Abstract

Climate change is one of the global problems currently being faced by the world. Indonesia is one of the countries that is vulnerable to the impacts of climate change. The Climate Village Program (Proklim) is one of the efforts made by the government to reduce the impact of climate change. Community participation is an important factor in the successful implementation of Proklim. Community participation can be interpreted as community involvement in all stages of program implementation, starting from planning, implementation, evaluation and utilization of results. This research aims to analyze community participation in the implementation of Proklim in Palasari Hamlet, Sukahurip Village, Cihaurbeuti District, Ciamis Regency, West Java. This research uses qualitative research methods. Research data was obtained through in-depth interviews with sources, observation and documentation. The research results show that community participation in implementing Proklim in Palasari Hamlet has gone well. Community participation has been visible since the planning, implementation and utilization stages. At the planning stage, the community is involved in providing ideas and thoughts about the activities that will be carried out in Proklim. At the implementation stage, the community is involved in implementing Proklim activities, such as planting trees, building infiltration wells, and composting. At the harvest utilization stage, the community feels the benefits of Proklim activities, such as the availability of clean water, cleaner air, and increased agricultural productivity. However, there are still several things that need to be improved in the implementation of Proklim in Palasari Hamlet, namely the need to increase community capacity in implementing Proklim activities and the need for support from the regional government and central government.

Abstract

The environment is something around humans that influences human life development. A good environment is one that is clean, healthy, and free from waste. The issue of waste in Indonesia is still a problem that has not been fully addressed. This also occurs in the Abdi Negara Housing Complex, where residents often dispose of waste improperly, leading to garbage being carried by rainwater and clogging the drains. The purpose of this socialization is to raise awareness among the community not to litter, especially into the drains, and it is hoped that the community can manage waste properly. The method used involves observation, followed by socialization using videos and practical waste management demonstrations explained in detail by the speaker, along with discussions with the residents of the Abdi Negara Housing Complex. The results of this socialization include increased awareness of the community in the Abdi Negara Housing Complex regarding environmental cleanliness, improved understanding of differentiating organic and inorganic waste, a growing desire to turn plastic waste into ecobricks, increased interest in weaving plastic waste into mats and turning it into a business opportunity.

Abstract

Garbage is an issue of concern in the community because there are still many less sensitive to cleanliness around it. Efforts by local authorities have also not been able to wake the public up to the importance of cleanliness. A major factor that needs to be recognized is self - examination by handling garbage in its proper place at the next level by sorting garbage according to its type. The selection of garbage isa step-by-step separation of litter of different kinds, there is organic garbage, inorganic garbage, to residue garbage. Selection has several benefits: to reduce pollution, to produce reusable products, to produce some energy through compost fertilizers that can be used as crops. The one that can be treated is the racyclable waste, and the one that cannot be treated is the non-racyclable waste.

Abstract

The Sustainable Food Home Area (KRPL) is a form of optimizing the use of yards which is carried out through efforts to empower women to optimize their yards so that they can experience the benefits of yards as a source of family food. With this, an area can be created that is rich in sources of food needs that can be produced by every woman in the household from the results of optimizing the yard. The approach taken in this program is carried out through the development of sustainable agriculture, by establishing a nursery from a small area of land by prioritizing local resources so as to maintain sustainability. In Indonesia itself, there is quite a large yard area, reaching 10.3 Ha or around 14% of the entire agricultural area. To overcome this, the government issued a policy in regulation Number 17 of 2015 concerning Food Security and Nutrition in Article 26 which states that one of the efforts to diversify food is through the use of yard land. The importance of the government in creating food diversity in meeting community needs in accordance with local potential to create a prosperous community life. Therefore, currently many village governments are holding KRPL implementation programs in their areas.
