The results show the potential of STEM-PjBL to effectively improve analytical and critical thinking skills in chemistry education. Educators can maximize the potential of STEM-PjBL by implementing the right pedagogical approach and overcoming existing challenges. Integration of design thinking can optimize the development of students' thinking skills to solve problems creatively and innovatively. Thus, the application of STEM-PjBL and integration of design thinking are effective strategies to improve the quality of chemistry learning and prepare students to face the challenges of the 21st century.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan guru IPA dalam merancang media pembelajaran berupa poster menggunakan aplikasi Canva. Kegiatan dilatarbelakangi oleh keterbatasan kemampuan guru dalam mengembangkan media ajar yang menarik dan sesuai kebutuhan peserta didik. Menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif, kegiatan ini melibatkan 30 guru IPA anggota MGMP Kabupaten Maros. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi, pretest dan posttest, serta dokumentasi hasil karya. Hasil pelatihan menunjukkan peningkatan pemahaman peserta tentang prinsip desain dasar dan keterampilan teknis penggunaan Canva yaitu dari 34,98% (pretest) menjadi 55,48% (posttest), dengan 55,5% peserta mengalami peningkatan signifikan. Peserta dapat menghasilkan poster edukatif yang relevan dengan materi IPA dan menarik secara visual. Pelatihan ini efektif dalam meningkatkan kompetensi guru dalam pembuatan media ajar digital berbasis desain grafis.

Abstract

Reformasi pendidikan Abad 21 dilakukan melalui berbagai kajian, baik aspek konten maupun pedagogik, dengan menggunakan standar baru yang lebih bermakna, otentik, dan kontekstual. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh Model Problem Based Learning berbantuan e-modul terhadap hasil belajar peserta didik pada materi Asam Basa kelas XI Salah satu SMK Farmasi Yamasi Makassar. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuasi eksperimen dengan desain Non-equivalent Control Group. Populasi penelitian adalah seluruh peserta didik kelas XI pada semester genap Tahun Pelajaran 2023/2024. Pengambilan sampel menggunakan purposive sampling dan terpilih Kelas XI A berjumlah 26 peserta didik sebagai kelas eksperimen, serta kelas XI B berjumlah 26 peserta didik sebagai kelas kontrol. Teknik pengumpulan data melalui pemberian tes hasil belajar kognitif. Data dianalisis dengan statistik deskriptif dan inferensial. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa skor rata-rata kelas ekperimen pada pre-test dan postes berturut-turut 77,73 dengan kategori tinggi dan 81,42 dengan kategori sangat tinggi. Sedangkan skor rata-rata kelas kontrol pada pre-test dan postes berturut-turut 77,23 dengan kategori tinggi dan 81,35 dengan kategori sangat tinggi. Hasil uji Wilcoxon menunjukkan taraf signifikansi < 0,05 maka H0 ditolak dan H1 diterima, yang artinya terdapat pengaruh Model PBL berbantuan e-modul terhadap hasil belajar. Kombinasi model dan media pembelajaran dapat dijadikan sebagai alternatif dalam meningkatkan keterlibatan peserta didik dan retensi pengetahuan.

Abstract

This study aims to produce an organic compound textbook for the Seaweed Agribusiness Expertise Program at vocational high schools. The research method used is a mixed method with an educational reconstruction model that focuses on content structure analysis. Content structure analysis is carried out through literature studies, subject matter clarification, and concept modification and refinement. Validation by experts was carried out to see the suitability of the indicators and learning objectives, as well as the suitability of the textbook with the BSNP criteria. The characteristics of the resulting textbook use problem-based learning syntax. The textbook consists of four chapters and several sections related to the expertise program, in the form of knowledge, information, and applications about seaweed. The assessment of the textbook includes the suitability of the learning objectives with the text in the textbook. The results of the expert assessment of the textbook show the suitability of the indicators with the learning objectives and the suitability of the learning objectives with the textbook text. All indicators and learning objectives obtained a CVR value calculated above the critical CVR value of 0.622 for seven validators, namely CVR = 1.00, so that it can be accepted or declared valid. The suitability of the textbook with quality criteria based on BNSP includes the aspects of content feasibility, presentation feasibility, language and graphics with percentages of 86.68%, 94%, 100%, and 100%, respectively. The results of this study indicate that the developed organic compound textbook has met the validity criteria and is feasible for use in learning in vocational high schools with the Seaweed Agribusiness Expertise Program. This textbook is expected to be a reference for vocational high school students to improve their understanding of the organic compounds found in seaweed so that they can be utilized in seaweed cultivation and processing practices.

Abstract

Lesson Study menjadi alat yang sangat berharga dalam memperkaya pengalaman pendidikan bagi guru dan siswa. Namun, di SDN 112 Inpres Bontomanai, penerapan Lesson Study masih menghadapi tantangan, seperti kurangnya pemahaman guru, keterbatasan waktu, serta rendahnya budaya kolaboratif dalam merancang dan mengevaluasi pembelajaran. Program pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk memperkuat pemahaman guru tentang Lesson Study. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini akan dilakukan melalui beberapa tahapan Utama yaitu Sosialisasi, Pelatihan dan Workshop, Pendampingan dan Evaluasi. Evaluasi dilakukan menggunakan metode wawancara dengan guru, serta pengukuran pre-test dan post-test untuk mengukur peningkatan pemahaman guru terhadap Lesson Study. Mitra dalam kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah SDN 112 Inpres Bontomanai, yang berlokasi di Kabupaten Takalar, Sulawesi Selatan. Berdasarkan hasil kegiatan pengabdian yang telah dilakukan menunjukkan bahwa kegiatan memiliki dampak yang signifikan dalam meningkatkan pemahaman guru, kemampuan observasi, kerja sama antar guru, motivasi, serta kualitas perencanaan pembelajaran. Semua indikator mengalami peningkatan yang cukup tinggi setelah kegiatan dilakukan.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kapasitas kelompok usaha arang sekam di Kabupaten Gowa melalui penerapan teknologi pirolisis berbasis green technology. Permasalahan utama yang dihadapi mitra meliputi rendahnya kualitas produk, polusi akibat pembakaran terbuka, kemasan yang kurang menarik, serta keterbatasan akses pemasaran. Program ini dilaksanakan melalui beberapa tahapan, yaitu sosialisasi, pelatihan teknis, pendampingan penerapan teknologi, serta evaluasi berkelanjutan. Pelatihan mencakup penggunaan alat pirolisis modern untuk menghasilkan arang sekam dan asap cair, pengemasan produk yang lebih praktis dan menarik, serta strategi pemasaran digital berbasis media sosial dan e-commerce. Hasil evaluasi menunjukkan adanya peningkatan signifikan pada aspek pengetahuan, keterampilan, produktivitas, manajemen usaha, manfaat kegiatan, relevansi materi, kepraktisan teknologi, serta dampak lingkungan. Nilai pengetahuan meningkat dari 2 menjadi 4, keterampilan dari 2 menjadi 3, produktivitas dari 2 menjadi 4, dan manajemen usaha dari 2 menjadi 5. Peningkatan ini menegaskan bahwa teknologi pirolisis mampu menghasilkan produk berkualitas sekaligus ramah lingkungan, sejalan dengan prinsip circular economy. Diversifikasi produk melalui pemanfaatan biochar dan asap cair juga membuka peluang pasar yang lebih luas, terutama dengan dukungan pemasaran digital. Dengan demikian, kegiatan ini tidak hanya meningkatkan produktivitas dan daya saing usaha mikro, tetapi juga memberikan kontribusi nyata terhadap pengelolaan limbah pertanian, peningkatan pendapatan masyarakat, dan pencapaian Tujuan Pembangunan Berkelanjutan (SDGs).

Abstract

Scientific literacy is a crucial competency for students in the 21st century, particularly in the context of science education. However, international assessments such as PISA continue to indicate that Indonesian students’ scientific literacy remains below global standards. This literature study aims to investigate the development, implementation, and impact of scientific literacy-oriented science learning in Indonesian schools by reviewing 20 selected articles published in accredited national journals. The review method involves analyzing research trends, learning models, and key factors influencing scientific literacy from studies conducted between 2016 and 2022. The findings show that various innovative learning models, including STEM-based learning, problem-based learning, guided inquiry, blended learning, and the use of digital teaching materials, have been widely applied to enhance students' scientific literacy. Most studies emphasize the effectiveness of integrating scientific literacy with critical thinking, character education, and environmental awareness. Moreover, student worksheets (LKPD), e-modules, and multimedia resources were found to support literacy development effectively, especially when aligned with scientific practices and real-life contexts. The review also identifies gaps in longitudinal studies, integration across different science disciplines, and limited focus on the primary education level. In conclusion, the literature reveals a strong movement toward designing science learning that not only builds scientific knowledge but also promotes students’ ability to apply it meaningfully in daily life. Further research is recommended to evaluate the long-term impact of these approaches and to develop integrated frameworks for enhancing scientific literacy across educational levels.

Abstract

Student competence in developing assessment instruments is crucial for ensuring the quality of learning evaluation. This research aims to determine the effect of project-based learning e-modules on student competence in developing science process skills instruments. This study employed a quasi-experimental research design with a nonequivalent control group. The sample was selected using purposive sampling based on students' initial abilities, resulting in 54 students divided into two groups. Data collection instruments included the development of one basic and integrated SPS question by students for each indicator. The research data were analyzed using a t-test with a significance level of 5%. The results demonstrated a significant positive effect of the PjBL e-module on student competence in developing SPS instruments, with the experimental group's average competence being 77.36, which was higher than the control group's average of 62.41. This research is expected to improve the competence of prospective science teachers in developing valid and effective assessment instruments, thereby addressing obstacles such as a lack of understanding of SPS, difficulties in constructing complex questions, and challenges in creating effective distractors
