Abstract

Abstract

This study analyzes the effect of inflation and interest rates on banking sector stock prices. The objective is to determine the partial and simultaneous effects, helping investors understand macroeconomic factors in investment decisions. A quantitative approach was used with multiple linear regression. A sample of 14 banking companies was selected using purposive sampling techniques, and secondary data from 2020–2024 from the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) and Bank Indonesia was used. Inflation did not have a significant effect on stock prices. Conversely, interest rates showed a significant partial effect. Simultaneously, inflation and interest rates jointly influence banking sector stock prices. Inflation does not significantly affect banking stock prices, while interest rates have a significant effect. Investors are advised to pay attention to interest rates, and further research should include additional macroeconomic variables

Abstract

Learning science concerning early childhood should focus on a fun learning process. However, children's interest in learning while participating in the science learning process is still low; some children are busy playing alone, disturbing their friends, doing other work, and going in and out for various reasons when science learning occurs. This study aims to increase children's interest in learning science through plant puzzle media. The research used the Classroom Action Research (CAR) with the Kemmis-Taggart model with four stages: plan, implementation, observation, and reflection. The participants are ten children aged 5-6 years at Al Faiz Early Childhood Education (ECE) Langsa, Aceh. The researcher used an observation sheet with four indicators: interest in learning, attention to learning, motivation, and knowledge to obtain improvement data. The results showed an increased children's interest in learning science in each cycle. The average score of children in the Well Developed (WD) category was 76%. In addition, children's activities also showed outstanding improvement during the teaching and learning process. The researcher concluded that plant puzzle media could increase children's interest in learning science. The implication of research related to the effectiveness of plant puzzle media on learning other than science needs to be studied further.

Abstract

This study investigated the effect of Screencast-O-Matic–assisted Project-Based Learning (PjBL) on the creativity of prospective Islamic early childhood education teachers in higher education. A quantitative method with a descriptive-associative design was employed. The participants were 75 sixth-semester students from the Islamic Early Childhood Education program at IAIN Langsa, Aceh, selected using the Slovin sampling technique. Data were collected using an observation checklist measuring four dimensions of creativity - fluency, flexibility, originality, and elaboration - and a questionnaire capturing students' responses toward the implementation of Screencast-O-Matic–assisted PjBL. Data analysis was conducted using Pearson's product–moment correlation, t-tests, and simple linear regression in SPSS version 20. The findings revealed that PjBL supported by Screencast-O-Matic had a positive and statistically significant effect on students' creativity (t = 2.312, p = 0.004). However, the strength of this relationship was relatively weak (r = 0.370), indicating that the learning model contributed only marginally to overall creativity development. Further analysis showed that the contribution of technology-assisted PjBL was not evenly distributed across creativity dimensions. The learning model was more effective in enhancing students' elaboration skills, particularly in organizing, developing, and presenting ideas in a structured manner, while its effect on originality remained limited. These results suggest that Screencast-O-Matic–assisted PjBL supports structured idea development rather than the generation of genuinely novel ideas, especially when instructional design does not explicitly target divergent thinking and originality. Consequently, although the learning model demonstrates a statistically significant contribution to creativity, the research objectives were only partially achieved. Future research is therefore recommended to employ mixed-method or experimental designs, develop project tasks that explicitly target originality and divergent thinking, and examine the long-term effects of technology-assisted PjBL on broader pedagogical competencies and professional readiness across diverse educational contexts.
