Abstract

Technological innovation is currently developing rapidly and has been applied in various industrial sectors, providing sophistication and benefits in its use. PT Charged Indonesia is a company that operates in the field of renewable energy technology, namely assembling electric motors that use smart systems, portable batteries, and are easy to use. Industrial visits are one of the important activities in the world of vocational education which aims to introduce students to real work environments, especially industries in the field of technological innovation.  This article discusses the industrial visit carried out by the YABHINKA SMKS team to PT Charged Indonesia with the aim of directly introducing technological innovations in the industrial sector in the field of motor assembly. The implementation method is divided into 3 (three) stages, namely the introduction stage, assembly stage and feasibility test stage. This activity provides a better understanding of the assembly process, technological innovation, industry needs for skilled labor and has a positive impact and benefits on the world of vocational education. Based on the results of implementing this activity, students gain experience regarding the introduction of technological innovation in the real world which opens up insight into the importance of education that is relevant to the needs of industry in the future

Abstract

This community service program aims to enhance the research and scientific writing capabilities of students at SMA Negeri 1 Tinambung. The principal challenge identified at the partner school involves the students' limited exposure to scientific writing that could strengthen their research abilities and competitive in national scientific competitions. Therefore, this community service program was designed to equip students with basic research skills. Additionally, students were provided with knowledge about scientific papers, including their definition, objectives, benefits, characteristics, types, structure, and examples of national student research olympiads. The program was conducted from April to June 2024. A total of 19 students participated in this program. The implementation stages included planning, training execution, and evaluation. Based on the evaluation results, it was found that students were able to develop research proposal frameworks comprising title, abstract, introduction, literature review, and research methodology. Questionnaire results regarding the program implementation quality also showed that participants gave positive assessments across various aspects of the training, with an average score of 4.86, indicating that the training was well-executed and effective.

Abstract

The harvest party is a long-standing tradition in Barru Regency, which is not only a moment to celebrate agricultural products, but also as a means to strengthen social relations within the farming community. However, community participation in this activity still faces various challenges, especially related to the lack of awareness of the importance of their role in supporting the sustainability of local agriculture. This article aims to analyze the factors that influence community participation in the harvest festival and develop strategies to increase their involvement in efforts to encourage agricultural sustainability in Barru Regency. This research uses a descriptive qualitative method with a participatory approach, involving in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and documentation related to the harvest festival. The research results show that increasing community participation can be achieved through intensive education and outreach, empowering the younger generation, as well as stronger collaboration between the government, farmers and related institutions. The harvest festival not only functions as a cultural activity, but also as a medium for introducing sustainable agricultural technology, so that it can encourage increased welfare of farmers and preserve local agriculture. Based on these findings, it is recommended that harvest festival managers in Barru Regency increase event promotion, strengthen the involvement of the younger generation, and develop educational programs that focus on sustainable agriculture

Abstract

Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Jayapura play a crucial role in local economic growth and job creation but continue to face challenges in implementing effective branding designs as part of their marketing strategies. This study aims to explore the effectiveness of digital branding design training using the Canva application in enhancing the understanding and skills of MSME actors in Jayapura to create appealing and professional visual content. Using a descriptive quantitative approach, data were collected through surveys of training participants to measure their satisfaction levels and comprehension of the material provided. The study results indicate that most participants were very satisfied (45%) and satisfied (35%) with the training, while 10% were neutral, and only 10% were less satisfied or dissatisfied. The training positively impacted participants' abilities to design branding content relevant to the needs of the digital market, potentially increasing the appeal of Jayapura MSME products in an increasingly competitive market. The findings highlight the importance of continuous training for MSMEs to strengthen digital marketing strategies and support local economic growth and competitiveness. In conclusion, branding design training using Canva has proven to be an effective solution to help Jayapura MSMEs create attractive visual content, enhance branding skills, and support digital marketing efforts.

Abstract

This study aims to enhance the capacity of micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) producing kerupuk tike in Domas Village, Pontang District, through training in financial management and digital marketing. Based on the background, MSMEs in the village face challenges in effective financial management and marketing. The method used involves interactive training and mentoring, which are expected to improve the participants' knowledge and skills. The research results show a significant increase in financial management understanding, with participants’ knowledge rising from 30-40% to 70-80% after the training. Additionally, the use of social media and e-commerce platforms successfully increased average monthly sales from IDR 1,500,000 to IDR 3,500,000. Participants' motivation to develop their businesses also improved, as indicated by an increase in monthly transactions from 15 to 30. Despite challenges in consistently applying the learned skills, the need for long-term mentoring is crucial to ensure the sustainability of the taught methods. In conclusion, this community service activity positively impacts the MSMEs in Domas Village, with capacity improvements that can support their future business success

Abstract

Circular economy is a circular system by maximizing the added value of waste materials that are not used in one production activity. One of circular economy in rice cultivation is integrated rice-duck-azolla farming. This concept produces a mutually beneficial agro-ecosystem between rice, ducks and azolla. Rice plants create a good growing environment for ducks and azolla. Duck droppings are a source of nutrients for azolla and rice plants and ducks are pest and weed control for rice plants. Azolla is a source of organic nitrogen and weed control for rice plants and a source of feed for ducks. This community service activity AIMS to reduce dependence on agrochemicals in rice cultivation and reduce the use of commercial feed in duck cultivation. The activity was carried out at the soponyono 1 farmer group, tanah periuk village, muara beliti district, musi rawas regency, south sumatera from july to september 2024. The results shows that the activity that utilize rice-duck-azolla cultivation, process azolla into compost and duck feed and process duck eggs. The sustainability of the program can be seen from the use of compost for ipomoea aquatica and spinach cultivation as well as feed given to duck

Abstract

This research aims to generally address the continuously increasing number of Indonesian migrant workers in Malaysia. Illegal Indonesian migrant workers in Malaysia are vulnerable to exploitation, abuse, and legal violations. The lack of understanding of immigration laws and legal protections can make them more vulnerable to adverse situations. Therefore, basic legal education and skills for illegal immigrant workers become important to enhance protection and social integration for these illegal migrant workers. The profile of the area where the service will take place is the Consulate General of the Republic of Indonesia (KBRI) in Malaysia. The Indonesian Consulate General (KBRI) is located at No.46, Jl. Taat, Off Jalan Tun Abdul Razak 80100 Johor Bahru, Johor Malaysia. The goal of the community partnership program for illegal Indonesian migrant workers in Malaysia is to provide basic knowledge about employment, including rights and obligations as citizens, so that they can anticipate potential conflicts arising from their illegal status. The stages of legal education and skills begin with socializing Law No. 18 of 2017 on the Protection of Indonesian Migrant Workers, providing soft skills training in language proficiency, and skills in the field of science

Abstract

The goal of the Community Partnership Program (PKM) is to generally respond to the circular on the child-friendly school program from the Medan City Government's Department of Education and Culture through mutual moderation as a good practice towards the child-friendly school program. The profile of the area where the service location is situated is Lalang Village, Medan Sunggal District, Medan City, covering an area of approximately 125 hectares. This village serves as the western gateway to Medan City and is traversed by the Trans-Sumatra Highway. Administratively, Lalang Village consists of 13 neighborhoods. Al-Wasliyah Middle School becomes the partner location for this community program activity. The potential problems found at the junior high school/equivalent education level are intolerance, bullying, and child violence. The solution offered through mutual moderation of diversity towards child-friendly schools makes Medan City a safe and comfortable place for every student by prioritizing tolerance, harmony, and comfort, which are the foundations of mutual moderation in good practices. Encouraging parental involvement in the children's education process, as well as giving special attention to the emotional and social well-being of the students. The method used involves systematic and coherent stages starting from data collection, socialization, education (FGD, research, and study visits), training, and mentoring. (monitoring dan evaluasi). Mutual moderation (or joint moderation) in the context of Child-Friendly Schools can be an effective approach to addressing problems, achieving common goals, and maintaining a positive environment. Through these steps, the process of mutual moderation can become an effective tool for achieving and maintaining a Child-Friendly School environment. It involves active collaboration and positive contributions from all stakeholders

Abstract

Adolescent reproductive health is very important to study because adolescence is a critical period in physical, mental, and emotional development. A good understanding of reproductive health helps teens make wise and responsible decisions regarding relationships, sexuality, and personal health. Education about reproductive health also plays a key role in dispelling myths and stigma, as well as building a generation that is healthy, knowledgeable, and ready to face life's challenges. This community service aims to raise awareness among MA Al-Munawwaroh Merauke students about the importance of adolescent reproductive health by providing accurate and comprehensive information on its key aspects. This initiative empowers adolescents to take better care of themselves and make informed and responsible decisions regarding their health. The results of this activity successfully increased students' awareness of the importance of adolescent reproductive health. Literacy among MA Al-Munawwaroh Merauke students regarding reproductive health has improved, enabling them to better appreciate and respect themselves and others

Abstract

The health sector is part of the impact of climate change both directly and indirectly. Climate change affects rainfall and temperature changes, causing disease-transmitting vectors such as mosquitoes to breed more easily. Moreover, it is supported by environmental factors and bad behavior in implementing clean and healthy living. Therefore, in addition to mitigation, efforts to adapt to climate change are important in anticipating the impact. The activity aims to provide supplies to increase community capacity, especially in terms of environmental health and clean and healthy living behavior (PHBS), as an effort as a climate change adaptation strategy. The method was health education with lectures, discussions, and a question-and-answer approach. In addition, a pre-test was previously carried out to fill in open questions related to the topics. All community leaders in Antutan village followed this activity. The activity was implemented on July 17, 2024, in Antutan Village, Tanjung Palas District, Bulungan Regency, North Kalimantan Province. This activity was successful, marked by the enthusiasm of the participants during the presentation as well as the many questions that came in during the question-and-answer session and discussion. Recommendations: The implementation of the Climate Village Program (PROKLIM) activities in Antutan Village for climate change adaptation is very important. Community capacity-building activities in terms of controlling communicable diseases should be made an annual routine agenda. The program should be developed in other community groups
