Abstract

Gesik Village, Tengahtani District, Cirebon Regency, is renowned for its productivity due to the presence of numerous industries and micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs), with its flagship product being 'kerupuk melarat' (a type of traditional Indonesian crackers). This 'kerupuk melarat' home industry plays a pivotal role in absorbing labor through job creation, thereby reducing the existing unemployment rate, particularly within Gesik Village itself, by recruiting workers from the local community. The aim of this research is to analyze the influence of wages, capital, and production value on labor absorption in the 'kerupuk melarat' home industry in Cirebon, specifically in Gesik Village, Tengahtani District, Cirebon Regency. This research employs a quantitative method using a saturated sampling technique. There were 32 respondents, owners of 'kerupuk melarat' home industries in Gesik Village, who were the subjects of this study. The results of this research indicate that the wage variable does not significantly influence labor absorption partially, while the capital and production value variables partially significantly influence labor absorption. Furthermore, simultaneously, the wage, capital, and production value variables significantly influence labor absorption.

Abstract

Abstract Digital transformation in the financial sector has become a major catalyst for changing the paradigm of global financial services. Yet, the gap in financial access between urban and rural communities remains a significant structural barrier to inclusive economic development. This research aims to analyze the role of financial technology in enhancing access to financial services, identify the benefits of implementation for rural economic development, analyze adoption challenges, and formulate effective development strategies for rural communities. The research uses a qualitative approach with the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method following the PRISMA protocol, analyzing 10 high-quality journals from 309 initially identified articles through the Google Scholar, SINTA, and Scopus databases for the period 2021-2025. Fintech has proven effective in reducing poverty by up to 20% in low-income provinces, with an impact twice as strong as in wealthy regions, but it faces challenges in infrastructure, digital literacy, and regulation. The implementation of comprehensive strategies, including the development of technological infrastructure, sustainable literacy programs, multi-stakeholder strategic partnerships, and adaptive regulatory frameworks, is necessary to create a sustainable and inclusive fintech ecosystem

Abstract

Eggshell waste in Karangampel Village, Indramayu, has not been optimally utilized and has the potential to cause environmental problems. In fact, eggshells are rich in calcium carbonate (CaCO₃), which is very useful as organic fertilizer. This community service activity aims to increase the knowledge and skills of PKK cadres in processing eggshell waste into environmentally friendly and useful organic fertilizer. The activity was carried out in three stages: (1) Preparation and identification of initial needs; (2) Socialization and practical training on how to make fertilizer; and (3) Qualitative evaluation through structured group discussions. This activity was attended by 20 PKK members from Karangampel Village. The results of the activity showed an increase in understanding and enthusiasm among the participants. Participants not only understood the theory but also successfully practiced fertilizer production and began applying it to vegetable plants at home. Soil pH test results also showed an increase from 7.4 to 7.5 after applying the fertilizer, indicating an improvement in soil quality. This activity successfully transformed waste into a useful product, reduced environmental pollution, and opened up creative economic potential for the community through organic fertilizer products.

Abstract

Entrepreneurial behavior plays a crucial role in enhancing organizational sustainability, particularly in small-scale agro-industrial sectors where employee loyalty remains a key challenge. This study aims to examine the effect of entrepreneurial behavior on employee loyalty, with the work environment as a mediating variable in rice milling enterprises. A quantitative approach was employed using a census sampling technique involving 68 employees from three rice mills in Cirebon (PB. AP, PB. Matahari, and PB. NO). Data were collected through structured Likert-scale questionnaires and analyzed using SPSS, including validity and reliability tests, classical assumption testing, multiple linear regression, and the Sobel test for mediation analysis. The results reveal that entrepreneurial behavior has a positive and statistically significant direct effect on employee loyalty, while also significantly influencing the work environment. Furthermore, the work environment positively and significantly affects employee loyalty and partially mediates the relationship between entrepreneurial behavior and employee loyalty, indicating both direct and indirect pathways. These findings highlight the novelty of integrating entrepreneurial behavior and work environment dynamics in explaining employee loyalty. They also emphasize the importance of fostering entrepreneurial practices and supportive work environments to improve employee retention and organizational performance in agro-industrial settings ee retention and organizational performance in agro-industrial settings.

Abstract

Financial distress prediction models remain vulnerable to misclassification when firms report significant non-recurring income that obscures deteriorating operational fundamentals. In order to determine whether a 2024 improvement in the Altman Z-Score Emerging Market Scoring (EMS) signal truly reflects operational recovery or is distorted by transitory income, this study examines a false recovery phenomenon in PT Supra Boga Lestari Tbk (RANC), an Indonesian premium retailer undergoing digital transformation. The study calculates annual Z-Score values and does a what-if restatement analysis using audited financial data from the Indonesia Stock Exchange covering 2022–2025 using a quantitative descriptive single-case design. The findings verify that RANC spent the entire time in the financial difficulty zone. Crucially, the apparent improvement in 2024 was accompanied by a 42.7 percent drop in operating cash flow, which was caused by a non-recurring disposal gain of Rp110.7 billion that concurrently inflated total assets and earnings. A paradoxical Z-Score of 2.1546 (grey zone) was obtained from a what-if restatement that excluded this gain. This revealed a structural conundrum in which, when transient revenue is present, the model's component interactions generate noise rather than trustworthy diagnostic signals. These results show that gains in Z-Score may be a deceptive recovery signal that is unrelated to actual operational health. It is recommended that investors and analysts add operating cash flow analysis and earnings quality screening to distress model results, especially for companies going through post-acquisition digital transformation.
