Abstract

In the world of education, the realization of effective schools is considered very important to achieve. In the process of realizing effective schools, the principal plays a significant role in making it happen. Thus, strategies in the process of school realization are expected to produce breakthroughs that can benefit many people. This research uses the interview method to examine the actions taken by principals in realizing effective schools. The results of this study show that the role of the principal is crucial in developing strategies to realize effective schools, which can make the learning process increasingly optimal.

Abstract

Human resource development (HRD) in the education sector plays a crucial role in improving the quality of education in Indonesia. This study aims to explore the role of human resource development in enhancing the quality of education at an educational institution. The scope of the research includes training and development programs conducted at the institution, as well as their impact on the performance of teaching staff and the quality of teaching. The method used is a qualitative approach, where data is obtained through in-depth interviews and observations with several managers and teaching staff. The results of the study show that systematic human resource development programs, including training and teaching skill improvement, can enhance the quality of teaching and student satisfaction. Furthermore, improving human resource quality also contributes to the development of programs more aligned with the needs of the times. The conclusion of this research indicates that sustainable human resource development plays a key role in creating better quality education that meets the demands of modern society.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini untuk menganalisis penerapan metode pengembangan sumber daya manusia dalam meningkatkan kompetensi guru. Lokasi penelitian pada salah satu sekolah di Kabupaten Bekasi yang sudah menerapkan metode pengembangan SDM melalui sistem magang, rotasi kerja, dan studi banding. Metode penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pengembangan SDM di sekolah bertujuan meningkatkan kompetensi guru untuk mengembangkan tanggung jawab yang lebih tinggi di masa yang akan datang. Pelaksanaan pengembangan SDM harus mempunyai tujuan dan sasaran yang tepat, menggunakan metode yang sesuai dengan kebutuhan sekolah, terstruktur dan terencana. Strategi dan metode magang, rotasi kerja, dan studi banding mampu meningkatkan kemampuan, pengetahuan, keterampilan, dan sikap guru.  Guru mendapat kesempatan untuk mengembangkan dan meningkatkan kompetensi yang relevan dengan pekerjaannya.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the planning, implementation, and constraints of the Tahfidz Quran House (RTQ) Financing and Development Program in Musi Rawas Regency, which will be carried out from 2023 to 2024. A qualitative approach was used by collecting data through in-depth interviews with the Secretary of the RTQ Coordination Team, direct observation of several fostered RTQs, and interviews with Tahfidz teachers. The results of the study show that this program aims to improve the quality of human resources through memorization and practice of the Quran, with the target of establishing 200 RTQs evenly in all sub-districts. The implementation of the program includes a strict selection of Tahfidz teachers, adequate learning facilities, and regular incentives for teaching staff. The obstacles faced include the heterogeneity of participants' abilities, communication gaps due to language differences, and uneven distribution of RTQs. However, strategic measures such as a differentiated approach to learning, the use of Indonesian, and results-based management have successfully overcome most of these challenges. This program has a positive impact by creating free Al-Quran education opportunities, increasing community motivation to send children to RTQ, and strengthening religious identity in Musi Rawas Regency. However, capacity building for Tahfidz teachers through training is considered important to face future challenges. Continuous evaluation and support from various parties are needed to maintain the quality and sustainability of the program.

Abstract

The world of education is increasingly developing with various innovations, but standardization is needed to assess the degree of educational quality of an educational institution. By introducing ISO (International Organization for Standardization) quality management, you can maintain the quality of your educational institution. The aim of this research is to analyze faculty performance in implementing ISO 9001:2015 quality management. This research use desciptive qualitative approach. The research location is one of the schools in Jakarta that has obtained the ISO 9001:2015 quality management certificate. Based on the survey results, ISO 9001:2015 certified madrasas evaluate faculty performance through internal and external placement test processes and improve competency and performance through quality management training and workshops based on ISO 9001:2015. This is done to consistently meet customer needs. Abstrak Dunia pendidikan semakin berkembang dengan berbagai inovasi, namun tetap harus ada standarisasi untuk menilai sejauh mana mutu pendidikan sebuah lembaga. Dengan penerapan manajemen mutu ISO (International Standardization Organization) dapat menjaga mutu lembaga pendidikan. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk menganalisis kinerja tenaga pendidik dan kependidikan dalam menerapkan manajemen mutu ISO 9001:2015. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif. Lokasi penelitian pada salah satu sekolah di Jakarta yang sudah mendapatkan sertifikat manajemen mutu ISO 9001:2015. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan Madrasah penerima sertifikat ISO 9001:2015 telah melaksanakan evaluasi terhadap kinerja tenaga pendidik dan kependidikan melalui proses placement test internal dan eksternal, peningkatan kompetensi dan kinerja melalui pelatihan dan workshop manajemen mutu berbasis ISO 9001:2015. Hal ini dilakukan untuk memenuhi kebutuhan pelanggan secara konsisten.

Abstract

This tudy aims to eplore the strategies of school principals in building strong interpersonal relationships between teachers and parents to shape children’s character. Through a qualitive approach involving in-depth interviews, observations, and document analysis, it was found that effective school principals integrate open communication, collaboration, and parental involvement in school activities. The result indicate that these strategies positively influence student character formation, enhance parental involvement, and strengthen interpersonal relationships in the school environment. In conclusion, it discusses the strategies implemented by school principals to strengthen the relationship between teachers and parents, as well as their positive impact on children's education in shaping student character. Abstrak Studi ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi strategi kepemimpinan kepala sekolah dalam membangun hubungan interpersonal yang kuat antara guru dan orang tua guna membentuk karakter anak. Melalui pendekatan kualitatif dengan wawancara mendalam, observasi, dan analisis dokumen, ditemukan bahwa kepala sekolah yang efektif memadukan komunikasi terbuka, kolaborasi, dan keterlibatan orang tua dalam kegiatan sekolah. Hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa strategi ini secara positif memengaruhi pembentukan karakter siswa, meningkatkan keterlibatan orang tua, dan memperkuat hubungan interpersonal di lingkungan sekolah. kesimpulannya Ini membahas strategi yang diterapkan oleh kepala sekolah untuk memperkuat hubungan antara guru dan orang tua, serta dampak positifnya terhadap pendidikan anak dalam pembentukan karakter siswa.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the principal's leadership strategies in improving teachers' qualifications, competencies, performance, and discipline. The research was conducted at SMAN 1 and SMAN 2 in Setu, Bekasi. Data were obtained through interviews with data analysis including data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing/ verification. The results showed that the EMASLIM-FM strategy is effectively used by principals to improve teachers' qualifications, competencies, performance, and discipline. The strategy involves a systematic and planned approach, which focuses on continuous development and improving the quality of education in schools. In conclusion, the EMASLIM-FM strategy proved to be a successful approach to teachers' professional development in the schools studied, positively impacting their performance and discipline. The findings can serve as a reference for other school principals in implementing similar strategies to achieve better results in education quality. Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis strategi kepemimpinan kepala sekolah dalam meningkatkan kualifikasi, kompetensi, kinerja, dan disiplin guru. Penelitian dilakukan di SMAN 1 dan SMAN 2 di wilayah Setu, Bekasi. Data diperoleh melalui wawancara dengan analisis data meliputi reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan/ verifikasi kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa strategi EMASLIM-FM efektif digunakan oleh kepala sekolah untuk meningkatkan kualifikasi, kompetensi, kinerja, dan disiplin guru. Strategi ini melibatkan pendekatan yang sistematis dan terencana, yang berfokus pada pengembangan berkelanjutan dan peningkatan kualitas pendidikan di sekolah. Kesimpulannya, strategi EMASLIM-FM terbukti sebagai pendekatan yang berhasil dalam pengembangan profesional guru di sekolah yang diteliti, memberikan dampak positif terhadap kinerja dan disiplin mereka. Temuan ini dapat menjadi acuan bagi kepala sekolah lain dalam menerapkan strategi serupa untuk mencapai hasil yang lebih baik dalam kualitas pendidikan.

Abstract

The quality of education is one of the most important goals of schools. Achieving high-quality education requires various supporting factors, including leadership style, organizational culture, and facilities and infrastructure. This study aims to analyze the influence of leadership style, organizational culture, and facilities and infrastructure on the quality of education at SDIT Al-Manar, Bekasi City. A qualitative research method with a pedagogical approach was used in this study. The primary data source comes from interviews with the principal and teachers at SDIT Al-Manar, Bekasi City. Meanwhile, secondary data were obtained from documents supporting the research results. The tool used to collect data was in-depth interviews. Observation and documentation were conducted by selecting data as a source of information, analyzing data, interpreting data, and drawing conclusions.The results of the study show that leadership style, organizational culture, and facilities and infrastructure have a positive and significant impact on the quality of education at SDIT Al-Manar, Bekasi City. Democratic and transformative governance can motivate teachers and staff to improve their performance, thereby positively affecting the quality of education. A collaborative and supportive culture can create a better learning environment for students, thus enhancing student learning. Adequate and well-maintained infrastructure can support an effective learning process, thereby improving the quality of education. Based on the research results, it is concluded that leadership style, organizational culture, and facilities and infrastructure are important factors that can influence the quality of education at SDIT Al-Manar, Bekasi City. Therefore, efforts should be made to improve the quality of leadership, organizational culture, and facilities and infrastructure at the school. Abstrak Mutu pendidikan merupakan salah satu tujuan sekolah yang paling penting. Untuk mencapai pendidikan yang bermutu diperlukan berbagai faktor pendukung antara lain gaya kepemimpinan, budaya organisasi dan sarana prasarana. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh gaya kepemimpinan, budaya organisasi dan sarana prasarana terhadap mutu pendidikan di SDIT Al-Manar Kota Bekasi. Metode penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan pedagogi digunakan dalam penelitian ini. Sumber data yaitu data primer berasal dari wawancara dengan kepala sekolah dan guru di SDIT Al-Manar Kota Bekasi. Sedangkan data sekunder diperoleh dari dokumen pendukung hasil penelitian. Alat yang digunakan untuk mengumpulkan data adalah wawancara mendalam. Observasi dan dokumentasi dilakukan dengan cara memilih data sebagai sumber informasi, menganalisis data, menafsirkan data, dan menarik kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa gaya kepemimpinan, budaya organisasi dan sarana prasarana berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap mutu pendidikan di SDIT Al-Manar Kota Bekasi. Tata kelola yang demokratis dan transformatif dapat memotivasi guru dan staf untuk meningkatkan kinerja mereka sehingga berdampak positif pada kualitas pendidikan. Budaya kolaboratif dan suportif dapat menciptakan lingkungan belajar yang lebih baik bagi siswa dan dengan demikian meningkatkan pembelajaran siswa. Infrastruktur yang memadai dan terawat dapat mendukung proses pembelajaran yang efektif sehingga dapat meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian disimpulkan bahwa gaya kepemimpinan, budaya organisasi dan sarana prasarana merupakan faktor penting yang dapat mempengaruhi mutu pendidikan di SDIT Al-Manar Kota Bekasi. Untuk itu perlu dilakukan kajian untuk meningkatkan kualitas kepemimpinan, budaya kepemimpinan dan sarana prasarana di sekolah

Abstract

Abstract. Investigating women's language features in novels offers insights into their portrayal in fiction. The purpose of this study is to investigate language features by the female main character in the novel The Poppy War by R.F Kuang. This study used Lakoff’s (1975) theory to analyze the dialogues used by the main character. This study applied a descriptive qualitative research design to collect and analyze data. The results of this study suggest that the main character mainly used hedges, tag question, rising intonation, intensifier, hypercorrect grammar, super-polite forms, avoidance of strong swear words, and emphatic stress as the language features. However, the results indicate the lack of use precise color terms and empty adjectives in the dialogues used by the main character of R.F Kuang’s The Poppy War. This study concludes that the dominant use of hedges and fillers suggests the main female character often mitigates her statements, reflecting uncertainty. In contrast, the lack of use of empty adjectives and precise color terms indicate that the female main character tends to focus on actions or strategies instead of showing emotional descriptions or visual details in their language features. The findings of this study indicate the perceptions of modern people to women from ancient era, adding to the insights to language features used by women. These findings can be valuable for both teachers and researchers who analyze the women’s language features in fiction.Keywords: Women Language Features, Fiction, Sociolinguistics

Abstract

This study examines the teachers’ strategies to integrated Tawheed in teaching at Al-Amin Islamic Secondary School, Selangor. The purpose of this study is to explore the teachers’ perception of integrating Tawheed in teaching and to examine the strategies that have been practiced by teachers to integrated Tawheed in teaching. The teachers were purposively selected based on their experiences in teaching. This research employed a qualitative design by using the case study. The methodological triangulation was used for collecting the data, and the data was collected from oral interviews and classroom observations. A total of 5 teachers from Al-Amin Islamic Secondary School were selected to be interviewed and observed in the classroom. The data was analyzed using thematic analysis. The data from the interviews and observations were transcribed and the keywords were identified. Then, to start analysing the data, the researchers identified the theme and generated the sub-themes for further exploration. The findings showed that teachers’ perceptions in integrating tawheed in teaching were important to increase faith in Allah. Also, the researchers foundtwo strategies which were implemented by the teachers to integratetawheed in teaching namely teaching approaches and teaching methods. In teaching approaches, the teachers used both deductive and inductive approach. Besides, in teaching methods, the teachers applied story-telling, demonstrations and group discussion forintegrating tawheedto the students.
