Abstract

The quality of life related to health can be affected by disease conditions, one of which is hypertension. Hypertension can reduce the quality of life due to the impact of the disease itself as well as the consequences of the treatment carried out. Elderly people who have a poor quality of life can have a negative impact on their physical and mental health. The quality of life of the elderly with hypertension is influenced by various factors, one of which is self-efficacy. Self-efficacy makes an important contribution to understanding the process of behavior change, where high self-efficacy makes individuals feel capable of taking the necessary actions. The study was conducted to determine the relationship between self-efficacy and quality of life in the elderly with hypertension and the characteristics of the elderly, namely age, gender, and family caring for the elderly. This study is an observational analytical study  with a bivariate Chi Square test. The sample in this study amounted to 106 elderly people who were selected using the Purposive Sampling method. Data was collected using questionnaires with instruments. Of the 106 elderly respondents in the Cakung Health Center area who became respondents, the results of the elderly who had high self-efficacy with the results of 65 (61.3%) were elderly, while the elderly who had low self-efficacy obtained results of 41 (38.7%). In addition, the results of the elderly who had a good quality of life were obtained with the results of 59 (55.7%) elderly people, while the elderly who had a poor quality of life with the results of 47 elderly people (44.3%). This study shows a meaningful relationship between self-efficacy and the quality of life of the elderly with hypertension (p=0.006). There is a meaningful relationship between self-efficacy and the quality of life of the elderly with hypertension.

Abstract

The elderly population is particularly vulnerable to various health issues, including sleep disturbances and hypertension. Poor sleep quality can lead to increased blood pressure by stimulating the sympathetic nervous system and elevating stress hormones. This study explored the relationship between sleep quality and blood pressure among elderly women with hypertension. This study uses a quantitative method with an analytical descriptive design with a cross-sectional approach. The sampling technique in this study used purposive sampling with a sample of 67 elderly women with hypertension. The instruments used were the Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI) questionnaire to measure sleep quality and a digital sphygmomanometer to measure blood pressure. The data analysis in this study used the Chi-Square test. Most of the elderly had poor sleep quality as many as 50 elderly (74.6%) and degree II hypertension as many as 44 elderly people (65.7%). The results of statistical tests showed a significant relationship between sleep quality and blood pressure in elderly women with hypertension, as evidenced by obtaining a p-value of 0.000 (<0.05).Poor sleep quality in people with hypertension can lead to memory impairment, cognitive abilities, and decreased health. It is hoped that the role of the family and the community health center will be to carry out monitoring and evaluation and motivate the elderly to control blood pressure and sleep regularly.

Abstract

This research explores the relationship between specific characteristics of banks and their profitability. Bank profitability is related to external and internal factors regarding assets, capital, and loans in general. This study is mainly concerned with internal factors that influence the profitability of commercial banks in Indonesia. 55 Banks including 51 National Private Banks, and 4 Public Sector Banks. Data taken in its entirety from the Financial Services Authority website in 2023. Using the Ordinary Least Square (OLS) method with the help of Stata software. The results of the research show that in a simultaneous test, the asset, capital, and loan variables have a positive and significant effect on profitability with the figure obtained being 78% while other variables explain the rest, while in a partial test, the asset and bank loan variables harm bank profitability, and only the capital variable which is positively related to profitability by 86%, and the rest is explained by other variables. This shows that large banks may face similar challenges as marginal profits decrease as targets must be achieved because in fact the bank Asset and Loan variables are also expected to be the main source of income so that they have a positive relationship with bank performance.

Abstract

Hypertension is blood pressure that increases beyond normal limits. In the elderly, the type of hypertension that is often encountered is isolated systolic hypertension (ISH), which is high systolic pressure above 140 mmHg, but diastolic pressure remains at average numbers below 90 mmHg. One of the complementary therapies that can be used by the elderly who have hypertension is acupressure and murottal therapy of the Quran. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of acupressure and murotal combination therapy of the Qur'an on blood pressure in elderly people with hypertension. The research design used was quasi-experimental with two group pretest and posttest design with a control group. The population in this studi were elderly with hypertension. The sampling technique used total sampling, namely 36 hypertensive elderly and divided into 18 intervention groups and 18 control groups. During 6 days, they are given intervension combination acupressure and murotal combination therapy of the qur'an. The analysis of this study used univariate, bivariate analysis with paired sample T-Test and independent T-Test, and multivariate analysis with GLM. Data processing in this study used SPSS version 26.0. The findings showed that the systolic and diastolic, in elderly people with hypertension decreased after being given combined therapy with acupressure and murottal therapy of the Quran therapy (p value = 0.000). doing a combination of acupressure and murotal treatment of the Qur'an can provide a mental calm effect on the elderly and improve blood flow, to reduce blood pressure in the elderly who have hypertension. It is hoped that this research can be a reference and can be used as one of the non-pharmacological therapeutic interventions using acupressure and murotal combination therapy of the Qur'an in providing nursing care, especially for the elderly who have hypertension.

Abstract

Indoor air quality (IAQ) monitoring in industrial spaces is vital to protect workers from particulate matter exposure (PM₁, PM₂.₅, PM₁₀). Yet, many low-cost IoT systems prioritize outdoor, wide-area deployments and rarely confront two issues that matter indoors: inter-node measurement consistency when multiple identical sensors are co-located, and firmware-level transmission efficiency for Wi-Fi nodes operating under energy and bandwidth constraints. This work addresses both by presenting a reproducible, low-cost IAQ node built on an ESP32 (S3) and a PMS7003, coupled with a lightweight, on-device data-deduplication routine that suppresses redundant packets before they reach the network stack. The node integrates temperature–humidity sensing, RTC-GNSS for stable timestamps, local SD logging, a compact display for in-situ readouts, and standard Wi-Fi for infrastructure-friendly connectivity, enabling autonomous operation with optional MQTT back-end integration. We evaluate the design via a 24-hour co-location test of four identical nodes in a controlled indoor room (5-minute sampling). Minute-aligned time series are analyzed using one-way ANOVA to quantify inter-node agreement. Results indicate no statistically significant differences among nodes for PM₁, PM₂.₅, and PM₁₀ (p > 0.05), confirming internal consistency suitable for simultaneous multi-point monitoring. The deduplication routine reduces transmissions by ≈3.2% without information loss, modest per device, but compounding across dense deployments to lower network load and energy use. Together, these outcomes validate (i) a practical hardware–firmware stack for low-cost IAQ sensing in indoor factories, (ii) a deployable firmware strategy for network-efficient reporting, and (iii) an empirical inter-node consistency assessment using co-location and ANOVA. The approach facilitates scalable, accurate, and efficient IAQ surveillance for occupational safety programs and compliance workflows. Future work will extend to longer horizons, drift characterization, and integration with adaptive, event-driven analytics and calibration pipelines for robust industrial rollouts.

Abstract

The Department of Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) has a strategic role in ensuring occupational safety, health, and environmental protection, especially in B3 waste management. However, in practice, problems such as low work efficiency, a less organized work environment, and non-compliance with safety procedures are still found. One approach that can be applied to overcome this problem is the 5S work culture (Seiri, Seiton, Seiso, Seiketsu, and Shitsuke). This study aims to analyze the influence of 5S culture on the activities of HSE Department employees at PT Trigunapratama Abadi. The research uses a quantitative approach with a descriptive and verifiable design. Primary data were obtained through a Likert scale questionnaire distributed to HSE employees and analyzed using multiple linear regression with the help of SPSS software. The results showed that simultaneously the 5S culture did not have a significant effect on employee activities, with a significance value of the F test of 0.701. Partially, each of the 5S variables also did not show a significant influence on employee activities. A determination coefficient value (R Square) of 0.397 indicates that the 5S culture is able to explain 39.7% of the variation in employee activities, while the rest is influenced by other factors outside the study model. Nevertheless, the implementation of the 5S culture remains important as the basis for the formation of orderly, disciplined, and safety-oriented work behavior.
