Abstract

Kapal ambulan generasi kedua merupakan kapal yang dikembangkan dari desan model kapal generasi pertama. Pengembangan kapal ini bertujuan utuk memaksimalkan fungsi dan pelayan dari kapal ambulan generasi pertama. Area pelayanan kapal ambulan meliputi perairan Sekupang dan belakang Padang di Kota Batam. Dengan adanya pengembangan desain dan area pelayaran ini diharapkan akan meningkatnya taraf kesehatan masyarakat. Tujuan dari penulisan penelitian ini adalah membuat suatu desain baru kapal ambulan yang dituangakan dalam bentuk rencana umum kapal. Rencana umum kapal merupakan sebuah gambar yang menunjukkan gambaran kapal 2 dimensi yang meliputi pengaturan ruangan, penggambaran tangka-tangki dan peletakan perlengkapan kapal. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah denga menggunakan metode kapal pembanding dan melakukan percobaan dengan menggunakan perangkat lunak. Dari penelitain yang dilakukan didapatkan sebuah rencana umum kapal dengan tipe lambung kapal dengan jumlah dua (katamaran) Beberapa pengembangan yang dilakukan terkait dengan penambahan jumlah pasien dan penunggu pasien, penambahan luas ruangan kapal dan kapasitas kapal serta perubahan lambung kapal

Abstract

Pemindahan area pelayaran dilakukan guna memeperluas area pelayanan Batam Marine Ambulance (BMA). Kapal BMA merupakan kapal yang dibuat dengan kerjasama 3 instansi antara lain: Lembaga Amil Zakat (LAZ) Batam, Rumah Sakit Awal Bros Batam dan Politeknik Negeri Batam. Pemindahan area memerlukan kajian secara teknis baik terkait dengan kapal maupun tingkat kebutuhan transportasi yang digunakan. Lokasi pemindahan yang direncanakan adalah dari pelabuhan Tanjung Punggur menuju ke Pelabuhan Belakang Padang (Sekupang). Pemindahan ini diharapkan dapat meningkatkan taraf kesehatan masyarakat dan kemanfaatan dari BMA. Dari hasil kajian awal dan literatur didatapkan data bahwa, banyak masyarakat yang masih membutuhkan adanya sarana taransportasi yang tidak berbayar untuk melayani kesehatan. Hal ini terlihat dari banyaknya warga yang enggan untuk memeriksakan kesehatan karena kendala pada pembiayaan transportasi. Dari segi teknis terkait dengan kondisi perairan, area pelayaran lama dan area pelayaran yang direncanakan tidak memiliki perbedaan yang signifikan, sehingga untuk dampak lingkungan terhadap gerakan kapal dirasa tidak akan begitu jauh dan masih memiliki performa yang sama.

Abstract

The Support Structure is a part of the structure that provides rigidity and strength and supports the weight of the load above it. The initial design in this study uses CAD which is then converted to SolidWorks 2019 for simulation. The weight of the load generated for testing the support structure comes from the weight of the module construction above it of 30,925 kg, assumed to be a static load. The material that is part of the support structure in this study is S355J0-type structural steel with a yield strength value of 275 N/mm2. Stress testing shows that the maximum stress is 198 N/mm2 so it can be categorized as safe because x < the yield strength value. Strain testing shows a maximum value of 5.260 × 10-4, while the maximum displacement is 1.168 mm. The factor of safety testing with simulation showed a result of 1.4

Abstract

Ship repair involves repairing ship parts that are damaged and do not comply with class eligibilityrequirements. The completion of ship repair projects in shipyards often faces obstacles that cause delays in thecompletion of the project. The purpose of this research is to identify the factors causing delay in the repair ofAHTS 65.5 meters ship using the FTA method. It is expected that if the cause of the delay in the ship repairprocess is known, it will be used as a benchmark for predicting delays in future repairs. This research uses FaultTree Analysis (FTA) technique, which is an analytical method for identifying failures in a system. There are twotop events based on the FTA analysis, namely piping work with 13 basic events and engine room work with 14basic events. There is one basic event with a high probability value in piping work, namely the purchase ofimported materials. While the engine room work produces one basic event with a high probability value, namelythe purchase of imported materials. The purchase of imported materials are the predominant causes of delays inship repair projects, so mitigation measures should be taken to prevent future delays.

Abstract

Traditional boat are quite important means of transportation in the Riau Islands because of their natural contours consisting of islands. Boat is the main transportation and also lest costs because it only uses simple technology and simple maintenance. This paper is aims to investigate the traditional boat of Riau's curiosity. It is used to find the things that must be prepared with possible dangers arising from the stability of the boat. This research was conducted by collecting data on the main dimension of the traditional boats used in the Riau Islands. From the main dimensions, measurements are made of the shape of the vessel using digital equipment (infrared) combined with simple equipment to obtain maximum results. From the measurement results, then the simulation is carried out using software with several criteria to get the desired results. From the research results, it is found that the boat still has adequate stability on the: lightweight condition, lightweight with 1 person on board and engine, lightweight with one person onboard with engine and even load. In the future, research will continue to simulate loading when the boat will be used to transport people, luggage with variations in wave angle and boat direction.

Abstract

Due to the use of fossil fuels in recent decades, maritime researchers and stakeholders have started to become concerned about energy efficiency and environmental protection. The larger social and economic facets of society may suffer as a result of these problems. In an effort to offer a remedy, this research created the B-Solar Wings, the double axis retractable solar panel mechanism design concept for harbor tug applications. B-Solar Wings was created using a variety of strategies to make the most of harbour tugs' constrained space for solar energy absorption while taking into account challenging ergonomic and safety concepts. B-Solar Wings can assemble 7 solar panel units for a total power of 3150 based on the design results. In order to assess the viability of stability brought on by the installation and use of solar panels, this study also offers a modeling analysis. The B-Solar Wings are stable in terms of stability, according to the results of the modeling and validation with the guidelines stated in IMO A. 749 (18). The minimum required value for one of the categories, code 3.1.2.1: Area 0 to 30, is 3.15 m.deg, and the harbour tug's stability value is 17.11 m.deg in the folded position and 17.10 m.deg in the full-open position. Solar energy produced by solar panels can be stored in a battery and integrated into the main distribution panel through multiple stages of voltage conversion and stabilization in the power system for B-Solar Wings.

Abstract

Pandemi menjadi bagian dari sejarah yang terjadi di negara Indonesia. Salah satu pademi yang pernah terjadi adalah penyebaran covid19 yang terjadi pada tahun 2019 sampai dengan 2022. Awalnya penyebaran virus hanya ada di titik tertentu, namun karena beberapa hal, penyebarannya bertambah. Penyebaran Covid19 semakin meluas dan menambah  panjang daftar pasien yang harus melaksanakan isolasi mandiri maupun perawatan di rumah sakit. Ketersediaan alat dan pembiasaan masyarakat dalam penerapan prokes perlu ditingkatkan guna meminimalisir penyebaran. Mencuci tangan merupakan salah satu prokes yang harus dilakukan, dimana Politeknik Negeri Batam ikut berpartisipasi dalam bentuk pembuatan Alat cuci tangan Foot Operated (AFO). Alat ini merupakan modifikasi dari alat cuci tangan konvensional dengan perbedaan kontrol pengeluaran sabun dan aliran air yang berasal dari injakan kaki pengguna . Dari hasil pembuatan, alat dengan dimensi 1140x660x1670mm dapat bekerja sesuai dengan desain yang direncanakan dan alat tersebut dapat digunakan oleh masyarakat sekitar. Dengan alat ini diharapkan dapat membantu mengurangi penyebaran covid19 sehingga pandemi yang terjadi hampir di antero negeri dapat teratasi dari langkah dan perbuatan kecil yang kami lakukan ini.

Abstract

This study aims to test the performance of the Batam Marine Ambulance model as a medical and logistics support fleet using the comparison ship method. A series of stability and motion analysis processes were carried out, then the results were assessed to determine the best design among the proposed design options. Performance tests used three ship models (Model I, Model II, and Model III). It is known that in the stability test, the tilt angle of model III is 33.63° and the maximum GZ value is 4.673 cm. Then, in the resistance test, Model I has a lower resistance of 87.29 N and the required power is 1496.93 W compared to the other proposed models. In the seakeeping test, Model III was found to be more stable or less affected on all surface conditions because the RAO value was relatively lower, namely 90o in terms of heaving, rolling, and pitching at 135o and 180o then had lower additional resistance. The Model III design has good ship stability, drag, and seakeeping characteristics.

Abstract

The high demand for drafters provides new opportunities in the world of education. Many prospective students who do not pass the educational entrance selection try to find a credible institution to accommodate the needs of a competency training institution. Batam State Polytechnic is trying to take a role by providing microcredential classes which have a skills certification output for its students. This program was tried by carrying out community service activities as a form of initiation of microcredential class activities. The service method is implemented using; direct meetings / via zoom meetings, students will be given guidance to complete assignments and carry out practical work on campus. It is hoped that this service with the theme of drawing using a computer, which is carried out online and offline, will bring benefits to students. Basic K3 is also provided as a form of commitment to prioritizing safety at work. The activity output obtained includes: increasing students' skills and knowledge, participants also know more about Polibatam as a vocational campus in Batam and produce additional output in the form of learning modules, videos and posters. The training also received a positive and good response from students so that it might then be developed and continued again.

Abstract

Kota Batam merupakan daerah dengan julukan kota industri. Sejak setelah bertranformasi menjadi kawasan industri kota Batam memiliki berbagai macam indutri yang dibangun, sehingga terbuka banyak peluang kerja yang tersedia. Salah satu keberlanjutan yang perlu didukung yaitu ketersediaan tenaga kerja terampil yang memiliki kompetensi dibidang keteknikan. Gambar dan penggunaan software CAD menjadi salah satu kompetensi yang perlu dipenuhi oleh masyarakat. Upaya menyediakan tenaga kerja terampil dapat dilihat dari tersedianya sekolah menengah kejuruan. Meskipun demikian, keterbatasan fasilitas praktik menjadi salah satu kendala yang dihadapi sebagian sekolah dalam melaksanakan layanan pendidikannya. Kegiatan Pelatihan Penggunaan Software AutoCAD kepada siswa/i SMK Kota Batam Tahun 2024 kemudian hadir menjadi salah satu solusi untuk dapat membantu sekolah dalam meningkat mutu pendidikan vokasi di Kota Batam. Pelatihan ini didanai secara internal oleh Politeknik Negeri Batam dan telah dilaksanakan di Politeknik Negeri Batam pada 23 – 26 Juli 2024. Adapun mitra peserta pengabdian ini adalah dari siswa dan guru SMK S Aljabar Batam, SMK S Kartini, SMK N 9 Batam. Beberapa luaran yang telah diselesaikan pada kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah terselenggaranya kegiatan dan penyusunan modul pelatihan. pemberitaan pada media masa, HKI modul, poster dan video kegiatan.
