Abstract

The objective of the research was to determine the role of the learning environment in increasing reading interest among fourth-grade students at SD Negeri 107982 Lubuk Pakam. The research used a descriptive qualitative approach, with data collection techniques including observation, interviews, and questionnaires. The results indicate that the learning environment has a significant influence on increasing students’ reading interest. Supporting factors include comfortable classroom conditions, the availability of facilities and infrastructure such as reading corners and libraries, and the role of teachers and parents in fostering a culture of literacy. With a conducive learning environment, students are more enthusiastic about reading and show an increase in the frequency and engagement of reading activities. These findings emphasize the importance of collaboration between schools and families to create an environment that supports children’s literacy from an early age.

Abstract

Anxiety in pregnant women in the third trimester can negatively impact the mother's psychological condition and can endanger the health of both mother and fetus, one of which is influenced by the support of the husband or family. This observational analytical study employed a cross-sectional study design. 77 respondents were selected using total sampling. Data were collected using a husband's support questionnaire and an anxiety questionnaire, the PASS (Perinatal Anxiety Screening Scale). Data analysis performed using the Chi-Square statistical test yielded a p-value of 0.003 (p<0.05), indicating a relationship between husband's support and anxiety levels of pregnant women in the third trimester. The results of the study, which included 77 respondents; showed that the majority of respondents, 47 respondents (61.0%), were in the supportive husband category. Meanwhile, 26 (33.8%) were in the no anxiety category. Pregnant women in their third trimester who received support from their husbands tended to minimize anxiety compared to those who lacked support. It is recommended that pregnant women in their third trimester pay attention to their physical and psychological condition and ask their husbands to provide constant support, prepare for childbirth, and participate in maintaining the pregnancy.

Abstract

This study aims to design and describe the implementation of an extracurricular curriculum based on the traditional art of Karawitan as an instrument for character education amidst the disruptions of the modern era. Facing the challenges of foreign cultural hegemony and individualistic lifestyles caused by globalization, Karawitan offers philosophical values such as mutual cooperation, tolerance, and communal harmony. Using a descriptive approach with a focus on implementation studies, this research highlights the pedagogical shift from theoretical learning based on rote memorization of notation (titilaras) to a Deep Learning approach that emphasizes kinesthetic experience, auditory sensitivity, and inner connection (rasa). The implementation results show that a modified curriculum integrating visual demonstration methods, movement imitation, and peer tutoring effectively increases student enthusiasm, reduces boredom, and bridges the disparity in motor and musical skills within the classroom. Furthermore, the gamelan ensemble has proven to transform into a sociocultural laboratory that organically internalizes the values of the Pancasila Student Profile. In conclusion, a structured, adaptive, and collaborative Karawitan extracurricular curriculum not only serves to preserve the cultural heritage of the archipelago but also provides a strategic foundation in cultivating young generations who possess mental resilience, noble character, and a strong local identity.

Abstract

The Influence of Using Interactive Animation Media on the Interest in Early Reading Learning Among Second Grade Students of SD Inpres Bone, Bajeng District, Gowa Regency. This study aims to determine the effect of using interactive animation media on the interest and early reading skills of second grade students at SD Inpres Bone, Bajeng District, Gowa Regency. The type of research used is quantitative with a Pre-Experimental One Group Pretest-Posttest design. The research sample consisted of 28 second grade students selected using a saturated sampling technique. Data were collected through reading comprehension tests, reading interest questionnaires, observations, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis includes descriptive and inferential statistics using the t-test. The research results showed a significant increase in students' interest and early reading skills after using animated interactive media, with the average reading skill score increasing from 61.78 to 80.35. The t-test resulted in tcount = 10.417, which is greater than ttable = 2.228, so the hypothesis was accepted. Animated interactive media is effective in improving students' interest, motivation, and early reading skills. This media also provides a more enjoyable and interactive learning experience, so it is highly recommended for use in reading instruction in elementary schools.

Abstract

This study is motivated by the low reading interest among elementary school students and the limited use of engaging and interactive learning media, which causes reading activities to be perceived as boring and less involving for students. This study aims to determine the effect of using the snakes and ladders game as a learning medium on students’ interest in reading narrative texts at the elementary school level. This research employs a quantitative method with an experimental approach using a Quasi-Experimental Design, specifically the Nonequivalent Control Group Design model. The population consists of all fifth-grade students of SDN Ngagelrejo 1/396 Surabaya, with class VG as the experimental group and class VB as the control group, selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected using a reading interest questionnaire that had been tested for validity and reliability. Data analysis was conducted using prerequisite tests, including normality and homogeneity tests, followed by hypothesis testing using the Independent Samples t-test with the assistance of SPSS. The results showed a significance value of Sig. (2-tailed) = 0.000 < 0.05, indicating a significant difference between the experimental and control groups. This finding demonstrates that the use of the snakes and ladders game as a learning medium can improve students’ interest in reading narrative texts in elementary school. Therefore, the snakes and ladders game can be used as an innovative, interactive, and enjoyable alternative learning medium to enhance students’ reading interest in elementary schools.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara minat belajar dan motivasi belajar dengan hasil belajar matematika siswa kelas IV sekolah dasar. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan jenis penelitian korelasional. Sampel penelitian berjumlah 48 siswa kelas IV SD Negeri Kauman 01 Juwana. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan angket minat belajar, angket motivasi belajar, dan tes hasil belajar matematika. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis menggunakan analisis regresi berganda setelah melalui uji prasyarat analisis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara minat belajar dengan hasil belajar matematika, (2) terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara motivasi belajar dengan hasil belajar matematika, dan (3) terdapat hubungan yang signifikan secara bersama-sama antara minat belajar dan motivasi belajar dengan hasil belajar matematika. Dengan demikian, minat belajar dan motivasi belajar memiliki peran penting dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar matematika siswa.

Abstract

Pada penelitian Ini terdapat permasalahan di sekolah dasar kurang antusias dalam segi motivasi belajar rendah penyebab nya guru masih mengajarnya menngunakan metode pembelajaran ceramah tidak berkolaborasi dengan siswa sehinnga proses pembelajaran monoton tidak bervariatip sehinnga kepada siswa juga merasa bosan mengantuk dalam segi pembelajaran Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui seberapa Tingkat motivasi belajar dengan menngunakan metode penelitian survey yang menggunakan skala likert dengan menyebar angket kepada responden dengen berjumlah 30 item dengan hasil penelitian yang di lakukan di SDN 2 MEKARMUKTI dengan hasil pengisian angket oleh para siswa siswi, diketahui bahwa rata-rata tingkat motivasi berada pada kategori “tinggi” Ketiga indikator motivasi belajar yang diukur, yaitu hasrat untuk berhasil, dorongan/kebutuhan yang cukup tinggi, dengan indikator dorongan dan kebutuhan belajar memperoleh skor tertinggi (86%).Hasil ini menunjukkan bahwa mayoritas siswa memiliki dorongan internal dan eksternal yang kuat dalam proses belajar, serta memiliki tujuan yang jelas dalam pendidikan mereka

Abstract

The background to this research is that there are variations in teaching styles regarding students' learning interests. The teaching style in the learning process in class VII Mtsn 7 Agam Batu Balantai Canduang, Canduang District, Agam Regency, carried out by the teacher, is still monotonous and has not been varied, resulting in students experiencing boredom when following the learning process so that students are less interested in learning and make students' motor skills less than optimal. The formulation of the problem in this research is how does the teacher's teaching style vary at MTSN 7 Agam, is there an influence of variations in teacher's teaching style on students' interest in learning in Islamic cultural history subjects, what is the influence of teaching variations on students' learning interest in Islamic cultural history subjects. The aim of the research is to test whether there is an influence of teachers' teaching styles on students' interest in learning in Islamic cultural history subjects at MTSN 7 Agam Batu Balantai, Agam Regency, to test whether there is an influence of variations in teachers' teaching styles on students' learning interest in Islamic cultural history subjects at MTSN. 7Agam Batu Balantai, Agam Regency. The hypothesis in this research is that there is a significant influence of variations in teacher teaching styles on students' interest in learning at MTSN 7Agam Batu Balantai, Agam Regency. The type of research used is quantitative research with the nature of correlational research using regression. The population from this research is all class VII students at MTSN 7 Agam Batu Balantai, Agam Regency. This research data is the result of documentation of questionnaire scores on variations in teacher teaching styles and questionnaire scores on interest in learning. The results of the T test obtained a significance value of 0.000 ≤ 0.05 and Tcount≥ Ttable, namely 38.762≥ 1.674. In accordance with the criteria tcount≥ ttable. In the sense that there is an influence, which means that H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted, meaning that there is a significant influence of variations in teacher teaching styles on students' interest in learning in the subject of history of Islamic culture in class VII at MTSN 7 Agam Batu Balantai, Agam Regency.

Abstract

ABSTRACT This research was motivated by preliminary observations showing that the critical reasoning skills of 5-6 year old children are still developing in various ways. This study aims to determine the strategies used by teachers in the critical reasoning skills material applied in the learning of 5-6 year old. This research uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive type. Data collection techniques through interviews, observation, and documentation. Data analysis uses data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions, while data validity is tested by triangulation of sources and techniques. The results show that teachers' strategies are carried out in a planned manner through active and creative learning, such as playing, experiments, role-playing, discussions, questions and answers, habituation, group work, and reinforcement in the form of praise and stickers. This strategy encourages children to be more active in asking questions, expressing opinions, working together, and solving simple problems even though their development still varies. Thus, teacher strategies play a significant role in stimulating critical reasoning skills in 5-6-year-old children at Pertiwi II Kindergarten in Jambi.
