Abstract

In this manuscript, the dynamics of a fractional-order predator-prey model with age structure on predator and nonlinear harvesting on prey are studied. The Caputo fractional-order derivative is used as the operator of the model by considering its capability to explain the present state as the impact of all of the previous conditions. Three biological equilibrium points are successfully identified including their existing properties. The local dynamical behaviors around each equilibrium point are investigated by utilizing the Matignon condition along with the linearization process. The numerical simulations are demonstrated not only to show the local stability which confirms all of the previous analytical results but also to show the existence of periodic signal as the impact of the occurrence of Hopf bifurcation.

Abstract

Stock movements that follow a stochastic process move randomly at certain times, have led stock prices challenging to predict. For this reason, the monte carlo simulation method is used to get the possibilities of stock prices in the future. This case study focused on the shares listed on the Jakarta Islamic Index 70 in 2018, by simulating 10 times the daily closing price data, thus, the possible stock prices in 2019 were obtained. Portfolio optimization was then carried out using the markowitz model approach from the predicted data. Based on the prediction data, there are 20 stock have a positive expected return. The stocks that has the largest weight is ICBP.JK (Indofood CBP Sukses Makmur Tbk) stocks, with 0.1396, while the stocks with the smallest weight is INAF.JK (Indofarma (Persero) Tbk) at 0.0053. Histirical simulations calculate the Value a Risk of 20 stocks that provide optimal returns, if investors invest Rp. 100,000,000.00 the maximum risk or loss that will be obtained is Rp. 2,910,410.00 for 1 year.

Abstract

Information Literacy skills are needed to find quality sources and manage and sort information so that it can be used to improve the quality of life and community empowerment. The number of factors that affect information literacy causes the need for classification. The method used is Improved Chi-Square Automatic Interaction Detection (Improved CHAID), which aims to classify influencing factors with Information Literacy abilities. This study uses primary data, namely 237 Mananggu Young Generation (15-24 years), with Information Literacy as the dependent variable. The independent variables consist of reading interest, reading habits, gender, digital literacy, information needs, critical thinking, and information-seeking behavior. Based on the Improved CHAID analysis, the factors that significantly affect information literacy are Reading Habits (83%), Information Needs (89%), and Critical Thinking (94%). The classification performance of Testing Data is 40%, with a classification accuracy of 77% or from 95 samples, there are 73 samples that are properly classified. The sensitivity of 78% shows that the classification results are able to predict samples that have information literacy, 74% specificity indicates that the classification results are able to predict samples that do not have information literacy, and Press's Q 27.38 indicates a stable classification or statistically significant.

Abstract

This article discusses SEIRS-SEI epidemic models on malaria with regard to human recovery rate. SEIRS-SEI in this model is an abbreviation of the population class used in the model, ie Susceptible, Exposed, Infected, and Recovered populations in humans and Susceptible, Exposed, and Infected populations in mosquito. These epidemic models belong to mathematical models which clarify a phenomenon of epidemic transmission of malaria by observing the human recovery rate after being infected and susceptible. Human population falls into four classes, namely susceptible humans, exposed humans, infected humans, and recovered humans. Meanwhile, mosquito population serving as vectors of the disease is divided into three classes, including susceptible mosquitoes, exposed mosquitoes, and infected mosquitoes. Such models are termed SEIRS-SEI epidemic models. Analytical discussion covers model formation, existence and stability of equilibrium points, as well as numerical simulation to find out the influence of human recovery rate on population dynamics of both species. The results show that the fixed point without disease ( ) is stable in condition  and unstable in condition . The simulation results show that the given treatment has an influence on the dynamics of the human population and mosquitoes. If the human recovery rate from the infected state becomes susceptible to increased, then the number of infected populations of both species will decrease. As a result, the disease will not spread and within a certain time will disappear from the population.

Abstract

Sharia-based investment is an investment by the community to obtain profits in accordance with Islamic principles and law. This study aims to calculate the optimal portfolio return value using the Single Index Model, calculate risk with VaR (Value at Risk), and then implement it with Matlab’s GUI (Graphical User Interface). The data used is closing stock price data on the JII (Jakarta Islamic Index) using 30 stocks for two consecutive years. Furthermore, these stocks are selected which have a positive average return value. The study results show that 14 stocks are candidates for optimal portfolios with positive return values, namely: ACES, ADRO, ANTM, BRPT, BTPS, CTRA, EXCL, INCO, MDKA, MNCN, SCMA, TPIA, UNTR, and WIKA. Then the optimal portfolio of the 14 stocks is determined using the Single Index Model considering the ERB (Excess Return to Beta) value ≥ cut-off point value (C*). Based on the value, 4 shares were obtained that belong to the optimal portfolio, namely: MDKA, BRPT, BTPS, and ANTM. Furthermore, VaR calculations are performed on the 4 optimal portfolios to obtain optimum VaR consistency values with 500 repetitions. The VaR calculation results with a 95% confidence level show that the average VaR result is in the range of -0.14704 to -0.3420 so that when investors invest in 4 optimal stocks, the losses experienced by investors are no more than 34%.
