Abstract

Human resource management in the hospitality industry requires an objective and efficient employee performance evaluation. This study aims to design and implement a web-based Decision Support System (DSS) for evaluating the performance of Madani Hotel employees using the Weighted Aggregated Sum Product Assessment (WASPAS) method. Employee performance data (10 samples) were collected through observation and supervisor assessments based on nine criteria: Accuracy of Doing Job, Job Knowledge, Potential to Learn to Other Section, Initiative/Motivation, Hard Working, Able to Communicate with Others, Discipline, Productivity/Efficiency, and Responsibility. The weights of the criteria were determined based on their relevance to the job and were then normalized. The WASPAS calculation process was carried out in the CodeIgniter 4 backend, producing a Q score for each employee. The results showed a high correlation (Spearman’s rho = 0.88) between the system ranking and manual ranking, with A.P. ranked highest and E.W. ranked lowest. The implementation of this DSS reduces subjectivity and accelerates the performance evaluation process. The developed system also provides an automated reporting module and a responsive interface based on Bootstrap SAdmin2.

Abstract

Penelitian ini mengembangkan sebuah Sistem Pendukung Keputusan (SPK) untuk pemilihan pupuk pada tanaman padi di Desa Padang Cermin, Kabupaten Langkat, dengan memadukan metode Entropy dan ARAS. Metode Entropy digunakan untuk menghitung bobot kriteria kandungan nitrogen (N), fosfor (P), kalium (K), harga, dan dosis berdasarkan variasi data. Selanjutnya, metode ARAS melakukan perankingan alternatif pupuk dengan membandingkan skor setiap alternatif terhadap alternatif ideal. Sistem diimplementasikan menggunakan bahasa pemrograman Python dan framework Flask, dilengkapi antarmuka web yang memudahkan pengguna memasukkan data kriteria dan alternatif, menampilkan bobot, serta mengeksekusi perhitungan secara real time. Hasil perhitungan menunjukkan bahwa pupuk NPK Mutiara memperoleh skor tertinggi, yakni 0,1354, sehingga direkomendasikan sebagai pilihan terbaik untuk meningkatkan produktivitas padi di lokasi studi. SPK ini diharapkan membantu petani dan penyuluh dalam membuat keputusan pemupukan yang lebih objektif dan efisien.

Abstract

Unpredictable weather changes in Medan City often cause significant impacts across various sectors such as transportation, health, and the economy. One of the most frequent consequences is flooding due to high and poorly predicted rainfall. Therefore, this study aims to develop a weather prediction model by combining Linear Regression and Fuzzy Logic methods to improve the accuracy of weather parameter predictions, such as temperature, humidity, and rainfall measured in oktas. Linear Regression is used to model the statistical relationships between weather variables based on historical data, while Fuzzy Logic is applied to handle the uncertainty in weather patterns that are often nonlinear and unpredictable. This study utilizes historical weather data obtained from the worldweatheronline.com website for the Medan City area. The data goes through several processing stages, including preprocessing to clean and normalize the data, modeling using Linear Regression to identify major trends in the dataset, and applying Fuzzy Logic to accommodate uncertainties in predictions. The developed model is then tested and validated to evaluate its performance compared to other conventional prediction methods. The model implementation is carried out using GNU Octave, which allows efficient numerical analysis and data modeling. The results show that the combination of Linear Regression and Fuzzy Logic improves the accuracy of weather predictions compared to using a single method. This model provides more stable and reliable prediction results, especially in handling extreme weather conditions that frequently occur in Medan City. With a more accurate prediction model, it is expected to assist the community, government, and policymakers in disaster mitigation, infrastructure planning, and strategic decision-making in facing dynamic weather changes

Abstract

Human resources are very important in achieving the vision and mission of the company called employees. Currently PT. Dambosko Bronton does not yet have a selection program for outstanding employees so that the lack of employee work motivation, the unavailability of computerized methods and systems that support the selection of outstanding employees are still obstacles so that they are considered less effective. Web-based systems that use AHP should be designed to address these issues, so that systems are built more effectively and speed up the process of selecting outstanding employees. Decision retrieval uses the AHP method because this method uses human perception as the main input. This research aims to facilitate HRD in making the right decisions and accelerate the decision-making process. Keywords: Decision support system, AHP method, Selection of outstanding employees.

Abstract

Penyakit paru–paru merupakan penyakit yang berbahaya bagi manusia dan berdampak serius bagi kesehatan apabila tidak ditangani dengan segera. Dilihat dari hasil laporan prevalensi penyakit paru-paru 3 tahun terakhir, bahwasannya penyakit paru–paru menjadi masalah yang serius sehingga perlu adanya pengobatan dan penanganan yang tepat untuk mengatasi permasalahan pada penyakit paru–paru. Terbatasnya dokter paru-paru, jam praktek dokter yang terbatas, biaya konsultasi yang mahal serta pelayanan di rumah sakit yang kurang efektif membuat masyarakat mengalami kendala apabila ingin berkonsultasi kepada dokter spesialis secara langsung. Dengan kemajuan teknologi yang canggih, untuk menyelesaikan permasalahan tersebut dibangunlah suatu sistem pakar dengan harapan dapat membantu masyarakat yang ingin berkonsultasi tanpa harus bertemu dokter spesialis secara langsung. Dalam mengidentifikasi penyakit paru-paru, sistem pakar yang dibangun ini menggunakan metode Certainty Factor dengan menginput data gejala dan nilai CF yang dialami. Hasil dari penelitian ini yaitu aplikasi sistem pakar yang dapat mengidentifikasi penyakit paru-paru. Sehingga dengan adanya sistem pakar ini dapat mempermudah pasien untuk mengetahui jenis penyakit yang dialami.

Abstract

The Village Fund Direct Cash Assistance (BLT-DD) program is one of the government's efforts to help poor families in the village. However, the recipient selection process is still done manually through deliberations of village officials, making it prone to mistargeting and lack of transparency. This research aims to build a Decision Support System (SPK) that is able to determine prospective BLT-DD recipients objectively and efficiently. The method used is the Preference Selection Index (PSI), which can solve multicriteria decision-making problems without the need to assign weights between criteria. The five main criteria used include welfare decile, health status, program participation, marital status, and gender of the family head. Testing was conducted on 10 alternative data. The calculation results show that alternative A3 has the highest score of 1.66. This system is able to improve accuracy, efficiency, and transparency in BLT-DD distribution.

Abstract

There are several stages in choosing a state university, one of which is through the Joint Selection for State University Admission. To prepare for this, many SNBT candidates attend Learning Guidance Institutions. Learning guidance is a service or educational program designed to help students understand the subject matter taught in school. Its main goal is to improve students' academic abilities through various methods. This research aims to develop a Decision Support System (DSS) using the Weighted Product (WP) method to help choose the most appropriate Tutoring Institution. The system is designed to help parents and prospective students make decisions that suit their needs, taking into account factors such as teaching quality, facilities, and costs. With this DSS, it is hoped that the process of selecting Tutoring Institutions can be carried out more efficiently and accurately so that prospective participants can prepare themselves better to face SNBT. Based on the completed case study, the highest preference value is obtained by Adzkia (A4) with a value of 0.231, while the lowest preference value is Ganesha Operation (A1) with a value of 0.168. The results from the DSS built, and the manual calculations, show the same values.

Abstract

Proses pemesanan dan pembayaran pada kantin konvensional sering menimbulkan antrean panjang, kesalahan pencatatan, serta keterlambatan pelayanan karena masih dilakukan secara manual. Untuk mengatasi masalah tersebut, penelitian ini mengembangkan SmartCanteen, yaitu sistem pemesanan dan pembayaran kantin berbasis website yang memungkinkan pelanggan memesan menu dan melakukan pembayaran secara online tanpa perlu mengantre. Sistem dibangun menggunakan metode Waterfall, dengan pengembangan berbasis native PHP, MySQL, dan XAMPP, serta antarmuka HTML, CSS, dan JavaScript. Hasil implementasi menunjukkan bahwa sistem mampu mempercepat proses transaksi, mengurangi antrean fisik, dan membantu admin dalam mengelola menu serta riwayat pesanan secara terpusat. Integrasi pembayaran digital QRIS mendukung transaksi non-tunai yang lebih cepat dan aman. Hasil pengujian langsung menyatakan seluruh fungsi berjalan sesuai kebutuhan dan siap diterapkan pada lingkungan kantin kampus.

Abstract

Procedural inefficiency is a major challenge in administering laboratory equipment loans in academic environments, where paper-based processes are prone to recording errors and inventory data discrepancies. This condition directly impacts low asset accountability and the inability to monitor equipment availability status in real-time. This research focuses on the design and implementation of a website-based Laboratory Equipment Loan Information System (SIPINLAB) to provide an efficient, centralized, and accountable digital solution. The system development methodology uses the Waterfall Model approach, which is executed sequentially through the stages of requirements analysis, design, implementation, and testing. The technical implementation of SIPINLAB utilizes the PHP Native programming language and the MySQL database management system. The main findings of this study were confirmed through validation of the system's functionality using Black Box Testing in five main scenarios. The test results showed a 100% functional success rate, confirming that the system operates fully according to design specifications. This success validates the performance of SIPINLAB's crucial features, including the integration of automatic penalty calculations based on late returns and a real-time stock control mechanism that ensures data consistency. Overall, SIPINLAB successfully met its research objectives by transforming the manual loan process into a computerized one. This system's contribution minimizes the potential for human error and significantly improves laboratory asset management accountability through centralized, accurate, and valid transaction data.

Abstract

The distribution of social assistance in rural areas is a strategic government effort to reduce social inequality and improve the welfare of underprivileged communities. However, in Petuaran Hilir Village, the process of determining aid recipients is still conducted manually, leading to various issues such as a lack of objectivity, potential unfairness, and mistargeting. Therefore, this study aims to design and implement a Decision Support System (DSS) using the Simple Multi-Attribute Rating Technique (SMART) method to determine social assistance recipients in a more systematic and transparent manner. The SMART method was chosen due to its effectiveness in simplifying multi-criteria decision-making and its practicality for implementation at the village level. The system was developed as a web-based application and tested using the black-box method, as well as validated against the manual selection results conducted by village officials. Testing results showed that the system can objectively identify and rank aid recipients based on final scores from five main criteria: income, number of dependents, home ownership status, housing condition, and type of employment. The system achieved 100% consistency with manual selection results and reduced the selection process time by up to 70%, enabling a fairer and more targeted distribution of aid based on systematically calculated scores. By eliminating manual bias in the selection process, the system significantly improves the accuracy of recipient rankings. This study also opens opportunities for further development, such as integrating real-time population data and advanced analytical features to support more responsive social policies.
