Abstract

Dental caries and periodontal disease are the most common diseases in the oral cavity. Dental caries can occur in everyone regardless of age including adolescents. Maintenance of children's oral health, the role of parents is very important. However, for adolescents who live in boarding schools, of course, their interaction with parents will be reduced, so that all forms of teaching and education are reduced, so this is where the importance of the role of boarding school caregivers in fostering their students not only on the spiritual side but also in terms of maintaining health, given their role as foster parents for their students. This study is an analytical observational study with a cross sectional approach, involving the entire population of 51 people as a sample. Data were collected through guided interviews using a questionnaire. The results of this study showed that Poskestren did not play an active role in maintaining the oral health of students. The conclusion of this study shows that Poskestren plays a less active role in prevention efforts (promotive and preventive) and plays a less role in handling various oral disease problems, especially the incidence of caries (Curative) experienced by students at the Roudhotul Jannah Islamic Boarding School Makassar.

Abstract

  Dental and oral health are important in the lives of every individual, including children, because damaged and untreated teeth and gums will cause pain, chewing disorders and can affect other body health. Knowledge of oral and dental health in children needs special attention because at this age, children are experiencing the process of growth and development, and the condition of their previous teeth will influence the development of dental health in adulthood. One effort to maintain dental health that is quite effective is through oral health education. The aim of this research is to determine the difference in the level of knowledge of toothbrushing patterns before and after counseling using audiovisual media in the form of animated videos among students at SD Inpres Perumnas. The method in this research uses quantitative research, namely pre-experiment with a One-Group Pretest-Posttest Design, with a population of all SD Inpres Perumnas students. Sampling in this study used the Purposive Sampling method with a sample of 42 students who were class IV students at SD Inpres Perumnas. The data collection instrument used was a questionnaire sheet. The data analysis technique used is the Paired Sample T-test. The research results showed that the average value of knowledge had increased, namely before being given counseling, it was 41.19 and after being given counseling, it was 72.85. Significance (p) is 0.000 which means ≤ (0.05), then Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted. So there is a difference in knowledge of toothbrushing patterns between before and after counseling using audiovisual media in the form of animated videos.

Abstract

Dental and oral health is a critical aspect of overall well-being, as untreated dental and gum issues can lead to pain, impaired chewing ability, and potentially disrupt overall health. This is particularly important for school-aged children, who are especially vulnerable to dental health problems. Notably, the prevalence of tooth decay, cavities, and oral diseases is highest among children aged 5-9 years, with an incidence rate of approximately 54.0%. This research aims to compare the effectiveness of scrapbooks and flipcharts as educational media for enhancing dental and oral health knowledge among students at SDN 133 Pewa, Pasui Village, Buntu Batu District, Enrekang.This study employs a quantitative experimental design with a quasi-experimental approach, utilizing a two-group pre-test and post-test format. The sampling technique used was quota sampling, encompassing a total of 30 students—15 assigned to the scrapbook group and 15 to the flipchart group. Data analysis was conducted using the Wilcoxon test and Mann-Whitney test to evaluate the outcomes.The findings indicate a significant improvement in dental and oral health knowledge post-intervention in both groups. The Mann-Whitney test result revealed a p-value of 0.004, indicating a significant difference in effectiveness between the scrapbook and flipchart educational interventions. Both scrapbook and flipchart media were effective in increasing students' knowledge of dental and oral health, with a notable difference in their impact. The study underscores the importance of selecting appropriate educational tools to enhance health knowledge among school-aged children.

Abstract

Dental health education for school children is an effective strategy in preventing the occurrence of dental and oral diseases. Dental health education is a primary preventive measure carried out before a disease occurs. One effort that can be made to increase school children's knowledge and skills in brushing their teeth is by using audio-visual media. This media is not only effective in conveying information directly, but can also be used as an outreach tool that can be disseminated widely. The use of this technology can increase the audience's absorption and understanding, especially children who tend to be more responsive to visual media. The aim of this research was to determine the effect of using educational videos on brushing teeth on the knowledge and skills of Berbt Elementary School students. Muhammadiyah Berua, Makassar City. This type of research is quantitative research with a quasi-experimental approach. The sampling technique used was total sampling in all 6th grade classes at SD Berbt. Muhammadiyah II Berua has 36 students. Research Results Shows that the use of educational videos on brushing teeth significantly increases elementary school students' knowledge about the importance of maintaining oral health and the use of educational videos also significantly increases students' practical skills in brushing teeth.

Abstract

Gigi keropos adalah masalah kesehatan pada gigi yang umum dialami oleh sebagian besar orang. Gigi keropos terjadi ketika enamel gigi terkikis, padahal enamel gigi bahkan lebih kuat daripada tulang. Gigi keropos terjadi akibat terkikisnya enamel di gigi yang disebabkan oleh zat asam. Selain itu, seorang dengan kondisi medis tertentu, seperti mulut kering, penyakit asam lambung, atau orang yang mengonsumsi obat-obatan antihistamin juga berisiko untuk mengalami gigi keropos. Untuk mengatasi masalah gigi keropos, bisa dilakukan dengan mencegah dan menghilangkan gigi keropos. Pencegahan gigi keropos adalah mengurangi jumlah bakteri kariogenik, dan menciptakan keadaan yang kondusif untuk proses remineralisasi. Menghilangkan gigi keropos yang paling umum dilakukan adalah dengan melakukan restorasi atau penambalan. Adapun tujuan kegiatan ini adalah untuk mengedukasi masyarakat terutama tentang pentingnya menjaga kesehatan gigi dan mulut dengan metode ceramah, memberikan edukasi masalah gigi dan mulut, terutama gigi keropos, dan memberikan penanganan masalah gigi keropos pada lansia. Pengabdian masyarakat ini dilaksanakan pada bulan Mei 2024 di Kelurahan Masale, Kecamatan Panakukang Makassar mulai dari penjajakan, perizinan, dan pelaksanaan penyuluhan, edukasi dan penanganan masalah gigi keropos. Kegiatan yang diberikan meliputi penyuluhan tentang gigi keropos, dan penanganan masalah gigi dan mulut termasuk pemeriksaan gigi dan scaling gigi.

Abstract

Value at Risk (VaR) is one of the standard methods that can be used in measuring risk in stock investments. VaR is defined as the maximum possible loss for a particular position or portfolio in the known confidence level of a specific time horizon. The main topic discussed in this thesis is to estimate VaR using the TARCH (Threshold Autoregressive Conditional Heteroscedasticity) model in a time series by considering the effect of long memory. The TARCH model is applied to the daily log return data of a company's stock in Indonesia to estimate the amount of quantile that will be used in calculating VaR. Based on the analysis, it was found that with a significance level of 95% and assuming an investment of 200,000,000 IDR, the VaR using the TARCH model approach was 5,110,200 IDR per day.

Abstract

Watershed management is very important because there is a decrease in the quality of the environment in the watershed. Current problems in watershed management are due to the existence of an egosectoral, not yet integrated and the absence of institutions that specifically and intensely manage watersheds from upstream to downstream well through community empowerment programs and soil and water conservation activities. Forest Management Units as a site-level organization is present as a solution to the problem of watershed management by becoming a watershed manager. The watershed manager functions to coordinate, manage, and manage, together with other stakeholders to achieve watershed management objectives.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh Return On Equity, Debt To Equity Ratio dan Earning Per Share terhadap Harga Saham pada PT Wijaya Karya (Persero) Tbk periode 2013-2023. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode penelitian kuantitatif dengan pendekatan asosiatif yang akan menjelaskan hubungan antara variabel dependen dengan variabel independen dengan analisa data yang digunakan meliputi uji asumsi klasik, uji hipotesis, uji regresi linear sederhana dan berganda. dan koefisien determinasi pada tingkat signifikan 5 %. Variabel yang digunakan adalah Return On Equity (X1), Debt To Equity Ratio (X2) dan Earning Per Share (X3) terhadap Harga Saham (Y). Hasil uji t (parsial) diperoleh Return On Equity tidak berpengaruh signifikan terhadap Harga Saham, Debt To Equity Rasio tidak berpengaruh signifikan terhadap Harga Saham dan Earning Per Share tidak berpengaruh signifikan terhadap Harga Saham. Hasil uji F (simultan) Return On Equity, Debt To Equity Rasio dan Earning Per Share tidak berpengaruh secara simultan terhadap Harga Saham.Hal ini diperkuat dengan hasil uji nilai Fhitung 0,902 < Ftabel 4,347 dengan nilai signifikan sebesar 0,487 > 0.005.

Abstract

This study aims to investigate how two key financial ratios, Return on Assets (ROA) and Return on Equity (ROE), influence the stock price of PT. Bank Mandiri Tbk. The data spans from 2011 to 2020, covering a period of 10 years. A quantitative research method was employed to collect and analyze the data. To ensure the robustness of the findings, several classical assumption tests were conducted. These tests assess the reliability of the regression analysis model and ensure that the underlying assumptions of normality, multicollinearity, heteroscedasticity, and autocorrelation are met. By using SPSS version 26, regression analysis was performed to determine the relationship between ROA, ROE, and the stock price. The results indicate that both ROA and ROE significantly influence the stock price when considered together. This conclusion is based on the F-statistic value of 23.117, which exceeds the critical F-value of 4.74 at a 95% confidence level (? = 5%). This means that the independent variables, ROA and ROE, have a statistically significant collective impact on the stock price of PT. Bank Mandiri Tbk during the period under study. In summary, the study provides evidence that the financial performance indicators (ROA and ROE) are strong predictors of stock price movements, offering valuable insights for investors and stakeholders in evaluating the company's market value.

Abstract

The prevalence of dental and oral diseases in Indonesia is still high, especially at ages 6-12 years. The results of Indonesian Basic Health Research in 2018 showed that the prevalence of dental and oral problems was 57.6% and those who received services from dental medical personnel were 10.2% (Riskesda, 2018), to overcome this, community health center officers have the authority to serve . community in handling dental and oral health problems. This study aims to determine the relationship between visits and education by community health center officers and the oral hygiene of students at SDN 92 Panaikang, Kec. East Sinjai, Sinjai Regency. This research is quantitative research. The sample used was 78 elementary school students in grades 4, 5, 6. Data collection was carried out by directly examining students' dental and oral health and determining their OHI-S scores as well as administering questionnaires regarding students' knowledge regarding dental and oral hygiene issues. Data analysis used Chi-square to see the relationship between visits and education from community health center staff and students' oral hygiene. The research results showed that there was an increase in students' knowledge and OHI-S scores after visits and education by community health center officers. The chi-square test results show that there is a significant relationship between students' level of knowledge and their OHIS scores (P=0.000). It can be concluded that there is a relationship between visits and education by community health center officers and the oral hygiene of students at SDN 92 Panaikang, Kec. East Sinjai Sinjai Regency.
