Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini ini untuk mengetahui perbedaan hasil belajar siswa dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe jigsaw dan konvensional dan mengetahui besar perbedaan hasil belajar siswa dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe jigsaw dan konvensional. Jenis  dari penelitian ini adalah eksperimen tipe control group pretest–posttest  design. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 5 Kota Ternate yang berjumlah 60 siswa yang terdiri dari 2 kelas. Setelah diperoleh 2 kelas sebagai sampel dalam penelitian, kemudian 2 kelas diacak untuk dapat menentukan kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol. Teknik yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah teknik tes. Soal–soal tes yangdigunakan dalam penelitian adalah dalam bentuk essay yang terdiri dari 15 butir soal dengan skor maksimum 80. Data hasil penelitian dianalisis dengan menggunakan statistik uji kesamaan dua rata-rata (Uji-t).Hasil analisis data diperoleh thit = 13,50 dengan dk = 58 dan taraf signifikan = 0,05 diperoleh ttab = 2,00. Hasil perhitungan data menunjukkan bahwa thit ttab atau 13,50 2,00 pada taraf signifikan 5% dengan demikian H0 ditolak dan Ha diterima. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat peningkatan hasil belajar siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 5 Kota Ternate pada konsep getaran dan gelombang dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Jigsaw dan konvensional yang dapat dilihat dari hasil analisis uji-t, sedangkan besarnya peningkatan hasil belajar siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 5 Kota Ternate pada konsep getaran dan gelombang yang diajarkan dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe tipe Jigsaw dan konvensional dapat dilihat dari besar selisih nilai danyaitu 65,013atau 21,24%.

Abstract

The rapid advancement of technology has led students to prefer digital learning materials over traditional textbooks. However, at SMP Negeri 1 Kota Ternate, science teaching materials remain limited to conventional textbooks, with minimal integration of digital resources. This study aims to develop a science e-book utilizing the Project-Based Learning (PjBL) model integrated with the Pancasila Student Profile to enhance student engagement and understanding. Employing a Research and Development (R&D) approach, the study followed the ADDIE model, comprising analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The e-book was validated by two lecturers and two science teachers, with assessments focusing on content and language aspects. Results indicated an average validity score of 79%, categorizing the e-book as moderately valid. Field trials showed that students found the e-book easy to use, with practicality scores averaging 3.20 from teachers and 3.00 from students. The integration of PjBL and the Pancasila Student Profile in the e-book facilitated student-centered learning, promoting critical thinking, collaboration, and creativity. These findings suggest that the developed science e-book is a suitable and effective digital learning resource for enhancing science education at the secondary level.

Abstract

Students’ learning outcomes in the topic of heat and its changes are often limited by difficulties in understanding and analyzing thermal concepts. This study aims to analyze students’ learning outcomes based on four cognitive indicators: remembering (C1), understanding (C2), applying (C3), and analyzing (C4), as well as to identify individual student performance through two rounds of testing. This research used a descriptive quantitative approach involving 30 seventh-grade students, with six students selected as subjects for deeper analysis. Data were obtained through written tests administered twice and analyzed descriptively. The results showed that students achieved very good performance in the remembering indicator (95%) and good to very good performance in the understanding (75%) and applying indicators (80%). However, performance in the analyzing indicator remained low (60%), indicating that students’ higher-order cognitive skills are not yet adequately developed. Individual analysis further showed that most students fell into the fair category. The novelty of this study lies in the combined use of indicator-based and individual learning outcome analyses with repeated measurements, allowing a clearer picture of students’ cognitive strengths and weaknesses. Overall, these findings highlight the need for learning strategies that promote analytical thinking to improve student outcomes in the topic of heat and its changes.
