Abstract

Efforts to build character through education are the right of every citizen to obtain education. The educational movement in prisons (correctional institutions) aims to strengthen the character of inmates through harmonization of heart (ethics), sense (aesthetics), thought (literacy) and sports (kinesthetics) with the support of public involvement and collaboration between educational institutions. Apart from that, it equips inmates to face conditions of moral, ethical and character degradation. The method of community service activities is through lectures and outreach to the target residents regarding religious aspects, educational aspects, legal aspects and health aspects. This community service activity was carried out on June 6 2024 at the Kendal Class IIA Correctional Institution. With this activity, prison inmates can strengthen their religious aspects so that they are able to correct mistakes and behave well, become citizens based on the character values ​​of the Indonesian nation, can know their rights as legal prisoners and lead a healthy life in body and soul.

Abstract

The Merdeka Curriculum has been implemented in the Education unit. The Merdeka Curriculum consists of intracurricular activities and projects to strengthen the profile of Pancasila students. The project to strengthen the profile of Pancasila students is a supporter of intracurricular activities in the independent curriculum. This community service aims to increase the understanding of teachers and students at SDN Sumber 1 regarding the Design of Strengthening the Pancasila Student Profile Project. This activity was carried out in 3 stages, namely the preparation, implementation and monitoring evaluation stages. The results of this activity are increasing student motivation, innovation and creativity, packaged in activities involving the use of plastic straws to make crafts and training in making hand washing soap as assistance in designing a project to strengthen the profile of Pancasila students which is going well. Participants seemed enthusiastic in taking part in activities which were expected to bring innovation and creativity in making a potential product. Activity participants also carried out the practice of the project to strengthen the profile of Pancasila students independently according to what had been trained so that it could be said that the understanding of teachers and students related to the project to strengthen the profile of Pancasila students increased. One form of P5 activity for students can be the use of plastic straw waste into crafts.  Plastic straws are a raw material that is very commonly used in various products, such as food and drink packaging. However, the use of plastic straws can also be an environmental problem if they are not processed properly. Another form of P5 activity for SDN Sumber 1 Surakarta schools can be making hand washing soap. The importance of using soap that is safe to use needs to be applied to schools.

Abstract

Banyak wanita muda mengalami nyeri selama menstruasi (dismenorea). Keluhan nyeri dapat berkisar dari ringan hingga berat. Penatalaksanaan dismenore yang kurang tepat akan mempengaruhi aktivitas dan kehadiran remaja putri di sekolah. Tidak hanya siswi yang dididik tentang dismenore, tetapi juga tenaga pendidik atau guru karena sekolah merupakan lokasi yang efektif karena anak menghabiskan banyak waktu di sana setiap hari. Tenaga pendidik sangat penting perannya dalam memberikan remaja pelatihan dan pengetahuan mengenai health promotion. Guru sendiri adalah orang kedua, setelah orang tua, yang menghabiskan waktu berbicara dan mendidik remaja putri tentang bidang kehidupan yang kritis ini. Tujuan dari kegiatan masyarakat ini adalah pada penanganan primer kesehatan remaja siswa di sekolah dengan memberikan pelatihan penatalaksanaan dismenore pada remaja metode non farmakologis. Kegiatan ini diselenggarakan dengan melakukan pendampingan pada para tenaga pendidik dalam menangani dismenorrea primer metode non farmakologis. Jumlah tenaga pendidik berjumlah 9 orang. Media pendampingan yaitu materi, video dan poster serta dilakukan pretest dan postest sebelumnya untuk melihat perubahan pada pengetahuan tenaga pendidik dalam menangani dismenorea. Terdapat peningkatan pengetahuan tentang penanganan dismenorea primer pasaca melakukan posttest. Setelah itu, tenaga pendidik melakukan edukasi dan penanganan pada 16 siswi SMP. Pendampingan ini dirasakan penting karena belum pernah diberikan sebelumnya.

Abstract

Program pengabdian kepada masyarakat (PKM) ini dilaksanakan di Desa Jembarwangi, Kecamatan Tomo, Kabupaten Sumedang, Jawa Barat, yang dikenal sebagai salah satu daerah penghasil buah eksotis, yaitu Mangga Gedong Gincu. Desa ini menghadapi masalah besar ketika musim panen tiba, terutama karena banyak buah mangga yang tidak memenuhi standar ekspor (grade Ab1) maupun lokal (grade Ab2), sehingga menyebabkan penumpukan buah yang akhirnya membusuk dan berpotensi mencemari lingkungan. Untuk mengatasi persoalan tersebut sekaligus meningkatkan perekonomian desa, dana Hibah PKM DRTPM Kemenristek tahun 2024 bersama Universitas Sangga Buana YPKP Bandung mendukung pengembangan produk kripik mangga Gedong Gincu di Desa Jembarwangi, agar dapat dipasarkan dengan baik dan memberikan manfaat ekonomi yang signifikan. Metode yang digunakan dalam kegiatan ini meliputi demonstrasi langsung proses pembuatan kripik, diskusi interaktif, dan pelatihan praktis yang melibatkan masyarakat. Hasil dari kegiatan ini menunjukkan respon positif dari peserta, namun dibutuhkan pendampingan lanjutan untuk memastikan hasil yang lebih maksimal. Hasil dari kegiatan pelatihan ini dibahas dalam artikel berjudul "Pelatihan dan Pendampingan Penggunaan Teknologi untuk Pengolahan Kripik Mangga Gedong Gincu di Desa Jembarwangi, Sumedang."

Abstract

Given the rapid advancements in information and communication technology, particularly in artificial intelligence (AI), this study explored the impact of a short training course on the management of AI-assisted learning at SMK Nusatama in Padang city conducted in the mids of August 2024. Designed to enhance teachers' competencies in integrating technology into the learning process, the study emphasized the methodology used to assess improvements in teachers' services and understanding. A set of questionnaires was administered to gauge the potential of AI in teaching. The findings revealed that the training effectively improved teachers' ability to incorporate AI into their teaching methods, enrich instructional materials, and foster student interaction and assessment. Additionally, the training played a significant role in developing teachers' digital skills, which were essential for navigating the challenges of education in the digital era. These findings were expected to serve as a valuable reference for further development in the application of AI within educational settings, particularly in vocational schools.

Abstract

This Community Service Program (PkM) focuses on increasing exports of superior regional products in Indragiri Hilir Regency, namely coconut, through the use of digital marketing for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs). MSMEs in this area, such as Gudang Kelapa Doa Ibu, face challenges in marketing their products globally due to limited knowledge and access to technology. This program is designed to empower MSMEs with training and assistance in using digital marketing strategies, including social media, websites and e-commerce. The service team also helps develop digital platforms such as e-commerce websites, inventory management applications, and integrated digital marketing systems that are tailored to the needs of MSMEs. The main objective of this program is to expand the export market, increase sales volume, and strengthen the position of coconut products from Indragiri Hilir Regency on the international market. This program also targets increasing human resource capacity in digital marketing and contributing to regional economic growth. The evaluation results show increased product visibility online, increased export sales, and strengthened the capacity of MSMEs in adopting digital technology for marketing and business operations.

Abstract

Academic Burnout is a problem experienced by students that causes a lack of motivation in learning and school activities. The high demands of school learning activities make students feel bored and physically exhausted. This occurs because the learning process has pushed students to their psychological and physical limits. Academic Burnout is a personal issue that must be addressed through the implementation of guidance and counseling services in schools. These services can be provided through individual or group counseling strategies. One group approach that is appealing to elementary school students is Art Therapy. Art Therapy is a therapeutic activity that uses the creative process as an expressive therapy for clients. This community service activity will be conducted in a two-day workshop on July 20-21, 2024, with expert faculty members as speakers. The workshop will take place from 08:00 AM to 03:00 PM WIB and will be held in Kerinci Kanan District, Siak Regency, Riau Province. The training will be guided by instructors, with participants receiving direct guidance in designing guidance and counseling services aligned with the new curriculum paradigm, enabling guidance counselors to develop skills to address students' academic Burnout using Art Therapy. The level of program goal achievement is categorized as high, at 90%. This can be seen from the participants' understanding of the stages of implementing Group Counseling with Art Therapy techniques, with teachers showing great interest in practicing the Art Therapy techniques in each session.

Abstract

One of the oldest football problems, particularly in Indonesia, is the referee dilemma. Even though referees play a crucial role in the quality of a game, news regarding the plight of Indonesian football referees—from security assurances during games to salary delays—frequently receives less attention. Even yet, the caliber of the referee who serves as the match's leader has a significant impact on the match's overall quality. It is understandable that the referee will ultimately fail to provide exceptional leadership if the welfare and safety of the match equipment are disregarded. This may be inextricably linked to the development of a culture in which referees are the primary occupation and profession in Indonesia. Referees are the primary employees in Indonesia, therefore it makes perfect sense for them to rely on the money they get from each game they officiate. Through age group tournaments and internal contests, ASKAB Pelalawan Regency regularly coaches football. The Pengcab's contests require the assistance of a knowledgeable, unbiased, and competent referee in making decisions. By doing this, the elements of a game are not at a disadvantage, and the competition may proceed in a fun way and be held on a regular basis.

Abstract

Islamic boarding schools (pesantren) play a crucial role in shaping students' character and knowledge, but health issues in these environments often receive less attention. This community service program, titled “Bersama Santri, Ciptakan Pesantren Sehat dan Menyenangkan”, aims to increase health awareness in pesantren using a creative Photovoice approach. Through Participatory Action Research (PAR), students actively identified health problems and solutions within their boarding school. The program involved workshops, photography, and discussions, allowing students to document and reflect on their school's health conditions. Results showed significant improvements in clean and healthy living behavior (PHBS), with students' understanding of PHBS rising from 45% to 85%, handwashing habits increasing from 55% to 90%, and room cleanliness from 50% to 88%. This approach empowered students as agents of change, enhancing collective responsibility towards creating a healthier pesantren. The success of this program suggests potential replication in other pesantren to promote a healthier educational environment.

Abstract

This Community Service (PkM) is one of the important pillars in community development and empowerment efforts. Collaboration of Economy, Law, and Music: CSP Strategy for Strengthening Creative Communities at SIB Church Tanjung Malim Malaysia aims to improve the capacity and skills of the church community through an interdisciplinary approach. This service integrates aspects of economy, law, and music arts to create a comprehensive and sustainable program in empowering creative communities. Through a series of trainings, this service seeks to increase community understanding of the socialization of digital financial literacy and financial processing to improve self-competence, personal data protection of consumers as users of online loan services. In addition, this activity also includes music training and choir resonance by finding the power of collective voices that aim to develop the musical talents and skills of community members. Collaboration between economists, legal experts, and professional musicians is at the heart of this approach, creating a strong synergy for community empowerment. The results of this CSP show a significant increase in participants' knowledge and skills in the fields of creative economy, legal awareness, and musical ability. Participants also showed a high interest in applying the knowledge gained to develop their own creative businesses. The program evaluation shows that the integration of these three aspects has successfully created a holistic positive impact, strengthening the creative community at the SIB Church in Tanjung Malim. This PkM highlights the importance of a collaborative and interdisciplinary approach to achieve maximum and sustainable results. This experience can be a model for similar initiatives in other communities, encouraging the development of a creative economy based on legal understanding and musical skill enhancement.
