Abstract

Online learning methods are increasingly being used, including for conducting university learning. It becomes a condition that must be avoided as part of the health protocol (hence: Prokes). Several factors influence student achievement using this online learning method, namely: student GPA, gender, ethnicity, first-generation status, and income status. The independent variables are discipline, environment, learning motivation, and learning media, while the dependent variable is GPA and the quality of graduates. The method of collecting data in this research is by distributing questionnaires to 153 student respondents. The research approach used is correlation investigation to find the relationship between variables. The method of collecting data on the sample is probability sampling, which uses a simple random sampling technique and SmartPLS software. PLS analysis using the inner model, outer model, and hypothesis testing. This study has four hypotheses. Three of them are supported, and one is not supported. The results of this study indicate a positive and significant relationship between discipline, environment, and learning motivation on GPA and graduate quality. However, the learning media variable has no relationship to the GPA variable. This research focuses on active students in the Department of Management at Andalas University and Padang State University.

Abstract

The curriculum serves as the foundation for the implementation of learning in integrated Islamic schools under the auspices of JSIT. Darul Hasan Integrated Islamic Junior High School (SMP Islam Terpadu Darul Hasan) in Padangsidimpuan is one of the integrated Islamic educational institutions under JSIT. Accordingly, Darul Hasan Integrated Islamic Junior High School implements the JSIT curriculum. The purpose of this research is to describe how the JSIT curriculum is implemented at Darul Hasan Integrated Islamic Junior High School in Padangsidimpuan and to identify any obstacles in its implementation. The research methodology used in this study is a qualitative research method, involving observations and structured interviews with research informants as data collection techniques. The results of this study conclude that the implementation of the JSIT curriculum at Darul Hasan Integrated Islamic Junior High School is carried out in accordance with the guidelines provided by the Integrated Islamic School Network. Fortunately, so far, the implementation of the JSIT curriculum at Darul Hasan Integrated Islamic Junior High School has not encountered any significant obstacles.

Abstract

Tujuan dalam penelitian ini untuk menganalisis peningkatan kualitas layanan akademik dan program KIP-Kuliah di PTKIS Sumatera Utara. Penelitian ini termasuk penelitian kebijakan dengan metode penelitian kualitatif-kuantitatif. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di PTKIS Kopertais Wilayah IX Sumatera Utara dengan waktu penelitian bulan November-Desember 2020. Yang menjadi sampel penelitian adalah STIT Al-Hikmah Tebing Tinggi, STAI JM Tanjung Pura, STAI-BR Sibuhuan, IAIDU Asahan, dan FAI UMSU. Sumber data yang digunakan adalah hasil observasi dan wawancara dengan unsur penyelenggara Pendidikan Tinggi Agama Islam Swasta (PTKIS), dengan teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan peneliti adalah angket, wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa 1) Nilai rata-rata kualitas layanan akademik dan KIP Kuliah PTKIS Sumatera Utara berada pada interval 3.90 dengan kategori memuaskan; 2) Untuk mengetahui kebijakan peningkatan kualitas layanan akademik sesuai dengan implementasi standar dikti yang mencakup penetapan, pelaksanaan, evaluasi, pengendalian dan peningkatan kualitas layanan akademik PTKIS Sumatera Utara.; dan 3) Kualitas layanan akademik dan KIP-Kuliah berpengaruh langsung terhadap minat mahasiswa di PTKIS Sumatera Utara, hal ini dibuktikan dengan jumlah calon mahasiswa baru setiap tahun meningkat

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji tesis yang menyatakan bahwa persepsi terhadap ustadz dan persepsi terhadap lingkungan pesantren berpengaruh tidak langsung terhadap prestasi belajar melalui orientasi tujuan dan pendekatan belajar. Uji hipotetik dilakukan dengan 467 responden santri dari lima pesantren di wilayah Jabodetabek. Data dikumpulkan menggunakan instrumen yang terdiri dari skala persepsi terhadap ustadz, skala persepsi terhadap lingkungan pesantren, skala orientasi tujuan, skala pendekatan belajar, dan skala religiusitas. Teknik analisis data untuk menguji model hipotetik dilakukan menggunakan model persamaan struktural (Structural Equation Model atau SEM) dengan bantuan perangkat lunak Linear Structural Relation (LISREL) versi 8.72 dari Joreskog dan Sorbom. Hasil uji model hipotetik menunjukkan dukungan terhadap seluruh hipotesis penelitian. Hasil penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa persepsi terhadap ustadz berpengaruh langsung, positif, dan signifikan terhadap orientasi tujuan; persepsi terhadap lingkungan pesantren berpengaruh langsung, positif, dan signifikan terhadap orientasi tujuan; orientasi tujuan berpengaruh langsung, positif, dan signifikan terhadap pendekatan belajar; dan pendekatan belajar berpengaruh langsung, positif, dan signifikan terhadap prestasi belajar. Dukungan terhadap model teoritik menunjukkan bahwa penelitian ini memberikan kontribusi penting, misalnya dalam mengukur prestasi belajar dengan indikator religiusitas, serta bagaimana persepsi terhadap ustadz dan lingkungan pesantren mempengaruhi prestasi belajar melalui orientasi tujuan dan pendekatan belajar. Penelitian ini juga melakukan generalisasi terhadap teori taksonomi Bloom, mengembangkan teori tersebut, dan mendukung tren psikologi positif masa kini. Selain itu, penelitian ini memberikan saran teoritis dan praktis. Model hipotetik baru ini perlu diteliti lebih lanjut untuk memperluas generalisasinya, dengan pengembangan yang lebih baru untuk melengkapi keterbatasan dalam penelitian ini.

Abstract

This research aims to describe the implementation of congregational prayers at the Muhammadiyah Parsorminan Elementary School. This type of research is qualitative research with descriptive methods. The informants in this research were students, teachers and the principal of the Parsorminan Muhammadiyah school. The data collection is observation, interviews and documentation and the data checking techniques used are triangulation, extended participation and diligent observation. Meanwhile, data analysis in this research consists of data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions. The results of the research show that the implementation of congregational prayers at the Parsorminan Muhammadiyah Elementary School has been going on for a long time, starting from when this madrasa was founded around 1924. The implementation of congregational prayers is mandatory for all students in grades III, IV, V and VI. Congregational noon prayers are held at the mosque near the school. Practically speaking, imams and muezzins are carried out by students as a form of education in discipline and preparation to become leaders. Next, midday prayers are held before the children come home from school, namely 1 o'clock on Monday to Thursday. The congregational noon prayer is held on time at around 12.30 and a quarter of an hour before prayer time the bell will be rung so that students come out and perform ablution for prayer. The results obtained from carrying out congregational prayers for students are: getting into the habit of praying on time, being orderly in queuing, students becoming brave and not shy and respectful and affectionate towards teachers and parents, and coming to school on time.

Abstract

Background: The main basis of this research is based on the importance of understanding the vision and mission of school institutions as ideals that want to be realized. Formulating the school's vision and mission certainly has a foundation of values ​​that form its spirit, so that there is harmony between the activities carried out by the school and the realization of the vision and mission that have been formulated. Purpose of the Study: This research aims to determine the basis for formulating the school's vision and mission at the early childhood education level. This research approach is qualitative, with data collection techniques using documentation. Methods: The data analysis technique uses content analysis using Nvivo 12. The research was conducted in 5 early childhood education schools. Results: The results of the research show that the formulation of vision. Mission in early childhood education schools is based on religious values ​​and general or non-religious values. Conclusion: The conclusion of the research results, explicit value content in the formulation of the school's vision and mission, namely religious and non-religious or general values.

Abstract

Background: Various studies on multicultural education have been examined by previous researchers, but the focus on efforts to foster intercultural awareness and tolerance attitudes has not been responded to in a complex manner. Purpose: The purpose of this study is to examine how intercultural awareness education develops student character. Method: This research combines a literature review methodology with a qualitative approach. Result: The research findings show that developing one's character requires consistent work and deep contemplation to arrive at a number of moral judgments which must then be practiced for them to become wise and practical. To form all of these into habits and shape one's character or behavior, it takes time. The family and home, the school environment, and the community must all be involved in the education process. Rebuilding the almost destroyed educational network and the relationship between the three educational contexts is the main step to take. As long as the three educational environments are not harmonious and sustainable, it will never be possible for the nature and character of education to be successfully formed. Given this fact, the strong influence of home, school and society is necessary to help students develop into excellent citizens.

Abstract

Background: Various previous studies have responded to the study of multicultural education. However, the focus on the application of multicultural-based Islamic education learning planning steps has not been examined in depth by previous research. Purpose: The purpose of this study is to determine how Islamic education lessons that are multiculturally based are planned. Method: The research methodology employed is library research, which entails gathering data from a variety of sources, including books and periodicals that are relevant to study issues. Result: The study's findings indicate that there are multiple steps involved in implementing a multicultural Islamic education curriculum. The first is switching to a progressive curriculum philosophy, such as social reconstruction, progressivism, or humanism, for the curriculum. Second, the learning theory that is employed no longer has to be limited to specific psychological theories of learning; it also needs to take into consideration the diversity of social, cultural, political, and economic contexts. Third, group learning and competitive learning in a favorable environment take the role of the traditional learning process. Fourth, the assessment method must take into account every facet of the student's aptitudes and character, in line with the goals and subject matter being created. Conclusion: Through this research, conceptual implications are obtained in the form of multicultural-based Islamic education learning complex planning, as a step towards realizing harmony and diversity in society.

Abstract

Background: The practice of education gives the perception that education is always centered on learning materials that require students to have cognitive and motor skills, but pay less attention to fulfilling emotions. Purpose: This study aims to investigate and analyze the impact of emotional intelligence on academic achievement in Islamic religious education among junior high school students. Method: This research uses quantitative methods using inferential analysis. The population in this study were students at SMPN 2 Sigi with a total of 277 people with a sample size of 164 students. Result: The research findings indicate a notable correlation between emotional intelligence and learning achievement in Islamic religious education subjects at SMPN 2 Sigi. This is evident through hypothesis testing where the coefficient value for the Emotional Intelligence variable is 0.760, with a standard error of 0.036, and a t-statistic value of 21.104, with a significance level of less than 0.05. Conclusion: The research concluded that emotional intelligence exhibits a significant and positive association with academic achievement in Islamic Religious Education among junior high school students.

Abstract

Background: The family is the main base of Islamic education that supplies the first educational material for students. The low knowledge of sharia will cause a serious gap in the practice of Islamic teachings in the current era of globalization. Purpose of the research: is to find out the conceptualization of sharia-based family education towards Islamic families in the era of globalization, to find out the purpose of the concept of sharia-based family education, and to find out the practical strategies of sharia-based family education towards Islamic families in the era of globalization. Methods: this study uses a qualitative approach, with primary and secondary literature as the main source of research. Results: this shows that the concept of sharia-based family education aims to create the character of students who have high spiritual values, uphold aspects of monotheism, justice and law, as well as nobility of heart that has the value of patience and gratitude for all forms faced in life. The conceptualization strategy of sharia-based family education can be implemented through the internalization of Islamic values, including sharia-based character education, role empowerment in accordance with sharia, sharia financial education, Islamic child education, parental involvement in education, wise use of technology, and flexible approaches to social change. Conclusions: Knowing the concept of sharia-based family education in the era of globalization is very important in caring, maintaining, developing and the potential of students in the family sphere in order to create an Islamic personality in the midst of the globalization era.
