Abstract

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the form of legal protection provided to insurance consumers in cases of default by insurance companies, by referring to the provisions of Law Number 8 of 1999 concerning Consumer Protection. In practice, default cases often result in material and immaterial losses for policyholders, as well as legal uncertainty. Through a normative legal approach, this study examines the rights and obligations of the parties in the insurance agreement and the role of the supervisory institution in ensuring the fulfillment of consumer rights. The results of the study indicate that although there are regulations governing consumer protection, their implementation still faces various obstacles, especially in terms of law enforcement and dispute-resolution mechanisms. Therefore, it is necessary to strengthen regulations and optimize the role of the Financial Services Authority and the National Consumer Protection Agency in providing effective and fair legal protection for insurance consumers.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the concentrations of secondary metabolites in Carica papaya (papaya) leaves and their correlation with soil chemical properties in Aceh Besar. Purposive sampling was used to select papaya plant leaves from the Kajhu and Ie Seuum areas for this study. Soil samples were collected from where the papaya leaf samples were obtained. Utilization of the maceration technique for extracting papaya leaves and identifying secondary metabolite compounds via Gas Chromatography Mass Spectrophotometry (GCMS). The chromatogram results indicated that squalene and linolenic acid were the compounds with the highest percentages. At the same time, the soil samples were subsequently analyzed for N, P, K, C, pH, and temperature content. Subsequently, the acquired data were subjected to multiple regression analysis. The findings indicated that the squalene content was 3.2–3.35% in Kajhu and 10.4–10.5% in Ie Seum, whereas linolenic acid levels were 10.18–10.21% and 4.03–4.05%, respectively. The squalene content positively correlates with P, pH, and temperature, whereas linolenic acid correlates solely with the P elements. The chemical properties of the soil do not significantly influence the content of squalene and linolenic acid.

Abstract

Changes in generator power losses are adjusted to the load needs in the field, which is constantly changing and can affect the value of the per- phase current and generator field current, causing power losses. The resulting power losses affect the efficiency of the PLTU generator. To determine the generator’s efficiency due to load changes, this study was carried out using manual calculation method by collecting data on specifications, resistance, and dialy log sheets of the 2x3 MW Malinau PLTU generator unit 2 conducted at PT. Nusa Daya Unit PLTU Malinau. Based on the callculation data on May 17, the highest efficiency was 79,69% at a load 2,372 MW, while the lowest efficiency was 78,03% at a load of 2,137 MW. For the callculation results of May 18, the highets efficiency was 79,51% at a load 2,342 MW, while the lowest efficiency was 76,37% at a load of 1,941 MW. The greater the power generated by generator, the higher the efficiency of the generator and the better the generator performance. Keywords: PLTU, generator, load changes, power losses, efficiency

Abstract

Hypertension is a significant public health problem and a risk factor for cardiovascular disease and other complications. According to Riskesdas data, the prevalence of hypertension sufferers under the age of 18 was 25.8% in 2013 and increased to 34.1% in 2018. This community service aims to increase the knowledge of Generation Z, namely students who live in the Muhammadiyah Patronage House in Banda Aceh City. Educational activities were carried out using the Participatory Action Research (PAR) method and were carried out on October 27, 2024, at the Muhammadiyah Patronage House prayer room with 25 students as participants. Participants were given a knowledge questionnaire before and after the activity, and the data were analyzed using SPSS. The extension instrument was a PowerPoint presentation. Abstract

Introduction: Bilateral pneumothorax is a rare case which happens in 1.3 to 1.9 percent of all cases of  pneumothorax.1 In breast carcinoma patients, it is due to lung metastasis and first selected conservative therapy.2 Lung metastasis can be found in the appearance of pulmonary nodules called cannon-ball metastases in chest X-Ray (CXR).3 Method: Case report based on findings in chest X-Ray. Result: A 42 year-old female came to ER with sudden shortness of breath and pleuritic pain. She was diagnosed with breast carcinoma 3 years prior the ER visit and had undergone mastectomy on breasts and chemotherapy. Physical examination showed bilaterally decreased breath sounds. CXR AP postion showed bilateral pneumothorax and multiple nodules varied in size indicated lung metastases. Chest tubes with water-sealed drainage were inserted in both side of the lungs. CXR after the insertion showed reduction of the volume of pneumothorax in both side of the lungs and cannon-ball metastases in both sides of the lungs. CXR was performed serially until hospital discharge. Discussion: Bilateral pneumothorax which develops in patients who have history of breast carcinoma is considered very rare.It is caused by the metastatic process and treatment.2 CXR can be used to detect the metastasis and its complications such as pneumothorax.4 Conclusion: Bilateral pneumothorax is rarely seen in patients with breast carcinoma. Early detection of lung metastasis and appropriate therapy of tumor can prevent complications such as pneumothorax. Keywords: bilateral pneumothorax; lung metastases; breast carcinoma; chest X-Ray
