Tandan kelapa sawit dapat diolah menjadi gula merah. Permasalahan pokokyang terindentifikasi adalah kurangnya pengetahuan pemilik usaha gula merah nira sawit ini tentang ilmu manajemen usaha dan ketarmpilan hidup. Sementara itu, pihak perangkat Desa, koperasi atau Badan Usaha Milik Kampung, majelis taklim, dan organisasi sosial lainnya kurang mendukung aktifitas usaha ini, meskipun prospek usaha gula merah nira sawit sangat menjanjikan. Pembinaan manajemen usaha yang dilakukan meliputi kegiatan perencanaan, pengorganisasian, pengarahan, dan pengendalian. Pembinaan Manajemen life skill yang dilakukan meliputi (1) kecakapan personal; (2) kecakapan sosial (3) kecakapan akademik; dan (4) kecakapan vokasional. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah angket respon peserta dengan analisis data menggunakan Teknik analisis deskriptif. Hasil kegiatan diperoleh bahwa tingkat daya serap terhadap kegiatan pembinaan manajemen life skill usaha gula merah nira sawit di Maredan Barat Kecamatan Tualang Kabupaten Siak tergolong sedang, yaitu dengan Nilai Mean 3,99.

Pemberdayaan masyarakat melalui perpustakaan desa berbasis inklusi sosial ditujukan untuk mengoptimalkan pemanfaatan fasilitas seperti taman baca masyarakat oleh semua kalangan di desa Sibuak. Selain itu, inklusi sosial disini juga bertujuan agar yang memanfaatkan fasilitas perpustakaan desa tidak hanya masyarakat desa Sibuak saja tetapi juga masyarakat dari desa-desa di sekitarnya. Pelaksanaan program pemberdayaan ini terdiri dari beberapa tahapan yang meliputi: 1) rekonsiderasi; 2) investigasi/pebgamatan ; 3) persiapan; 4) pelakasanaan; dan 5) evaluasi dengan cara mendokumentasikan, membuat laporan kegiatan, mempublikasikan dalam bentuk artikel maupun publikasi media massa. Hasil survey kepuasan mitra menunjukkan bahwa sangat baik.Pelaksanaan kegiatan dan penyampaian materi pemberdayaan masyarakat melalui perpustakaan desa berbasis inklusi sosial sudah terlaksana dengan baik, dengan tingkat daya serap peserta terhadap materi pengabdian masyarakat diketahui daya serap peserta sudah tergolong baik, yaitu 78,83% dan daya Serap Peserta terhadap Materi inklusi sosial sudah tergolong baik, yaitu 78,00%.

Creative Problem Solving (CPS) model is a model that supports students to develop creative thinking skills. However, this model is still not widely used in classroom learning, especially junior high school. Therefore, in its application, there is a possibility that the teacher will experience several obstacles which become in the implementation of increasing students' creative thinking skills using this model. This type of research is descriptive research. The object of this research is class VII.1 for the 2022/2023 academic year. Data collection techniques were obtained from observation, interviews, and student responses in writing regarding the constraints during the use of the Moodle-assisted CPS model on temperature and heat material at SMPN 1 Perhentian Raja. The obstacles encountered in the implementation of this research were 1) the initial use of Moodle which may be new to most students, so it needs to be introduced first, 2) in the first learning activity, junior high school students still had difficulty identifying what was the problem in the reading material presented 3) at the beginning of the activity students tend to provide at most 2 solutions, the teacher needs to provide a stimulus so that students can think more creatively to produce more ideas, 4) not all learning processes can be completed within 2 JP so it is necessary to consider the problems presented or additional time allotted.

The purpose of this research is to develop learning media that can improve students' Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) on the topic "circular motion". Therefore, its design is a research and development (R&D) study with 4D model (Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate). Experts were involved to validate the products that had been developed, which are teaching props and Student Worksheets (SWS), through a validation questionnaire. The collected data were then analyzed descriptively and qualitatively. The results showed that the total average of all aspects of the assessment was 81.8 which was included in the "very good" category. Based on this result, it can be concluded that the products developed, namely learning media for "circular motion" material, is suitable for use in the learning process to improve students' higher order thinking skills

Proses pembelajaran yang terjadi selama ini belum secara optimal mengembangkan kemampuan berpikir peserta didik. Pelaksanaan proses pembelajaran yang berlangsung saat ini diarahkan untuk peserta didik menghafal informasi dan latihan soal-soal yang disampaikan. Mengacu pada permasalahan ini maka seorang guru perlu melakukan inovasi-inovasi dalam pembelajaran sesuai dengan kebutuhan dan berkesinambungan. Salah satu upaya yang dapat dilakukan adalah dengan penerapan model pembelajaran POE dan game edukasi educandy. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penerapan model pembelajaran POE berbantukan game edukasi berbasis aplikasi educandy untuk meningkatkan pemahaman konsep peserta didik pada materi suhu dan kalor. Penelitian ini menggunakan jenis penelitian quasi experiment, dengan menggunakan jenis desain the nonequivalent control group design. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VII SMPN 25 Pekanbaru tahun ajaran 2021/2022 yang berjumlah 4 kelas yaitu sebanyak 128 siswa (kelas VII.1-VII.4), Sampel pada penelitian ini adalah kelas VII.1 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas VII.3 sebagai kelas kontrol. Lokasi penelitian ini adalah SMPN 25 Pekanbaru pada semester ganjil tahun ajaran 2021/2022 yang dimulai pada bulan September sampai Desember 2021. Data penelitian dikumpulkan dengan memberikan Test berupa pretest dan posttest yang berjumlah 28 soal. Penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa model pembelajaran POE berbantukan game edukasi berbasis aplikasi Educandy dapat meningkatkan pemahaman konsep peserta didik.

Computational thinking (CT) has gained attention in various levels of education, particularly in higher education. The importance of CT competency in problem-solving has led to the conclusion that CT needs to be developed through the learning process. Therefore, prospective teachers become the main target for enhancing CT competencies. The aim of this research is to conduct a systematic literature review on efforts to improve CT skills in pre-service teachers. The research method used is a comprehensive search of various databases, specifically Scopus, using the keywords "computational thinking of pre-service teacher" to obtain relevant articles. A total of 15 articles that present empirical results of the use of various applications and specific training methods were selected to address the research question. The research findings indicate that the most widely used applications in higher education to enhance students' problem-solving with computational thinking are Scratch, followed by Python and code.org. This application was chosen because it uses block-based programming, making it easier to use. Improving pre-service teachers' CT skills requires not only providing them with the ability to use the application but also equipping them with training on how to create educational content using the application, which they can later use in their teaching at schools.

The notion of pedagogical content knowledge (PCK) analysis disaster mitigation often been overlooked in the field of elementary school, because many teachers think that it is too early to practice the concept to student. This article attempts to explore elementary teachers’ understanding on PCK analysis. The method adopted in this research is case study. There were 16 elementary school teachers from six different schools in three different cities in province Riau, Indonesia, selected as participants. Data are collected through rubric the observations and interview using a grounded approach. Findings of this study highlight the extent to which elementary teachers are not yet ready to teach disaster mitigation due to their limited content knowledge and understanding of disaster mitigation. The findings also illuminate complexities faced by teachers in PCK in their teaching. The findings need school authorities must incorporate disaster mitigation materials into their teaching curriculum. Schools need to prepare teachers for teaching disaster mitigation by inviting first responders, such as firefighters, emergency service, or officials from National Board for Disaster Management. Finally, the teachers need to improve their understanding of disaster mitigation and their teaching technique to deliver the mitigation materials relevant to the students.

A good understanding of concepts is needed to prevent students from misunderstanding. One effort that can be done is to apply the POE (Predict-Observe-Explain) learning model with the help of the Educandy educational game. This study aims to measure the effect of applying the POE learning model with the help of Educandy educational game application to increase students’ conceptual understanding of temperature and heat subjects. This study was quasi-experimental design research, using the nonequivalent control group design. The population of this study was 128 junior high schools students of SMPN 25 Pekanbaru (Class VII.I-Class VII.4). The first class, VII.1, was used as the experimental class, the third class, VII.3, was used as the control class, while the other class was the generalization classes. Research instrument of pretest and post-test containing 28 questions was used. The result was processed by descriptive and interferential techniques using T-test. The data processing technique used was descriptive and inferential, using the t-test for N-gain as an evaluation method. The results of this study indicated that conceptual understanding in both classes had increased, but the average value of students’ conceptual understanding in the experimental class was higher than that in the control class. It was described on the data N-gain as 0.7 in the experiment and 0.3 in the control class. The results of the t-test show that the POE learning model assisted by educational games based on the Educandy application can significantly improve students’ understanding of concepts.

The Covid-19 outbreak has hampered all human activities, one of which is in learning activities. The Covid-19 outbreak that has lasted for a long time has forced the government to make a new policy, namely the new normal policy. This policy causes people to be able to do activities outside their homes but still maintain a distance, wear masks and always wash their hands. Even so, many schools continue to apply bold learning to prevent the transmission of Covid-19. However, the Pekanbaru Babussalam Middle School starting from the odd semester of 2020/2021 applies offline or face-to-face learning. This research is qualitative in nature to see the effectiveness of offline learning that takes place at Babussalam Junior High School Pekanbaru. Learning at the Pekanbaru Babussalam Middle School is carried out through several stages with the aim of not spreading COVID-19. The results of this study showed that the application of offline learning at Babussalam Junior High School Pekanbaru in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic went well.
