Abstract

This research aims to find out the reasons why this city transportation driver consumes alcohol, to find out and describe how the transportation driver gets alcohol and what types of drinks they consume to analyze the data in this study using Jean Paul Sarte's Phenomenology theory. The data collection techniques used in this study are informant determination techniques, data collection techniques, involved observation, ethnographic interviews and data analysis techniques. This research is a study using ethnographic research methods. The results of this study indicate that one of the factors causing them to consume alcohol is due to a sense of trial and error so that they become addicted and also due to life problems. The way they get alcohol is by asking friends, taxing and buying their own drinks. As for the types of drinks they usually consume, usually traditional alcoholic drinks such as arak, kameko, pongasi and ballo because traditional alcoholic drinks are very easy to find and the price is also very affordable compared to alcoholic drinks that already have a brand or brand.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the use of idle land by the Lamorende Village, Tongkuno District, Muna Regency community. Using James S. Coleman's Rational Choice theory, this research answers the problem of idle land use. The method used is ethnography with in-depth observations and interviews, and purposive sampling for informant selection. The data was analyzed descriptively to make it easier to read and apply. The results showed that idle land is used with a borrow-and-manage system for short-term agriculture, without permission to build permanent buildings or raise livestock. This land use is very influential on people's lives, being the main source of income for them. The community feels helped by the increase in income from this land.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi dan mendeskripsikan peralihanmmata pencaharianmOrang Bajo dari nelayanmmenjadi buruh pabrik (Studi di Desa Bungingkela, Kecamatan Bungku Selatan, Kabipaten Morowali, Provinsi Sulawesi Tengah). Teori yang digunakan adalah teori fenomenologi Alfred Schutz. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode etnografi berupa deskripsi mendalam, dan pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan observasi dan wawancara terkait. Hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa penurunan pendapatan nelayan dipengaruhi oleh limbah pabrik serta tingginya penghasilan menjadi buruh pabrik dibandingkan dengan nelayan. selain itu peralihan mata pencaharian Orang Bajo dari nelayan menjadi buruh pabrik dipengaruhimolehmbeberapa faktor yaitumsebagai berikut; 1) faktor kurangnya lapangan pekerjaan, 2) faktor ekanomi, 3) faktor pendidikan, 4) faktor persaingan hidup, 5) faktor kesempatan kerja, dan 6) faktor upah kerja.

Abstract

This research aims to determine: the social relations between collectors and catch fishermen in Torokeku Village, as well as to find out the importance of social relations formed between catch fishermen and collectors in Torokeku Village. This research uses social capital theory according to Francis Fukuyama. The method in this research is ethnography with a data collection method combining participant observation techniques and in-depth interviews. The community environment in Torokeku Village, Tinanggea District, has relationships that occur, starting from one individual to another. The results of the research show that the social relations between collectors and fishermen in Torokeku Village go through several things; First, accounts payable. Fishermen in Torokeku Village have practiced paying debts to collectors so they can carry out fishing activities. There are several fishermen who practice debt and receivables in Torokeku Village, namely, collectors with fishermen who catch fish, collectors with fishermen who catch crabs, and collectors with fishermen who catch sea cucumbers. Second, buying and selling. Buying and selling between collectors and fishermen who catch fish, collectors and fishermen who catch sea cucumbers, and collectors and fishermen who catch crabs. Apart from that, the lives of fishermen are not free from reciprocal relationships, such as between collectors and captured fishermen who always form a bond or relationship that occurs continuously. The relationship that exists is based on each other's abilities and expertise with agreed terms. Social relations between collectors and fishermen in Torokeku Village are formed by several factors, namely supporting factors such as being influenced by ethnic relations, kinship, trust, friendship, neighbor relations and professional factors.

Abstract

This research aims to find out and describe the benefits of mangrove forests in Koepisino Village, Bonegunu District, North Buton Regency and the efforts of the community and government in preserving mangrove forests in Koepisino Village, Bonegunu District, North Buton Regency. This research method uses a qualitative descriptive research method. The data collection techniques used in this research are observation, interviews and documentation methods. The theory used is Cultural Ecology Theory by Julian H Steward. The results of this research show that mangrove wood is very useful for the people of Koepisino village, one of which is as a tool for building houses, such as house frames, rafters and boards, apart from being useful for building houses, it is also used as firewood, slanted poles and para-para for drying jelly. . The Koepisino Village community also conserves mangrove forests together with the local government, the community looks for mangrove wood seeds, plants and controls the growth of the mangrove plants that have been planted, while the government only provides a budget for preservation and supervises the community who carry out the planting.
