Abstract

Education is a basic need for every human being. The aim of education is to shape humans so they are able to adapt in their lives, by developing the various potentials that exist within them. In the educational process, various views are faced, including understanding related to secular thinking in the world of education. In this paper the author will discuss and criticize secular education. Education in the current era is experiencing various challenges ranging from secularism to implementing the noble values of religious teachings in social life. Muslims are very pragmatic, and even tend to be opportunistic. Secular Ideas in today's life are presented and packaged in a beautiful way through globalization and modernization, which is in line with the development of Western civilization. Secularism is an ideology that seeks to eliminate religious values that originate from revelation in world life, or separate religious life from the world which is actually different from the aim of education, namely forming a pious human spirit.

Abstract

This research aims to investigate the impact of applying Islamic values and principles in the context of organizational management, specifically the role and responsibilities of a manager. Adopting a qualitative approach, this study analyzes the concept of management from an Islamic perspective and how it can be implemented in day-to-day managerial practices. Through in-depth interviews and literature review, this research identifies relevant and profound principles of Islamic management and evaluates how managers can integrate these values into their decision-making and operational actions. The Islamic approach to management is elucidated through concepts such as justice, business ethics, value-based leadership, and social responsibility. The findings of this research are expected to provide new insights into the significance of the Islamic approach in the context of modern management. Practical implications include guidance for managers to understand and implement Islamic management principles within their frameworks, aiming to strengthen the quality of decision-making and enhance the balance between organizational goals and the high moral values upheld in Islam.

Abstract

Memorizing the Qur’an is not an easy task; in other words, it is not as simple as turning one’s palm. One important effort that must be considered in guiding Qur’an memorization is the method used. This study aims to explain the guidance for memorizing the Qur’an using the wahdah, kitabah, and sima’i methods at the Baitul Qur’an Tahfiz House in Durian Village, Sambas District. This research employs field research with a descriptive approach. Data sources were obtained from ustaz (teachers/mentors), students (santri), and the administrators of the Baitul Qur’an Tahfiz House. Data collection techniques included: (1) non-participant observation, (2) structured interviews, and (3) documentation. The data analysis techniques used consisted of data reduction, data display, verification, and drawing conclusions. Data validity was examined using source triangulation and member checking. The results of the study successfully revealed the methods used in guiding Qur’an memorization as follows: (1) The wahdah method has been implemented in the guidance process, in which students read one verse of the Qur’an repeatedly under the guidance of an ustaz until they are fluent in terms of pronunciation, tajwid, and makharij al-huruf. After the first verse is mastered well, students proceed to the next verse. Subsequently, the first and second verses are repeated together until the memorization is correctly connected. This process is carried out continuously until several verses or one page can be memorized fluently; (2) The kitabah method involves teaching students to write the verses of the Qur’an, and as a subsequent program, students who enjoy writing Arabic (hijaiyah) letters are directed toward the art of Arabic calligraphy; (3) The sima’i method also trains students’ listening skills by having them listen to Qur’anic verses either orally or through audio-visual media. This method also facilitates memorization, as students continuously listen to the recitations played through audio or audio-visual media.
