Abstract

The development of immersive learning in primary education creates opportunities for innovation and complex challenges, particularly those related to children's developmental stages. This article aims to analyze the challenges and phenomena that occur in children's developmental stages in the application of immersive learning in primary education from a cognitive, socio-emotional, and psychological perspective. This article was written using a case study method with a descriptive-qualitative approach, through conceptual analysis and examination of teaching practices in the field. The main idea of ​​this article emphasizes that immersive learning is not only understood as the use of technology in learning, but also as a pedagogical approach that must be adapted to the child's developmental stage. The analysis shows that learning using immersive learning methods has the potential to support meaningful learning and children's holistic development as long as it is planned and structured contextually, gradually, and in accordance with the child's developmental stage. However, implementation that does not consider children's developmental readiness and the teacher's pedagogical role risks causing cognitive overload, psychological stress, and exacerbating socio emotional challenges. The conclusion of this article emphasizes the importance of the teacher's role as a facilitator of child development in immersive learning. Recommendations focus more on strengthening teachers' pedagogical competence, creating a supportive learning environment, and formulating learning policies that are responsive to children's developmental needs in primary education.

Abstract

This study examines the implementation of the domicile-based New Student Admission System (SPMB) at SDN Kutorejo II from a POAC management perspective. A qualitative descriptive approach was employed. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and document analysis involving the principal, admission committee, teachers, and staff. The findings indicate that planning was conducted in accordance with technical guidelines, organizing was carried out through task allocation, implementation proceeded in an orderly manner despite challenges in parental understanding, and controlling was implemented through internal evaluation and complaint follow-up. Overall, the implementation was fairly effective, although improvements in socialization and supervision are still needed.

Abstract

The training program “Designing Educational Games Using Canva AI” was conducted to enhance early childhood teachers’ competencies in utilizing digital technology as a creative and interactive learning medium. This program aimed to strengthen teachers’ understanding of educational game concepts, improve their technical skills in using Canva AI, and encourage the creation of learning media aligned with early childhood developmental characteristics. The training applied an intensive workshop approach consisting of material presentations, demonstrations, hands-on practice, mentoring, and product presentations. Evaluation was carried out through a feedback survey involving 25 participants assessed across ten key indicators. The results showed highly positive responses, particularly in understanding the material, the quality of facilitator guidance, the effectiveness of the workshop method, and increased teacher confidence. Participants successfully produced varied and engaging digital educational games, although challenges remained in enhancing game interactivity and simplifying instructional elements. These findings indicate that the training effectively improved teachers’ digital literacy and creativity, while also highlighting the need for further mentoring to strengthen pedagogical aspects in game design. Overall, the program contributed significantly to preparing early childhood teachers to integrate digital technology into classroom learning.

Abstract

Ketersediaan air bersih yang memenuhi standar kesehatan masih menjadi permasalahan di berbagai wilayah, terutama pada masyarakat yang bergantung pada air sumur. Permasalahan utama yang sering dijumpai adalah rendahnya kualitas air akibat tingginya kandungan logam besi (Fe) dan mangan (Mn) serta buruknya kualitas fisik air, seperti kekeruhan, warna, dan bau. Kondisi tersebut berpotensi menimbulkan dampak kesehatan apabila air digunakan secara terus menerus tanpa pengolahan yang memadai. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji pengaruh proses filtrasi air berbasis material alami jerami terhadap penurunan kandungan Fe dan Mn secara indikatif, meningkatkan kualitas fisik air, serta menentukan kombinasi media filtrasi yang paling optimal. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan pendekatan eksperimen sederhana melalui perbandingan kondisi air sebelum dan sesudah proses filtrasi. Sistem filtrasi dirancang menggunakan media alami dan mineral yang disusun secara berlapis, meliputi jerami, arang sekam padi, karbon aktif, pasir silika, kerikil zeolit, dan spons Aquadine. Parameter yang diamati meliputi kekeruhan, warna, dan bau air, yang dianalisis secara deskriptif kuantitatif menggunakan skor penilaian kualitas air. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa proses filtrasi memberikan pengaruh positif terhadap peningkatan kualitas air sumur. Terjadi penurunan indikatif kandungan Fe dan Mn yang ditunjukkan oleh berkurangnya bau logam dan warna kekuningan air. Kualitas fisik air mengalami peningkatan signifikan, ditandai dengan air yang lebih jernih, tidak berwarna, dan tidak berbau. Kombinasi media filtrasi berlapis terbukti lebih efektif dibandingkan penggunaan media tunggal. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa sistem filtrasi air berbasis material alami jerami merupakan solusi sederhana, ekonomis, dan aplikatif dalam meningkatkan kualitas air sumur, sehingga berpotensi menjadi teknologi tepat guna untuk pemenuhan kebutuhan air bersih masyarakat.

Abstract

Digital technology is forcing schools to create a brand strategy that can adjust to build a good image and make the community trust them. Branding 4.0, which uses social media, is a strategic method that works well in this situation. This study aims to look at how to design, carry out, and evaluate Branding 4.0 based on social media in order to improve the school's image. The research uses a descriptive qualitative approach with the location being SDN Pandaan I, in Pasuruan Regency. The subjects include the school principal, teachers, teaching staff, and the school's social media administrators. Data was collected through in-depth interviews, observation, and document study. Data analysis was done using the interactive model by Miles and Huberman, and combining sources and techniques to ensure the data is valid. The results show that Branding 4.0 is designed by using social media as the main communication channel for the school, implemented through the regular sharing of content about school activities and achievements, and evaluated based on public responses and levels of trust. Applying Branding 4.0 based on social media helps improve the school's image positively in the eyes of the community.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effectiveness of implementing an evaluation model as an assessment instrument for learning outcomes while simultaneously improving the quality of laboratory activities in the Basic Physics course. The research participants were 38 undergraduate students of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA) enrolled in Class B of the Basic Physics course during the first semester. The study employed a classroom action research design conducted through systematic and iterative stages. Data were collected through observation, documentation, and performance-based laboratory assessments, and subsequently analyzed using a combination of qualitative and quantitative approaches. The findings indicate a measurable improvement in the quality of laboratory implementation across all phases of the practicum. In the preparation phase, student performance increased to 68.5%, encompassing the ability to formulate research problems, articulate practicum objectives, demonstrate understanding of underlying theoretical concepts, and construct appropriate data tables. The implementation phase showed an improvement of 72.5%, reflected in students’ proficiency in selecting and assembling laboratory equipment, accurately manipulating instruments, reading measurement scales, and demonstrating scientific attitudes such as discipline, responsibility, active participation, and collaboration within groups. In addition, students’ collaborative skills—particularly initiative, leadership, and engagement in group work—exhibited notable development. The reporting phase achieved an improvement rate of 71.5%, as evidenced by accurate data presentation, correct application of measurement units, repeated measurements, appropriate use of formulas in data analysis, graphical representation of results, and the ability to draw logical conclusions supported by interpretation and acknowledgment of limitations. Overall, the results suggest that the systematic application of an evaluation model effectively enhances both the process and outcomes of Basic Physics laboratory activities, particularly in terms of students’ practical skills, scientific attitudes, and analytical competencies.

Abstract

Bullying and sexual violence in school environments remain critical issues that directly affect students’ mental health, learning comfort, and character development. The lack of students’ understanding regarding the forms, impacts, and reporting mechanisms of such violence increases the risk of its occurrence. This study aims to enhance school community awareness through educational programs on anti-bullying and sexual violence at SMK Muhammadiyah 04 Boyolali. The method used is a participatory counseling approach through lectures, interactive discussions, and case studies involving students and educators. The results show a significant improvement in students’ understanding of bullying behaviors, types of sexual violence, and the importance of reporting and maintaining mutual safety. The educational program also increased students’ confidence to speak up, creating a safer and more comfortable school environment. In conclusion, anti-bullying and sexual violence education is proven effective as a preventive effort to build collective awareness within the school community.

Abstract

Indonesia's energy transition law remains fragmented and incoherent in supporting sustainability and the transition to a climate-just energy system. Despite increasing commitments to renewable energy, the absence of binding legal instruments, overlapping sectoral regulations, and weak public participation have led to legal uncertainty and institutional fragmentation. This study proposes a normative legal model to strengthen renewable energy governance through the precautionary principle and a just transition. Using normative juridical methods and legal, conceptual, and comparative approaches, the study analyzes Indonesian legal instruments and compares them with those of several ASEAN and Global South jurisdictions. The results indicate the absence of an integrated climate-energy governance framework that guarantees regulatory coherence, rights-based participation, and environmental protection. Therefore, it is recommended that a Renewable Energy Law be established based on climate justice and human rights, supported by cross-sectoral harmonization and mandatory sustainability impact assessments. This study emphasizes that law must function as a transformative instrument towards social and environmental justice and contribute theoretically and practically through an integrative legal model relevant to developing countries in the Global South.

Abstract

Horticultural farming in Indonesia faces recurring pest attacks and declining soil fertility, which lower productivity. This study implemented an 8-in-1 sensor-based soil monitoring system and pest control using solar-powered UV traps at the Tunas Muda Farmers Group in Wonosobo, Central Java, which cultivates potatoes, cabbage, and carrots. Despite its ideal geographical conditions, productivity is still constrained by technical factors. A quantitative method with an experimental design compared land conditions before and after the technology implementation, with data collected through mobile-based IoT sensors. Results showed that the soil monitoring system increased fertilizer efficiency by 35%, while the UV traps reduced pest populations by 42% and chemical pesticide use by 45%. This research contributes to the development of environmentally friendly horticultural smart farming in Indonesia, particularly in the highlands.

Abstract

The management of household organic waste is a growing challenge in residential areas due to increasing waste volumes and limited source-level treatment systems. This community service program aimed to build the capacity of residents in ATR-2 Housing, Jember, to process organic waste through assisted compost production using an aerobic drum composter. Activities included socialization, hands-on practice in filling and operating the drum composter, and monitoring and evaluation of the composting process. A 60-liter drum composter was operated using a layering technique of organic materials, addition of dry materials, and application of the EM4 activator. Results showed that liquid organic fertilizer could be harvested approximately one week after initial filling, while solid compost reached maturity within 30–40 days, characterized by a darker color, crumbly texture, and absence of foul odor. The program contributed to a reduction in organic waste volume, improved residents’ awareness and skills, and supported the use of compost on communal public facility planting areas. The mentoring-based approach proved effective and has potential for replication in other neighborhood or residential community settings.
