Abstract

Mass circumcision often induces anxiety in children, potentially affecting their experience and recovery process. This community service initiative aimed to optimize children's mental preparedness and reduce pre-mass circumcision anxiety through educational and interactive play interventions. The activity took place in Nagwen Village, Klaten Regency, Central Java, involving 41 children aged 7-11 years. The approach employed included interactive educational sessions on the circumcision procedure, its benefits, and strategies for managing discomfort, interspersed with relevant educational games. Additionally, simple relaxation techniques and open question-and-answer sessions were implemented to create a safe and comfortable environment for the children.Observational results indicated an increase in children's understanding of the circumcision process and a significant reduction in anxiety indicators, such as restlessness and repetitive questioning. Children appeared calmer, more cooperative, and enthusiastic, and were able to undergo the circumcision procedure smoothly. Most experienced moderate anxiety with an average score of 6.97, as measured by a self-assessment questionnaire. This program demonstrates that education presented in an enjoyable manner, combined with interactive play, is highly effective in preparing children psychologically for circumcision. The recommendation for this activity is to integrate similar methods into every mass circumcision event to ensure a positive experience and support children's psychological well-being

Abstract

ABSTRAK Kekurangan Energi Kronik (KEK) menjadi salah satu permasalahan gizi yang sering dialami ibu hamil, terutama di wilayah perdesaan dengan akses informasi kesehatan yang terbatas. Rendahnya pemahaman mengenai kebutuhan nutrisi, tanda bahaya kehamilan, serta pentingnya pemeriksaan antenatal menjadi faktor yang berkontribusi terhadap tingginya angka KEK. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas edukasi berbasis board game dalam meningkatkan pemahaman ibu hamil terkait KEK dan kesehatan kehamilan. Desain penelitian menggunakan pra-eksperimen dengan pendekatan one group pretest-posttest yang melibatkan 10 ibu hamil trimester II–III di Puskesmas Ngargoyoso, Karanganyar. Media edukasi yang digunakan adalah Board Game Spin Wheel. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pemahaman pada seluruh responden. Secara keseluruhan, terjadi peningkatan pemahaman sebesar 80% setelah diberikan intervensi. Media board game efektif digunakan sebagai metode edukasi dalam meningkatkan pemahaman ibu hamil mengenai KEK, nutrisi kehamilan, dan tanda bahaya kehamilan, serta berpotensi menjadi strategi edukatif yang aplikatif dalam upaya pencegahan KEK di tingkat layanan kesehatan primer. Kata Kunci: Board game, Ibu Hamil, Kekurangan Energi Kronik.  ABSTRACT Chronic Energy Deficiency (CED) is one of the nutritional problems commonly experienced by pregnant women, particularly in rural areas with limited access to health information. Low levels of understanding regarding nutritional needs, danger signs of pregnancy, and the importance of antenatal care contribute to the high prevalence of CED. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of board-game-based education in improving pregnant women’s understanding of CED and maternal health. The study employed a pre-experimental design with a one-group pretest–posttest approach involving 10 pregnant women in their second to third trimester at Ngargoyoso Public Health Center, Karanganyar. The educational media used was the Spin Wheel Board Game. The findings showed an increase in understanding among all participants. Overall, there was an 80% improvement in knowledge after the intervention was provided. The board-game media proved effective as an educational method for enhancing pregnant women’s understanding of CED, pregnancy nutrition, and danger signs of pregnancy, and has the potential to serve as an applicable educational strategy for preventing CED in primary healthcare settings. Keywords: Board Game, Chronic Energy Deficiency, Pregnant Women.

Abstract

Abstrak: Pemberian ASI eksklusif selama enam bulan pertama kehidupan bayi merupakan salah satu intervensi paling efektif dalam mencegah stunting. Namun, cakupan ASI eksklusif di Indonesia masih belum optimal, antara lain akibat kurangnya pengetahuan ibu mengenai teknik menyusui dan penyimpanan ASI yang benar. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan meningkatkan pemahaman ibu bayi usia 0–6 bulan mengenai praktik menyusui yang sesuai standar kesehatan. Edukasi dilakukan melalui ceramah interaktif, demonstrasi menggunakan boneka payudara dan phantom bayi, diskusi kelompok kecil, serta distribusi booklet dan video edukatif pada 35 ibu bayi di Posyandu wilayah kerja Puskesmas Ngoresan... Evaluasi keberhasilan edukasi dilakukan dengan menggunakan kuesioner pre-test dan post-test sebanyak 10 soal. Hasil evaluasi menunjukkan peningkatan skor pengetahuan dari rata-rata 7,9 menjadi 9,4. Peserta juga menunjukkan antusiasme tinggi dalam sesi tanya jawab dan praktik. Edukasi ini dirasakan sangat bermanfaat, terutama bagi ibu bekerja yang membutuhkan pengetahuan tentang pemerahan dan penyimpanan ASI. Rencana pengabdian selanjutnya akan difokuskan pada edukasi MPASI sehat dan pelatihan pijat bayi sebagai bagian dari penguatan menyeluruh praktik pengasuhan berbasis keluarga.Abstract: Exclusive breastfeeding during the first six months of life is one of the most effective interventions for preventing stunting. However, its coverage in Indonesia remains suboptimal, partly due to limited maternal knowledge of correct breastfeeding techniques and proper breast milk storage. This community service aimed to improve the understanding of mothers with infants aged 0–6 months regarding standard breastfeeding practices. Activities included interactive lectures, demonstrations breast and infant mannequins, small group discussions, and distribution of booklets and educational videos to 35 mothers at the Posyandu within the working area of Ngoresan Public Health Center. The effectiveness of the educational intervention was evaluated using a 10-question pre-test and post-test questionnaire. The results showed an increase in average knowledge scores from 7.9 to 9.4. Participants showed strong enthusiasm during both Q&A and practical sessions. The session was found especially useful by working mothers who require knowledge on milk expression and safe storage. Future community programs will focus on healthy complementary feeding (MPASI) education and infant massage training as a comprehensive approach to strengthening family-based child care practices.

Abstract

Abstrak: Pemerintah Kota Surakarta memiliki program zero stunting pada tahun 2024. Sayangnya, masih ditemukan kasus stunting di Kota Surakarta. Salah satu penyebabnya yaitu kurangnya pengetahuan ibu terhadap pencegahan stunting. Tujuan kegiatan ini yaitu terjadi peningkatan pengetahuan ibu setelah dilakukan kegiatan ini sehingga diharapkan dapat mempercepat capaian zero stunting dan membentuk generasi sehat. Metode kegiatan ini dikemas dalam bentuk penyuluhan dengan menggunakan media leaflet. Mitra kegiatan ini yaitu ibu yang memiliki balita di Desa Jebres, sebanyak 19 orang. Evaluasi kegiatan dilakukan untuk mengetahui perubahan pengetahuan peserta menggunakan kuesioner dengan 10 pertanyaan pilihan ganda. Evaluasi dilakukan sebelum dan setelah penyuluhan diberikan. Hasil kegiatan ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat peningkatan skor pengetahuan peserta sebesar 30 (rerata skor pretest sebesar 60 dan rerata skor posttest sebesar 90). Berdasarkan hal tersebut, diharapkan dapat menjadi agenda tetap yang dilakukan oleh posyandu balita dan pihak desa dalam rangka menurunkan angka kejadian stunting di wilayah tersebut. Abstract: The Surakarta City Government has a zero stunting program by 2024. Unfortunately, cases of stunting are still found in the City of Surakarta. One of the causes is the mother's lack of knowledge regarding stunting prevention. The aim of this activity is to improve maternal technology after carrying out this activity so that it is hoped that it can accelerate the achievement of zero stunting and form a healthy generation. This activity method is packaged in the form of counseling using leaflet media. The partners for this activity are 19 mothers who have toddlers in Jebres Village. Evaluation activities were carried out to determine changes in participants' knowledge using a questionnaire. Evaluation is carried out before and after the counseling is given. The results of this activity showed that there was an increase in the participants' knowledge scores by 30 (average pretest score was 60 and average posttest score was 90). Based on this, it is hoped that this can become a permanent agenda carried out by the toddler posyandu and the village in order to reduce the incidence of stunting in the area.

Abstract

Abstrak:Stunting merupakan kondisi anak dengan tinggi atau panjang badan berada di bawah -2 standar deviasi (SD) menurut umur dari median standar pertumbuhan anak yang dikeluarkan oleh World Health Organization. Stunting masih menjadi masalah yang masih menjadi perhatian negara, terutama di negara berpenghasilan rendah dan menengah seperti Indonesia. Salah satu penyebabnya adalah kurangnya pengetahuan mengenai cara pemberian MPASI yang tepat. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan kader posyandu tentang praktik pemberian MPASI yang tepat dengan metode edukasi ceramah edukatif. Mitra dari kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat kader posyandu sejumlah 20 kader di wilayah kerja puskesmas Ngoresan, Surakarta. Kegiatan edukasi ini diharapkan mampu menjadi tombak awal pemutus rantai stunting di Indonesia melalui kader posyandu. Evaluasi kegiatan menunjukkan peningkatan nilai pretest dengan rata-rata 8,7 menjadi nilai posttest rata-rata 9,2 yang diukur menggunakan kuesioner berisi 10 pertanyaan pilihan ganda terkait materi edukasi. Peningkatan pengetahuan kader ini dirasa sangat bermanfaat dan diharapkan dapat menjadi dampak jangka panjang yang dapat disalurkan kepada ibu balita di wilayah kerjanya.Abstract: Stunting is a condition in which a child's height or length falls below -2 standard deviations (SD) for age from the median child growth standards issued by the World Health Organization. Stunting remains a problem of national concern, especially in low- and middle-income countries like Indonesia. One cause is a lack of knowledge about the proper provision of complementary foods. This community service activity aims to improve the knowledge of integrated health post (Posyandu) cadres about the proper practice of providing complementary foods through educational lectures. The community service partners for this Posyandu cadre are 20 cadres in the Ngoresan Community Health Center, Surakarta. This educational activity is expected to be the first spearhead in breaking the chain of stunting in Indonesia through Posyandu cadres. The activity evaluation is assessed from the increase in pretest scores from an average of 8.7 to an average posttest score of 9.2. This increase in cadre knowledge is considered very beneficial and is expected to have a long-term impact that can be channeled to mothers of toddlers in the work area.

Abstract

ABSTRAK Masalah gizi ganda pada anak usia sekolah dasar masih menjadi tantangan serius di Indonesia ditandai dengan tingginya prevalensi stunting, gizi kurang, serta obesitas. Kondisi ini menunjukkan rendahnya literasi kesehatan anak yang berdampak pada pola makan, kebersihan diri, dan aktivitas fisik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan literasi kesehatan anak sekolah dasar melalui program edukasi pola hidup sehat dengan media interaktif Kartu Sehatserta mengkaji keterkaitannya dengan pencapaian tujuan Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Metode pelaksanaan kegiatan ini yaitu edukasi dengan menggunakan pendekatan partisipatif yang melibatkan siswa dalam setiap tahapannya. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan signifikan pada aspek pengetahuan (dari 55% menjadi 85%), sikap (dari 60% menjadi 88%), dan keterampilan praktik pola hidup sehat (dari 50% menjadi 82%) setelah intervensi. Anak-anak mampu memahami pentingnya pola makan bergizi, menjaga kebersihan diri, serta melakukan aktivitas fisik secara rutin. Simpulan dari program ini, media edukatif berbasis Kartu Sehat efektif dalam meningkatkan literasi kesehatan anak SD, sekaligus mendukung pencapaian SDGs melalui penguatan perilaku hidup sehat dan penerapan pembelajaran aktif yang menyenangkan. Kata Kunci: Edukasi Kesehatan, Kartu Sehat, Sdgs, Sekolah Dasar, Pola Hidup Sehat.  ABSTRACT The problem of multiple malnutrition in elementary school-aged children remains a serious challenge in Indonesia characterized by the high prevalence of stunting, malnutrition, and obesity. This condition indicates low health literacy in children, which impacts diet, personal hygiene, and physical activity. This study aims to improve health literacy in elementary school children through a healthy lifestyle education program using interactive Health Card media and examine its relationship to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The implementation method of this activity is education using a participatory approach that involves students at every stage. The results of the study showed a significant increase in knowledge (from 55% to 85%), attitudes (from 60% to 88%), and healthy lifestyle practice skills (from 50% to 82%) after the intervention. Children were able to understand the importance of a nutritious diet, maintaining personal hygiene, and engaging in regular physical activity. The conclusion of this program, educational media based on the Health Card is effective in improving health literacy in elementary school children, while supporting the achievement of the SDGs through strengthening healthy lifestyle behaviors and implementing fun, active learning. Keywords: Elementary School, Health Cards, Health Education, Healthy Lifestyle, SDGs.

ABSTRAK Stunting masih menjadi permasalahan kesehatan masyarakat di Indonesia dengan prevalensi yang belum mencapai target nasional. Salah satu faktor risiko utama stunting adalah asupan gizi yang tidak seimbang, termasuk rendahnya praktik pemberian ASI eksklusif. Kurangnya pengetahuan ibu, dukungan sosial, serta keterbatasan peran kader kesehatan menjadi hambatan dalam keberhasilan ASI eksklusif. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan kapasitas kader posyandu dalam memahami serta menyampaikan edukasi mengenai ASI eksklusif sebagai upaya pencegahan stunting. Kegiatan dilaksanakan dengan desain edukasi partisipatif melalui kelas kader menggunakan metode penyampaian materi, demonstrasi teknik menyusui menggunakan phantom bayi, diskusi interaktif, serta pembagian booklet edukatif. Evaluasi dilakukan menggunakan kuesioner pretest dan posttest untuk menilai perubahan pengetahuan kader. Hasil evaluasi menunjukkan rerata skor pengetahuan meningkat dari 8,8 pada pretest menjadi 9,3 pada posttest. Kader menunjukkan pemahaman yang lebih baik mengenai manfaat ASI eksklusif, teknik menyusui yang benar, serta perannya dalam mendampingi ibu menyusui di masyarakat. Kelas kader edukasi ASI efektif dalam meningkatkan pengetahuan dan kapasitas kader posyandu. Penguatan peran kader melalui edukasi berbasis partisipatif berpotensi mendukung peningkatan praktik ASI eksklusif dan menjadi strategi penting dalam upaya pencegahan stunting secara berkelanjutan di tingkat komunitas. Kata Kunci: Stunting, ASI Eksklusif, Kader Posyandu, Edukasi Kesehatan, Pengabdian Masyarakat. ABSTRACT Stunting remained a public health problem in Indonesia, with prevalence rates that had not yet achieved national targets. One of the primary risk factors for stunting was inadequate nutritional intake, including low adherence to exclusive breastfeeding practices. Limited maternal knowledge, insufficient social support, and constrained involvement of community health cadres constituted major barriers to the successful implementation of exclusive breastfeeding. This community service activity aimed to improve the knowledge and capacity of posyandu cadres in understanding and delivering education on exclusive breastfeeding as a strategy for stunting prevention. The activity was conducted using a participatory educational design through a cadre education class. The methods included structured lectures, demonstrations of proper breastfeeding techniques using an infant mannequin, interactive discussions, and the distribution of educational booklets. Evaluation was performed using pretest and posttest questionnaires to assess changes in cadres’ knowledge. The evaluation results indicated an increase in the mean knowledge score from 8.8 in the pretest to 9.3 in the posttest. The cadres demonstrated improved understanding of the benefits of exclusive breastfeeding, correct breastfeeding techniques, and their roles in supporting breastfeeding mothers within the community. The exclusive breastfeeding cadre education class was effective in enhancing the knowledge and capacity of posyandu cadres. Strengthening the role of cadres through participatory-based educational interventions had the potential to support improved exclusive breastfeeding practices and represented an important strategy for sustainable stunting prevention at the community level. Keywords: Stunting, Exclusive Breastfeeding, Posyandu Cadres, Health Education, Community Service.

Abstract

Masa pemberian MP-ASI pada bayi usia 6–12 bulan merupakan periode kritis yang memerlukan pengetahuan pemenuhan kebutuhan gizi yang memadai untuk mencegah masalah tumbuh kembang. Kegiatan ini bertujuan menguji pengaruh edukasi gizi bayi yang interaktif dalam meningkatkan pengetahuan peserta, serta melatih sensorik dan motorik bayi melalui sensory play. Kegiatan dilaksanakan dengan metode kombinasi penyuluhan, diskusi interaktif, dan demonstrasi menggunakan media, serta evaluasi pemahaman menggunakan pre-test dan post-test. Hasil menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan skor pemahaman peserta dari rata-rata 6/10 menjadi 8,7/10 setelah edukasi, disertai perubahan sikap positif terhadap pemberian MP-ASI yang tepat dan kesadaran nutrisi, serta efektivitas sensory play sebagai stimulasi bayi. Dengan demikian, penyuluhan gizi dan metode stimulasi seperti sensory play berperan penting dalam meningkatkan pengetahuan ibu tentang gizi bayi, pemahaman yang lebih baik tentang praktik MP-ASI dan peran ASI, serta efektivitas stimulasi perkembangan bayi secara holistik.

Abstract

ABSTRAK Prevalensi overweight pada remaja Indonesia masih tinggi, dipengaruhi faktor sosial ekonomi, pola makan tidak seimbang, serta gaya hidup sedentari. Upaya pencegahan melalui edukasi gizi dengan pendekatan fun learning dinilai efektif untuk meningkatkan kesadaran remaja dalam mencegah kejadian overweight. Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan gizi siswa terkait hubungan pola makan atau kualitas gizi dengan kejadian overweightpada remaja, melalui penyuluhan dengan metode fun learning serta mengetahui pengaruhnya terhadap perubahan pengetahuan siswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain pretest dan posttest. Subjek kegiatan adalah 21 siswa kelas XI SMK Kristen 1 Surakarta. Intervensi berupa penyuluhan gizi serta dengan metode fun learning yang melibatkan permainan edukatif, diskusi interaktif, dan media visual. Hasil pretest menunjukkan hanya 66,7% dari siswa yang memiliki pemahaman yang memadai terkait pola makan remaja. Setelah diberikan penyuluhan, hasil posttest menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan, dengan seluruh peserta mencapai nilai 100%. Penyuluhan dengan metode fun learning terbukti efektif dalam meningkatkan pengetahuan gizi siswa SMK, khususnya terkait pentingnya pola makan yang sehat pada masa remaja. Kata Kunci: Remaja, Pola Makan, Penyuluhan, Overweight, Gizi.  ABSTRACT The prevalence of overweight among Indonesian adolescents remains high, influenced by socioeconomic factors, unbalanced dietary patterns, and sedentary lifestyles. Preventive efforts through nutrition education with a fun learning approach are considered effective in raising adolescents’ awareness to prevent overweight. This activity aimed to improve students’ nutritional knowledge regarding the relationship between dietary patterns and the incidence of overweight in adolescents through nutrition counseling using the fun learning method, as well as to determine its effect on students' knowledge. This study employed a quantitative approach with a pretest-posttest design. The subjects were 21 eleventh-grade students from SMK Kristen 1 Surakarta. The intervention consisted of nutrition education using the fun learning method, which involved educational games, interactive discussions, and visual media.  The pretest results showed that only 66.7% of students had adequate understanding of adolescent eating patterns. After the counseling, the posttest results showed a significant improvement, with all participants achieving a perfect score of 100%. Nutrition counselling using the fun learning method proved to be effective in increasing students knowledge of nutrition, particularly regarding the importance of healthy eating patterns during adolescence. Keywords: Overweight, Nutrition, Eating Pattern, Counselling, Adolescent.

Abstract

Background: The outbreak of the corona virus (Covid-19) poses challenges for educational institutions, especially those based on clinical practice skills. E-learning is one of the best solutions for distance learning to protect students and teaching staff from the transmission of the Covid-19 virus. The DIII Midwifery Study Program curriculum consists of 40% theory and 60% practice. The study program manager determines practical learning using learning videos. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the practical e-learning model on K.A.P (Affective Psychomotor Cognitive) in midwifery students in the era of the Covid-19 pandemic.Methods: This reseach was a cross-sectional conducted on May-July, 2021. Cognitive assessment used multiple choice questions (MCQ), affective assessment used a self-assessment scale questionnaire that was valid and reliable (0.877> 0.235), Student psychomotor assessment was carried out using Skills checklist assessment sheet.Result: The results showed the significance value of each variable (0.001 <0.05) which means that there is an influence of the practical e-learning model on the cognitive, affective and psychomotor domains of students in the course of maternity midwifery care.Conclusion: There is an effect of practical e-learning model on the cognitive, affective, and psychomotor domains of the students after the practical of e-learning model
