Abstract

The aim of this paper is to redefine building switching intentions by analyzing the concept of consumer switching intentions. The study of consumer switching intentions was carried out by identifying the definition of consumer switching intentions. The problem raised in this paper consists of the perception of switching intention which consists of different definitions of switching intention from each research result (Gupta et al., 2004), (Anton et al., 2007), (Nikbin et al., 2013), (CN Lin & Wang, 2017), (Liang et al., 2018), (Aw & Chong, 2019), and (Bölen, 2020). This paper takes the method of comparing the concept of consumer switching intentions from many researchers who have had their research validated. The ramifications of this study's findings will serve as a point of reference for a number of investigations, resulting in the identification of each definition of consumer switching intents. This paper's unique contribution will redefine the concept of consumer switching intent.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the human resource (HR) development efforts at BUMDes Bersama Betara in Mekar Jaya, Tanjung Jabung Barat, in 2024, focusing on the implementation of educational and training methods. The research uses a qualitative descriptive approach, with data collected through interviews, observations, and documentation from key informants, including BUMDes managers and staff. The findings reveal that the educational method faced challenges due to poor communication and teamwork, leading to delays in daily operations and mishandling of customer goods. These issues stemmed from inadequate supervision and a lack of professionalism, where personal conflicts disrupted the development process. Similarly, the training method showed limited improvements, with persistent production errors and low employee initiative, primarily caused by fatigue and insufficient focus during work-hour training sessions. Overall, both HR development methods were found to be suboptimal, highlighting the need for future program adjustments, including clearer professional standards and better scheduling. This research provides insights for enhancing HR strategies in village-owned enterprises like BUMDes.

Abstract

This study investigates the impact of the work environment (WE), workplace communication (WC), and management policies (MP) on employee productivity (EP), with employee motivation (EM) acting as a moderating variable. The research was conducted at PT. Agro Lestari, utilizing a quantitative approach and total sampling of 30 employees. Data were collected through structured questionnaires and analyzed using Smart PLS (Partial Least Squares) to assess both direct and indirect relationships between the variables. The results show that WE, WC, and MP have significant direct effects on EP, while EM enhances these effects through mediation. The work environment and effective communication were found to significantly increase employee motivation, which in turn improves productivity. Additionally, fair and transparent management policies play a crucial role in motivating employees, further driving their performance. The findings highlight the importance of fostering a supportive work environment, clear communication channels, and sound management policies to enhance employee productivity, particularly in sectors like agriculture.

Abstract

This study examines the impact of employee training on employee productivity and performance at PT Kawasan Industri Wijayakusuma (Persero), considering the mediating role of incentives. Utilizing a quantitative research design, the study employed a total sampling technique, gathering data from 50 employees. Path analysis was conducted using Smart PLS to evaluate direct and indirect effects. The findings reveal significant direct relationships between and both and Perf, with coefficients of 0.300 and 0.280, respectively. Furthermore, the analysis showed significant indirect effects, with coefficients of 0.180 for and 0.150 for Perf through. These results indicate that effective training enhances productivity and performance not only directly but also indirectly by increasing employee motivation through incentives. The study underscores the necessity of integrating training and incentive systems to maximize organizational outcomes. By fostering a supportive environment for learning and recognition, organizations can improve employee engagement and overall performance.

Abstract

This study examines the impact of ethical leadership practices, organizational culture, and employee engagement on the business growth of Gojek’s driver-partners and merchant partners in Padang. Using a quantitative approach, data were collected from a sample of 63 participants through random sampling. The analysis, conducted using SPSS, included t-tests, F-tests, and R² tests to assess the relationships between the independent variables (ethical leadership, organizational culture, and employee engagement) and the dependent variable (business growth). The results show that ethical leadership practices, organizational culture, and employee engagement have a significant positive influence on business growth, collectively explaining 58.5% of its variance. Ethical leadership emerged as the strongest predictor, followed by organizational culture and employee engagement. The findings suggest that fostering ethical, transparent leadership and a positive organizational culture, alongside encouraging active partner engagement, are crucial for the sustainable growth of Gojek’s driver-partners and merchants. This research provides practical insights for platform-based companies on improving partnership management strategies. However, further investigation is needed to explore additional factors influencing business growth in the gig economy context.

Abstract

Abstract

Financial risk management plays a crucial role in ensuring the stability and resilience of financial markets. Traditional models, such as Value at Risk (VaR) and Monte Carlo simulations, have been widely used to assess risks; however, they often fail to account for complex, dynamic interactions between market participants. This paper explores the application of Agent-Based Models (ABMs) as an innovative approach to financial risk assessment. ABMs simulate the interactions between heterogeneous agents, such as investors, banks, and regulators, providing a more realistic representation of financial systems. The study highlights the strengths of ABMs in capturing systemic risks, non-linear dynamics, and emergent phenomena like market crashes, herd behavior, and contagion. The results demonstrate that ABMs can enhance the understanding of financial risk by modeling individual behaviors and their impact on market stability. Through simulation experiments, the paper shows how ABMs can complement traditional risk management tools by providing deeper insights into the systemic nature of financial crises. The findings suggest that ABMs offer valuable advantages over conventional models, particularly in assessing market volatility and the resilience of financial institutions. This research contributes to the growing body of literature advocating for the integration of ABMs into financial risk management frameworks.
