Abstract

Burning behavior in the peatland area in Bengkayang District is still running which is caused many disadvantages. To solve it, we need to prevention and handling activities. prevention activity is better to do which is the target all the society include children. children have imitation characteristic, include burning behavior. therefore, the introduction of land burning prevention necessary to do with fun method and media.  This activity was conducted in SDN 4 Sungai Jaga A Sungai Raya Sub-district Bengkayang district as much as 31 students in fourth grade. The methodology that was used with lecturer and tale and used the poster, puppets, and banner as media. Participants very excited when activities occur. hopefully, children have the knowledge, commit good behavior and concern to their environment.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to analyze (1) the correlation of factors that affect the spread of forest fire indication, and (2) the pattern of distribution, land burning time, and the public perception of combustion in Kubu Raya and Bengkayang Districts. The research activities were carried out in 12 villages in Kubu Raya and Bengkayang Districts during the month of November 2014 until January 2014. The research method is using correlation analysis and descriptive to explain the distribution patterns, land burn time, and the public perception of combustion. The results showed: 1) there is a relationship between the purpose of combustion (open land and eradicate weeds) with the population, and there is no relationship between the objectives of land combustion on the combustion behavior of the land associated with the main types of cultivated plants, and there is a correlation to the density of hotspots, the density of dry land farming and bush, shrub/ swamp density, marsh density, density of plantation, and density of open land. 2) The pattern of the farmers burning rice, horticulture and perenninal crops were classified into the type of the pattern of spots and the perception is part of a burning activities,  type with ash beds and lodge with the perception of not being a part of burning activities, and type with only one time burning on the stages of land preparation, and type with in the eradication of weeds. Abstract

The purpose of this research is to describe the factor of imitation behavior of women farmers on the decission making process for their farm management. This research was conducted with descriptive method to describe the relation between social environment and the farming decissions making for women farmers who cultivated horticulture on the peatland area at Limbung Village, Kubu Raya District. The result of the research showed that on the imitation behavior factor related to the decission making process by women farmers based on the social environment. Eventhough not all the decission was based on the behavior of other farmers, but the women farmers still considered other farmers decission. Therefore social enviroment became the important factor on the forming of women farmers behavior in running theiru farming, that reflected on the decissions they made.Keywords: imitation factor, farm management, women farmers, peatland farming

Abstract

The increase in the number of smallholders (Independent farmers) in Bonti District faces challenges from limited knowledge about cultivation, optimizing the use of production factors, sustainability in production, and the absence of institutions (farmer groups, cooperatives, and farmer groups combined) so that it becomes a problem in the application of the 4 principles and 20 ISPO criteria. The purpose of this study is to analyze the formation of independent farmer groups within the ISPO certification framework. The research method uses the descriptive approach to analyze institutional conditions based on ISPO criteria also uses fishbone diagrams to find out the main problems and to create solutions. The results of this research show the farmers' institutional principles have not been implemented, while 65.96% of the ISPO criteria have not been implemented and only 34.04% of the ISPO criteria have been implemented by farmers. The absence of farmer groups, data collection, and counseling for independent farmer groups in Upe Village. However, farmers show a good response to the initiation of the farmer groups' formation because there is hope that it will facilitate production inputs and the sale of TBS.

Abstract

Batu Jato is a tourist attraction site that frequently visited by local tourists on Sundays or public holidays. Batu Jato ecotourism has natural beauty views, clear river water, and vast expanse of rocks along the river. The descriptive, quantitative, and qualitative method was employed to obtain the primary and secondary data used in the study. Thirty participants were working as the village office staff, tourism department, tourism object management parties, tourists, and community around the Batu Jato ecotourism. The data collection is done by interview and questionnaire. The data analysis was conducted by SWOT analysis and Quantitative Strategic Planning Matrix (QSPM) analysis. There were three strategies arranged from SWOT analysis: 1) implementing a collaboration between the tourism object management parties, village office staff, and tourism department through an exhibition, souvenirs, banners, brochures, and pamphlets describing the Batu Jato attraction sites; (2) implementing a verbal communication as a method to deliver information about the Batu Jato attraction site such as through tourism extention and direct communication; and (3) improving the Batu Jato Ecotourism promotion through social media platforms such as website, Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp and Youtube using attractive content in the form of pictures and writings.

Abstract

The rapid growth in internet users in Indonesia makes the e-commerce business increasingly fierce by business people. UKM I Sun Vera is one of the UKM that develops e-commerce marketing business of processed aloe vera products, but in the implementation of UKM I Sun Vera still experience some obstacles such as sales promotions carried out less than the maximum, less skilled labor, limited knowledge of applications or online business systems so that consumer purchasing decisions in e-commerce are low on the product I SUN VERA. The purpose of this study was to analyze the effect of aloe vera marketing mix on the purchasing decision of e-commerce UKM I Sun Vera. This study used a survey method with quantitative descriptive analysis namely Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with LISREL 8.80 software. Sampling technique used on this research is purposive sampling, that involved 110 respondents. Data were collected through e-questionnaire with google form. The results showed that the variable marketing mix of products, prices and processes influence purchasing decisions. UKM I Sun Vera must pay attention to the nutritional content of the product on the packaging and add variety to the product uploaded in online marketing media. Sun Vera I SMEs must also pay attention to the affordability of product prices by making product innovations in various sizes and shapes and by adding online payment alternatives to facilitate consumers in terms of payment such as Dana, Gopay, Alfamart / Indomaret, Cash On Delivery and others.

Abstract

The selection of the marketing communication domain plays a major role in promoting products and services. The most common problem in Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSME) is its funding system. This study aimed to know the integrated communication marketing used in food processing MSME in Pontianak City. This study was involving 100 participants chosen based on the purposive sampling technique. The analysis method used was descriptive and qualitative analysis. Through a descriptive analysis, the variable studied was described. While, the qualitative analysis applied in assessing the data sources, data reduction, and deducting conclusions or verifications. The result showed that integrated communication marketing that consisted of media advertising, sales promotion, and direct marketing are highly contributed to the food processed sales performance in Pontianak City.

Abstract

Cocoa Commodities, especially cocoa beans, have a great opportunity to be developed due to high market demand, this must be in line with the good quality of cocoa beans owned with the world market demand standards which means that at the farm level the cocoa farming must implement the Good Agricultural Practices (GAP) and Good Handling Practice (GHP). This study aims to determine the effect of the characteristics of cocoa farmers on farmers' perceptions of fermented cocoa beans. The method used in this study is the survey method. The research location is Sui Duri Village, Sui Raya District, Bengkayang Regency. Data analysis using logit regression. The results showed that the five characteristics of the farmers, namely age, education, land area, number of family dependents and farming experience had a positive influence on farmers' perceptions, this indicates that farmers' characteristics are very important on the farmers' decision to adopt cocoa bean fermentation technology.Keywords: Characteristics of farmers, cocoa, perceptions, Good Agricultural Practices (GAP), Good Handling Practices (GHP)

Abstract

PT. Prakarsa Tani Sejati is one of oldest company in Ketapang district. But, This company has problem about employee performance is relatively low. That is dependent by motivation and work enviroment do not support. This study aims to determine the effect of motivation and work environment on employee performance in PT Prakarsa Tani Sejati Subdistrict Sungai Laur Ketapang District. This reaserch uses Assosiatif method. The sample used was 65 respondent determined by using slovin formula. Data analysis tecnhniques used in this reaserch is multiple linear regression analysis using F test and T test. The result of multiple linear regression analysis shows that the result of F test is more than F-table thus it is concluded that employee’s motivation and work environment are equally affecting employee performance. Based on T test results known, the motivation does not affect on employee performance, while the work environment affect on performance of employees. Through determination coefficient testing obtained adjusted R square is 0,723 this means that 72,3% of variation can be explained by the Employee  performance varation of the two independent variables  work motivation and work environment. While the remaining 27,7%  is explained by reasons-other causes outside the model.

Abstract

Indonesia support the development of oil palm cultivation, because nowadays oil palm is one important farm result, and then because oil palm plantation has the important aspect in social economic people life beside to give foreign exchange, and have many function and excellence thing of oil palm plantation and then see the condition that plantation sub sector have role or important effect such as social economic development that is give job field, give more income to the people that work in the plantation environment nor people around especially work in the oil palm plantation. The creation and expansion for the job field always have effort, especially by improvement of the development Rubber plant easy to try, but the management of rubber plantation often get the problem. Compared to rubber plant cultivation nowadaysoil palm more get interest from the farmer, while this plant can give advantage and give more income to the farmer. In the other hand, this research has purpose to know the factors that effects the farmer over of the rubber land become oil palm plantation in Parindu Raya village ParinduSanggau district. The population and sample in this study amounted of 40 farmers. Data were collected through a research questionnaire and direct interviews. The research method used is descriptive using ordinary last square (multiple linear regression) analysis. The results showed that age have positive and significant effect to over of the land. Experience, burden and price of oil palm has negative and significant effect to over of the land. Education, work time and fertilizer amount has negative and not significant effect to over of the land. Whereas, income deviation has positive and not significant effect to over of the land.
