Abstract

Technology to support learning activities in schools is essential to implement to improve learning outcomes. Technology use also aligns with the objectives of implementing an independent curriculum, which requires digital skills. However, the conditions in schools still need to be improved regarding the use of technology both in delivering learning material and in digital-based evaluations. Every school is required to participate in a national evaluation in the form of a computer-based minimum competency assessment (AKM), carried out online. This activity aims to increase the use of digital technology in schools, including administration, teaching, and learning at SMA Negeri 1 Bengkulu Tengah. Digital utilization is carried out through the use of the i-school application. The activity implementation method consists of (1) preparation and needs analysis, (2) application system design, (3) outreach, (4) implementation of training and use of technology, (5) evaluation and monitoring. The target of the training activities consisted of 30 teachers and staff and 36 students. The result of this activity is creating a digital application to support administration, teaching, and learning activities that can be implemented in the target school. This activity also impacts increasing the teacher's ability to use open materials and online test tools through the i-school application. Students' responses to application usage activities are also at high criteria. Abstract

In learning a language there are four basic language skills, namely listening, speaking, reading and writing. However, there are three areas that play an important role in supporting these four language skills (Megawati, 2016). The three parts are: pronunciation, vocabulary (words) and punctuation pronunciation. Therefore, many students face obstacles in learning English. These difficulties are also experienced by children at SOS Children's Village Bali, so that in the end they have an impact on their interest in learning English. Seeing these situations and conditions, this is a reason to carry out Community Service because they really need it. The English learning activity in this service is called Fun English and aims to create a fun learning environment. The focus of this fun English activity is to improve reading and speaking skills. This PKM is carried out for children at SOS Children's Village Bali. The method used in this social service is the recitation method. The recitation method is a model of presenting teaching materials by giving assignments to students. The participants who took part were students in primary school and junior high school education backgrounds. The achievement of this PKM is an increase in participants' ability to say vocabulary correctly. Participants have understood how to pronounce punctuation marks correctly. The result of this activity is that participants' concentration and motivation increase, this is proven by the results of the activity evaluation in the post-test. In this way, participants also feel happy and do not feel awkward when participating in all the fun English activities at PKM.

The income of the people of Harapan Island is still highly dependent on fishing.  They have not been able to increase their income from fish processing.  The Harapan Island “Red Snapper” Processing and Marketing Group (Polaksar) has problems: (1) Simple fish processing; (2) There is only one processed fish product; (3) Simple product packaging; (4) Limited marketing; (5) Simple business management; (6) Products have not received product certification (SNI) from the Ministry of Marine Affairs and Fisheries. The purpose of the activity is to increase knowledge and skills in processing and marketing processed fish products.  So that fish processing products are more diverse, hygienic, attractive, and use marketing techniques that reach a wider market. Abstract

Vector-borne diseases are a diversified group of diseases, caused by various pathogens transmitted by rats and arthropod vectors, such as mosquitoes, ticks, and flies. Previous research shows that cases of infectious diseases in Islamic boarding schools/orphanages are found, including dengue, scabies and pediculosis. Some Islamic boarding schools have poor environmental conditions, including toilets, damp and closed dormitories, poor ventilation and lighting, and poor environmental sanitation. Student behavior towards cleanliness and maintaining health is considered to be lacking. Through this service, it is hoped that residents at LKSA/Panti Asuhan Darul Tazkiyah can maintain personal cleanliness and residence so as to reduce the population of vectors and disease-carrying animals in the settlement. The activity was carried out through the method of socialization and two-way discussion. Scouts were given at the beginning of the activity to measure the level of knowledge of participants about vectors and disease-carrying animals. The results of the questionnaire showed that 94% of the participants did not have knowledge about the bioecology of vectors and disease-carrying animals. After the socialization and discussion stage, it can be concluded that participants understand the bioecology of each type of vector (flies, cockroaches, mosquitoes) and disease-carrying animals (rats).

Abstract

Area-based development emphasizes the optimal management of local resources to achieve community welfare. Kampung Beting, Pontianak, has great potential in transportation and river tourism but is hindered by a negative stigma as a center for drug trafficking. Through community service programs, business transformation is applied to the boat mining group with automation, installing waterproof canopies, using solar cell lights, and rebranding. The results show increased operational efficiency, revenue, and a regional image change. Innovative marketing strategies that capitalize on historical and cultural potential have successfully enhanced tourist attraction and local community welfare.

Abstract

Rabies is a zoonotic disease that can be transmitted from animals to humans. Rabies remains a global threat, killing around 59,000 people each year, and dogs are still the main source of transmission. The presence of dogs in the community as one of the animals most often infected with rabies is a condition that must always be watched out for, one of which is in the group of children who are at highest risk of being bitten by rabid dogs. Communication, Information, and Education (CIE) is one of the strategies used in the comprehensive approach of the rabies eradication program in Indonesia. Increasing knowledge related to rabies in children can be done through CIE that is packaged attractively without reducing the content and information conveyed. CIE with the theme "Rabies; Introduction, Prevention, and Control" was given to 45 students of SDN Medowo 3, Medowo village, Kedungkandang district, Kediri regency using the fun teaching method through material presentation and educative games. Evaluation of the results of the Rabies CIE was carried out by comparing the results of the pretest and posttest that had been filled out by the students. The method of data analysis and interpretation was carried out descriptively quantitatively through the percentage of total correct and incorrect answers to the question variables that represent the content of the CIE material that has been given and the average score of the pretest and posttest results in each class and age group. The results of the evaluation of the question variables showed that there was an increase in students' understanding of rabies material from 85.6% to 92.5% and there was an increase in the average posttest results in all groups after education. Based on these results, it can be concluded that the Rabies CIE activities provided can increase elementary school students' knowledge regarding Rabies.
