Abstract

The philosophy of science-based scientific method refers to a research approach that not only relies on technical and systematic procedures,but is also based on philosophical principles that underline the understanding of knowledge, reality and truth. This research aims to examine and develop scientific research methods based on an understanding of the philosophy of science, leading to improved quality and understandability in the scientific research process. The main objective of this research is to identify the basic principles contained in the philosophy of science, as well as its application in a more comprehensive scientific method. This research was conducted using a qualitative approach, through literature review and analysis of philosophical concepts related to the scientific method. The research process involved an in-depth analysis of the theories and characteristics of philosophy of science, such as ontology, epistimology, methodology, ethical values, history, context, principles, theory, critical, reflective, and interdisciplinary. The results show that the philosophy of science approach can provide a more solid foundation in determining research methodology, strengthen the validity and objectivity of the results, and open space for critical thinking in dealing with the complexity of scientific problems. The novelty of this research lies in the development of integration between the scientific method and the values of philosophy of science that have been neglected so far, with the hope that it can improve the quality of scientific knowledge.

Abstract

Learning media and secondary school students and Junior High School students are interrelated, and the link between the two is the learning process itself. itself. The purpose of this research is to identify the characteristics of characteristics of interactive learning media suitable for junior high school students. The method used in this research is a literature study, which involves analyzing books, articles and other references. Abstract

The research uses a descriptive qualitative research approach. The data collection techniques used are observation and interviews. The subjects of this study are the vice principal of the student affairs section, operators, and students. The validity of the data was checked using extended participation data validation, observation persistence, and triangulation. The results of this study show that 1) The implementation of student administration at SMA Negeri 4 Palopo has been well structured starting from the admission of new students, the formation of committees to the welcoming of new students, the recording of students in the dapodik by the operator who is also responsible for the input of student data and school facilities, strict rules apply to all students including dressing, cleanliness, and the use of school facilities, being able to accept student transfers, arranging organizational activities to fully support activities carried out by the student council at school, to carrying out student graduation activities that have gone well. 2) Supporting factors in the implementation of student administration, namely the implementation of student administration, is supported by a strong commitment from all schools, namely teachers, staff to several students, starting from the admission of new students to the recording of alumni, as well as the availability of necessary facilities and infrastructure. The inhibiting factor is students who do not provide the requested data, thus hindering administrative staff.

Abstract

Nowadays, we can see that schools, both public and private, have been established in many villages and cities. Competition has also increased. These schools began competing to offer various advantages that can be obtained by the community, ranging from interesting activity programs, achievements that have been achieved, complete facilities to affordable prices. However, in the end, there were still schools that began to be quiet, and did not get students until they were forced to close. Although schools are non-profit institutions, they must still be managed professionally so that their purpose is to help educate the nation's children, improve the quality of human resources and create superior generations in the future can run optimally. In responding to this, a marketing strategy is needed, one of the techniques is to segment the market. Market segmentation in the context of educational services is an attempt to divide a heterogeneous market into more homogeneous groups. This can be done based on the same characteristics, interests, needs and level of socio-economic status. This research uses literature study techniques by searching for data and information through books and scientific journals. This research aims to contribute to the development of marketing strategies in the education sector and provide practical implications for managers of educational institutions in designing more effective marketing strategies.

Abstract

Mount Merapi, Tanah Datar Regency, West Sumatra is one of the active volcanoes in Indonesia, especially on the island of Sumatra. One of the dangers posed by active volcanoes after an eruption is cold lava. Merapi Volcano has many rivers that originate at the top of Merapi, such as Bukik Batabuah, Pua River, several rivers in Batipuah District. Cold lava is a secondary disaster that cannot be underestimated because the impact it causes is just as big as a primary disaster if it is not handled properly. This research was carried out by direct observation of the disaster area, namely the foot of Mount Marapi with purposive sampling. Therefore, it is necessary to map the areas affected by cold lava. The area affected by the lava flow was modeled and simulated by means of spatial analysis using the parameters of the volume of the lava flow, the starting point of the river, and the slope of the slope, with the aim of finding out how fast the lava flows towards the settlement. From the aftermath of the Mount Marapi disaster, the distribution of areas that have the potential for pyroclastic material to pass through, especially in river areas that originate at Volcano. The results of the distribution of affected land use and residential areas with a volume of 100 million m3 covering an area of ​​26,815 Ha. The widest distribution is in the rice field area of ​​12,475 Ha, the residential area of ​​6,745 Ha, the garden area of ​​5,264 Ha and the field area of ​​3,330 Ha.

Abstract

Literacy culture is an important element in developing students' reading skills, especially at the primary school level. GLS emphasizes the importance of literacy activities before starting lessons, by inviting students to read for 15 minutes at the beginning of the school day. In addition, schools are also encouraged to provide a variety of reading materials that are interesting and relevant to students' needs, so as to trigger their interest in reading. This research was conducted at SD Negeri 25/III Jujun Village by using the subject of all students at SD Negeri 25/III Jujun Village. The approach used in this research is qualitative research. The results of observations show that students' reading skills still need improvement, especially in terms of reading comprehension. The literacy program at school, such as the 15-minute reading activity every day, has had a positive impact, but obstacles such as limited interesting reading materials and the lack of library facilities are still an obstacle. This study highlights that support from teachers, parents and wider access to varied reading materials are crucial in building an effective literacy culture. The study concludes that collaboration between schools, families and communities is needed to create a conducive literacy environment to holistically improve students' reading skills.

Abstract

Education plays a strategic role in building quality human resources. An effective and efficient education management system is needed in accordance with the principles of Total Quality Management (TQM). This study aims to analyze the integration of the application of Total Quality Management (TQM) principles with the results of Madrasah Self Evaluation (EDM) assessment as a strategy to realize quality education. This research uses a qualitative method that takes data from a literature review of recent scientific articles related to the principles of TQM and the implementation of EDM. The results show that TQM principles-customer satisfaction, comprehensive involvement, and continuous improvement-can be effectively operationalized through data-based EDM applications. Although the integration of TQM principles with data-based technology such as EDM has not been widely explored empirically in madrasahs, data-based management is considered necessary to be the main foundation of TQM implementation in the madrasah environment. As EDM is one of the tools to support TQM in education, this research seeks to explore the relationship in the context of educational evaluation. The results of this study are expected to make a theoretical contribution to education management.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to understand the process and challenges in implementing School Based Management (SBM) in the implementation of the Pancasila Student Profile Strengthening Project (P5). The method used is a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection through observation, interviews and documentation. The research subjects were school principals, teachers and students. P5 implementation is carried out through three main stages: planning, implementation and assessment. At the planning stage, the school principal forms a team of profile project facilitators by determining one coordinator, the coordinator guides the project facilitators (all teachers who work at that grade level), identifies school readiness, determines dimensions, time allocation and theme, and designs project modules. In implementation, the teacher begins the activity by introducing the theme, title, objectives and everything related to the project to be implemented. Assessment is carried out by observing student work qualitatively. The research results show that the implementation of School-Based Management contributes to increasing students' understanding of the Pancasila student profile and developing students' character.

Abstract

Management has theories that are classified into seven kinds of groups, namely: classical management theory, behavioral management theory, scientific management theory, system analysis management theory, results-based management theory, and quality management theory, and classical organizational management theory. This study aims to examine the position of management science theory in the context of education. The research method used in this article is qualitative research with a literature study approach. Research with qualitative methods is a method that obtains descriptive data results in the form of words and sentences in writing sourced from the data and information being studied. In-depth analysis will be carried out on management theories relevant to the world of education. This research is expected to provide a more comprehensive understanding of how general management concepts can be applied and adapted in the context of educational institutions. Thus, this research is expected to contribute to the development of more effective and efficient educational management practices.

Abstract

The application of gamification in career guidance programs has the potential to change the way students view and engage with the program. With strategically designed game elements, gamification can help students feel more motivated, increase their participation, and encourage them to plan their future careers more seriously. This study aims to analyze the role of Gamification in increasing student motivation in Career Guidance Programs at the high school level. The qualitative approach used aims to explore the experiences and perspectives of students and guidance and counseling teachers in the career guidance program. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and document analysis. The results showed that the application of gamification elements such as point awarding, leaderboards, and weekly challenges in the Career Guidance Program was able to increase students' participation, engagement, and awareness of their future career planning after high school. Gamification provides an interactive and fun learning environment, which has a positive impact on students' intrinsic and extrinsic motivation in planning for a bright future.
