Abstract

Sepak bola merupakan olahraga yang terpopuler di dunia, begitu juga di Indonesia. Namun jika berbicara mengenai pengembangan sepak bola, tentu belum semua wilayah di Indonesia merasakan kemajuan yang merata. Begitu juga dengan di Kota Medan, dimana proses pembinaan belum berbasis dengan keilmuan yang mumpuni. Untuk itu perlu dilakukan berbagai upaya dan usaha nyata yang dimulai dari proses pembinaan sepak bola usia dini. Pembinaan sepak bola usia dini dapat dilakukan di lingkungan sekolah. Oleh karena itu, dibutuhkan guru pendidikan jasmani yang mumpuni dalam pembinaan sepak bola berbasis ilmu pengetahuan dan teknologi terkini.

Abstract

This study aimed to examine the relationships among handgrip strength, trunk extension performance, quadriceps muscle strength endurance, and back muscle strength, and to identify the most dominant predictor of back muscle strength among physical education students. A cross-sectional correlational design was employed involving 38 undergraduate physical education students (age 20.42 ± 0.72 years). Back muscle strength was measured using a back dynamometer, handgrip strength using a grip dynamometer, trunk extension performance using an extension dynamometer, and quadriceps strenght endurance using the wall sit test. Pearson correlation and multiple linear regression analyses were conducted. Handgrip strength showed a strong and significant correlation with back muscle strength (r = 0.839, p < 0.001), whereas trunk extension performance and quadriceps strenght endurance were not significantly associated. Multiple regression analysis revealed that handgrip strength was the only significant independent predictor of back muscle strength (β = 0.838, p < 0.001), explaining 70.7% of the variance in back muscle strength. These findings indicate that handgrip strength serves as a dominant and practical predictor of back muscle strength in physical education students, supporting its use as an efficient screening tool in educational and sport settings.

Abstract

The infrastructure disparity between urban and rural areas is a systemic issue in the development of sports talent in Indonesia. This article aims to analyze the gap in football extracurricular facilities through library research. Data were collected from national and international journal articles as well as other supporting documents (secondary data) over the past 10 years. The analysis results indicate that schools in urban areas tend to have access to better-equipped fields and more modern equipment, while schools in rural areas often face challenges such as non-standard fields and a lack of supporting equipment. The discussion highlights that this disparity impacts the national football achievement pyramid. Therefore, it can be concluded that a more inclusive infrastructure budget redistribution policy is needed to mitigate geographical disparities.

Abstract

The development of students’ non-academic potential through soccer extracurricular activities at the junior high school level is often hindered by limited internal school resources; therefore, a systematic approach that involves active parental support is needed to successfully foster students’ interests and talents. This study aims to comprehensively analyse the impact of various forms of parental support on the sustainability of soccer extracurricular programs at the junior high school level in Pekanbaru City. This study employs a qualitative approach using an Intrinsic Case Study design at three junior high schools (SMP Negeri 1 Pekanbaru, SMP Negeri 5 Pekanbaru, and SMP Negeri 10 Pekanbaru). Data were collected through triangulation (observation, interviews, and documentation) from parents, students, and coaches. The results indicate that parental support is vital and multidimensional, encompassing financial, moral, and logistical factors. This multifaceted support collectively has a significant impact on improving the quality of the development program. The conclusion affirms that parental support is a determining factor and catalyst for the success of a soccer extracurricular program. The implications of this study recommend establishing a structured parent-school partnership model to more comprehensively optimize the development of students’ interests and talents.

Abstract

Penelitian ini diorientasikan untuk mengoptimalkan efektivitas model internalisasi nilai Gotong Royong melalui manajemen aktivitas ekstrakurikuler sepak bola di SMP Negeri 1 Pekanbaru. Dengan mengimplementasikan desain Penelitian Tindakan Lapangan (PTL) berbasis model Kemmis & McTaggart, penelitian ini menempuh siklus ganda yang mencakup fase perencanaan, aksi, observasi, dan refleksi terhadap partisipan didik di unit ekstrakurikuler sepak bola. Data komprehensif diperoleh melalui teknik observasi partisipatif, wawancara mendalam, serta evaluasi instrumen perilaku yang tervalidasi. Temuan empiris mengonfirmasi peningkatan signifikansi internalisasi nilai; di mana baseline pra-siklus sebesar 52% (kategori rendah) tereskalasi menjadi 70% pada Siklus I (kategori moderat), dan mencapai kulminasi pada angka 89% di Siklus II (kategori sangat memuaskan). Secara konseptual, penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa rekayasa program latihan yang mengedepankan sinergitas tim dan tanggung jawab kolektif bertindak sebagai katalisator efektif dalam pembentukan karakter siswa. Implikasi praktis dari penelitian ini menekankan perlunya redefinisi fungsional kegiatan olahraga, dari sekadar aktivitas kinetik menjadi laboratorium sosial strategis dengan arah untuk mentransformasi nilai budaya menjadi pola perilaku spontan yang relevan dengan tuntutan kehidupan bermasyarakat.
