Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji pengaruh model inkuiri terbimbing berbantuan media PhET terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah peserta didik. Jenis penelitian ini adalah kuasi eksperimen dengan desain penelitian pretest and posttest with non-eqivalent control group design. Tempat penelitian di SMP Negeri 1 Utan, teknik pengambilan sampel purposive sampling. Sampel penelitian yang digunakan adalah kelas VII-2 sebagai kelas kontrol diberikan perlakuan pembelajaran konvensional dan VII-1 sebagai kelas eksperimen diberikan perlakuan model inkuiri terbimbing berbantuan simulasi PhET. Instrumen tes yang digunakan pada penelitian ini berupa soal uraian dengan jumlah 5 soal yang telah diuji validitas, reliabilitas, daya pembeda dan tingkat kesukaran soal. Hasil analisis posttest didapatkan data terdistribusi normal dan homogen. Hasil analisis posttest diperoleh rata-rata posttest pada kelas eksperimen sebesar 75,61 dan kelas kontrol sebesar 58,30. Hasil uji N-gain untuk kelas eksperimen diperoleh N-gain skor sebesar 0,71 dengan kategori tinggi dan kelas kontrol sebesar 0,50 dengan kategori sedang. Hasil uji hipotesis menunjukkan hasil yaitu

Abstract

Entering the 21st century, technological developments are growing more rapidly, especially in the world of education. With this rapid technological development, all Educators and Education Personnel are required to be able to adapt to developments, mastery and knowledge of technology because technology is a competency that must be mastered to support the improvement of the learning process. The aim of this study is to develop Gembell (Game Based Learning by Wordwall) as an evaluation media that is valid, practical, and effective for 21st-century learning. The research method use is Research and Development (R&D) with as ADDIE model. This research uses observation, interviews, and questionnaires as data collection instruments. Based on the results results, the material validity test score was 89 %, the media validity test score was 87 %, the teacher feasibility test score was 90 %, and the student test score was 95,74 %, received a positif response from the students. From the results of these scores can be concluded that the media for the topic of advanced physics is highly valid, practical, and suitable for use.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merancang alat monitoring AQHT (Air Quality, Humidity and Temperature) berbasis Arduino NodeMCU dengan IoT. Penelitian ini mengukur kualitas udara menggunakan sensor MQ-135 dan sensor DHT11 untuk mengukur suhu dan kelembaban. Metode dalam penelitian ini meliputi perancangan alat monitoring kualitas udara, temperatur dan kelembaban, dengan mengintergrasikan sensor MQ-135, sensor DHT11 dan arduino uno serta memanfaakan aplikasi Blynk sebagai platform IoT untuk memantau data secara real-time. Pengujian alat ini dilakukan di dalam dan di luar ruangan. Pengambilan data dilaksanakan selama dua hari dengan perlakuan masing-masing dalam satu hari dilakukan pengukuran dua kali dengan rentang waktu satu jam tiga puluh menit. Adapun hasil pengukuran kualitas udara yang dilakukan di Laboratorium Fisika FKIP UMMAT pada tanggal 3 Februari 2025 pukul 08:00-09:30 WITA dengan hasil pengukuran 204,83 ± 12,38 PPM dan pukul 13:00-14:30 WITA sebesar 663,68 ± 16,26 PPM. Untuk temperature 31,67 ± 0,07 °C pukul 08:00-09:30 WITA. Sedangkan pukul 13:00-14:30 WITA 3,08 ± 10,21 oC. Untuk nilai kelembaban pukul 08:00-09:30 WITA sebesar 31,07 ± 0,07 % dan pukul 13:00-14:30 WITA sebesar 3,08 ± 10,21 %. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa alat ini dapat memantau kualitas udara, suhu dan kelembaban dengan akurat dan efektif.

Abstract

Peningkatan konsentrasi gas CO₂ akibat aktivitas manusia, seperti pembakaran dan asap rokok, berkontribusi terhadap penurunan kualitas udara dan risiko kesehatan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merancang dan menguji efektivitas prototype pendeteksi dan penetralisir gas CO₂ berbasis sensor MQ135 dan Arduino Uno yang dilengkapi dengan filter HEPA dan karbon aktif. Metode yang digunakan meliputi perancangan perangkat keras dan perangkat lunak, integrasi sensor dengan Arduino Uno, serta pengujian efektivitas filter dalam menurunkan kadar CO₂ dari dua sampel, yaitu asap pembakaran kertas dan asap rokok. Pengujian dilakukan sebanyak sepuluh kali untuk setiap sampel, dengan hasil menunjukkan bahwa prototype memiliki tingkat akurasi tinggi dibandingkan alat standar, yaitu rata-rata 98,83% untuk asap kertas dan 98,90% untuk asap rokok. Efektivitas filter HEPA dalam menyaring CO₂ dari asap pembakaran kertas mencapai 78,52%, sedangkan dari asap rokok mencapai 80,16%. Namun, efektivitas filter mengalami penurunan seiring penggunaan akibat kejenuhan material penyaring. Secara keseluruhan, prototype ini berhasil mendeteksi dan menurunkan kadar CO₂ dalam udara, meskipun efektivitas penyaringan menurun dengan penggunaan berulang.

Abstract

Miskonsepsi merupakan fenomena kesalahan dalam memahami suatu konsep yang telah tertanam dalam diri siswa. Miskonsepsi erat kaitannya dengan proses perkembangan kognitif siswa. Pembelajaran guided inquiry merupakan pembelajaran yang menekankan pada proses perkembangan kognitif melalui kegiatan inkuiri. Ada beberapa metode yang dapat digunakan dalam pembelajaran inkuiri, antara lain demonstrasi dan eksperimen. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan pengaruh pembelajaran guided inquiry dengan metode demonstrasi dan eksperimen berbantuan PhET Simulation terhadap penurunan miskonsepsi siswa dan membandingkan penurunan miskonsepsi antara keduanya. Penelitian ini menggunakan one group pretest-posttest design. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di SMA Negeri 3 Kota Mojokerto, Jawa Timur pada semester genap tahun ajaran 2013/2014 dengan sampel penelitian siswa kelas X-E dan X-G yang masing-masing berjumlah 31 dan 32 siswa. Siswa kelas X-E diberikan perlakuan pembelajaran guided inquiry dengan metode eksperimen dan siswa kelas X-G menggunakan metode demonstrasi. Metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah tes. Instrumen tes yang diberikan diselesaikan dan dianalisis menggunakan Certainty Response Index (CRI) kemudian dilanjutkan dengan uji-t dua pihak. Berdasarkan hasil yang diperoleh dapat disimpulkan bahwa pembelajaran guided inquiry dengan metode demonstrasi dan eksperimen berbantuan PhET Simulation efektif dalam menurunkan miskonsepsi siswa dan tidak terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan dalam menurunkan miskonsepsi di antara keduanya.

Abstract

In Basic Physics instruction, particularly in laboratory experiments involving direct current (DC) circuits, the need for accurate, real-time, and efficient power measurement tools is critical. Traditional instruments often fall short in delivering such performance, leading to errors and delays in data analysis. To address this issue, this study developed and implemented an Internet of Things (IoT)-based power measurement tool utilizing Arduino NodeMCU, capable of real-time data transmission and processing through Wi-Fi connectivity. The integration of current and voltage sensors enables more accurate and accessible DC power measurements for educational purposes.This research employed a quantitative approach using a one-group pretest-posttest quasi-experimental design. A total of 12 students enrolled in the Basic Physics Laboratory course participated in the study. The effectiveness of the tool was evaluated through pretest and posttest assessments, student response questionnaires, and observational data. Normality testing (Shapiro-Wilk) showed that both pretest (p = 0.262) and posttest (p = 0.284) scores were normally distributed. A paired sample t-test revealed a significant improvement in students’ conceptual understanding (t = -8.20, p = 5.14 × 10⁻⁶). The average normalized gain (N-Gain) score was 0.565, indicating a medium level of improvement, with 75% of students falling in the medium category and 25% in the high category. Student feedback also reflected a positive perception of the tool, with an average response score of 84.5 out of 100. These results suggest that the IoT-based measurement tool not only enhances the accuracy and efficiency of data collection in Basic Physics experiments but also improves students’ conceptual understanding and engagement. The innovation aligns with modern educational goals by integrating digital technology into science instruction, preparing students for real-world scientific and technological challenges.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to enhance high school students’ problem-solving skills in rotational dynamics through the STEM-Project Approach for Real-World Knowledge (SPARK) model. The study employed a quasi-experimental design with a one-group pre-test and post-test approach to measure the progress of 30 first-year students (15 males and 15 females) from a high school in Bandung, Indonesia. Validated twenty-four essay questions was used to assess students' problem-solving abilities before and after the intervention. The results demonstrated moderate improvements in problem-solving skills, with significant advancements in problem identification (N-Gain: 0.59) and the application of scientific concepts (N-Gain: 0.53), while less improvement was observed in suggesting alternative solutions (N-Gain: 0.23) and designing tools (N-Gain: 0.16). The study, analyzed through portfolios and normalized gain values, indicated medium-category increases in some aspects of problem-solving skills. It can be concluded that the SPARK model is effective in enhancing high school students' problem-solving skills in rotational dynamics, particularly in improving the identification of problems and their relation to physics concepts. However, the model was less effective in improving the design aspect, indicating the need for further development in this area. Future research should focus on creating worksheets that better align with these problem-solving indicators.

Abstract

Coastal areas are dynamic environments and are vulnerable to natural processes and human activities, making regular monitoring important for sustainable management. This study analyzes coastal changes along the Kuta coastal area, which includes Pantai Jerman, Kuta, Legian, and Seminyak, using Landsat 8 satellite imagery through the application of the NDWI analysis and the Linear Regression Rate (LRR) method over the period 2014–2022. The NDWI is derived using Band 3 (green) and Band 5 (near-infrared) to accurately classify the boundary between water and land. The LRR method is employed to calculate the trend of coastal line shifts from temporal data, yielding a detailed estimation of the coastal displacement rate. The study results indicate that the Kuta coastal area undergoes changes dominated by mild accretion, with an average coastal shift of 1.50 m/year, while mild erosion occurs at an average of 1.30 m/year. Overall, the coastal area experienced an accretion of 9.52 ha and an erosion of 4.55 ha.
