Abstract

Persuasive communication plays a significant role in the development of MSMEs, particularly in enhancing the effectiveness of product marketing. The MSME Sindu Makmur, managed by the Women Farmers Group (KWT), produces products such as mocaf flour and traditional herbal medicine in powder form. These products have high market potential if developed to their fullest extent. However, the KWT faces various challenges in effectively marketing these products. Through this community service program, the team aims to provide counseling, training, and development of persuasive communication skills to the members of KWT Sindu Makmur. This program is designed to equip them with effective communication techniques that can help attract consumer interest and increase product sales. By understanding and applying persuasive communication, it is expected that KWT Sindu Makmur can overcome marketing challenges and maximize the market potential of their products. The expected outcomes of this activity are that the partners will be able to understand and practice persuasive communication effectively. This improvement is expected to have a positive impact on the promotion and sales of Sindu Makmur MSME products

Abstract

Optimizing resource utilization is a crucial strategy in creating business advantages in an era of increasingly fierce global competition. This community service activity examines how the company can maximize the use of its resources, both tangible and intangible, to improve operational efficiency and competitiveness in the market. The study combines analysis of the current literature with case studies from various industries to identify best practices in resource management. The main focus is given on four key aspects: human resources, technology, finance, and organizational knowledge. The results of this activity show that companies that successfully optimize their resources have several common characteristics, including: 1) the implementation of an integrated resource management system, 2) continuous investment in employee competency development, 3) the adoption of appropriate technology, 4) the strategic allocation of financial resources, and 5) an organizational culture that encourages continuous innovation and learning. Furthermore, this community service activity will be sustainable, including in business assistance.

Abstract

This community service aims to improve the knowledge and skills of Posyandu cadres in stimulating the motor and sensory development of early childhood, especially during the golden period of development (age 0-6 years). This activity was carried out at Posyandu Rajawali, Kp. Dukuh Pinang, Baros, Serang Regency, involving 10 active Posyandu cadres. The methods applied in this program include counseling and training carried out for three consecutive meetings. The results of the activity showed that 80% of participants stated that this program was very good and provided significant benefits. The level of participant satisfaction was also quite high, with 40% stating that they were very satisfied, 50% satisfied, and only 10% feeling less satisfied. This program has proven effective in improving the competence and expertise of Posyandu cadres in supporting and stimulating the motor and sensory development of children at an early age. It is hoped that with the increased knowledge and skills obtained, Posyandu cadres can contribute more optimally in monitoring, stimulating, and supporting the development of early childhood in their environment.

Abstract

The application of learning methods will not work effectively if their application is not based on adequate knowledge. A method can be an obstacle to the learning process, not a component that supports the achievement of goals. Improving the quality of teachers is something that must be done by the education unit. The Serambi Mekkah Integrated Islamic Boarding School took the initiative to improve the skills of teachers (asatidz and ummahat) in learning, especially learning foreign languages, namely Arabic and English. The purpose of this activity is to increase the quality of language learning and so that the mastery of foreign languages and the communication skills of the students of the Serambi Mekkah Integrated Islamic Boarding School are also growing. The method of this activity uses the lecture method, direct demonstrations are practiced by participants, and questions and answers. The lecture method is used to convey general knowledge about the concept of language learning methods, grammar and translation methods (Qowaid wa tarjamah), direct method (mubasyarah), audiolingual method / sam'iyyah safahiyyah. Demonstrations are used to provide hands-on skills regarding the process of applying learning methods. Questions and answers are used to complete things that have not been accommodated by the two methods above. The results of this training can be declared successful. This can be seen from: (1) The attendance of participants is in accordance with the target of 95% (27 of 30 participants) (2) the results of the training are stated to be very good according to the analysis of the performance appraisal rubric. (3) Participants are very enthusiastic about participating in the training, which can be seen from the seriousness of participating in the training, the many questions that arise in the mentoring process and the teacher's willingness to apply learning methods in foreign development, both Arabic and English.

Abstract

Implementasi SIGABBI (Sistem Integrasi Gabungan Bimbingan dan Informasi) bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran dan implementasi MBKM (Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka) di SMK N 3 Pati. SIGABBI merupakan platform yang mengintegrasikan berbagai komponen bimbingan dan informasi akademik, serta mendukung proses pembelajaran yang lebih efektif dan terarah. Dengan memanfaatkan SIGABBI, diharapkan proses bimbingan siswa menjadi lebih terstruktur, sehingga meningkatkan keterlibatan siswa dan kualitas hasil belajar. Sistem ini juga mendukung fleksibilitas kurikulum dan pembelajaran yang adaptif sesuai dengan kebutuhan MBKM, sehingga siswa dapat mengoptimalkan potensi mereka secara maksimal. Penelitian ini mengevaluasi dampak implementasi SIGABBI terhadap kualitas pembelajaran dan penerapan MBKM di SMK N 3 Pati, serta memberikan rekomendasi untuk pengembangan lebih lanjut. Hasil studi menunjukkan bahwa SIGABBI berkontribusi positif terhadap peningkatan kualitas pendidikan dan pencapaian tujuan MBKM di sekolah

Abstract

One of the problems with MSMEs Serbuk Jahe Merah in Karang Indah Village, Barito Kuala District, is the difficulty of calculating the cost of production. The selling price is set based on simple calculations and comparison with competitor prices. The solution to this problem is to provide assistance in calculating the cost of production which will later be used as the basis for determining the selling price. The methods used in this activity are providing material by resource persons, assistance in calculating the cost of production and evaluation in the form of pre-tests and post-tests. Overall, this activity received a positive response from partners. This can be seen from the partners enthusiasm when filling out the worksheet for calculating the cost of production and during questions and answer. From the evaluation results, it is known that partners understanding of the cost of production increased by 41.8%, partners ability to classify production costs increased by 91.5% and partners skills in calculating the cost of production increased by 85%.

Abstract

ECC data for the 3–4-year age group in Indonesia in 2018 was 81.5%, indicating that only 18.5% were caries-free. ECC requires preventive measures to prevent caries from worsening, in order to achieve the goal of a healthy, caries-free Indonesia by 2030 with a minimum DMFT of 1.14 at the age of 12 years. The application of CPP-ACP can further prevent demineralization in children. CPP-ACP can neutralize saliva pH to normal levels, thereby supporting the remineralization of teeth. The proposed solution in this activity is to introduce a caries prevention program that can be implemented in Posyandu. This can be achieved by empowering cadres in the application of CPP-ACP. The method used is to empower cadres in applying CPP-ACP by providing training (ToT). Evaluation results show that there are significant differences between the pre-test and post-test results of knowledge, skills and saliva pH. Empowering dental health cadres has been proven to increase their knowledge and abilities in applying CPP-ACP as an effort to prevent caries from an early age in toddlers at Posyandu. The majority of the results from the pH examination of the saliva of posyandu toddlers returned to normal after the application of CPP-ACP by the cadre

Abstract

This community service project focuses on introducing a pocket book about Tepache, a fermented drink made from pineapple peel, as an effort to improve healthy lifestyles and sustainability in the community of Perum Batara Indah, Kahuripan Village, Tawang District, Tasikmalaya City. The background to this activity is the lack of public knowledge about the health benefits of fermented foods and drinks. The aim of this service is to increase public awareness and knowledge about the health benefits of Tepache and teach how to make it. The service partners are the people of Perum Batara Indah who actively participate in this activity. The method used is service learning which consists of four stages: investigation, preparation, action and reflection. The investigation stage was carried out through a survey to identify community needs and knowledge. During the preparation stage, a pocket book was prepared containing information about the health benefits and how to make Tepache. The action stage includes socialization, demonstrations of making Tepache to the public in the form of videos and product testers. Reflection stage by giving response questionnaires to the implementation of socialization. The results of this activity show that the community gave a positive response and there was an increase in knowledge and awareness of healthy living. These activities demonstrate that culturally relevant health interventions are effective in promoting sustainable lifestyle changes. These results are important because they show the potential of using local resources to improve public health and environmental sustainability

Abstract

The issue of increasing production costs, difficulty in obtaining plastic bag replacement materials, and the habit of SMEs in using plastic bags in packaging are one of the causes of the increasing volume of plastic waste in the Rambang Harbor area of Palangka Raya City. The community service was carried out by the Palangka Raya University community service team through the method of socializing the Regional Regulation of Palangka Raya City Number 3 of 2022 concerning reduction of plastic bags to SMEs at Rambang Harbor to reduce the growth of plastic waste. The results of the community service activities that have been carried out, providing replacement incentives for SMEs, and providing access to plastic bag replacement materials products, as well as innovative products are willingness for SMEs of Rambang Port to the government to reduce the use of plastic bags.

Abstract

This community service project aimed to empower teachers in improving the oral health of preschool children through the utilization of the "Yummy" mobile application. The activity was conducted at RA Antassalam in Tasikmalaya City, involving 7 teachers and 33 preschool children. The methods employed included teacher training, introduction to the Yummy application, practical sessions with children, and pre- and post-intervention evaluations. Results showed significant improvements in teachers' knowledge and skills in promoting children's dental health, and children's oral hygiene improved to good levels. The use of the Yummy application as an interactive educational tool proved effective in enhancing children's enthusiasm and understanding of oral hygiene. This program not only increased short-term capacity but also aimed to instill habits and awareness of the importance of oral health from an early age. This innovative approach is expected to have a lasting positive impact on the oral health of children at RA Antassalam in Tasikmalaya City.
