Abstract

Although learning media have been widely developed in previous studies, research specifically addressing the development of puzzle-based learning media incorporating Kediri local wisdom for comparing types of triangles in elementary schools remains limited. This study aimed to analyse the validity, practicality, and effectiveness of puzzle-based learning media incorporating Kediri local wisdom in improving the learning outcomes of fifth-grade students at SDN Mrican 2 on the topic of comparing types of triangles. This study employed a quantitative approach with a research and development (Research and Development) design using the 4D model, which comprises the define, design, develop, and disseminate stages. The research participants consisted of material expert validators, media experts, a fifth-grade teacher, and fifth-grade students at SDN Mrican 2. Data were collected through interviews, validation questionnaires, teacher and student response questionnaires, and pretest and posttest assessments. The data were analysed using quantitative descriptive analysis techniques and N-Gain calculations. The results showed that the developed media achieved a very high level of validity, with validation percentages of 96% from the material experts and 86% from the media experts. The practicality of the media was also classified as very high, based on a teacher response of 96% and a student response of 92%. The effectiveness of the media based on the N-Gain test reached 57.04% in the limited trial and 66.39% in the large-scale trial, both of which were classified as moderate. These findings indicate that puzzle-based learning media incorporating Kediri local wisdom can improve students’ learning outcomes on the topic of comparing types of triangles. Thus, the developed media were declared valid, practical, and moderately effective for use in elementary school mathematics instruction. This study provides a practical contribution for teachers by providing innovative, contextual, and engaging learning media while strengthening the development of learning media based on local wisdom. Further studies may develop similar media for other mathematics topics or different levels of education.

Abstract

Rendahnya hasil belajar peserta didik pada materi gempa bumi disebabkan oleh kesulitan siswa dalam memahami konsep yang bersifat abstrak serta penggunaan media pembelajaran yang kurang tepat dalam proses pembelajaran IPA di sekolah dasar. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan untuk mengembangkan media pembelajaran GeoShake sebagai alternatif media pembelajaran yang dapat membantu meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa kelas V SDN Ngampel 2 Kota Kediri pada materi gempa bumi. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Research and Development (R&D) dengan model pengembangan 4D yang meliputi tahap define, design, develop, dan disseminate. Subjek penelitian terdiri dari siswa kelas V, ahli materi, ahli media. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi, wawancara, angket, dokumentasi, serta tes hasil belajar berupa pretest dan posttest. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa media GeoShake memperoleh penilaian sangat layak berdasarkan validasi ahli materi dan ahli media. Selain itu, hasil uji coba menunjukkan adanya peningkatan hasil belajar siswa setelah menggunakan media GeoShake, yang ditunjukkan dari perbedaan nilai pretest dan posttest. Dengan demikian, media GeoShake dinyatakan layak, praktis, dan efektif digunakan sebagai media pembelajaran IPA pada materi gempa bumi di sekolah dasar.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya pemahaman siswa pada materi diagram batang akibat penggunaan bahan ajar yang masih konvensional sehingga pembelajaran kurang interaktif dan hasil belajar siswa belum optimal. Pengembangan bahan ajar digital menjadi salah satu solusi untuk mengatasi permasalahan tersebut. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan E-LKPD berbasis Articulate Storyline 3 pada materi diagram batang sekolah dasar serta mengetahui tingkat kevalidan dan keefektifannya. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Research and Development (R&D) dengan model pengembangan ADDIE yang terdiri atas tahap Analyze, Design, Development, Implementation, dan Evaluation. Penelitian dilaksanakan di SDN Mrican 2 Kota Kediri dengan subjek 26 siswa kelas IV, yang terdiri atas 6 siswa pada uji coba terbatas dan 20 siswa pada uji coba luas. Teknik pengumpulan data meliputi observasi, wawancara, angket, dokumentasi, dan tes evaluasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa validasi ahli materi memperoleh rata-rata persentase sebesar 97,5% dengan kategori sangat valid, sedangkan validasi ahli bahan ajar memperoleh rata-rata persentase sebesar 92% dengan kategori sangat valid. Hasil uji keefektifan menunjukkan ketuntasan belajar klasikal sebesar 83,3% pada uji coba terbatas dan 95% pada uji coba luas dengan kategori sangat efektif. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut, E-LKPD berbasis Articulate Storyline 3 pada materi diagram batang dinyatakan valid dan efektif digunakan dalam pembelajaran matematika di sekolah dasar.

Abstract

The dominance of teacher-centered instruction and the limited use of interactive media constitute barriers to improving students’ learning outcomes in abstract Natural and Social Sciences (IPAS) content. This condition was evident among fifth-grade students at SDN Gondang 1, Bojonegoro Regency, only 48.3% of whom achieved learning mastery based on the Learning Objective Achievement Criteria (KKTP) score of 73 for energy sources content. This study aimed to develop the Augmented Reality (AR)-based SYNERGIA Comic and analyze its validity, practicality, and effectiveness in improving fifth-grade students’ learning outcomes in energy sources content. The study employed a research and development method using the 4D model, which comprised the define, design, develop, and disseminate stages, and was conducted at SDN Gondang 1 from February to July 2026. Product validation involved two validators, namely a subject matter expert and a media expert. Product trials were conducted through a limited trial involving 10 students and an extensive trial involving 24 students. Validity and practicality data were collected using a Likert-scale questionnaire consisting of 10 statement items, whereas media effectiveness was analyzed using N-gain scores. The results showed that the media achieved a subject matter validity level of 90% and a media validity level of 88%, both of which were categorized as highly valid. The practicality level reached 98% based on the teacher’s assessment, 94% based on students’ responses in the limited trial, and 97.08% in the extensive trial, all of which were categorized as highly practical. The mean N-gain score reached 0.91 in the limited trial and 0.80 in the extensive trial, both of which were categorized as highly effective, with classical mastery of 100% at both testing stages. Thus, the AR-based SYNERGIA Comic was declared valid, practical, and highly effective as an IPAS learning medium for energy sources content. These findings contribute to the development of technology-based learning in elementary schools and provide teachers with a practical alternative for helping students understand abstract scientific concepts within the context of the Kurikulum Merdeka.

Abstract

The low level of understanding among third-grade students at SDN Lirboyo 2 regarding the meanings of the Pancasila principles was indicated by 73.07% of students who had not achieved the Learning Objective Achievement Criteria (KKTP), accompanied by limited learning media that still consisted of images and simple PowerPoint slides. This study aimed to develop SiPanca (Sila-Sila Pancasila) learning media based on an interactive game and analyze its validity, practicality, and effectiveness for third-grade students at SDN Lirboyo 2. The study employed the Research and Development (R&D) method using the ADDIE model, which comprises the analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation stages. The research participants consisted of one classroom teacher and 26 third-grade students. Data were collected through observation, interviews, questionnaires, and pretest–posttest assessments using expert validation sheets, teacher and student response questionnaires, and test questions as the research instruments. The results showed that the SiPanca media obtained an average validation score of 95% from the subject matter and media experts, placing it in the highly valid category. The practicality of the media based on the teacher’s response reached 90.91%, while the students’ responses in the large-scale trial reached 94.5%, both of which were classified as highly practical. The effectiveness of the media was demonstrated by an increase in the students’ mean score from 50.8 to 88.4 and an increase in classical mastery from 10% to 90%, placing it in the highly effective category. These findings confirm that the SiPanca interactive game-based learning media is valid, practical, and effective as an alternative learning medium for Pancasila Education on the meanings of the Pancasila principles in elementary schools. In practical terms, the SiPanca media can assist teachers in delivering more concrete, interactive, and enjoyable learning and serve as a reference for developing similar media for other Pancasila Education materials.
