Abstract

The aim of this research is to describe forms based on references used by Mobile Legends players. This research uses qualitative research. This research data is in the form of words or phrases containing swear words based on the form of condition references, references to animal names, references to body parts, references to kinship, references to professions, references to activities, references to spirits, and references to objects. The data source used in this research is speech in the comments column that contains swear words, which has been provided by Moonton. The form of speech is taken from comments in the photo album provided, and also the message column in the Mobile Legends game. The data collection technique in this research is documentation in the form of listening and note-taking techniques. The data collection instrument used was the researcher himself. This research uses an extralingual matching method with a continuous contrast comparison technique. The application of the comparative technique in this research is that the researcher will compare the differences between the forms of swearing they use. In this case, data analysis is presented by describing the forms of swearing used by Mobile Legends Game Players.

Abstract

This study discusses the persuasive art in the preaching utterances of Habib Husein Ja’far Al-Hadar on Deddy Corbuzier’s YouTube channel, particularly in the Log-in Season Episode, through a syntactic analysis based on Austin and Searle’s speech act theory. The purpose of this research is to describe the types of sentences used by Habib Ja’far in delivering persuasive messages an to explain the accompanying illocutionary function. The method used is qualitative with observastion and note taking techniques, in which verbal utterances are classified according to sentence types (declarative, imperative, prohibitive, and interrogative) and analyzed in relation to their pragmatic functions. The results of the study show that Habib Ja’far employs various syntactic structures to create strong persuasive effects. Declarative sentences are used to instill moral and spiritual values, imperative and prohibitive sentences serve to guide the audience’s behavior, while interroative sentences function to evoke the listener’s awareness through reflection. The combination of sentencesstructure and illocutinary meaning forms a preaching style that is gentle, logical, and emotional, making religious messages more easily accepted by diverse audience.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the forms and functions of sarcastic language style used by the characters in the film Rumah untuk Alie through a stylistic approach based on Keraf’s (2006) theory of language style. This research employs a qualitative method with listening and note-taking techniques to collect data in the form of utterances containing sarcasm. The data were analyzed using the referential identity method (metode padan) to interpret meanings, contexts, and rhetorical functions of sarcasm in shaping characters and conflicts. The findings reveal three main forms of sarcastic language style: mocking sarcasm, cursing sarcasm, and ironic sarcasm. Each form serves different rhetorical purposes, such as expressing emotions, channeling anger, and asserting social dominance within conflictual interactions. Stylistically, the use of sarcasm in the film demonstrates how diction, intonation, and context create emotional and aesthetic effects while reflecting the characters’ social dynamics and power relations. This study concludes that language in film functions not merely as a medium of communication but also as a means of psychological expression and social representation.

Abstract

Penelitian ini berjudul Pujian dalam Kolom Komentar TikTok Kajian Sosiolinguistik yang fokus pada bagaimana bahasa digunakan oleh pengguna TikTok untuk menyampaikan pujian dalam ruang komunikasi digital. Latar belakang penelitian ini berangkat dari pandangan bahwa bahasa di media sosial tidak hanya berfungsi sebagai sarana komunikasi, tetapi juga sebagai representasi identitas sosial, moral, dan keagamaan masyarakat digital. Melalui tuturan pujian, pengguna tidak sekadar menyampaikan kekaguman, tetapi juga menegaskan nilai-nilai kesopanan, spiritualitas, serta hubungan sosial antarindividu di dunia maya. Untuk menjawab permasalahan tersebut, penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif dengan teknik simak dan catat sebagai metode pengumpulan data, serta metode padan (Sudaryanto, 2015) dalam analisis data. Data penelitian berupa tuturan pujian yang diambil dari kolom komentar empat kreator TikTok Indonesia dengan konteks penampilan fisik, kepribadian, dan ekspresi religius. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya tiga bentuk pujian utama , yaitu: (1 ) pujian dengan kata penegas seperti sungguh , sungguh , cuantik , dan uwangi yang menegaskan kekaguman terhadap penampilan fisik dan karakter positif; (2) pujian dengan kata-kata religius seperti Tabarakallah , Masyallah , dan Alhamdulillah yang menonjolkan nilai spiritual dan kesopanan berbahasa; serta (3) pujian berupa paduan penegas dan religius seperti Subhanallah banget dan MashaAllah selalu yang menggabungkan intensitas emosional dengan nilai keagamaan. Secara fungsional, pujian terbagi menjadi dua kategori besar, yaitu pujian terhadap penampilan fisik dan terhadap kepribadian. Kebaruan (kebaruan) penelitian ini terletak pada analisis ungkapan pujian di ruang digital TikTok sebagai fenomena kebahasaan masyarakat kontemporer yang merepresentasikan kreativitas linguistik, ekspresi emosional, serta kesadaran religius modern. Gap penelitian yang terisi adalah minimnya kajian sosiolinguistik yang meneliti bentuk dan fungsi pujian dalam konteks media sosial berbasis video, khususnya dengan menyoroti keterpaduan antara bahasa, moralitas, dan identitas sosial dalam komunikasi digital. Abstract

This research is motivated by the importance of associative meaning in poetry as a formative element of imaginative power, emotion, and linguistic creativity. However, there has been limited research systematizing associative meaning techniques as a model for poetry writing instruction. This study aims to analyze associative meaning techniques in Chairil Anwar's poems and formulate their implications for poetry writing instruction. This research employs a qualitative descriptive design with semantic analysis of eight selected poems from the collection Aku Ini Binatang Jalang (I Am a Wild Animal). Data were collected through repeated reading and note-taking techniques, while data analysis was conducted through componential analysis, referential analysis, and meaning verification using KBBI (the Indonesian Dictionary). The research findings indicate that there are three dominant techniques in the development of associative meaning in Chairil Anwar's poetry: meaning components, rewriting, and synonymy. The synonymy technique is the most frequently used, followed by rewriting and meaning components. These findings demonstrate that associative meaning plays a crucial role in strengthening the expressive power and semantic depth of poetry. These findings have implications for poetry writing instruction, namely the need for explicit teaching of associative techniques to help students enrich their diction choices and expand semantic creativity in their poetic works.

Abstract

This study examines the natural phenomena on the development of lemma and meaning in the variety of languages used by adolescents on social media. Research design was done naturally through the process of observation, taking notes, and writing down the case. The qualitative research appears in the development of the entry which is easily found as a definite phenomenon of linguistic development. The data collection method was carried out by tracing data on the use of various languages on social media. To analyze the data, the researcher uses padan and agih methods. This method is to test the accuracy of classification on the types of language used by adolescents in social media in the development of the entry and or the development of the meaning of the entry. The results showed that the variety of languages on social media is very dynamic, developing, arbitrary, but conventional. The variety of languages indicates the development of new lemmas, acronyms, and walikan. The development of meaning is marked along with the development of the entry in the form of synonyms and the use of the Indonesian language entry in the form of a polysemic. Based on the results of this study, adolescents can be considered a productive period in exploring the language, through direct interaction or social media. Becoming actively productive in language exploration led to a potential for concepting a new lemma and a new meaning according to the context of language use. In addition, this development becomes one proof of the self-existence of adolescence, community characteristics, and also the need for the development of Indonesian vocabulary.

Abstract

Pada persiapan penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan penerapan metode pengajaran SQ3R (Survey, Question, Read, Recite, Review) dalam meningkatkan kemampuan membaca siswa kelas VII di SMPN 3 Ambulu. Permasalahan utama yang diidentifikasi adalah rendahnya kemampuan siswa dalam memahami teks bacaan, yang disebabkan oleh kurangnya metode pembelajaran yang interaktif. Metode SQ3R dipilih karena pendekatannya yang sistematis dan terbukti efektif dalam meningkatkan pemahaman membaca. Perencanaan penelitian ini menggunakan desain Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) dengan dua siklus, yang mencakup tahap perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi, dan refleksi. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi dan tes hasil belajar, baik pre-test maupun post-test. Penerapan metode ini juga meningkatkan keterlibatan siswa dalam proses pembelajaran dan motivasi membaca. Dengan demikian, metode SQ3R dapat direkomendasikan sebagai strategi efektif untuk meningkatkan kemampuan membaca pemahaman di tingkat sekolah menengah pertama

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan modul pembelajaran teks biografi yang dirancang untuk meningkatkan literasi siswa kelas X MAN 2 Jember. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah Research and Development (R&D), dengan tahapan analisis kebutuhan, desain modul, validasi ahli, uji coba lapangan, dan evaluasi. Modul ini disusun dengan pendekatan berbasis literasi yang mengintegrasikan elemen-elemen interaktif, seperti diskusi, penulisan reflektif, dan analisis nilai-nilai dari tokoh biografi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa modul ini layak digunakan berdasarkan validasi ahli bahasa, materi, dan media, dengan skor rata-rata tinggi pada aspek kebahasaan, kesesuaian materi, dan desain. Modul yang dikembangkan mampu meningkatkan keterlibatan siswa dalam pembelajaran, memperkuat kemampuan berpikir kritis, serta menghubungkan pembelajaran teks biografi dengan kehidupan sehari-hari. Dengan demikian, modul ini dapat menjadi alat pembelajaran yang efektif dan relevan untuk memperkuat literasi siswa.

Abstract

Latar Belakang: Berdasarkan analisis kebutuhan, guru di Pondok Modern Muhammadiyah Pakusari perlu meningkatkan kemampuan mengaplikasikan pembelajaran berpusat pada siswa. Tujuan: PkM ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran pada perangkat dan pelaksanaan pembelajarannya. Metode: Kegiatan PkM ini dilaksanakan dengan tiga metode, yaitu metode workshop, pendampingan, dan refleksi. Workshop dilakukan dengan target luaran rancangan pembelajaran. Pendampingan dilakukan untuk memberikan penguatan dan umpan balik pada kualitas praktik pembelajaran. Refleksi adalah pemahaman kualitas dan potensi diri untuk peningkatan kualitas. Hasil: Berdasarkan hasil workshop, rancangan pembelajaran guru cukup memadai. Hal yang perlu ditingkatkan yaitu keterampilan menentukan kata kerja operasional yang HOTS dan menyusun langkah-langkah pembelajaran. Berdasarkan hasil pendampingan, guru telah berupaya melaksanakan pembelajaran berpusat pada siswa. Melalui kegiatan refleksi, guru menemukan kualitas dirinya: kelebihan, kelemahan, dan potensi. Kesimpulan: Berdasarkan telaah bersama, diperlukan pengembangan rancangan pembelajaran sebagai penerjemahan dari karakteristik pondok pesantren muhammadiyah.

Abstract

Research on educational games in learning contexts and advances in science and technology are becoming increasingly important. This research aims to analyze the use of educational games in the learning context in Indonesia, focusing on computer science and social science. The method used in this research is a Systematic Literature Review (SLR), with inclusion criteria of publication period between 2018 and 2023, English language articles, article accessibility, and relevance to computer science and social sciences. The results of this research analysis include several important findings, namely: 1) the number of educational game document publications has fluctuated, 2) affiliation trends vary, 3) author trends also vary, and 4) the results of the systematic analysis show that educational games can improve student academic achievement, problem-solving abilities, creative thinking, and independent learning abilities. In addition, the role of teachers and parents is recognized as an important factor in supporting and maximizing the benefits of digital educational technology. The findings from this research emphasize the importance of designing learning that integrates educational game-based approaches to improve the quality of learning and achieve better learning outcomes for students. The implications of this research provide a basis for developing innovative and sustainable learning strategies in the fields of computer science and social sciences in Indonesia
