Abstract

Maraknya tindak kekerasan di sekolah menunjukkan betapa pentingnya menjaga anak-anak tetap aman di kelas. Sekolah harus menciptakan suasana belajar yang ramah, aman, dan nyaman jika ingin berperan sebagai agen pengembangan karakter. Salah satu pendekatan yang dapat dilakukan adalah dengan menerapkan proyek Sekolah Ramah Anak (SRA). Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui bagaimana siswa SMA Muhammadiyah 9 Kota Bekas berkontribusi terhadap penerapan cita-cita sekolah ramah anak. Metode yang digunakan adalah analisis kualitatif dengan pendekatan fenomenologi. Metode pengumpulan data meliputi wawancara mendalam, observasi, dan dokumentasi dengan informan kunci dari siswa dan siswa yang aktif mengikuti program SRA. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa SMA Muhammadiyah 9 Kota Bekasi telah berhasil menerapkan sembilan pilar utama yang mendukung sekolah ramah anak, meliputi: kebijakan pro-anak, lingkungan fisik yang aman dan nyaman, fasilitas ramah anak, ruang terbuka hijau, guru dan staf yang peduli dan terlatih, partisipasi siswa, kurikulum yang menyenangkan dan inklusif, layanan konseling, serta keterlibatan orang tua dan masyarakat. Hasilnya, sekolah tersebut menduduki peringkat 13 sekolah swasta terbaik di Kota Bekasi tahun 2024, prestasi akademik siswanya meningkat, dan banyak lulusannya yang diterima di universitas bergengsi. Penelitian ini sampai pada kesimpulan bahwa keterlibatan siswa secara aktif sangat penting untuk membangun lingkungan sekolah yang ramah anak yang memiliki pengaruh baik pada karakter siswa, kualitas pendidikan, dan reputasi sekolah secara keseluruhan

Abstract

As mixed-method approach has gained renewed interests of researchers, a review toward the use of mixed-method to investigate EFL learners’ motivation will contribute as a help for future researchers. The present paper attempts to provide a systematic review by synthesizing research articles related to EFL learners’ motivation which used mixed-methods as their research approach. After screening 3,092 research articles on the aforementioned topic, 16 research articles were included into a final systematic map for analysis. An in-depth review shows that questionnaires and sequential explanatory approach are mostly used by the researchers to investigate EFL learners’ motivation. Although selected studies were performed in different countries with diverse theoretical backgrounds, the majority of studies were directed toward university students, resulting in lack of studies on younger EFL learners. The implications for future studies are also discussed for the consideration of researchers in the near future.

Abstract

ABSTRACT The purpose of this study was to analyze the methods of human resource development applied at SMAN 1 Setu, and to identify the challenges and opportunities faced in its implementation. The research method used a descriptive qualitative approach. The results of the study showed that human resource development through education and training at SMAN 1 Setu, Bekasi Regency, had a positive impact on improving the quality of teaching and teacher competence. With various methods applied, such as competency-based training, utilization of technology, and collaboration between educators, SMAN 1 Setu succeeded in improving the professional skills of teachers in various aspects. The challenges of limited budget and time are still obstacles that need to be solved. Human resource development in schools will be more optimal if supported by various related parties. Keywords: development, human resources, education, training, teaching staff ABSTRAK Tujuan penelitian ini untuk menganalisis metode-metode pengembangan SDM yang diterapkan di SMAN 1 Setu, serta mengidentifikasi tantangan dan peluang yang dihadapi dalam pelaksanaannya. Metode penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pengembangan SDM melalui pendidikan dan pelatihan di SMAN 1 Setu Kabupaten Bekasi berdampak positif dalam meningkatkan kualitas pengajaran dan kompetensi guru. Dengan berbagai metode yang diterapkan, seperti pelatihan berbasis kompetensi, pemanfaatan teknologi, serta kolaborasi antar tenaga pendidik, SMAN 1 Setu berhasil meningkatkan keterampilan profesional guru dalam berbagai aspek. Tantangan keterbatasan anggaran dan waktu masih menjadi hambatan yang perlu dicari solusinya. Pengembangan SDM di sekolah-sekolah semakin optimal apabila didukung berbagai pihak terkait. Abstract

In the world of education, the realization of effective schools is considered very important to achieve. In the process of realizing effective schools, the principal plays a significant role in making it happen. Thus, strategies in the process of school realization are expected to produce breakthroughs that can benefit many people. This research uses the interview method to examine the actions taken by principals in realizing effective schools. The results of this study show that the role of the principal is crucial in developing strategies to realize effective schools, which can make the learning process increasingly optimal.

Abstract

This research aims to provide a description of several problems that occur in schools which become a description of the strategies carried out by a school principal in implementing inclusive teaching and learning activities in schools. Specifically, this research aims to determine (a.) The role of the principal in creating an inclusive culture in the school that supports all human resources in the school. (b.) Several things and strategies that must be done by a school principal in managing a conflict, and also knowing what characteristics a school principal must have in order to achieve these goals. The research method used by the author in this research uses a descriptive qualitative research method with data collection techniques using literature studies sourced from interviews, books, journals, documents and also valid websites. The results of this research show that in order to become a school principal who is able to implement inclusive teaching and learning activities in a school, you must have several strategies that can be implemented jointly by both teachers and students.

Abstract

The Impact of Exploratory Practice: A Mixed-Methods Study on Writing Motivation and Performance among EFL Undergraduates. Investigating the effects of Exploratory Practice (EP) on English as a Foreign Language (EFL) learners’ motivation and writing skills can provide new insights into improving writing classes. Objective: The objective of the present study is to investigate the impacts of EP on a group of EFL college students’ writing motivation and writing skills. Methods: This study employed a quasi-experimental research design, implementing reflective discussions and collaborative inquiry through EP. To understand improvements in students’ motivation, questionnaires and semi-structured interviews were administered to 23 participants. Findings: The quantitative results showed some improvements in students’ self-efficacy, extrinsic motivation, and writing scores. However, intrinsic motivation and efforts to complete writing tasks did not show statistically significant changes. To better understand these nonsignificant results, qualitative data were used to explore students’ experiences during the EP process. Participants reported increased confidence, reduced anxiety, and greater ability to organize ideas through peer discussions and reflective activities. They also described a more meaningful, less mechanical writing process, which may indicate early signs of motivational internalization, even if not reflected quantitatively. Conclusion: The outcomes imply that EP can be a feasible approach to enhance students’ motivation and writing skills in an EFL context. Despite the apparent success of EP in this study, its successful implementation in writing classrooms depends on students’ involvement in the learning and teaching process and teachers’ continuous support. Keywords: exploratory practice, writing motivation, EFL learners, reflective learning, writing performance.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji secara komprehensif pengembangan sumber daya manusia (SDM) pendidikan berbasis organisasi pelajar dalam merespons tantangan pendidikan di era kontemporer yang ditandai oleh globalisasi, digitalisasi, dan tuntutan kompetensi abad ke-21. Fokus kajian diarahkan pada peran organisasi pelajar sebagai wahana pembelajaran non-formal yang berkontribusi terhadap pengembangan kepemimpinan, soft skills, serta pembentukan karakter peserta didik. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan metode studi literatur. Data dikumpulkan melalui penelusuran artikel jurnal nasional terakreditasi (SINTA), jurnal internasional bereputasi (Scopus), serta buku dan laporan akademik yang relevan dan diterbitkan dalam lima tahun terakhir. Teknik analisis data dilakukan menggunakan analisis tematik melalui tahapan reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan untuk memperoleh pemahaman yang mendalam dan sistematis. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa organisasi pelajar memiliki potensi strategis sebagai instrumen pengembangan SDM pendidikan apabila dikelola secara terarah berdasarkan prinsip partisipatif, pemberdayaan, keberlanjutan, dan kontekstual. Namun demikian, efektivitas peran organisasi pelajar sangat bergantung pada dukungan pembinaan yang sistematis, integrasi dengan tujuan pendidikan sekolah, serta kesinambungan program kaderisasi. Temuan ini menegaskan pentingnya sinergi antara sekolah, pembina organisasi, dan peserta didik dalam mengoptimalkan peran organisasi pelajar sebagai bagian integral dari strategi pengembangan SDM pendidikan yang berkelanjutan.

Abstract

Continuing professional development for teachers is currently experiencing a paradigm shift from traditional models to more personalized and collaborative learning. This study aims to systematically synthesize international literature on the reconceptualization of teacher education and training (CPD) over the past ten years. Using a systematic literature review (SLR) method strictly guided by the PRISMA framework, researchers analyzed 20 high-quality articles from the Scopus database for the period 2015-2025. The analysis results show a fluctuating but increasing trend in publication growth, dominated by the social sciences (56.3%) and primarily focused on the digital transformation of post-pandemic education. Quantitative data revealed that technology integration was the most influential theme, with the most cited articles reaching 47 times. Methodologically, quantitative approaches dominated up to 60% of all reviewed studies. The findings identified that practice-based models, professional learning communities (PLCs), and mentoring have proven effective in improving pedagogical competence. However, the sustainability of CPD is strongly influenced by the interaction of individual intrinsic motivation, school leadership support, and the availability of adequate supporting infrastructure. The main conclusion emphasizes the need to reconceptualize training design from an episodic-technocratic approach to an adaptive, contextual, and long-term professional learning ecosystem. This systemic strategy is crucial for bridging national policy reforms with real-world classroom practice, ensuring that teacher professional development significantly impacts the quality of student learning.ABSTRAK Pengembangan profesional berkelanjutan bagi guru saat ini mengalami pergeseran paradigma dari model tradisional ke arah pembelajaran yang lebih personal dan kolaboratif. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mensintesis secara sistematis literatur internasional mengenai rekonseptualisasi pendidikan dan pelatihan guru (CPD) dalam sepuluh tahun terakhir. Dengan menerapkan metode systematic literature review (SLR) yang dipandu secara ketat oleh kerangka kerja PRISMA, peneliti menganalisis 20 artikel berkualitas tinggi dari basis data Scopus periode 2015-2025. Hasil analisis menunjukkan tren pertumbuhan publikasi yang fluktuatif namun cenderung meningkat, didominasi oleh bidang ilmu sosial (56,3%) dan fokus utama pada transformasi digital pendidikan pascapandemi. Data kuantitatif mengungkapkan bahwa tema integrasi teknologi merupakan yang paling berpengaruh, dengan artikel tersitasi tertinggi mencapai 47 kali. Secara metodologis, pendekatan kuantitatif mendominasi hingga 60% dari keseluruhan studi yang diulas. Temuan mengidentifikasi bahwa model berbasis praktik, komunitas belajar profesional (PLC), serta mentoring terbukti efektif meningkatkan kompetensi pedagogik. Namun, keberlanjutan CPD sangat dipengaruhi oleh interaksi motivasi intrinsik individu, dukungan kepemimpinan sekolah, dan ketersediaan infrastruktur pendukung yang memadai. Simpulan utama menegaskan perlunya rekonseptualisasi desain diklat dari yang bersifat episodik-teknokratis menuju ekosistem pembelajaran profesional yang adaptif, kontekstual, dan berorientasi jangka panjang. Strategi sistemik ini sangat krusial untuk menjembatani reformasi kebijakan nasional dengan praktik nyata di dalam kelas guna memastikan pengembangan profesional guru berdampak signifikan pada kualitas belajar peserta didik.
