Abstract

The purpose of this research is threefold: first, to create a high-quality podcast as a learning tool for students; second, to validate podcasts with experts in their fields; and third, to assess how well the podcast works with students in grade twelve at Madrasah Aliyah PPMI Assalaam. Students from experimental class XII (n=35) participated in this study. The Classroom Action Study method, created by Kemmis and Mc Taggart, was used in this research and development. The procedure is carried out in the following order: (1) preparation, (2) implementation, (3) monitoring, and (4) analysis. Observation, interviews, testing, and documentation are the methods used to collect information for efficacy tests. Students can be motivated, their attention captured, their knowledge deepened, their learning outcomes improved, and their learning goals met with the help of high-quality podcast material. Student performance in the pre-cycle, the results of the presentation of the first cycle and the next stage of activities from the second cycle are indications of program efficacy. The findings of the study suggest that high school students can benefit from using audio podcasts as a learning tool. The feasibility test of the voice podcast learning media, which includes master validation in operational field experiments, yielded "Good" results. The use of audio podcasts as a teaching tool significantly improves students' presentation completion scores compared to the use of traditional teaching methods.

Abstract

This research is based on the results of observations and interviews conducted with several elementary school students who attended the afternoon Al-Quran Education Park (TPA) at An-Naml Qur'an House, Surakarta that during the process of delivering tajweed material the teacher only used the lecture method, which is a classical method that only conveys material by using oral and students listen to it. As a result, this method does not involve students, so it is felt that this method is less effective for tajweed material which is the main support in learning the Koran. Based on these facts, researchers then conducted a study that aims to determine the effectiveness, practicality and validity of interactive multimedia-based "tajweed" teaching materials for elementary school students in learning the Quran. The model used in this development research is ADDIE. There are 5 stages carried out, namely analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The method was chosen to achieve the research objectives, namely the effectiveness of this interactive multimedia-based learning method.

Abstract

The education process in childhood is one of the important prhase in the human’s growth and character development. This education process is usually conducted by parents as the main educators and also by teachers as educators in school institutions. Children who receive a good education will usually grow up with good behavior, while children who receive bad education will usually produce bad behavior. One of the bad methods in educating children is violent education. Starting from verbal violence in the form of insults, ridicule, gaslighting, belittling, to physical violence. The cause of violence behavior from educators (parents or teachers) to children can be many things, such as culture, psychological conditions of educators, or lack of insight and awareness from educators. Abstract

This research examines the motivation of students with learning disorders in memorizing the Alfiyah Ibnu Malik book verses at Pondok Pesantren Imadutthulabah. The study aims to understand both intrinsic and extrinsic motivation, as well as the supporting and inhibiting factors faced by these students. Using a phenomenological approach and descriptive qualitative method, this research collected data through interviews with the head of the boarding school, the Alfiyah book verse listeners, Nahwu Shorof subject teachers, and students with learning disorders. Data analysis was conducted through data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions, with data validity checks using source triangulation and method triangulation. Intrinsic motivation, such as personal satisfaction, a sense of achievement, personal development, and responsibility, plays a crucial role in supporting students. This motivation comes from an internal drive to understand and master knowledge, encouraging students to keep trying even though it requires more effort and time. Extrinsic motivation is also important, including external support like praise, expectations from others, and rewards, which encourage students to be more enthusiastic and persistent in their learning. The inhibiting factors faced include genetic, neurobiological, and environmental factors. This study reveals that despite the challenges, students with learning disorders demonstrate resilience and adaptability through various coping strategies. The findings highlight the need for tailored educational interventions and continuous support systems to maximize the students’ potential in Islamic boarding school environments.

Abstract

This research is motivated by a discrepancy between the ideal principles of Islam and field practices, where rewards and punishments are often applied mechanistically, ineducatively, and without considering students' psychological contexts. Using a descriptive qualitative approach and a case study method, data were collected through in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and documentation. The findings show that the implementation of reward and punishment at MA Hidayatus Subban is carried out regularly and relatively systematically. Rewards are given in both material and symbolic-spiritual forms, such as praise, certificates, and prayers, which have proven effective in enhancing motivation and fostering positive student behavior. Punishments, on the other hand, are applied in an educative manner, including advice, reflective assignments, and familial approaches aimed at developing moral awareness. However, the study also found inconsistencies among teachers in applying reward and punishment, leading to perceptions of injustice among students. The study concludes that the effectiveness of reward and punishment in Islamic education is greatly influenced by teachers’ understanding of spiritual values, sensitivity to students’ psychological conditions, and strong institutional support from the school principal and parental involvement. Rewards and punishments should not be treated merely as technical instruments of classroom management but must be grounded in an educational awareness rooted in Islamic values such as justice, compassion, responsibility, and self-awareness. When applied fairly, proportionally, and contextually—in alignment with the goals of Islamic education within the framework of maqashid al-shariah—educational institutions are expected to shape students who are not only behaviorally compliant but also possess strong moral and spiritual consciousness. Proper implementation of these methods impacts not only student discipline but also serves as a fundamental

Abstract

The leadership of madrasah principals plays a strategic role as change agents in implementing educational management reforms, particularly in the context of the Merdeka Curriculum. This study aims to analyze how madrasah principals initiate, direct, and oversee managerial transformations to ground the principles of the Merdeka Curriculum within the madrasah environment. Using a qualitative-descriptive approach, data was collected through in-depth interviews, participatory observations, and documentation studies in several madrasahs that served as research samples. The results indicate that the transformative leadership of madrasah principals, which is adaptive, collaborative, and visionary, is key in building a free and participatory learning culture. The madrasah principal acts as a facilitator of change, a driver of learning innovation, and a strengthening force in madrasah governance based on the values of moderation and progress. These findings recommend the importance of strengthening the leadership capacity of madrasah principals through continuous training and policy mentoring to effectively and sustainably manage curriculum change dynamics. This article uses a library research method with a descriptive-qualitative approach and thematic analysis to explore the strategic role of madrasah principals as change agents in the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum. The study is conducted by reviewing relevant literature to identify patterns, concepts, and challenges in transformative leadership and managerial strategies within the context of educational reform in madrasahs. The study results show that madrasah principals play a central role as change agents in the educational management reform based on the Merdeka Curriculum. The transformative and participatory leadership applied includes strengthening planning, developing contextual curricula, managing human resources, and integrating technology. Despite facing structural and cultural challenges, madrasah principals are able to overcome obstacles through effective communication, empowering teachers, and creating an adaptive learning ecosystem to ensure relevant and sustainable educational quality.
