Abstract

This study aims to analyze the management of School Operational Assistance Fund (BOS) utilization in improving educational quality at SD Islam Cendekia Makassar, a private elementary school that began receiving BOS funds in 2024. The research focuses on three main aspects: (1) planning of BOS fund utilization; (2) implementation of BOS fund utilization; and (3) monitoring and evaluation of BOS fund utilization. This study employs a qualitative approach with a phenomenological method. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, field observations, and documentation. The key informants included the school principal, the BOS treasurer, and teachers. Data analysis was conducted using the interactive analysis model of Miles, Huberman, and Saldana, comprising data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing with verification. The findings reveal that: (1) Planning was carried out systematically and participatively through data-driven RKAS formulation involving the principal, treasurer, teachers, and foundation manager, with priorities on textbook procurement, assessments, facility maintenance, and library development; (2) Implementation adhered to BOS technical guidelines and positively impacted the availability of learning materials, improved facility conditions, and a more conducive learning environment; (3) Monitoring was conducted through a multilayered mechanism involving both internal and external oversight with orderly reporting via the ARKAS system, although formal periodic evaluation has not yet been systematically implemented. The study concludes that BOS fund management at SD Islam Cendekia Makassar has positively contributed to improving educational quality, though further strengthening of evaluation mechanisms and management capacity remains necessary.

Abstract

Although the Islamic legal tradition recognizes diversity of opinion (ikhtilāf) as an integral, legitimate aspect of juristic reasoning, contemporary Muslim societies often face tensions when interpretive differences intersect with competing religious and sociopolitical authorities. Existing studies on fiqh al-ikhtilāf have largely remained within normative and descriptive discussions of classical legal theory and rarely examine how juristic diversity operates in contemporary social contexts. This article addresses this gap by examining ikhtilāf through a socio-legal and comparative madhhab perspective. The study employs qualitative, library-based research, combining textual analysis of classical jurisprudential sources from major Sunni madhhabs with socio-legal interpretation to explore how differences in legal reasoning are constructed, negotiated, and applied in contemporary Muslim discourse. The findings indicate that juristic disagreement arises not only from technical differences in linguistic interpretation or methods of istinbāṭ (legal derivation) but also from varying epistemological frameworks among madhhabs and their interaction with evolving social contexts and authority structures. Comparative analysis shows that classical madhhab traditions historically accommodated legal pluralism within a structured jurisprudential framework. In contrast, contemporary contestations often emerge when interpretive authority becomes fragmented. This article contributes to the sociology of Islamic law by proposing an ethical-jurisprudential framework grounded in fiqh al-ikhtilāf. The framework integrates madhhab diversity, legal pluralism, and ethical principles (akhlāq al-karīmah) as mechanisms for managing disagreement constructively. By reframing juristic diversity as an institutionalized form of legal pluralism rather than a source of division, the study highlights its potential role in strengthening social cohesion within contemporary Muslim societies.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the teacher's strategy in implementing the Talking Stick method with the Question Box, to determine student responses, and to analyze changes in students' speaking skills at UPT SDN 271 Apundi, East Luwu Regency, in science learning. This study uses a qualitative approach with a case study type. Data collection techniques include observation, interviews, and documentation, and are analyzed through data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The implementation of the Talking Stick method with the Question Box goes through systematic learning planning, implementation, and evaluation stages. This method encourages active student involvement and obtains positive responses as indicated by increased enthusiasm and participation. In addition, students' speaking skills have improved, in terms of courage, fluency, and the ability to express opinions. Thus, the Talking Stick method with the Question Box is effective in improving students' speaking skills in science learning.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the application of the Think Pair Share (TPS) cooperative learning model and the improvement of student learning outcomes after the model is applied to Islamic Religious Education (PAI) subjects. This study uses Classroom Action Research (CAR) which is carried out in two cycles, where each cycle consists of planning, action implementation, observation, and reflection. The subjects of the study were 27 students of class VIII.2 UPTD SMP Negeri 2 Sabbangparu, Wajo Regency. Data collection techniques were carried out through observation, tests, and documentation. Data were analyzed using quantitative and qualitative approaches to determine the improvement in learning outcomes and student activities during the learning process. The results of the study indicate that the application of the Think Pair Share (TPS) cooperative learning model is able to significantly improve student learning outcomes. In the initial conditions, only 29.63% of students achieved learning mastery. After the implementation of the TPS model in cycle I, the percentage of completion increased to 66.66%, then increased again in cycle II to 92.59%, thus achieving the set classical completion, which is ≥75%. In addition to improving learning outcomes, student activity in the learning process also experienced good development. Students appeared more active in independent thinking (think), discussing with partners (pair), and presenting discussion results in front of the class (share). Thus, it can be concluded that the cooperative learning model of the Think Pair Share (TPS) type is effective in improving learning outcomes and student activity in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) subjects.
