Abstract

This research seeks to examine how multicultural education is applied to promote tolerance in inclusive classrooms in primary schools. Multicultural education is crucial within the context of diversity in Indonesia, particularly in elementary schools where students come from various cultural, religious, and ability backgrounds, including those with special needs. To meet this goal, this research utilized a literature review approach, which included gathering, examining, and synthesizing a range of pertinent scientific materials, including domestic and global journals, reference books, and earlier research results. The data were examined through a descriptive-qualitative lens, leading to both a theoretical and practical comprehension of how multicultural education is applied in inclusive elementary schools. The findings suggest that multicultural education is crucial in fostering values of tolerance, empathy, fairness, and mutual respect in students. By adopting methods like integrating diversity principles into the curriculum, using cooperative learning, fostering intercultural engagement, and promoting project-based initiatives, educators can create a classroom environment that appreciates diversity. The research indicates that there are contributing elements like teacher preparedness, inclusive educational policies, and the implementation of diversity-focused learning resources. Nonetheless, challenges exist such as teachers' insufficient comprehension of multicultural education, inadequate supporting resources, and minimal community engagement. This study validates that the adoption of multicultural education in inclusive classrooms is a proactive measure to promote tolerance among elementary school students. These initiatives need to be implemented in a systematic and ongoing way to effectively address the obstacles presented by diversity in education.

Abstract

This study examines the implementation of Child-Friendly Schools (SRA) policies in preventing bullying of students with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) in inclusive elementary schools. The main focus of the research is how SRA principles are applied to create a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment for students with special needs. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, this study examines the role of teachers, school policies, and intervention strategies designed to build an anti-bullying culture. Data was obtained through literature studies and field observations, then analyzed using content analysis techniques. The results of the study show that comprehensive assessment, curriculum modification, and support of special assistant teachers are key factors in the success of inclusive education. The consistent and collaborative implementation of SRA policies has been proven to increase the awareness of all school residents on the importance of protecting and accepting student diversity. In addition, the involvement of teachers, parents, and sustainable government policies is indispensable to strengthen inclusive education systems. This study emphasizes that the implementation of SRA is not only a bullying prevention strategy, but also a strategic step in ensuring the right of children with special needs to obtain equal, quality, and development-oriented education that is oriented towards the development of potential and positive character.

Abstract

Inclusive education in elementary schools requires learning strategies that accommodate students’ diverse abilities and learning needs. Differentiated instruction is considered a relevant approach to support inclusive learning. This study aims to describe the practice of differentiated learning as a strategy for inclusive education in elementary schools. The research employed a qualitative descriptive method using classroom observations, teacher interviews, and documentation analysis. The findings indicate that differentiated instruction is implemented through variations in content, learning processes, and learning products adjusted to students’ readiness and learning profiles. This approach enhances student participation, learning motivation, and supports the inclusion of students with special needs. The study concludes that differentiated instruction is an effective strategy for fostering inclusive learning environments in elementary schools

Abstract

This study aims to describe the role of inclusive education in shaping students’ character of mutual respect at the elementary school level. Inclusive education emphasizes equal learning opportunities for all students regardless of differences in abilities, backgrounds, or special needs. This research is grounded in the importance of fostering respect as a fundamental social character in diverse learning environments. A qualitative descriptive approach was employed in this study. The participants consisted of teachers and students in an inclusive elementary school. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The findings indicate that inclusive education plays a significant role in developing students’ attitudes of mutual respect, as reflected in positive social interactions, acceptance of differences, empathy, and cooperative behavior among students. Through inclusive learning practices, students learn to appreciate diversity and build respectful relationships. Therefore, inclusive education contributes effectively to character education, particularly in fostering mutual respect among elementary school students.

Abstract

This study aimed to understand how the creative values ​​in Pancasila Student Profile are applied in Science and Social Studies (IPAS) learning in the third-grade of elementary school students. This study used a qualitative approach with a case study model implemented at integrated Islamic elementary school (SDIT) Yasir, Cipondoh, Tangerang. The study subjects included 3 teachers and 27 third-grade students. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documents, while data validity was tested using source and technique triangulation. Data analysis was carried out interactively through the stages of collection, reduction, presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results showed that teachers have integrated creative values ​​in IPAS learning by linking them to various learning activities. One concrete example was the project of making Geographic modelling using the Project Based Learning (PjBL) approach. In this activity, students were engaged in the assigned activities to design, build, and present the model from simple materials. Through this process, they learned to think innovatively, dare to express ideas, and work collaboratively. This activity was proven effective to increase student motivation and participation, although there were still obstacles such as limited time and understanding of scientific concepts. Therefore, teachers are required to enhance their novelty strategy in the pedagogical approaches so that the ability of students thoughts and creativity can be maximized.

Abstract

Penguatan Profil Pelajar Pancasila, khususnya aspek bernalar kritis, ialah hal yang sangat penting untuk mengoptimalkan kualitas pembelajaran IPAS di sekolah dasar. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis bagaimana kemampuan bernalar kritis siswa terintegrasi dalam pembelajaran IPAS kelas 6 di Sekolah Dasar. Metode yang digunakan ialah pendekatan kualitatif dengan jenis penelitian studi kasus, yang mencakup observasi, wawancara, dan analisis dokumen terhadap guru, siswa, dan kepala sekolah di SDN Cipondoh Makmur, Tangerang. Hasil penelitian menyatakan bahwa integrasi P5 di SDN Cipondoh Makmur memberikan dampak positif dalam mengembangkan karakter dan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa melalui pembelajaran IPAS, yang didukung oleh metode pembelajaran aktif, penggunaan sumber belajar digital, dan peran guru sebagai fasilitator. Pendekatan ini selaras dengan nilai-nilai dalam Profil Pelajar Pancasila.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi implementasi Metode Among dalam kegiatan Pramuka Siaga di SD Islam Imam Syafi’i sebagai strategi pembentukan karakter peserta didik usia 6–9 tahun. Fokus utama penelitian ini adalah menelaah bagaimana prinsip Ing Ngarsa Sung Tuladha, Ing Madya Mangun Karsa, dan Tut Wuri Handayani diterapkan untuk menumbuhkan nilai-nilai disiplin, kepemimpinan, kerja sama, motivasi positif, dan kemandirian anak. Latar belakang penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan Metode Among di lapangan seringkali masih bersifat instruktif dan belum sepenuhnya menumbuhkan partisipasi aktif peserta didik. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan desain studi kasus yang dilaksanakan pada 15 Mei 2025. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara mendalam dengan satu pembina Pramuka Siaga dan observasi partisipatif terhadap aktivitas peserta. Analisis data mengacu pada model Miles dan Huberman yang mencakup reduksi data, penyajian tematik, serta verifikasi melalui triangulasi sumber, member check, dan peer debriefing. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa keteladanan pembina melalui aturan yang konsisten, komunikasi humanis, dan sanksi edukatif efektif menumbuhkan kedisiplinan serta kepemimpinan sederhana. Strategi motivasi positif dan penghargaan simbolik meningkatkan rasa percaya diri, sementara dukungan teman sebaya memperkuat nilai kerja sama dan gotong royong. Penelitian merekomendasikan pelatihan berkelanjutan bagi pembina serta kolaborasi intensif dengan orang tua untuk memastikan keberlanjutan pembinaan karakter anak di lingkungan sekolah dan keluarga.

Abstract

Many parents still do not understand the role of the caliph in the context of environmental conservation. Islamic-based environmental education is an effort to instill values of care for nature grounded in the teachings of the Qur'an and Hadith. Islamic environmental education can be carried out through the inculcation of religious values relevant to ecological issues, such as living simply, conserving energy, and wisely using resources. The purpose of this community service is to build awareness and active involvement of parents of MI students in Islamic-based environmental education. The implementation method involves initial identification and observation by the community service team, followed by socialization and education on Islamic-based environmental education. The results show significant improvement in parents' understanding of their role in environmental conservation as part of worship and Islamic ethics, reflected in the difference between pretest and posttest scores. This socialization also encourages practical behavioral changes within the family environment, thereby shaping children’s ecological character from an early age. The community service strengthens synergy among schools, families, and communities in fostering a culture of cleanliness, health, and sustainable living in accordance with Islamic values. Thus, this program provides a real contribution to strengthening family education and environmental preservation from an Islamic perspective.
