Abstract

The hospitality industry plays a pivotal role in driving tourism development and regional economic growth, where trust and service quality are widely recognized as fundamental determinants of customer satisfaction. In the face of intensifying global competition and the proliferation of digital booking platforms, hotels are required to ensure not only adequate physical facilities but also consistent, responsive, and reliable service delivery to sustain guest loyalty. This study aims to examine the effect of trust and service quality on customer satisfaction at Emersia Hotel & Resort Batusangkar. A quantitative research design with a causal-associative approach was employed, involving 110 respondents selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected using a structured questionnaire with constructs of trust, service quality, and customer satisfaction, and analyzed using SPSS version 25 through validity and reliability testing, classical assumption testing, and multiple linear regression analysis. The findings indicate that both trust and service quality have a positive and significant effect on customer satisfaction, with an adjusted R² of 0.510, showing that these two variables jointly explain 51% of the variance in satisfaction. The results highlight that improvements in staff competence, responsiveness, and assurance are critical strategies for strengthening guest trust and ensuring sustained competitiveness. This study contributes to the hospitality management literature by providing empirical insights into the determinants of customer satisfaction in a regional hotel context, while offering practical implications for hotel managers seeking to enhance service excellence and long-term customer loyalty.

Abstract

This study aims to identify internal and external factors influencing the development of the Arunika Wedding Organizer business in Padang City and formulate appropriate strategies through a SWOT analysis approach. The research method was conducted qualitatively, with data collection techniques through in-depth interviews with five informants, consisting of business owners, employees, and vendors who collaborate with Arunika. The data obtained was then analyzed to map the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats faced by the company. The results show that the main strengths of Arunika Wedding Organizer lie in responsive service to client needs, solid team coordination, and good working relationships with supporting vendors. These factors are important capital in maintaining consumer trust. However, the study also found weaknesses such as a limited number of part-time teams that can hinder operational flexibility, and suboptimal digital promotions that limit market reach. From the external side, opportunities that can be utilized include the increasing trend of more personal and simple intimate weddings, and the high demand for one-stop services, where all wedding needs can be accommodated by a single service provider. Meanwhile, the threats faced stem from intense price competition with similar service providers and relatively rapid changes in wedding trends, requiring the company to be constantly adaptive. Based on the SWOT matrix analysis, Arunika Wedding Organizer falls into quadrant IV (hold and maintain). Therefore, the recommended strategy is to maintain existing strengths while addressing existing weaknesses, particularly in human resources and digital promotion.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the identification of issues related to destination image, tourism facilities, and revisit intention. The study employs a quantitative method, specifically a causal associative approach. The data used in this research are primary data. The population consists of individuals who have visited the Pantai Air Bangis tourist destination in Sungai Beremas Subdistrict, West Pasaman Regency. The sample size is 244 respondents, selected through non-probability sampling. Data collection was carried out using questionnaires based on a Likert scale, with validity and reliability tests conducted. The data were analyzed using SPSS versions 20 and 29. The results indicate that the destination image variable falls into the good category based on statistical calculations, with an average TCR score of 70.7. The tourism facilities variable is also categorized as good, with an average TCR score of 68.5. The revisit intention variable is similarly rated as good, with an average score of 72.7. Therefore, the study concludes that there is a positive and significant influence, leading to the acceptance of hypotheses H1, H2, and H3.

Abstract

The research motivation by the phenomena about price, customer satisfaction, product and service quality, and quality at Cafe Pandeka Batusangkar. The research purpose is to investigate the relationship between price, service quality, product quality, and customer satisfaction at Cafe Pandeka Batusangkar. To investigate cause and effect, this kind of research combines a quantitative causal associative approach with a survey method. Customers of Cafe Pandeka Batusangkar make up the population. In this study, 301 respondents were sampled through purposive sampling, a non-probability sampling methodology. The questionnaire used to gather the data is valid and reliable. The study data were processed using SPSS 26.00. Based to the research results, there is no significant correlation from pricing and satisfaction of customer, service quality and satisfaction of customer, and product quality and satisfaction of customer.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of price and facilities on visitor satisfaction at the Bukit Chinangkiak tourist attraction in Solok Regency. This type of research is descriptive quantitative with survey method. The population is all tourists visiting the Bukit Chinangkiak tourist attraction and the total average number of tourists in January-December 2022 was 12,202 visitors and a sample of 387 respondents was determined. Data were collected from questionnaires that had been tested for validity and reliability. Multiple linear regression tests were used to test the research hypothesis with the help of SPSS 26.00, obtaining the results, namely: (1) Price with sufficient category (64.9%), Facilities with good category (65.3%) and Visitor Satisfaction with sufficient category (64.3%). A significant value of 0.000 < 0.05 is given in the estimated F value of 303.587. This shows that X1 and X2 have a large impact on Y simultaneously, so this hypothesis is correct, then the regression coefficient values for X1 and X2 are 0.727 and 0.092 respectively, with a significant level of 0.007 < 0.05. This shows that for every 1 unit increase in price, 0.727 more people will decide to visit, and for every 1 unit increase in facilities, 0.092 more people will decide to come. Then, the Adjust R square value is 0.611 which shows that the X1 and X2 variables have a large influence of 61.1%.

Abstract

This research is motivated by customer complaints about visiting customer satisfaction which is influenced by price and service quality at Gerobak Kopi Payakumbuh. The research purpose was to describe the price and quality of service on satisfaction of customer and to determine the effect of these three variables. The research type used is quantitative with a clausal approach. This research was conducted at Gerobak Kopi Payakumbuh. Sampling for this research was using purposive sampling technique non probability sampling type. The type of data in this study is primary data. This instrument for research uses a questionnaire (questionnaire) which has been arranged according to a Likert scale which has been tested for validity and reliability first. This data was analyzed using the SPSS version 26.00 program. The results of the study, namely Price is included in the good enough category with a respondent achievement level of 47.76%, Service Quality by a respondent achievement level of 46.60% is included in the sufficient category and Customer Satisfaction with a respondent achievement level of 45.76% with a sufficient category. The contribution of Price (X1) and Service Quality (X2) to Satisfaction of Customer is 80.01% while the remaining 19.99% is impacted by another factors.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to significantly analyze the workload of banquet employees at UNP Hotel & Convention. The approach used in this research is descriptive qualitative. Interviews, observations and documentation were used for the data collection process. There were 6 respondents from UNP Hotel & Convention banquet employees. Data triangulation and interview reduction methods were used to analyze the data. The results of this research indicate that the workload of banquet employees is not optimal. It can be seen from the working conditions and the use of working time that have not been fully implemented properly according to the established Standard Operating Procedures. Companies can consider increasing the availability of banquet employees to create good performance.

Abstract

This research purpose is to analyze the effect of Instagram promotion on tourist visiting decisions to Apar Mangrove Park in Pariaman City. This research type is quantitative data survey research with an approach by causal associative. The research sample was taken with technique of Non Probability Sampling from tourists who have visited Apar Mangrove Park in Pariaman City as many as 325 respondents. The research results state that Instagram promotion is in the sufficient category have a percentage of 63.42%, and visiting decisions are in the category in good with a percentage of 70.09%. The hypothesis testing results in the simple linear regression test obtained a Sig value of 0.000 <0.05, then the Instagram promotion variable (X) has a significant effect on the visiting decision variable (Y). The result of the regression coefficient equation is 0.237 with a Sig value of 0.000 <0.05. So every increase in the unit of Instagram promotion will increase 0.237 units of visiting decisions. The R square value of 0.08 means that the Instagram promotion effect on visiting decisions is 8.8%, while the rest is influenced by other factors.

Abstract

This motivation from research is several problems where there are still visitors who have difficulty getting information about Banto Royo, the majority of visitors have difficulty deciding to visit Banto Royo, and visitors are not satisfied after visiting Banto Royo. The research purposes conducted was to reveal the promotion impact on the decision to visit Banto Royo Park, Tilatang District. The research type used in this research is quantitative with a causal associative approach. The data type used is primary data. The research population are tourists who have visited and are currently visiting Banto Royo, Tilatang Kamang sub-district. The sample was 300 tourists using an unintentional screening strategy. The information collection strategy was carried out using a survey with a Likert scale which was tried to investigate speculation. Information from this research was handled using SPSS 26.00. The research results shownthat Promotion is in the sufficient category (75%). Likewise, the Decision to Visit is in the category was sufficient, namely (74%). There is a significant influence by Promotion on Visiting Decisions with an R square value of 0.30, with a significance of 0.000 < 0.05. This have means that there is 0.70 influenced by other factors

Abstract

This study aimed to analyze the effect of online learning quality on vocational students' learning achievement during the Covid-19 pandemic. This type of research uses a quantitative approach with ex post facto research, which aims to analyze exogenous variables (online learning quality) with endogenous variables (vocational students' learning achievement during the Covid-19 pandemic). The population of this study was 198 vocational students in the hotel management program Universitas Negeri Padang who took the front office operations two courses in the semester of January-June 2021. The sampling technique used in this study is total sampling. The number of successfully collected respondents was 174 people (87,9%). The data analysis technique used is simple linear regression analysis. The results showed that: (1) Online learning quality during the Covid-19 pandemic is a sufficient category, (2) Vocational students' learning achievements during the Covid-19 Pandemic are also in a good category, and (3) There is a significant influence on the online learning quality variable on the vocational students' learning Achievement during the Covid-19 Pandemic. The magnitude of the online learning quality variable's influence on the vocational students' learning achievement during the Covid-19 Pandemic is 2.7%, while other factors determine 97.3%. This finding also provides a basis for other researchers to look at and have a wider scope, especially those related to student learning achievement. Vocational programs in universities must design an attractive learning process development program for students while still paying attention to the quality of the learning process. This form of practical implication will encourage students to be more motivated to study well so that their learning achievement can be obtained as expected.
