International community service (PKM) is a tangible form of university involvement in strengthening academic-based cooperative institutions. This activity was carried out through collaboration with ANGKASA Kuala Lumpur, the parent organization of cooperatives in Malaysia, which has long experience in the development of modern cooperatives. Community Service (PKM). This study involves the fields of economics, law, health, and technology, to identify best practices in the institutional management of cooperatives in higher education The purpose of the activity is to increase the capacity of cooperatives of universities in Indonesia through multidisciplinary synergy, covering the fields of economics, law, health, and technology. The implementation method includes literature studies, field observations, Focus Group Discussions (FGD), and the preparation of cooperative internationalization action plans. The results show that university cooperatives in Indonesia still face challenges in the form of limited governance, lack of innovation in business units, and low utilization of digital technology. Through collaboration with ANGKASA, a model of strengthening cooperatives, developing preventive health business units, implementing governance according to modern legal principles, and integrating digital technology for member services was obtained. In conclusion, international PKM is a strategic step to encourage Indonesian university cooperatives to be globally competitive. The findings show that cooperative digitalization systems, cross-field institutional integration, and strengthening of internal regulations are the foundations for the success of cooperatives in Malaysia. It provides strategic recommendations in strengthening the institution of academic cooperatives in Indonesia

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of quality of work life and organizational culture on the performance of educational staff, with commitment as a mediating variable in the Regional Education Office of Pesisir Selatan Regency, West Sumatra. The main problem addressed is low employee performance, potentially influenced by work life quality, organizational culture, and commitment levels. A quantitative causal approach was employed, using primary data from 78 respondents via questionnaires. Data were analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). The results indicate that organizational culture has a significant positive effect on performance, both directly and indirectly through commitment as a mediator. However, quality of work life has a positive but non-significant direct effect on performance, and commitment does not significantly mediate this relationship. Thus, commitment only mediates the link between organizational culture and performance. These findings suggest that strengthening organizational culture is more effective in enhancing performance through increased employee commitment.

Abstract

International Community Service (PKM) has carried out activities in cross-border collaboration, especially between cooperatives in Malaysia and Indonesia. Mock study activities and field visits to leading cooperatives such as ANGKASA Malaysia which stands for ANGKASA is (Angkatan Koperasi Kebangsaan Malaysia Berhad), This cooperative is the Malaysian national peak cooperative that oversees all types of cooperatives, functioning as a representative body of the Malaysian cooperative movement. Known for its very large membership scale (12 million+), focusing on the socioeconomic well-being of members, facilitating payroll deduction loans. and the service team digitally transformed with an updated credit and service ecosystem to face the modern era, becoming an example of a large cooperative that is actively developing the potential of cooperatives in Malaysia. The adoption of appropriate technology plays a significant role in the efficiency and productivity of cooperative business units. Through a mechanical engineering perspective, this team examines the potential for technology transfer that can be adapted by higher education cooperatives in Indonesia, including agricultural product processing systems, mechanization of production businesses, and automation of cooperative data management. The results of the study show that the simple but effective application of engineering techniques, such as the use of semi-automatic packaging machines and digital inventory systems, is able to increase the efficiency of cooperative work by up to 30%. These findings provide important recommendations for cross-border technology transfer strategies within the framework of cooperative-based economic strengthening. This article contributes to the development of transnational cooperative partnership models and the relevance of engineering in community economic empowerment through cooperatives.

Abstract

Employee performance is a critical factor in organizational success and is influenced by various psychological and behavioral factors. Among them, work motivation and job satisfaction play significant roles in shaping employee behavior and outcomes. However, the role of competency as mediating variable in this relationship has not been thoroughly explored. This study aims to identify and analyze the influence of job training and motivation on employee performance, with competency serving as a mediating variable.  This research uses a quantitative approach, involving 184 employees selected through probability sampling. Data were collected using a structured questionnaire and analyzed using Partial Least Squares-Structural Equation Modeling. The results indicate that job training not has direct effect (P = 0.207). However motivation (P = 0.001) has a direct, significant effect on employee performance. Likewise, job training (P = 0.040) and motivation (P = 0.000) has a direct influence on competency. Competency has a significant impact on performance (P = 0,000), and it mediates the effect of job training (P = 0.049) and motivation (P = 0.000) on employee performance. Competency plays a crucial mediating role in translating job training into improved employee performance
